My son means the world to me. He’s all I have. His mom left us when he was born. I raised him. He’s mine. The club is my home. It’s his too. After losing too many babysitters, Brooke’s friend, Ashley stepped in to watch Jameson. She was a good girl, one I knew I couldn’t have. Until I had her. Now I want to keep her. Sometimes what we want the most isn’t what’s in front of our eyes. Things change. Accidents happen and our lives are torn in half.

I had money but I loved to work. When I quit my job and went to the clubhouse, I didn’t expect my next job to be a tiny shaggy-haired boy. Jameson quickly grew on me. So, did his dad, Tic. We became close even though we knew it wouldn’t work between us. When his ex, Jameson’s mom shows up, all hell breaks loose. No one knows where they stand anymore.

I am a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. I love being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end. My books do not stick to just one genre, they span many.

I write about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. My MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

I am absolutely speechless by what happened in this book from about 74% and on. I totally didn't see any of the events that came to be coming....at all!! I am saddened, shocked, and don't even know what to say. There is so much that I want to vent about this book; but I can't! I don't want to spoil anything. Tic's book is the third installment in the "Soulless Bastards MC No Cal Chapter." So far, this has been the best one in the whole series...although this one could potentially have readers extremely upset by some of the circumstances that happen through out this installment.

It seems to me that Erin Trejo's writing style is becoming way more polished as I continue on with this series. I am very hopeful that the next book is going to be even better. I have learned though, in the case of this author, I need to expect the unexpected!! LOL Considering both the second and third books had events in it that I usually despise in a story...going forward I am going to prepare myself and think outside the box!!!

I am moving on to the next read, and I have my fingers crossed that it will be smoother sailing from here on out...YA RIGHT!!!!

Warning! Spoiler!!!

Ugh! I remember now why I quit reading this author's books. Her writing is really good and there is lots of action plus romance with suspense. But, she just has to kill off at least one or more of the main characters just when they are making everything workout! I hate that! Over 3/4 of the book was about Ashley and Tic, then the last quarter was how great things worked out for Tic and someone else. Just totally ruined the book for me. This was the reason for the 3 star. Had the original characters had their happy ending, I would have given it 5 stars.

This story is a complete mess.
The hero is a womanizer who loses all nannies because he fucks them all and they do not take care of his son right.
Our supposed heroine falls in love with the hero's son and takes care of him as if he were her son. Only afterwards does she become romantically involved with the hero.
From the beginning I found Kenderly's behavior strange. She was always there in the background. Even the supposed heroine noticed that she loved the hero.
The hero's ex returns to pick up the family she left behind. Everything had turned into a big mess.
Our supposed heroine is raped and later murdered. She is murdered and I was very angry. WTF, kill our heroine?
I lost the desire to continue reading and thanked Kindle Unlimited because I did not spend my hard-earned money in this mess called book.
But, I bravely continued to see how it would end.
Kenderly reappears from the shadows and she is the new love of the hero and the new mother of his son.
Bitter End.
Fuck this shit.

After I was raped and beaten, I was tossed to the side of the road. I’ve been walking for what seems like forever. I wasn’t sure where I was at first, but once my memory started to return, I was actually only an hour from home.

chapter 28
While I do harbor feelings for her, I never acted on them. Kenderly will always hold a special place in my heart but Ashley took the rest of it.

Kenderly and I have gotten a lot closer. She’s been the shoulder I’ve needed to cry on. She’s been the rock that keeps me grounded, but I’ve also been the same for her.

“He compares me to her. I can’t be what he needs or what he wants,” I say. Brad doesn’t say a word. He just tightens his hold on me.

“I have you and J. That’s all I need. That’s all I want. You make me feel complete, Kenderly.”

Tic was the third book in the Soulless Bastards MC by Erin Trejo.

Tic was a son to the MC President. He was the quieter and calmer son. He was also a single father to an adorable five year old, Jameson.

Ashley. We met Ashley in book one as Brooke’s best friend. She was beautiful, sassy and independent. She lost her parents when she was young and she’s been on her own for awhile. She quit her job unexpectedly and was around when Tic needed a sitter for Jameson; thus the plot started.

At this point, I can’t go further with the review without spoilers. And I really disliked the direction of the storyline. For the ending that came to be, it needed more development and I’ll leave it at that.

Wrong ending.

Sorry if you liked this book, but it really annoyed me.The blurb said nothing about the change in main characters. Wouldn't have read this or paid for it if I knew what was going to happen. Readers connect with the characters you don't suddenly switch then out right at the end.

