Rate this book
In what circumstance wouldn’t a knight want to rescue a damsel in distress? A former SEAL working for Legendary Securities, North Dockter has found the very circumstance that challenges even his stalwart, chivalrous ways. Nikki Beckwith is a firecracker who butts heads with him at every turn, refusing to follow orders or listen to his experience unless doing so suits her.

He’s always been there for her, and, if ever she needed a bolthole to make changes in her life, it’s now. Maybe it’s time to return to the States…particularly after meeting North and realizing the attraction between them is more than she believed possible.

But Nikki soon realizes that no place is safe after her grandfather is attacked in his home. Even with her gorgeous guardian angel hovering close by, will she be too late to make all the changes she’s envisioned?

Another read full of suspense and action from Dale Mayer and I love it.
This one is the story of one of the newest members of Legendary Security, yes it's about the sweet charming North who's jealous with his teammates that already found love, so he's determined to accomplish the mission and finding his mate. And with dangerous lurking every corner will North finally find his love? Oh yeah I love this story. It might a bit lighter than the previous book but the intensity of the suspense and mystery is still superb, it keeps me turning the pages and definitely devoured it in short time. And I really enjoying the love and sweet moments throughout this book.

If you love romance read packed with suspense and mystery, this one is for you.

Who knew that working for an import/export business could be so dangerous! When North and Anders are sent to England to help Charles’ granddaughter, little does North know that his life will change forever. Nikki was at the wrong place at the wrong time and discovered a major problem with their latest imports. Even MI6 gets involved with this one. There is lots of action, mystery, danger and romance in this great book, which grabs you from chapter one and won’t let go until you finish the story. I couldn’t put it down.

“Maybe I wanted a few days to spend time with you.”

Author Dale Mayer is a prolific writer best known for her Psychic Visions and Family Blood Ties series and her SEALs focused novels. Her contemporary romances are raw and full of passion and emotion (Second Chances, SKIN), her thrillers will keep you guessing (By Death series), and her romantic comedies will keep you giggling (It's a Dog's Life and Charmin Marvin Romantic Comedy series). To go with her fiction, she also writes nonfiction in many different fields with books available on resume writing, companion gardening and the US mortgage system. She has recently published her Career Essentials Series.

Dale has a real sense of military tactics and jargon and that is one reason her SEALs books are so immediately accessible as well as genuinely tender and suspenseful. She sets a mood about her title character so well in the Preface that we are with him from the start – ‘North Dockter was a sucker for a happy ending, which was good because Levi’s compound was a bloody mess of sappy stories. With Liam having his very own Lily, he traveled back and forth to visit her at the elephant sanctuary when he had days off. Liam kept a room here at Levi’s compound, where Lilianna was a regular visitor. Her father, Jim, had stepped back into his world as if he’d never stepped out. And it appeared the sanctuary was thriving under his leadership once again. Press releases picked up his miraculous return to good health, and the funds poured back in again. North was proud of everybody’s contribution to that. He was also particularly attached to one of the elephants: Billie. North spent more than a few hours a week visiting her. Once Jim had roped North into giving Billie a bath—one of the best days of North’s life—he was hooked. He’d never been much of an animal person before, but Billie had changed that. Now all North needed to do was find a life for himself. He wasn’t sure how everyone kept coming up with partners. But they did. Ice walked past just then. She stopped and studied him. “You okay?” He nodded. “How about you find me a partner too?” She looked at him in surprise. “Of course. You’re next. But I have to admit, most of the time the guys shy away from any active involvement in matchmaking on my part.” Her smile widened. “When they choose to go into these kinds of jobs, they seem pretty determined to not fall prey to the magic of love. Like the two don’t mix.” He shook his head. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot. They end up completely in love by the end of one of their assignments. I’d like to believe in love at first sight, but it’s something I’ve never experienced. Yet, I did see it happening between Liam and Lily.” “Given the relationships that have sprung up around you, there’s definitely enough evidence for you to believe in it. But I can’t promise anything.” That made him chuckle. “Not expecting any promises.” “Good,” she said gently. “Matter of fact, you’re heading to England in two days.”
He looked at her in surprise. “Why’s that?” “Charles Beckwith, a good friend and supporter in England, has a granddaughter in trouble. Her name is Nikki, and she’s en route to his place. He couldn’t get the full story out of her but said she was in tears on the phone. It’s not minor, but he doesn’t know how major it is. He’s asked for our delicate touch to help her out.” North frowned. “What kind of trouble?” “No idea but …” Ice said sadly, “you’ll be perfect for the job.”

