Disclaimer 2: A book with a title/description like this normally gets passed over by me because of my picky tastes, and a book with a title like it usually has themes that I don't like. I'm not into control games between main characters, where men "own" the woman as if she's property. And with a title/description like this one, it's a big flag of warning to me that's what it will be like. But someone recommended it to me, knowing full well what my tastes were, so I thought it'd be safe to check out and the title/description were just deceiving for drama purposes.
Disclaimer 3: when I picked up this book, Amazon showed it was a romance, which was another reason why I believed the person who recommended the book. The content and how the "romance" progresses through a sexual relationship instead interpersonal one, this should have been labeled an erotica. That does make a difference for someone like me.
Before I get into that anymore than I have, I want to start off by saying how great the writing is. When the story flows, it really flows and Renee knows how to paint a fantastic image in your mind. She also knows how to be creative with her words. Swearing is handled in a creative way (swearing doesn't bother me, but I thought the approach was interesting), and she uses space terminology well, making you feel more immersed. She does something that I find amazing in this genre, and is the fact she doesn't shy away from the topic of c-sections. It bothers me when books not only shy away from the idea, but don't even consider it as if it's not viable option, even if the tech is there. The characters were also, for the most part, good. These points are what kept it up at a 3 instead of going lower.
The book starts off good, and I can see why it was recommended to me. As expected our main lady is a sex slave on the block after escaping her previous master and getting caught. Apparently, as we learn through the story, earth is gone, and all humans are slaves, unless they've gotten to some neutral territory or planet that welcomes them as free people. Our two men are introduced next and this is where it gets a little weird for me, but I tried to be open minded about it to start.
Enchanted by her beauty, the men buy her, though you find out very quick, that their species does allow for slaves. Women are free there, though have expectations on them like men. I thought that was going to turn out great. It wasn't going to be a slave/master dominance game that I can't stand. Nope. The two of them LIE to her so that they can get their jollies off before telling her the truth. Strike against them. Though, unlike other books that I've had to put down because of too alpha/dominant male characters, these two actually cared about her well being during their sexual escapades and wanted her to be satisfied as much as they were. This prevented another strike from going over them.
Story continues, and Danika is a little bit more talkative than I'd expect from a woman who has been a sex slave for at least half her life, but that's a bit whatever. I can handle that. What I couldn't handle was when she tries to escape and is recaptured, they basically beat her. I'm okay with sex scene having some ass slapping, I don't like it to go on too long, but I won't gripe. This went beyond that. She's getting slammed by a hard object several times. To make matters worse, she's remembering her time with her past master who was absolutely horrific to her, and yet she's enjoying this beating. This whole scene pretty much takes up an entire chapter. It was absolutely necessary for that scene to exist in that way. And at the end, that's when they suddenly decide to tell her she's not actually a slave. And instead of being mad they tricked/lied to her for the sake of using her body, she's just happy. Uh, what?
I wanted to put the book down by this point. Had it not been recommended to me, I would have and would have returned the book. But, I decided to push on and keep trying.
The book gets a bit better after that. The sex, which was happening every other scene slows way down and you get an actual story. When this happened I loved reading it. The three grow together, through sex mostly though. If it were labeled right, and was a romance, the sex wouldn't have been what made their relationship grow. Danika is still keeping a huge secret from her mate, even after she agrees to be a permanent mate to them and bare their children, when she knows that this race can't stand lies, but she has a good reason. She's afraid they'll find out she's already carrying a baby from her previous master. She's scared they'll harm the child or sell the two of them back into slavery, or worse, send her back to her old master where the two of them will surely die. It's a respectable reason to lie, but her mates don't think so.
Here comes the next strike against them. The obviously find out. It's not like she could have kept it from them since her master is a different race than human and not a Zandian. And what do they do? Act like children. They get so upset she lied because she was scared they abandon her or worse, harm her baby. They say such awful things to her and leave her, all because she wanted to protect her child. No chance to listen to reason. Not only did I have a hate for their reaction, they lied to her. Right in the beginning they lied to her about her slave status. Sure, they came clean, but that doesn't make them better than her. They don't get to be mad when someone lies to them and expect that person to be okay when they're lied to. To make this whole fighting bit worse, when they finally come to their sense, she just ups and forgives them. Like it was never a big deal.
Then we have yet another scene with discipline spankings, this time with a belt. Again, unneeded and an unsatisfactory way of ending the book.
There were other minor things that irritated me. Based on the book summary, I thought the previous master would show up or make demands. Nope. And that was disappointing. It would have been a nice element. The other gripe was the child taking in the Zandian DNA while in the womb and converted hers with it. While the idea was fascinating, it was 100% unbelievable. I get there's supernatural elements to this, since, aliens, but there still needs to be an element of believably. If you know anything about pregnancy, especially when it comes to human pregnancy, you would know it's impossible for sperm to go into the uterus when a woman is pregnant. There's a physical block that keeps the embryonic fluid and baby in the body, which also keeps sperm out.
So there ends my griping. While I would have loved this more if it were romance focused instead of sex focused(aka erotica), it was a decent book.

