For some, the road leads to salvation. For others, it’s the last chance for freedom. The Chambers family has come to grips with the world as they knew it being gone. They know the city is the last place they want to be. With no modern vehicles working, they need another way to get out. They just have to figure out what that is. Major Sorley has to acquire the president-elect in New York City and get him back to Washington before President Olstein can destroy what remains of the Republic. This is not a one-man job. He’s going to need help. A family’s plight to escape; a soldier’s mission to complete. Continue the story of the Perilous Miles series by P.A. Glaspy. Gripping, realistic, you-can’t-put-it-down fiction!
I like this series a lot. This is the third book, but the event is still very recent so I try to keep that in mind when judging the reactions of the characters. Thank goodness for Amanda because without her all of the women seem to be pretty stupid and unable to grasp what is happening. I also like the parallel political power plot (intentional alliteration). I was very disappointed that there will be a delay on the next book, but I have liked this author's other books a lot too, so I'm sure whatever has bumped this as a priority will be worth reading as well.
Another great series! I know people like these that would have a hard time understanding what it would take to live in a post SHTF world. I'm going to suggest they read this although I'm sure they will call it fiction and it cannot happen. Looking forward to the rest of the story!
A really good on-going adventure that builds the plot and has excitement , humor, mystery, and tension. This author is a gifted wordcrafter and I really love reading her books.
This story left me wanting more. There are a lot of facts that fit well with the story line. No stone is left uncovered when dealing with the day to day survival.
An outstanding series. Well written storyline that takes you on an adventure through the eyes of each character. What would you do if an AMP hit, get to Amazon and start reading
I know there will be a book number four. Enjoying the series. But the people are so liberal minded! I want to shake some sense into them. Carly drives me to violence. Looking for more books.
Great storyline and characters. I just can’t believe that I have to wait for the next book but I’m so happy for P. A. Glaspy and am looking forward to seeing more work.
Can this family find a way to get together and survive the EMT? How much do you help someone until you say enough? Will a family reunion take place? I'm ready for the next installment.
I didn't care for the psychic aspects of this book but overall it was still good. It didn't have anything that hasn't been covered in other emp books but still good.
I really enjoyed all three books in this series. It was non-stop action going on from a number of different perspectives. We've been promise another book next year, and I can't wait!
I love this genre! I feel like I'm being prepared and PA makes it personal and believable! Can't wait for more from this very good writer who is great at sucking you into her story!
P.A. Glassy did not disappoint me. This book is so believable regarding non preppers. I can totally relate to some of the people in this adventure. I really love Amanda and hope to hear more about her in the next book. Keep on writing you are great.
A series that made me think. Read this series !!!!
I found P.A Gladly on Amazon. Something about the series intrigued me. Maybe because i love in Tennessee and that's where it's set. With things in the world the way they are now this could happen. I'm not a collage age person but a 59 year old woman. . My family canned and did other things in this book. I haven't done that in awhile but like everyone else have relied on the convenience of life in the U.S. After reading this I think I will go back to canning. That you P.A.Gladly for a wonderful series. Seriously read the series.
A very realistic portrayal or how things could unfold in such a situation I believe. Very likeable and believable characters allow the story to flow smoothly and unfortunately quickly off the page. I am saddened to hear that their story will be on hold for a time but look forward to reading anything this author is involved in.
I chose a five as all three books were very well written and extremely fun to read. With so many prepping books out, it's hard to find a new storyline that grabs you. These books do. Can't wait for the next one!!
It took a little time to get back into the swing of going between the different story lines. Once things became more familiar though, I couldn't put it down. I'm wondering if Jack and the old neighborhood will be an addition for the next book (considering Will's vision).
Wow Patti, your series just keeps getting better and better. You really now how to keep a fish dangling on the line. This has to be one of the most exciting series that I have ever read. Can't wait for the fourth installment!
Love Amanda, can't wait to see how she and Elliot get along. Joel is not such a noodle but the rest of the family they are going to need to grow a set. I'm cheering on our boys in uniform getting the President elect to DC.
Good story with well written realistic characters. This is probably how most people would react in a similar situation, at least they have a place to go & are not sitting around waiting for help that will not come.
This is so good, I hate to think the author is going to make us wait a year for a conclusion. Admirable characters that are very touching. Seems very realistic in the emp approach..
Another great book. Just ended too soon. Would like for her have gotten the pres-elect to D.C. before the book ended. Oh well, that will be good for the next installment. Keep 'em coming!
Carly honestly has frustrated me so much reading this book. Couldn’t stand Beth either with her “you are obligated to help those who didn’t bother being prepared” attitude if I’m honest, and then Chris with his demands that they give him something. Why do people never have any forethought into the future? Also it’s been what 3 days? And people were looting the morning of the EMP? Truly we don’t know what we would do, how we would react to an EMP but this does seem a little quick since most of the characters seem to think it’s just a bad blackout. Onto book 4 - hopefully Carly’s attitude is less spoilt teen and more the calm mother she should be.
