Sierra learns to balance all of her responsibilities in this sixth delicious book in the Sprinkle Sundays series from the author of the Cupcake Diaries series!
Sierra thinks she has everything under control—she loves staying busy. But between working in the ice cream shop, after-school sports, and now being asked to be the lead singer in a band—has Sierra taken on more than she can handle? What’s a girl who wants to have it all to do?
Coco Simon always dreamed of opening a cupcake bakery, but she’s afraid she would eat all the profits. When she’s not daydreaming about cupcakes, Coco edits children’s books and has written close to 100 books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes she’s eaten. Cupcake Diaries is the first time Coco has mixed her love of cupcakes with writing.
The next book in this sweet series is told again from Sierra's point of view. As she struggles to juggle all her activities after school and on the weekend she finds being late to work too many times really ticks off her friends especially when she joins a band too which takes more time out of her packed schedule already.
She talks about it to Isa her twin sister whom she has a strained relationship with too which shows how desperately she wants to make everything work out.
Not wanting to quit anything, it soon gets too much as a major fall out with Tamiko leads to strained tension among the girls after a bonus he's given out to someone who's not been truthful...
Highlighting the way your life can become too hectic to control with too many activities to do and not enough time! Once again this book has important life lessons for kids to learn early on while being a read that captures us with ice cream talk!
I like the compromise she spoke with her parents about and that she decided to apologize to her friends instead of just waiting for things to blow over like her sister recommended. I am curious what’s really going on in Isa’s life. I wonder if she is having friend trouble or just wants a group of best friends like her sister has?
It’s better to take ownership of something if it’s your fault and apologize for it. Just pretending it didn’t happen is messed up. I’m glad she learned to schedule and work on things. I get being involved in a lot, I was as a kid but we were only allowed to do one school sport per season since we had practice every day. I guess middle school is different since they don’t practice every day.
SO GOOD, love Coco Simon, I get Ally and Sierra AND pretty much ALL the characters because they're so relatable. Please read this series, please read all of the Coco Simon books, period. Sierra's issues are very relatable because I always overdo it and it's too much. Great ending, great book.