Dale takes this heartwarming opening and develops the plot as follows: ‘In what circumstance wouldn’t a knight want to rescue a damsel in distress? A former SEAL working for Legendary Securities, North Dockter has found the very circumstance that challenges even his stalwart, chivalrous ways. Nikki Beckwith is a firecracker who butts heads with him at every turn, refusing to follow orders or listen to his experience unless doing so suits her. When she discovers someone is smuggling drugs through her company’s warehouse and her life is threatened, Nikki flees to her aging grandfather’s home in England to lay low and regroup. Even with her gorgeous guardian angel hovering close by, will she be too late to make all the changes she’s envisioned?’

Solidly crafted with an innate sense of military commitment, Dale writes these novels well indeed. There is a reason why she is a best selling author!

The prologue of this book had me giggling a bit. Everyone seems to know that if Ice chooses your assignment you'll find the right person for your happily ever after. Ice says she can't promise North he'll meet someone, and he agrees that it's not something she can promise. We who read this series know better.

Ice informs him he'll be heading to England in a couple of days. I seems their friend and supporter, Charles Beckwith's granddaughter Nikki is in trouble. How much and what kind of trouble is unknown at the moment.

North is met at the airport by Anders who flew in from Germany where he had been working on another of Levi's cases. Fortunately that one was still at the information gathering stage. Charles has sent a car for them and it's obvious the driver has training, his eyes taking in everything.

Instead of taking them to Charles' home, the driver makes a stop elsewhere. It seems MI6 has determined that they should be instructed on their behavior, and giving that task to Jonas Halpin. Although it was Badger and his crew that caused issues in England, it seems anyone acquainted with them was going to be talked to and warned against causing trouble. Something both Ander's and North found interesting, was the fact that neither Charles or Levi gave Jonas any information. Jonas had spoken with both of them and still had no idea why the two of them were in England. I almost felt sorry for Jonas, almost.

Nikki Beckwith works for a small but profitable import/export company that is currently dissolving all contracts to close it's doors. The owner has cancer that hasn't responded to treatments. He has no heirs and couldn't find a buyer. The event that sent Nikki running to her grandfather was being threatened by two men. All having to do with what both her and her bosses assistant believed was a clerical error. Unfortunately that order that appeared to be double what was expected, was exactly that.

North and Anders start the initial rundown on the business that shares the warehouse space, then decide they need to take a look at the order in question. Of course Nikki has no intention of staying behind.

What they find in the warehouse is more than just the crates. Three men were there also. It wasn't hard to guess they were there to move the merchandise.

I really love the way North and Anders handle evidence and what information they pass to MI6 through Jonas. They need to know exactly how deep and dangerous this trouble is. So they keep a sample of what they find for themselves.

North and Nikki's attraction takes off after their visit to the warehouse, leading her to think returning to the US is something she could do. I definitely got a kick out of the way Charles and Nikki both handle Jonas.

I find I love Charles' home, there's far more than meets the eye as the danger escalates to his home.

This is a page-turning read with action and suspense, lots of interesting décor, and that simmer to sizzle romance I love.

I also loved the lead in to the next book Ander's Angel, that is next on my TBR pile.

