Volumes 6-10 of the "Living Among Bigfoot" series continue the supposedly true story of Tom Lyons who had the unfortunate bad luck to get off on the wrong foot with an intelligent but apparently furious member of this hominid species. Tom sorts through who he can and cannot trust, deals with a bit of the paranormal and, of course, crosses paths with an all-powerful and secretive government agency who wants him to go away.

In summary, the books read like a well written and well edited, the Audible versions at least, conglomeration of all the scariest Bigfoot stories you come across in movies, fake documentaries and on YouTube. Though a fascinating read, all that's just a little too perfect for a true story.

I take Sasquatch very seriously and when someone presents a fake story as true, well, that's called a hoax. And, hoaxes do great damage to the community of committed researchers who are trying to document the existence of these creatures so they can be protected from vile humanity, vile governments and vile drug companies who would experiment on them with no regard for their intelligence.

These specific volumes drift too far into the conspiratorial to seem true. Also, the scary government men are just a little too scary and a little too powerful to be realistic. Further, the way things get wrapped up so neatly towards the end of these volumes doesn't ring true. If the author simply had not presented this as a true story then I wouldn't have any problem with it.

Lastly, I also found it insulting in Volume 10 when Tom was surprised a Southerner would be working for a government agency in California. As a Southerner who worked for the government in almost every state for three decades I can assure you we are fully aware of where California is, know how to drive there and, believe it or not, can even buy plane tickets without special help. He had no problem with an Australian character in his story, yet a Southerner from his own country gives him pause?? Jesus, that kind of ignorant, offensive shit gets old.

Thrilling Installment of the Excellent Series

This is the latest installment in the exciting Living Among Bigfoot series. While I have read a multitude of Bigfoot books, the author's encounters are unique and frightening. The level of aggression shown would frighten anyone. The usual "they won't bother you" or they don't harm people most definitely does not apply in this case. I devoured this book as usual in one sitting, as it is too compelling not to put down. This is definitely an X-File tale. Never mind the sample, just click buy and get ready for another thrill ride.

Potential spoilers, so read after you have read the book. After facing dire threats in two fronts, help arrives from an unlikely source. This edition will definitely delight the conspiracy theorists with who knows what about whom. Most definitely things are being covered up. I for one am glad someone was watching and the author is very forty to not have been a part of a tragedy. While many questions remained unanswered, some were and I am glad to see that some are taking the dangerous ones seriously. Bigfoot can truly be the Apex predator.

Still reading

Tom Lyons I hope you sell this series
to a movie studio. I'm thinking John Cena can play you. Lyle can be played by Lou Diamond Phillips and Dwayne Johnson will be... someone important!

I feel sympathy for Sasquatch Burnie.
I know. But damn if that Squatch wasn't highly intelligent with a hard soul tinged with revenge!

Still formatting issues.
Thanks Tom Lyons

Always entertaining...and interesting!!!.

This installment I devoured in one sitting!. It will raise more questions than it answers, but that's the fun part anyway. This installment starts to hint at government involvement and a cover up. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down!.

Nice and seek

This book gives a person food for thought. No pictures are clear nor is more than one creature ever spotted together and as always the creatures are always elusive. I feel they are meant to be left alone and mankind violates their space and it's only by chance mankind has stumbled across them.

A bit of a segue chapter maybe?

This was far more dull than the previous installments. Still good and likely a necessary part of the overall story. Still looking forward to the next one.