This was another great read in the Zandian series! Technically this book can be read as a stand-alone but in my opinion, you just can't stop reading the books in this series. When Danica finds herself purchased by two Zandians at a slave auction, she doesn't know whether to be relieved or scared. Will they realize she has a bounty on her head and return her to her former master which will lead to death or will they be just as bad as her former master once they discover her secret? Once again Renee Rose has managed to create a story that grabs you from the first page and simply doesn't let go until you know the characters all have their own HEA. I certainly hope there are more books in this series to come!

I don’t like that the narrator is a man. Especially when Danika is talking about getting penetrated. Honestly at first when I started the book that was the biggest issue for me. I thought this was a MMM novel but this is MFM with no anal play amongst the two men which is a little disappointing. Other than those things Renee Rose has a way of writing that you can’t help but get hooked on immediately. She plays with power and dominance like a Queen. During this novel Danika was a lying biatch. It made me crazy at times but I loved Ben and Gord so much that I ignored her lol.
I enjoy this series and I can’t wait for book 3.

I'm tickled purple by this author duo. This series - and the other spin offs that they created from it, is incredible. It's taken me out of my science fiction reading funk and make me really love science fiction once again because there was a time when it was just 'meh'. Not enough to make me look forward for more, and not enough to make me want to abandon it.
This book, Bought By The Zandians, was probably my favorite of this series so far. You can still find the main aspect of this series, which is human female breeders, but at the same time, you had more - here you had Danica become stronger, faster and even develop powers that will give her the chance to become more than just a breeder. Her senses helped save lives and her powers helped her learn things so much faster than any other Zandian.
As for her Zandian mates - they were quite interesting. No matter what they originally wanted, which was a Zandian female, once they realized their connection with Danica, they took no risk and made her theirs. I'll admit i was saddened by their reactions to events happening later (which i won't spoil, because it's a huge part of the book), but somehow they manage to redeem themselves and make things better.
There are many reasons why this book was my favorite from these authors, and i can only hope that we'll get a chance to read more from the young ones soon because they are truly fascinating. I can't wait to read more from this series and get to know another couple and find out where these authors will be going from this point on!

Bought by the Zandians presents a protagonist facing commendable challenges, making tough decisions throughout. However, the letdown lies in the underdeveloped characters of Benn and Gorde. Their lack of depth and continuous unlikable behavior doesn't offer redemption or growth, leaving the reader dissatisfied. While the main character's struggle is appreciated, the narrative falls short due to the inadequately fleshed-out personalities of key figures, hindering overall engagement and enjoyment.

I JUST WANT TO BE SAFE
Whether you have read any of the books in this series or not, you will be able to follow the tale, which will read as a stand-alone. The story is the next chapter in the Zandians now that they have taken back their planet. Various warriors, like Gorde and Benn, have been sent out of scouting missions to bring back Zandians from various locations. One a mission, in hopes of finding a Zandian female, they will spot a slave in a market, and she is human. This will be their story.
Danica is between a rock and a hard place. She has managed to escape from her Master, and she was trying to get to a safe planet when a slave trader captures her. Now she faces a new set of danger depending on who will purchase her as a sex slave, or will be it be bounty hunters to take her back to Akronian? Her life is in peril.
Zandian warriors, Benn and Gorde, have gone to Aurelia Minor 2 with the hopes of finding a Zandian female but instead, see a naked human strapped to a post on the auction block. Human females are compatible with Zandian males, and so they will bargain to purchase her and take her back home. But they keep some information from her, letting her believe she will be a slave to a master or masters. In fact, human females are free on Zandia.
The plot will have Benn, Gorde, and Danica brought together by accident. They will purchase her at a slave auction, and let her believe that they are her new masters. She has known nothing but sexual slavery her entire life and understood her duty to her masters. She must bide her time until she can escape them and get to a free planet.