North’s Nikki is an action packed novel with a fast-paced plot and plenty of unexpected twists and turns.
The story contains some very sad passages that move the readers and make them empathise with the feeling of injustice that accompanies the loss of a good person.
I appreciated this particular sensitivity in the author, something that I personally find to be quite rare, in other books of the same genre.
The story is populated by original and lively characters.
Nikki is a smart and independent young woman. Living an ordinary and serene life she is initially wary and nervous of the unexpected circumstances that she has to face.
A caring and sensitive individual, she is deeply concerned for her grandfather as well as being worried for her co-workers, refusing to accept that violence can become a part of her life.
During the course of the story, she is revealed to be a determined and clever individual, playing a substantial role in the resolution of the case she finds herself involved in.
North is introverted and level headed; a trained and lethal professional. He does, however, show a human side that has not lost the perception of the pain and loss that can be caused by violence. He also has a good sense of humour. Finally, he is single-minded and determined in his pursuit of Nikki.
Charles, Nikki’s mysterious grandfather, is a great complement to the story. A British gentleman with a knack for cooking and a covert professional activity, he is a wise, caring and selfless paternal figure for Nikki.
The book also has a few interesting secondary characters and cameo episodes, such as the barely jotted story of Nathan and Hannah, or the mysterious, yet very human, Jonas that make the reader wonder about potential future developments.
Overall, however, despite the content being at times sad and almost melancholic, the tone of the book remains relatively light, with the few entertaining pages and a humorous finale making it an overall pleasant and enjoyable novel
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Opinions and comments are solely my own.

Could work bring on mayhem with deadly intent?

Fresh from helping Liam save Lily’s elephant sanctuary in Liam’s Lily, North is more than ready for his next assignment. Definitely more than open to the possibilities of finding love, such as his friends and team mates have found. Yet, still having caution guide him. Next assignment… finds him in London, helping an esteemed colleague of Levi… Charles. This charming and worldly gentleman, you’d best not under estimate, no matter his age!!

Yet it’s his feisty granddaughter, Nikki who has captured North’s attention unexpectedly… not only with her fiery personality, this lady is not afraid of voicing her concerns and opinions yet she’ll listen to reason also. It’s the anomaly in a work order that has managed to bring a whole load of intrigue, suspense and murderous intent to their lives.

Dale delivers you a story that transports you from the beginning with beautiful glimpses of Lily’s elephant sanctuary, to the mayhem occurring in London to what comes next for the team. A well written story from start to finish, that also carried a tinge of sadness, that flowed throughout the main story plot. This was beautifully handled through the book.

If you love page-turning mayhem, with a developing romance, and the intrigue of solving a mystery - then Dale Mayer delivers with NORTH’S NIKKI. When trouble really starts to develop and the intent to harm escalates - it will be up to North and his team mate, Anders, to come through and keep Nikki safe from deadly harm.

Highly recommended reading for those that love military based heroes, love solving mysteries and the intricacies of beginnings and endings. This can definitely be read as a stand alone book but with any good series, there are recurring characters from previous books. If you haven’t already… you may want to start your journey at the beginning of the HEROES FOR HIRE series, for a more developed understanding of the character dynamics and a full appreciation of this series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

North’s Nikki is Dale Mayer’s fifteenth book in her “Heroes for Hire” series. The heroes for hire are all former SEALs who have moved into the private sector. They like the freedom of getting away from the red tape and the “blind obedience” that is part of the SEALs life.

North Dockter is a former SEAL who travels to England to help Nikki Beckwith. She has discovered that crooks are using the warehouse she runs to smuggle drugs. Nikki’s grandfather, Charles, is/was a spy who has worked with North and other men from his agency in the past. Charles calls for their help when he realizes that the smugglers have threatened Nikki’s life.

One of the things I love about Dale Mayer’s books is that there is no formulaic plot to her stories. Each character in her books has different personalities and character traits. In fact, the only thing that the men have in common is that they are former SEALs and therefore are strong and brave. Each woman is also different. The only thing they have in common is independence and stubbornness. They all insist that they actively help solve their own problem.

The plots and conflicts in Ms. Mayer’s book are also very different from each other. In North’s Nikki, North and his partner are protecting Nikki while they help her grandfather search for the smugglers.