Tic is my first book by this author and judging from the comments on other GR reviews it will also be my last. There is a huge twist somewhere close to the 70% mark and I was not ok with it. As I said to a friend, there is no cheating in the book, but to me it felt like it. And I don't know who was more cheated, me or Ash. On the bright side, the book was too short and I didn't end up as invested as I could have been to the characters or the romance between them.

Tic and Ashley were both raped and I feel like you should know that. Any details weren't included and I was grateful for that. Jamenson was the only bright part of the story and we didn't see him as much. Overall, the book wasn't for me and I wouldn't recommend it.

First let me say, I rarely rate a book at three stars. I know genres and read for my pleasure knowing certain things can be counted on in said genre. I will say I had strong emotional commitments to Ashley, little boy Jameson, and Tic the MC and J's father. I loved their relationship and the family they had formed.

The writing was compelling. The characters engaging. The steam--hot.

There is a turn well into the story that was not acceptable for me. I was not committed to the added characters and response of some of the ones from earlier in the book. I cannot be more specific without giving spoilers and I try very hard not to commit that offense.

Ugh!

I loved the first 70%. Then it all went to hell! If the big twist would have came sooner it would have been better. As it was the next few chapters felt rushed and I mostly skimmed them.. I hated what happened to Ashley and that she wasn't even mourned properly. I felt no connection to Kenderley.
I just keep thinking about this book!! You know I could have dealt with Ashley dying and Tic moving on if there had been some closure, but there was nothing. She dies and the next chapter it’s a year later. Same with Blu.
We didn’t even really know Kenderley and we’re supposed to believe she is the real love of Tic’s life and meeting Ashley was just a stepping stone. I just didn’t fricken buy it. I feel so let down by this book. It could have been done so much better. Why get us emotionally attached to Ashley and Tic and Jamison for 70% of the book and then abruptly change direction? With no closer or even grief. Their rapes where never dealt with either.

Horrid twist

I really liked this author's first two books. This one started well but the twist 70% through the story ruined it for me. I like to get invested in the characters and it is very difficult to accept the demise of not one but two characters. I skimmed to the end and honestly the last chapter was just stupid. It was like the author had to justify to herself the path the plot took. She should have thrown the curveball much earlier like at 30% then built the actual hea in the remaining 70%. Even though I skimmed I could tell the last chapters were rushed and not well fleshed out. I had no emotional investment. Doubt I'd read the next one. Glad I got this through kindle unlimitedand not paid for it. 😠😠😠

Ok, look.

I've read the first two books of the series and they were good. Don't get me wrong this was a good story, but I have to agree with a comment that I read on this book. The twist kills the mood and the tone of the book. Killing off Ashley should have happened earlier in the book for me to feel anything for the other girl. The story felt like the author changed her mind near the end of the book of what she wanted for Tic. I enjoyed most of the book, there are hardships. However, the HEA entitles an established couple, which the author killed off. As I said, I agree with a comment that gave the book 2 stars but I am giving it 3 because Tic and Ashley's story was beautiful but with the last 30% of the book brought it down by 2 stars.

Wow! This book was one that gave me one h*ll of a surprise. Right when you have this flow going and you think you knew what was coming this author gave me one of those surprises that had me thinking that “no way that could happen” I had to re-read that portion again just to make sure what I read was actually what it was.

I don’t want to give spoilers but I can tell you that Tic is that bad*ss sexy biker with a son that will melt your heart. So grab some tissues, sit back and be ready for a story that will take you on one crazy rollercoaster ride.

This story was freaking amazing!! It absolutely tore through my emotions like a tornado! I laughed, I fell in love with a little boy, Then I cried, I prayed the story wouldn’t go the direction it went and then just when I was sure I could not read another line without losing it, Erin turned my emotions upside down again!! The story of Tic and his son, Jamison, is an amazing ride! Loved it!!❤️❤️

Yeah...so a weird one for me.

I read the first 2 books in this series like the day before reading this one....and no where in those books can I ever remember Tic having a son 🤷🏼‍♀️....it’s like he appeared from out of no where just for tic to have some kinda storyline?!

The first heroine (yes I said first!) is the best friend of the heroine from book one of the series....Ashley - who starts looking after Tics son Jameson.
She falls in love with Tic...he with her....he’s all like I want all in and you to be the kids mother....because yuno it’s been a month or so and she loves him like he’s her own 🙄

Then she dies protecting Jameson.....at the same time as the current Prez of the club Blu dies.