During the trip back to Zandia, they will be sent on a rescue mission to a Hectan-3 to free a Zandian held in the prison. It is a dangerous mission, and having Danica adds another risk. Things that will help her and the Zandians.
Benn and Gorde decide they want to accept Danica as their mate. She hasn’t told them she is already pregnant and does everything in her power to protect herself and her baby. Will she find a way to escape Zandian and make it to a free planet? Learning more about the Zandian people, she knows there is no way they would willingly accept her child, a baby fathered by a violent race.
How far will a mother go to protect her baby? The Zandian people stand on their honor and abhor lies. When they learn that Danica has not been forthcoming, they will probably banish her. Engaging D/S story with betrayal, violence and love - Highly Recommend
This is the story of Danica, an escaped slave with a secret she is protecting. She was trying to hid the color of her hair and skin when she was captured by another trader and placed up for sale. It was there that Gorde and Benn, two Zandian warriors on the look out for other Zandians, found and purchased her. They hustled her to their ship before anyone could scan her barcode and figure out that there was a bounty on her head. They could tell that she had a rare hair and skin color that wouldn't have been at the kind of low-dollar market. She was just fortunate that the being that found her was more interested in a quick sale.

They could tell that she had a rare hair and skin color that wouldn't have been at the kind of low-dollar market. She was just fortunate that the being that found her was more interested in a quick sale.

This is the first book I've read in the series, so yes it can be read as a standalone without the feeling of missing anything. I absolutely love paranormal stories and this story was fantastic. It was everything that paranormal lovers enjoy in a story; it had everything I enjoy in paranormal reads. It truly did not disappoint and I will be reading the first book in the series because yes, I enjoyed this one just that much. It's hard not to love Danica, Benn and Gorde. Besides enjoying these characters, there was chemistry, steamy scenes and a bit of suspense within this story that kept me wanting more. This was an entertaining read and I was completely happy with the ending and I look forward to reading more books from this author in the future. Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!

Idk about this one. Once again, there’s a lot of spanking and that’s really not my thing it’s just cringey. Also, I think all of the characters in this book wrre kind of dumb. Her for hiding an obvious pregnancy (it was literally so obvious from the get it was not even a shocker) and then Gorde and Benn for acting that way when they found out.
Whole alien race that can “smell” arousal but can’t sense a pregnant woman? Okay.

I Love every single thing about these fierce sexy Zandians and in this story we are not disappointed when they claim they do it fiercely and are so loyal ,loving and lets not forget super bossy in the bedroom just the way we like them . We meet Danica who was so brave and had such a good heart I loved,Gorde and Ben as they learn a big lesson. It was emotional in places and intense in others and I couldn't stop reading. The writing is so good with a wonderful storyline

Oh, I love the Zandians. I've been cheering for these guys ever since the first book, and I was really worried that the series would end once they got their world back, but instead, Renee Rose brought Rebel West on board and matured the series and brought us into the menage/reverse harem arena.
Danica is a human slave who has escaped the cruel master who has impregnated her. She knows that he will kill her the second that she gives birth. The problem is that she got caught as soon as she landed on a new world and is now being sold again.
Benn and Gorde are two Zandian scouts who go out and find Zandians and bring them home to their now freed homeworld. Zandia is now a safe place for all Zandians and they need as many Zandians there as possible. They are also hoping that they will find a Zandian woman to mate with. There is a very, very, very slim chance that it could happen, but that doesn't mean that they won't still hold out hope for it to happen. As they are walking by, they see a human woman who has been tied to a post and is nearly being choked by a strap across her throat. They decide that they will buy her and rescue her. They know that many of their leaders have mated humans and that humans are living on Zandia and are cross-fertile with Zandians. If nothing else, they can have some fun with her and always sell her on. But after some time, they decide to bring her home to Zandia and tell her that humans are safe there.
Mostly I like Benn and Gorde. I think that they are ash-holes a couple of times and need a swift kick in the rear ends, but they do genuinely care for Danica. I understand why Danica does what she does. I cried while I was reading this book, and I'll probably always cry in the same place and for the same reason.
I love the big purple guys and can't wait to see what's coming next.