As always, Ms. Mayer sets up lots of obstacles as she takes us through complex mazes that seem to lead nowhere. One of the road blocks in this book is the unusually large number of murderous smugglers who chase Nikki throughout the story. The reader quickly realizes that they are not in charge of this operation because they all either die or are captured. In fact, I was surprised when I found out who the main smuggler is.

North’s Nikki has fascinating and charismatic characters with intriguing plots that include lots of adventure and lots of surprises. I enjoyed reading the book!

Fabulous!

This is the latest book in the Heroes For Hire series and it is another great story! I enjoyed the England setting along with the proper way to make tea. I imagine, here in America, with all of our coffee houses, coffee machines, coffee pods, froth, etc., it stands to reason that England is one of the leading countries that make traditional tea and are very precise about it.

I enjoyed the loving relationship between Nikki and her grandfather. Especially when she realizes that he is not just an elderly member of her family but has ties to secrets and talents that governments all over the world utilize on a regular basis. Nikki learns that she is very naive when it comes to people that are up to no good and is learning that men like North and his friend, Anders, live in this lifestyle everyday.

This story has a lot of intrigue, suspense and action. It also has some surprises that you didn’t see coming. Drama surrounds Nikki, an everyday woman with an everyday job, she finds herself verbally assaulted as she is following up on an clerical error and soon finds out that things are not always what they seem. North sees the possible danger sooner than Nikki and takes steps to investigate what could be more than just a clerical error, but before they all know it, there is murder and mayhem surrounding them.

I enjoyed all of the twists and turns with the villains in this story. The suspense of who is really behind all of the secrets and murders is drawn out beautifully until the very end. North and Nikki finally find the time to pay attention to each other and the growing attraction they can’t ignore. Great story! I loved it!

In this, the latest book in the SEALS OF HONOR series, it is great to reconnect with our many friends at Legendary Securities. Kudos to Ice for adding “possible partner” to the assignment criteria for Levi’s team! :D

In North’s Nikki we see Charles Beckwith in his personal life after knowing him as a vital resource for assignments taking Levi’s team members to England, as well as reconnect with MI6’s Jonas Halpern. I love that every character in the SEALS OF HONOR and HEROES FOR HIRE series becomes family and continues to appear in the series. It’s like getting an exciting annual family news update.

Nikki Beckwith’s rather tedious job of preparing and tracking paperwork for her company’s international imports procured for their various clients has hit a snag. What began as trying to reconcile what looks like a duplicate shipment of wine results in the discovery that the cases contain something other than wine and turns into a threatening situation for her. Nikki’s first instinct is to call her grandfather and head to his home for advice and safety. At first, she bristles at North’s and Anders’ arrival, but her almost immediate attraction to North and eventual sibling-like trust and respect for Anders wins her over to the benefits of having these two smart, strong men in Charles’s house for protection when he too is attacked by the thugs who threatened Nikki.

It’s a book filled with twists and turns and a very cool look into the security measures built into Charles’s big house. Fascinating all around!

North Dockter works for Legendary Securities and was a SEAL before he got frustrated and left. Now working he meets Nikki Beckwith who is a complete firecracker and not in the habit of sitting back and doing what she is told unless it all makes sense to her. However she had discovered someone smuggling drugs through her employer's warehouse and is now in danger - so it is North's aim to protect her after her grandfather requested help to do so. However she starts to think about returning back to the US after meeting North and realising the chemistry they have. Can North protect Nikki, find out who is behind the plot, make sure everyone else is ok all at the same time? In all that chaos is there any change for Nikki and North to explore what seems to be likely (if they were to see it) and give being together a chance?.

Wow - this had a lot of drama and excitement as the plot unfolded and and more and more happened. There were a lot of twists and turns as the story unfolded and they discovered more and more people who were involved. I love Nikki who was very feisty and very strong willed and confident yet seemed to not lose her femininity when it was really needed. Well written, it was a great example of the SEAL based romance genre and fit very well into the series based at Legendary Security.

Terrific romantic suspense story!

