After reading Private Prick(book 2) and really not liking it I was worried about starting this book. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. Ryssa was cute nerdy, sweet, smart and she knew what she wanted in bed. Zach was so yummy. The sexy cop neighbor that was a dirty talking beast in bed. He was sweet and protective. I could feel the connection between Ryssa and Zach, and the smexy time was hot! I really liked the ending. Sweet HEA! Over all I really liked this book and I am glad I gave Ember Cole a second chance.

It was deliciously dirty, but also totally sweet.
The chemistry between Ryssa and Zach burned through my kindle and this book is not made to be read in public, let me tell you!! It was well written and I loved the characters, so thank you, Isabella, for bringing this author back on my radar.
If you are in a mood for something quick, dirty, yet swoonworthy - don't look further!

This is the third book in Ember Cole's Carnal Mischief series. It seems each one is naughtier than the last. I adored the first two books. Unlawful Entry is a superb book if you're looking for something steamy. However, it's my least favorite of the three.
The steamy scenes were tastefully done, so hot and just naughty enough to give you some new ideas.
It was the characters that didn't work for me. Make no mistake, I knew this was a sexy book, and I wasn't looking for a new book-boyfriend or best friend. I didn't expect well-developed characters to pull on my heartstrings and suck me into their world. What I want from a book like this are characters I can relate to

Both character, but especially Ryssa, read as sex-obsessed. Everything was sexual, everything turned her on, it made me super uncomfortable to read. She had such an extreme reaction to merely hearing her friend talk about sex.
However, I persevered and finished the book. There were two things that kept me hooked: firstly, the sex sounded amazing and I needed to get to the good bits; secondly, the book was very short. In fact, the scene that made me uncomfortable is pretty much the only non-steamy scene in the whole thing.
I'm finding this book tough to rate because from a strictly hot perspective this was the best book yet and deserves 5/5. But I found myself quite put off by the characters which made the incredibly hot (if I imagined any other bookish couple) sex awkward. Overall, Unlawful Entry will get 3.5 stars from me. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new night time read. You won't be disappointed with the steamy bits.

Holy cow! This is one flaming hot read! Damn!

This is the third book by this author that I have read and reviewed this week and it’s by far the best. I love book one; book two was pretty good; but this new release definitely hits the mark.
First off I am a sucker for anything cop. So when we are talking hot cop, I’m all over that. So as you can tell that’s what this book is all about.
Take one overworked little honey and pair her with her secret man crush that lives in the same building and add in a bit anonymous sex and this book literally explodes, in more ways than one.
The author took it to a new level with this novella. If this book were any longer I think my e-reader would have melted. Not a lot of character development except just enough to feel the heat simmering of the pages when these two got it together.
This is definitely a book I will read again. And I don’t say that lightly because I rarely have time to read books over again.
Loaded with blistering passion and sensuality, a taste of erotica, and even some comedic relief. This book has a little bit of everything. The author got my attention with this one.

I didn't really like the previous book, but Ryssa's list was pretty hot. Zach has had a thing for her for a while, but Ryssa's a little nerdy who got tongue tied around him. They were really hot together. He keep worrying over his past, but it was never really revealed why just kinda of glossed over.

