This is an incredibly dry subject for me but I did get through it over a period of about two weeks. It’s not that the book was boring or poorly written, it wasn’t, it’s just that when I read, I like to read for fun and this was more like homework. My initial interest in this book is because I’m self-employed and I think there’s always room for improvement when it comes to communicating and interacting with clients.
There’s helpful information in SMILE and I have had a few instances where I’ve been able to apply it to my day-to-day interactions. All in all, this book provides some great tools to use for business owner or employee.

Once you get past the very strange, anime-like premise of having a two-foot talking parrot for a guide, the presentation is very cute. Much of the ideals and steps Rigby writes about are pretty obvious, but perhaps so obvious that they bear being explicitly pointed out.