North and his partner, Anders, are sent by Legendary Security to the aid of the granddaughter of one of Levi's trusted friends. Nikki has found herself in a bit of trouble when she uncovers an extra shipment in the warehouse of the import business she works for. Working together with MI6, Nikki and North investigate every clue to find out who's behind the smuggling and the attacks to keep her quiet.

The romance between North and Nikki blossoms naturally as they learn to trust each other and lean on each other's strengths. This story is not all hearts and flowers as the villains leave a heavy body count in their wake, but ultimately good triumphs over evil and justice is achieved.

I loved the protective side of North toward Nikki, and it was refreshing to read a romance that was void of the usual relationship angst. Nikki is ready for a change since the company she worked for is going out of business, so her future with North is as smooth as glass.

Her grandfather, Charles, was a delightful character, full of wisdom and nowhere near ready to be put out to pasture. His contributions to the investigation were essential, and his longevity in the intelligence business was deftly handled.

I love all the books in this series, and this one is another winner. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Another one bites and finds the one that they can’t be without and this time it’s North, who goes to England to help protect the granddaughter of a man that is known in the secret spy world and who has ties to the military, abroad and at home. Nikki has stumbled upon some startling information and runs to her grandad, Charles. Charles doesn’t like the sounds of what’s going on and asks Levi for help, sending North and Anders to assist. What they all stumble upon has the M16 on their tail, drug dealers, snipers, murderers and men looking to hurt Nikki...will North be able to protect her.
Another great instalment in the Heroes for Hire series with some steam, a hot SEAL and a strong, spitefire of a woman. I love how all these reads don’t have drama between the couples, there is enough action, murder, suspense all around, especially in this one which has a few more murders and more of a mystery going on than previous reads...loved it. At first Nikki was a bit annoying but as the story went on she grew on me and I loved the banter between her and Anders, a love/hate or big brother/little sister arguing going on which had me chuckling a few times.

I’ve loved every book in this series and this another hit. In this book North and Anders travel to London with the assignment to protect Charles granddaughter Nikki. Nikki is in trouble because when she went to investigate a double shipment and saw something in her company’s warehouse that she wasn’t supposed to see. As soon as North and Anders arrive they are warned by Jonas from MI6 not to make any trouble. Although North and Anders don’t make any trouble, trouble comes to them. I know it’s kind of cliché, girl gets in trouble, ex-seal come to save her. What makes these books so likeable are the characters. Nikki is not someone who is going to be sidelined and she makes sure everyone knows that. North and Anders are working with MI6 but trying to keep one step ahead of them. I loved the banter between the characters and would find myself smiling as I read the dialog. You’ll love it too.

North's Nikki by Dale Mayer
Heroes for Hire Series Book Sixteen
North Dockter is heading to England to help out a friend of Levi's. They'd barely landed before they were warned to behave by M16. Seems some other SEALs had previously been to England and caused a ruckus. North loved working for Levi and with guys like Ander. And helping out Charles and is fiery granddaugh-ter is a plus too.
Nikki Beckwith had just gone to check on an order at her work's warehouse when all heck broke out. Warned to get out of the warehouse by a couple tough guys, but not before she saw something unusual in a crate. Granddad called in a favor, bringing two tougher guys from America to find out what was happening and to protect her.
Somehow Ice seems to know when to send the right employee of Legendary Se-curity on just the right job. Meaning...the right job where he just happens to meet that special lady that will complete him.

It's always fun when reading one of the stories in this series to get to see the interaction between the team members of Legendary Securities along with getting to know the person(s) they are tasked with helping.

When North and Anders are sent to England to help out Nikki, they first have to get past Jonas from MI6. And once they get to meet Nikki and her grandfather Charles, they soon learn that Nikki is not going to settle for staying behind while they investigate what is going on in her employer London Emporium's warehouse.

Will North have finally met his match, and love, in the spitfirey Nikki? And what is the story with Nikki's grandfather? It seems there is more to his story than Nikki every knew.