This is the third book in Ember Cole’s Carnal Mischief series and while it seems, that each one is naughtier than the previous instalment, this one took the series to new heights for me. The first one was good, the second one was meh and this one, well this one is the winner.
Unlawful Entry is the story about Ryssa the boring self-deprecating lab assistant and, the smoking hot NYPD officer Zach, her bestie’s neighbour. Ryssa has made her work her number one priority in life which means that her social life, is pretty much only hanging out with her bestie, which she barely has time for. During a catch up it becomes clear, that Ryssa seriously needs to get some. There’s just the problem that she’s extremely shy, so she doesn’t want to be setup with someone she could potentially run into in the future. Luckily, her BFF is a genius and suggests that she organizes the entire thing, let the guy into Ryssa’s apartment, where she’ll be waiting blindfolded. Ryssa goes on board with the plan and sets the ground rules: no kissing on the mouth (how very Pretty Woman) and no talking. Absolute anonymity.
Ryssa’s BFF takes reverse psychology to a new level when she tells Zach about the plan. Because in the end, Zach demands it to be him. As an officer he doesn’t want to leave it up to some random Joe, who could end up abusing his power. I’m not exactly sure that “Protect and Serve” necessarily needs to be taken that far, or that he would have offered himself up for jus anyone, but hey-ho, off to do the girl, he must go. When Zach gets to Ryssa the next evening he finds a list of things she wants him to do and, from Ember’s writing it sounds like he does a bang-up job (pun intended).
This is very much a straight forward steamy love story without any big character development, or even description. So, if you’re looking for something with major character growth and complex back stories, this is definitely not the book for you. If you’re looking for a fast paced and short sexy story (I finished it in 2 hours), this one should do the trick.
Personally, I think what I enjoyed the most was the lack of the abovementioned character development or even description. In the previous book Private Prick, it felt too much like Ember tried to provide just that, but it felt half-hearted. In these kinds of books, I prefer to just keep it short and sweet, if you’re not going to invest the time and pages in fully committing.

Zach is a cop, which means breaking the law, or even appearing to, is something he isn't willing to do. Except where Ryssa, his neighbor's best friend, is concerned. He's has numerous fantasies about what he wants to do to her, what they'll do to each other. But Zach is going to keep them as dreams only, despite how desperately he wants her. Unlawful Entry is the perfect romance book for readers that enjoy steamy insta-love romances with a HEA. I love that this story can be read as a standalone and this author does not disappoint in giving readers what they want when it comes to instant love. I was hooked from the very beginning and finished this story within a few hours. It was a great short and steamy read with characters that readers will enjoy. I definitely enjoyed Ryssa and Zach's story because it wasn't predictable. I definitely look forward to reading more books in the future from this author and yes, I would definitely recommend this story.

Ok, this one is better than the previous one in the series. Kristen has a bff who is wicked smart and nerdy who really is just sexually frustrated. She convinced her BFF to have a fling for one night and to be blindfolded for one night. No strings and no attachments! She agrees and has the hots for the cop next door! Zach seems hot and broody and has some insecurities. What I liked is that is a different from the other books. Still Insta -love and a HEA but a little different. Not bad. The scenes were hot and the connection you could feel. Still would have liked more words! A little longer!

As an erotica book, this one was spot on in sexiness class. They were so scorching hot I was afraid my Kindle would burst. Very naughty and imaginative. As this was what I mostly looking for in erotica books, I was very satisfied in that side. However, again, as this was erotica book and not a porn, I was hoping for a more 3-dimensional characters. Not as complex as regular novel, but a bit of depth would be very nice. The main characters felt too flat for me. Maybe because it also a very short story so there wasn’t enough room for a bit of character development.
Anyway, if you looking for a short and extremely sexy book, then go for this. Just don’t read it in public, it’s really best enjoyed alone. Haha.

Incendiary!! Good grief this book was smokin' hot. It's the perfect balance of erotic with a side order of ever so kinky that just made this book steam right off my reader. This story loops into the Henderson Heights building owned by Daniel.

Ryssa and Zach might have a crush on each other but they are not willing to risk developing anything. Zach thinks he is not good enough for Ryssa and Ryssa just doesn’t want to start anything with her best friend sexy neighbor. When her friend sets her up for an anonymous hook up blind folded with the no talking rule then Zach just knows this is his chance. I was kind of disappointed with this book. I was expecting a bit more romance. Yes the steamy scenes were off the chart but that kind of made it difficult to get into the book.

Unlawful Entry by Ember Cole is book three in the Carnal Mischief Series. This is the story of Ryssa and Zach.
Ryssa lives in the Hamilton Heights apartment building that her friend Kristen lives in. Although Kristen next door neighbor is a hot cop named Zach. Ryssa is really attracted to him but knows he should be off limits for a hot one night stand because of the fact that Ryssa sees him most all the time in the building. Zach too is attracted to Ryssa but thinks he not good enough for her so when Kristen set him up to be the unanimous one night stand he goes for it but it opens the door for wanting more.
This was a quick hot read for sure!