In “BOUGHT BY THE ZANDIANS” two Zandian men are on a mission find a Zandian woman to mate, but they are unable to find one. Instead, they PURCHASE and then share one human female as their mate. What could go wrong? LOL you will have to get this one and read to find out! The wonderful writing team of authors Renee Rose and Rebel West should take a bow, as this is now my favorite of all the Zandian novels. Don’t get me wrong, all the Renee Rose’s Zandian novels are wonderful romances, wildly entertaining, with humor, suspense and HOT, HOT scenes galore. “BOUGHT BY THE ZANDIANS” is my favorite so far, but should I also admit that I have felt that way about each of the novels? With smooth prose and wonderful character-driven plot, “BOUGHT BY THE ZANDIANS” really is my favorite because I loved the compassion shown by the characters. That compassion for each other that these fierce Zandian warriors show, is absolutely a reminder and perhaps even a challenge to readers – show compassion no matter the circumstances. Also, I found the strength of our heroine, Danica, to be captivating. Through the dialogue of various characters, her angst and actions, I felt her, understood her pain, and admired her willingness to sacrifice because she loved so completely and unconditionally. While I was given an ARC copy of “BOUGHT BY THE ZANDIANS” to prepare this honest voluntary review, I plan to purchase a copy, so I can place this book within my favorites collection, so I can read it again. Slave Danica gets Bought By The Zandians
Danica is a runaway sex slave who ran away from her Akronian owner but got caught by a slaver and is on the auction block when Zandian warriors spot her and realize she's a human. The Zandians, Benn and Gorde buy her and bring her to their ship to bring her home to Zandia but, and this is a big but, they let her think she is their slave. Zandians do not keep humans as slaves! Danica is very worried because she has a secret that cannot be revealed, she is pregnant by her former owner, a very evil, warring species that only keep male children to be trained to fight. If a female is born, both mother and baby are murdered. Danica hopes to make it to the planet Jesel where she is told humans are free. Benn and Gorde keep Danica as their sex slave, they keep the fact that their species doesn't keep slaves from her. When they finally confess to her that they cannot keep her, she pretty much
accepts their confession and loves their planet. The Zandians are given Danica as their mate by the King if she agrees to wanting them. There is still her secret that she fears to tell anyone because her baby is from a warring planet species and Zandians don't allow that in their world. There is much more to this story, there are lies, betrayals, secrets and lots of steaming hot sex with quite a few punishing spankings along the way, but the main message I took from it is, a mother's love is a strong and unbeatable thing, nothing is too risky if she can keep her child safe from harm. On another note, know that they do get their HEA, that is an important thing for me to really enjoy a book and I loved this one!!!

I have really enjoyed the Zandian series. This installment has some great new ideas, a woman that would risk everything for her unborn child, and some disappointing Zandian alpha-holes.
I loved Danica's fierce protection of the life within her, even though the baby's father is from a violent and ruthless species. Being pregnant gives Danica some pretty fantastic perks. The absolute best part pertains to the baby but I am not going to give away the twist. The baby gets five freakin' awesome stars all by herself.
Now for the two alpha-holes that buy/rescue Danica - Benn and Gorde are not my favorite Zandians and at times I didn't even like them. Talking about Danica as if she wasn't standing right in front of them, not telling her about the Zandian plan to rebuild their race with the help of human women and how they are not slaves on Zandia, and one of them (even after having sex with her) still wanted a Zandian female for a mate.
Even though I was not crazy about the two male leads, they do treat Danica very well (when they are not being gluteus maximus heads). The reappearance of Zander and the doctor and his mate give a nice support boost to the story. Have I said that I love that baby, yet? I really love that baby and I hope to see more of her in the future.

Little did they know that she was harboring a secret which may have a greater impact on them then they realize.
Zandians Benn and Gorde recognized this human for the value she has as a breeder for their decimated race. They purchase her, even though Benn still has reservations about keeping her, because he is still searching for the now-rare Zandian female to mate with.
All three believe it will be temporary, and that she will serve them until she can be given to her new masters. But little by little, the males grow to care for her until the secret becomes bigger than them all and suddenly trust and dreams are cast out to space. I LOVE reading about the Zandians! They have taken back their planet and this is book 2 in the next series: Alien Warrior Reverse Harem Romance (Zandian Brides book 2). Another stand alone story but believe me, you will enjoy reading all the stories because Renee Rose is a wonderful author and her characters come to life, they are warm, loving and one can easily connect with them and the story is well developed.

Danica was being sold at an auction, filthy and scared she didn’t know what would happen to her. Benn and Gorde were doing the King’s bidding and looking for other Zandian’s to bring back to the home world. They get side tracked when they spot Danica and it doesn’t take long for them to purchase her and take her as were own slave.
At first I was a bit upset. They know that they are to ask any human if they are willing but they didn’t think about that with her. Plus they planned to sell her back to either her master or of a profit. Once they get their hands on her, literally, they can’t seem to let her go. But then later on they realize that she is the one that they want to have as a mate. When they discover Danica’s secret, they treat her so coldly. I cried. I couldn’t believe how they were. Plus even though she told them she loved them, they still were cold. I hurt for Danica and baby. Oh man was this a roller coaster ride. I love these books.