It was great to get to know more of Jonas and hopefully him and his team will make an appearance in future books. Can't wait now to read Anders' story and she where the author takes him.

As legendary securities head back to England and the chaos that was caused still fresh in Jonas’s mind, the MI6 agent in charge of protecting British subjects. North has traveled to England on the day so of Levi to help the granddaughter of Charles, helper of all things that need security. Nikki is in trouble, having spotted a double delivery of an order she gets threatened as she goes to investigate. It’s a race against time as her grandfather gets attacked, dead bodies start to pile up and North risks his life to protect Nikki. Will North get his wish for a love of his own? Can he protect Charles and Nikki? Will they get their man? A great read from start to finish which had the right amount suspense in and all of the emotions from the main characters as they start to feel something as well as finding the bad guys. Nikki was definitely made for North. Can’t wait for the next book

Dale Mayer has kept me engrossed in this series by writing original stories with lovable characters! She writes stories that keep you wanting more and more! I loved reading about North and Nikki and loved how the story-line kept pulling you in and turning the pages! The other characters that are in the book come from books in the series and make you want to learn more about them all. Having read all the other books in the series helps make the book that much better but isn't a must. You will still fall in love with all the characters from past books that make appearances to help out the main characters. Loving the style of Dale's writing and characters keeps you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. I loved loved loved this book and look forward to the next in the series!

What a very intriguing story complex which keeps you on your toes! Ms Mayer you've certainly done it again. Every single book in this series are completely different. All the characters are unique but they all have the same dedication to their job, each other and ultimately, their girl. Action packed and exciting and everything that you come to expect from this author.

Adore the way you seem to think you're on the right track to knowing the ending and then there is always a twist that you truly didn't see coming. Extremely well written and another addition to my favourite books list. A book you should allow time to start and finish in one go as I for one cannot seem to stop reading until I'm finished. Can't wait for the next installment and this series could continue on and on and I for one would be thrilled about that. Grab your copy now.

When Nikki finds an unusual shipment in the warehouse of her employer rather than the company wanting to find out they tell her to forget about it. Curious and confused she discusses it with her grandfather who fears she is danger, so he contacts his old friend Levi.

Levi is more than willing to help out an old friend, so he sends North and Anders to England to protect Nikki and find out what is going on.

Nikki is feisty and is not about to let North and Anders have all the fun. Their investigation leads them on an adventured filled with suspense, twists and romance. Nikki is feisty and is not about to let North and Anders have all the fun but will North be able to keep her safe?

This is a great addition to the series and I look forward to the next story involving the men of Legendary Security. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Darn it, Dale Mayer DID IT AGAIN FOLKS! She delivered another glorious, adrenaline inducing, action packed, sizzling romantic suspense of the HIGHEST order! North's Nikki is PERFECTION with wonderful characters, edgy suspense, heart pounding action and a romance that nearly brought me to my knees. These Heroes For Hire stories are so good and impossible not to enjoy and love.

I really liked spirited Nikki and all alpha to the core North. These two had sparks flying from the very moment they meet. And when Nikki gets all stubborn, it doesn't stoop North in the least from protecting her and falling for her. This story is all consuming and so effing good!

North's Nikki gets a SPECTACULAR FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

Another good story from Heroes for Hire series. I like Nikki, the heroine. She was a strong woman, a civilian that quite level headed in the face of violence, an idealist who refused to accept violence as constant part of life but realistic that it does happen. North is an ex-SEAL that found himself protecting Nikki after she found illegal activities in her warehouse.

The story was more touching than the others in the series, yet it still light enough to be entertaining. As others in the series, this was a fast paced, fast read book. Something to be read while waiting for your plane.

I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through Booksprout, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

North's Nikki

WOW! Another interesting story. North is sent to England to keep an eye on Charles' granddaughter - Nikki. As the story moves along, the situation becomes more dangerous for Nikki when she discovers the clerical error on a shipment and is threatened. North meets Anders at the airport and they begin their protection service and their investigation. When they find out that there is more than wine in their crates, things start to go downhill fast. It is unfortunate that 4 MI6 agents are killed because this team was getting too close to the truth. When the big fish is finally caught, the case winds down and North and Nikki finally find their happily ever after. FANTASTIC job Dale! I would recommend this book.