This book Was by far my favorite in this series and I think it was because it wasn’t so much of an insta-love. Zach and Ryssa have known each other for a year...Ryssa’s BFF Kristen happens to be Zach’s neighbor so these two had a lot of time for their crushes on one another to simmer into a slow burn. This book didn’t feel rushed at all but it was still fast paced which I liked.
I’m really enjoying this series and I’m kinda hoping to see Kristen get her own book soon.

Scorching hot book! I thought my ereader was going to melt this book was so hot! But damn, what girl doesn't want her own hot cop or mystery man who can go for hours and be so wild, crazy and satisfying between the sheets. I love the list that Ryssa makes for her mystery man, like a girl who knows what she wants and this man better deliver. She sets the expectations right away and she is a girl who know what she wants, just maybe afraid to go after the man who can deliver what she wants. Zach thinks he is a bit to damaged to go after the brainy, sweet Ryssa, but after an experience together that will change both of them forever, will Ryssa ever find out who her mystery man is?

Thanks to an ARC from NetGalley, I’ve been introduced to author Ember Cole and her truly potent erotic style of writing. “Unlawful Entry” is a hot and sexy read that wastes no time providing readers what they want: raw and unfiltered eroticism without the stereotypical trappings of traditional romance stories. A staggeringly quick read that leaves you wanting more, this novel is sure to turn you on and inspire greater interest in Ember Cole’s writing.

This was a quick read. I read it immediately after reading the 2nd book in this series, and I think I enjoyed this book more than that one. As I did in the previous book, I felt like this was too heavy on the sex stuff and not enough of non-sex storyline. Maybe most people enjoy that but I wanted more story. Didn't hate the book but didn't love it either.

Nerdy Ryssa has spent too long concentrating on her career and not on her sex life. When her best friend decides she needs to get laid ASAP. A plan is hatched for a night of blindfolded sex with a stranger so Ryssa can get laid but not be in a relationship. But when the cop from her apartment building offers to be the stud for the night, more than anonymous sex happens. But will the feelings Zach has secretly had for Ryssa make it to the surface and become reality? Or will the one night remain just that? With a storyline that had me hooked from the opening pages, awesome sex scenes and great characters this book is a must read.

Unlawful Entry is the third of Ember Cole’s Carnal Mischief series, and probably my favourite so far. Ryssa and Zach have been longing for each other secretly for quite a while, yet neither has acted on this mutual attraction. While I found the storyline a little “what the” at times, I really liked this couple and was able to move forward without too much distraction. Overall, this has been a quick, easy series to read and a nice way to spend a lazy afternoon.

I had never read anything by this author before, so I didn't know what to expect. Turns out, it's a really quick read, and in that short time, the author does an amazing job of creating a connection to the characters. She has a smooth writing style that just pulls you right in and makes you feel like you know these people. Add to that the scorching hotness that consumes this book, and it's a great read.

Interesting twist to the sex with a stranger story.
Unlawful Entry is another sexy addition to Ember Cole's Carnal Mischief series.
Ryssa and Zach belonged together they just needed a little help from their friend Kristen to see the light. I'm really enjoying this sexy well written series and hope Kristen gets her own hot caring guy.

So far, this book has been my favorite in this series. There are very short stories, mostly about hot couples. Ryssa and Zach. Zach is a hot cop and Ryssa is a nerdy lab tech. They have been both crushing on each other for over a year, and now is the time Zach decided to make his bold, yet anonymous move. I got to be honest, this was kinda of an odd plot line, but the couple was so cue that it made up for it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The premise was delicious and mischievous. I love the idea of needs being filled by a semi love-slave while blindfolded and think that variations of this could bring spice to any relationship. This novel captures physical and emotional human needs in natural and believable ways. I enjoyed it enough to want to read it again!

He agrees easily since he has wanted her since he met her but doesn't think he is good enough for her. He figures he can enjoy his fantasy for one night.
