Lots of practical ideas grouped from 5-minute to day-long activities for the six major types of self-care (read the book to find out what those are), all contained in a pretty volume with great production values. By end of book, I felt like some of these grew redundant and obvious, but I still learned some things I intend to implement.
While the ideas on ways you can do self care were good, what would have been more appreciated is strategies on how you can actually engage in these self care activities on a day to day or week to week basis.
This book provided many ways for moms to obtain self care even in as little as 5 minutes. It gave suggestions on how to involve the family as well. Some of the suggestions were redundant because she built on them but overall a good read.
Sometimes I find these books and think "oh this will be great! I really want to read this!" And then I start reading it and can't help but this this would have been a very short buzz feed article instead of a whole book! It was free on the Kindle so not super upset but seriously most of the stuff is repetitive and I don't need an explanation for every idea
Tujuan bukunya bagus, idenya lumayan, terutama yg 5-10menitan... Tapi lama2 banyak pengulangan cuma beda durasi aja. Berharap dpt ide2 yg lbh brilliant lagi sih..
Why do I keep gravitating towards these types of books? LOL.
I think anyone can walk away with ay least one aha from this book, but it's mostly just a list of things you can do in your free time, as if you don't already have a list of stuff you want to accomplish anyway.
It's nice that it focuses on you specifically, since our to-do lists tend to focus on everyone but ourselves, but I can't help but think most moms already know how to take care of themselves, just not when.
This book did inspire me to start painting my nails again. So, there's that!