They take Danica into their hearts and home, unaware of her pregnancy. Soon however, her secret is revealed and her worst fears are realized until a another mated pair open their eyes to the true meaning of love.
Danica is a sympathetic character, in an unfortunate position. Gorde and Benn, both likable characters, are great companions, almost like brothers, who are not entirely innocent of a little deceit themselves. There are some good action scenes and of course several steamy sex scenes which also include punishments which are a requisite for this series. This book is another great read in the Zandian universe by Renee Rose and I really enjoyed it. 4.5 stars.

So far this is my favorite story so far from this author. I loved the uniqueness of the fetus and the three character (four if you count the baby because seriously i fell in love with her) are incredible.

Hot, entertaining story
This story was pretty entertaining and starts off with a bang. Gorde and Benn are out looking for Zandians and really hoping to find a female to mate with but they end up buying human female Danica at the slave auction to bring back to Zandia. Gorde is the one that is really initially drawn to her while Benn is more set on waiting for a Zandian female to mate but he has no problem having some fun with Danica on the trip back to Zandia. Danica isn't exactly sure what to think but she is highly attracted to them which isn't something she is used to feeling. When things get brought up about Zandia and them needing brides in order to repopulate the planet, she is a little worried as she is already pregnant and on the run so that her old master won't kill her and rip the baby from her womb. She is trying to find a safe place to escape to. Things between Gorde and Benn of course heat up and the more time they spend together, the more emotions start to develop and it has Gorde and Benn questioning their need for a Zandian female and if they want to mate with Danica instead. They definitely has some issues to work out as Danica has her secret, a baby that she wants to protect, and misunderstandings that they have to figure out and overcome in order to find a happy ending. The story flowed smoothly and was entertaining. I enjoyed it.

Gorde is the one that is really initially drawn to her while Benn is more set on waiting for a Zandian female to mate but he has no problem having some fun with Danica on the trip back to Zandia. Danica isn't exactly sure what to think but she is highly attracted to them which isn't something she is used to feeling. When things get brought up about Zandia and them needing brides in order to repopulate the planet, she is a little worried as she is already pregnant and on the run so that her old master won't kill her and rip the baby from her womb. She is trying to find a safe place to escape to. Things between Gorde and Benn of course heat up and the more time they spend together, the more emotions start to develop and it has Gorde and Benn questioning their need for a Zandian female and if they want to mate with Danica instead. They definitely has some issues to work out as Danica has her secret, a baby that she wants to protect, and misunderstandings that they have to figure out and overcome in order to find a happy ending. The story flowed smoothly and was entertaining. I enjoyed it.

If you like your book boyfriends (plural!) on the purple side, then one-click quickly on the latest story from the writing duo of Renee Rose and Rebel West, because this is one story that will make your toes curl and might even bring a tear to your eyes. One of the things that I’m enjoying about this new series are the varying Zandian personalities from the men and the sassy human females that seem to vex them at every turn. Okay, there’s a bunch of other things as well, including the chemistry between the characters, the sizzling scenes together, and the yummy happily ever afters. And I’ll add that I really enjoyed Danika, as a character and all she had to go through to get her HEA. Renee Rose and Rebel West’s “Bought by the Zandians” is book 2 in the Zandian Brides series (it’s a standalone!) and it was grand fun to read.

Two Zandians Benn and Borde bought Danica from a slave merchant. Danica tried to escape from them, but they come back to Zandia with them. She has a secret that she was already pregnant with her previous master who is very violent and would have killed her and a child if the child was a girl. Over time the Zandians fall in love with her and she loves them, too. But she could not tell her secret, until her pregnancy showed some irregularities.
When the two aliens found about her being pregnant with someone else, they felt betrayed and she left them. She had a baby while the two alien fighters were on a mission, and she wants to go to a planet where humans are free. The aliens realized that they did care for her, and accepts the baby who turned out part Zandian.

I love the Zandians!!! They are a compassionate race of aliens, just wanting to continue their race now that they have reclaimed their home planet. The warriors are fierce and uncompromising. The human women are usually scared and have something tragic happen to them that they are trying to escape from. This is no different with Bought by the Zandians. Benn and Gorde want an elusive Zandian female what they find is a dirty human slave with secrets that Gorde is really drawn to. Danica is an escaped slave just trying to get to a planet where humans are free when she is bought by Benn and Gorde. Will the secrets she has been keeping from her two Zandian warriors end their budding relationship before it really has a chance to begin?

A romantic fantasy tale with much sensual heat. Much action and adventure throughout this story. The characters are well developed within the context of the tale. The main female character is living a lie to protect her young and has to make some hard decisions along the way. Her strength of character shines through. She appears to have some magical ability along with her young. The two main male characters are strong, fierce, passionate and protective of their mate. Through all their trials and tribulations there is growth in maturity by all three of the main characters.
A good read for science fiction fans who has enjoy a good romance.