The second heroine is a young women Kenderly who everyone actually thought had something going on with Blu (Tic’s Dad)

Just before everything happens with them dying there’s a part in the book where he thinks to himself ‘oh there’s always been something about Kenderly’....basically in a way saying he’s kind of always had feelings for her....but alas he’s in love with the current heroine...and yuno has to wait for her untimely death to actually get with Kenderly 🙄

I just didn’t see the point - why not get Tic and Kenderly together from the start, or just leave Tic with Ashley. She was a lovely girl - it was just all unnecessary. Because I was liking Tic and Ashley’s love story. And after she died I liked Kenderly and Tics love story.....but it should of been one of the other, because it ended up just being annoying!

Throw the whole book away along with the hero and heroine. Oh wait…the author does throw the heroine away who is in the blurb - author kills off the heroine and some other second best tosser is introduced where hero admits it’s been her all along. Ummm what kind of romance is this? It’s not.

This is not even a plot twist - it’s misleading to have some lameo in the blurb and then some random who ends up with hero. FYI the random is mentioned IN the book…but if I’m expecting to read about TIC and Ashley as per the synopsis, then I’m expecting to to read about TIC and Ashley even if she dies at the end.

And the hero was a complete disgusting loser. Why do authors make up such loser men with no redeeming anything and then make up pathetic heroines who settle for these lameo. Nothing to aspire to…gutter standards

Read at your own risk of wasting your time , wasting your $.

I actually wondered WTF he has a son and no one mentioned it in any other book?? THEN you get involved with the heroine Ashley and it all blows up. The mom coming back had potential but having Ash raped, beaten and miraculously recover only to die pages later sucked. Tic spent 4 years grieving a druggie ex who abandoned him and a newborn and about 3 minutes mourning the "love of his life" before getting a HEA with a background character. Obviously a writer for soap operas!! It seemed as if they got tired and realized they didnt want to finish the stories we had been teased with. Blu and Kenderly should have had their own story. I will not waste my time on any more of these books as it left me feeling pissed off and ready to throw my kindle!

"She deserves better than what I am, but something inside of me wants this."

This book left me with my jaw dropped and staring at the wall completely blindsided. Now, if I had sat and thought about the 2 prior books in the series before, it might have occurred to me, but it didn't, so it was a complete shock!! The insta-attraction between Tic and Ash was hot, they fought it, until they couldn't...united against a common enemy that drew them closer still. Just when you think you know, you don't, so don't even try with this one. Dark, gritty, raw, real, and not for the faint of heart, so don't jump in the pool if you can't swim.

"Tic has made a place in my heart that no one else would ever be able to fill. I want him to stay there, burrow in as deeply as he can and never come out."

I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and the last chapter filled me with butterflies, I absolutely loved how that was done, although giving the Author the stink eye for doing it, lol. You'll understand because if you love MC Romance, you need to read it. I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.

"I didn't know he had it in him to be so gentle. The man I've always known to be rough and unyielding is kissing me so softly I could melt into him."

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐½ Review~~~~~~~~~~
I loved Ashley, Tic and Jameson so much. Ashley is just floating in life and she finally finds the love and family she desired when she happens upon this beautiful little boy named Jameson in the Soulless Bastards MC, after quitting her job she falls into the role of his babysitter. Tic knows she is something different when she offers to care for his son and together they begin to build a life by taking a chance on each other. Then Dana, Tic's ex, comes back in the picture and wants her family back and she won't stop no matter who she hurts to get it. This is where everything in this story changed for me. I am not going to give anything away as in spoilers but I didn't like where this book went. The story just lost me and I had no connection or feelings with how it ended. I felt let down as a reader. This won't deter me from reading more of this series and I know it is up to the author to tell her story but for me it fell flat. The first 32 chapters I give 5+++ Stars, but the rest just fell flat for me. For others you may love this story and I hope you do, but this is my opinion on what I read.
~~~~~~~~~~Julie's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~

This book was awesome. Tic is an exceptional character that has been thru the ringer. His son is his life and when Ash comes into both their lives, Tics world is turned upside down. Ash is good for him. You’ll never see this ending coming but I promise you will not be disappointed. Fabulous writing with a storyline that will leave you breathless.

Holy crap Erin just took that where I didn't think it was going to go. Talk about the element of the surprise. It took a bit for me to even come to terms with how this book took a detour. I was on the fence but I really did enjoy this book and all things happen for a reason in life so there is that. Anyways sorry this is so vague but I hate spoilers and this would be an easy one to give away so I will say that I really do recommend this book and think you will enjoy it!!

WOW

This book took me for a loop. How was so upset that Ashley died. I started to wonder what was going to happen to J and Tic. Not once in the book I realize that Kenderly was in love with Tic. I always thought it was Blu. It was interesting the way it ended. Love it