(3.5) I enjoy every book by Dale Mayer, some more than others. As always there is under lining thread of real world issues. Just enough to remind, never preaching. I could relate to this one. I guessed the wrong culprit in this one, classic misdirection and I fell for it. I enjoy the seals and North was no exception. I was a little befuddled how Nikki could be so intelligent and yet clueless as to her grandfathers history. Then I thought back on my sporadic visits with my grandfather and it was like, ahhh, ok. My one big issue was at the end, as things were getting tense and the culprit appears, was wait a minute.... well crap, it would be a spoiler. It was a fast read and enjoyable.

North works for Legendary securities, and Nikki works for a company that distributes different goods.
Nikki is a handful and keeps North on his toes with her stubborn attitude haha. Another great story in this series!
Curl up and enjoy a great afternoon or evening with this book. You will enjoy yourself, and wish the story could just continue for a few more months.
I tried to take little breaks while reading this book so I could make it last, but as much as I hated to finish the book I just couldn't put it down.

North is the next to fall in the compound. His mission sends him to England to protect Nikki who has gotten into a mess. Her grandfather is a man of mystery with ties to the rest of the gang and our favorite MI6 guy Jonas. This book has a fast paced feel to it, but it has a great ending. I liked Anders and can't wait to see his story. i almost hope the author does a spin-off series for the MI6 group. North is wonderful in how he navigates all that is thrown at him and he proves the guys are human. Nikki is another strong female lead. Well written and a great story. I volunteered to read this book through booksprout.

Even though North and Anders are there to determine what is happening at Nikki's company, Nikki won't be left out of the investigation. North doesn't have an issue with that as long as they can keep Nikki safe. In this story, Jonas and M16 operatives are also involved in solving who is behind the smuggling at the warehouse. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. In this book, I really feel like I know both the main characters as well as the secondary ones. This is another good suspenseful book from Dale Mayer. I really like and recommend this series.

I love SEAL romances and no one does them better than Dale Mayer with captivating characters, and a well-crafted suspenseful romance that kept me glued to the book from the first page to the last. I fell in love with former SEAL North Dockter who now works for Legendary Securities and his attraction and chemistry with fiery Nikki Beckwith who discovers someone is smuggling drugs through her company's warehouse and her life is threatened. Fans of this genre will love North's Nikki and I look forward to the next book in the Heroes for Hire series. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my voluntary review. I also purchased a copy to read again later.

I didn't really care for this book. My big problem was the character Nikki. Her grandfather vouched for North but yet you don't want to give them info about what is going on. Then oh no my company is squeaky clean even though I haven't talked to the owner in months or almost any of the important people. And oh she is completely in the dark about what her grandfather does. I mean seriously this is just unbelievable. I really did not like this character. Not really a nice person as it was wrote. I really really enjoyed most of these books in the series wrote by Dale Mayer but not this one.

Another action packed book by Dale Mayer.
This book is a real page turner that keeps you on the edge wondering what will happen next.

Nikki's fiery attitude keeps everyone on their toes, especially North Dockter, which Anders Renau finds very funny since he sees more than is visible to North at the moment.

This book is filled with drama, intrigue, murder, smuggling and daring maneuvers that make for a great story as well as the sparks between North and Nikki. Said sparks leaving the two wondering how they will do a relationship being on opposite side of the world.

This is a must read so grab a copy, sit back and enjoy the journey.

North and Nikki was a good addition to the current series. I must admit when our favorite MI6 person showed up U started to wonder if this mystery had clues to Badger's team troubles. I like the fact that Nikki was so strong willed and did not mind standing up for what she believed to be right. I loved her grandfather, and I can see someone traits she inherited from him. The story kept on flowing and I like the fact that the mystery was a different kind from the others in the series. I always love to see characters from the other series and can't wait for the next book.
