Is India a 5000-year-old nation? How is MK Gandhi a “Mahatma”? Did Sardar Patel deserve the title “Father of the Nation” more than MK Gandhi? Why was Nehru called Chacha Nehru? How did the Kashmir problem start? How did Parsi-born Feroze Ghandy become a Gandhi? Did Indira Gandhi win the 1971 war with Pakistan? Why did India give up 13,000 km2 of territory to Pakistan, when China and Pakistan had seized our territories in 1947-48, 1962 and 1965? Wasn’t returning 90,000 PoWs enough? Why did Indira Gandhi declare an emergency in 1975? What were the 16 mysterious deaths in India apart from Lal Bahadur Shastri? What were the extramarital love affairs of Nehru and Indira? Did Congress win 10 Lok Sabha elections with a majority of votes? Are ‘Coalgate’ and 2G India’s biggest scams? Is Hinduism a religion? Does Hinduism prevent eating eggs, fish, seafood, or meat? What is the Hindu Rashtra? Is our Rajya Sabha modelled on the British House of Lords? Why did we choose a parliamentary instead of presidential system of government?
His parents thought he was studying business administration in the USA. He was actually studying journalism.
His parents thought he was doing case studies on IBM and Pepsi. He was actually interviewing the Governor of Ohio or a convicted murderer in jail.
When he was a consultant for the Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital in Pune, he told Rajshree Birla and Kumar Mangalam Birla their offices would be in the Basement of the Hospital.
As an entrepreneur, Amit has been India’s No.1 Healthcare Consultant, India’s No.1 Retail Consultant, and India’s No.1 Residential Real Estate Consultant, apart from excelling in several other sectors.
As a Retail Consultant, he wrote prolifically for various retail publications. For one article, he interviewed several industry leaders, including Kishore Biyani, considered the father of modern retail in India. Little did poor Mr. Biyani know that Amit would lambast him in the article. The next time they ran into each other, Mr. Biyani told Amit that - being a fellow Marwari - he should have been less critical of him.
It was the same article that led a leading publisher to approach Amit to write a book - back in 2010, but that part of Amit’s life only began 7 years later. When he did begin, he did not stop or even pause. He has completed 11 books in 26 months and is now working on his 12th.
Without any second opinion, I must say the book is pretty interesting and informative. The book is about busting some age-old myths that have captured our progressive thoughts and stopped us think outside of this. I came to know many more things about Gandhi, Nehru, mysterious murders in India and the idea of India. Overall, this is a nice book that everyone should read and understand why myths have become the truth and what we know and what we don't.
All of us, the 90s guys, have grown up watching Shaktimaan and talking about the certain truths that people did not talk in public because of a fear of being spotted out as odd or crazy or Sanghi. Now that Mr Amit Bagaria has come out with a title as bold as this and content even bolder, it's the time India should know the truths that matter! I will recommend this book to all those readers who want to know ins and outs of the so-supposed 'first family of India' and also an 'imposed father and an uncle of India' and of many other interests. Are you ready to get introduced to the truths that might be unconventional and possibly shocking as well?
This is a wonderful title by Amit Bagaria, known for his political incorrectness and the habit of calling spade a spade. I enjoyed reading this book and was surprised with the facts that I did not know even after reading so much of history... was I reading everything wrong? Maybe! Amit settles many records straight in his book and I should say that this is a book that youths must read before being dissuaded by the distorians and sleepwalkers. It unmasks many great personalities, supposedly. You may, however, state that the author is biased towards a certain section... but, that does not belittle the importance of this book in any way.
History writing with the new pen and new thinking. Wrote only against a particular party. In the era of free journalism why not you guys write something upon destruction od RTI act by Current government? Only against opposition is not true journalism.
We have heard about lot of things about our leaders and their past. We wouldn't be in a position to recollect all of them including the facts and reality. Through this book, the author has busted those myths which we were long made to believe it as TRUE.
A genuine attempt which clearly points out the shortcomings across various system in our country including that of the presence of RajyaSabha, President and lot others. He has touched upon various sensitive issues but has compiled the chapters in such a way that it would make the readers think twice before coming to a conclusion.
There are 18 chapters in total and each discusses about a unique issue which is prevalent in India before and after the Independence. This includes the mysterious deaths of various leaders during the Congress Era, ceding a much bigger landmass to Pakistan for a minuscule population, saying NO to the UNSC Permanent Seat and referring the same to China and lot more.
Though this is very much of a political book, the stories that were covered in the book would make it an interesting read. If you wanted to know about lot of aspects which has always remained a myth to you till date, do give it a read. You will not regret.
Demystifying Myths is such a unique book ! It touches upon a myriad of controversial topics and effectively bursts the bubble of shiny images carried by different aspects of our socio-political arenas of our country.
Why to remain blind when we are able to know the truth ? These have to be read with an open mind so you can know more facts and then judge by yourself.
Backed by research and data inked into 200 pages , the author : Mr.Amit Bagaria has presented to us a basket of sensitive issues to think about and question the relevancy and existence of what we are taught to believe and what the reality is through 18 chapters .
In an intelligible manner , topics ranging from questioning the real existence of hindu rastra , relevancy of hindu law , the aftermath of partition , dividing of states according to linguistic basis , Kashmir issues , Indian democracy , big scams , role of political parties , the false image of different religious groups to controversial illicit romantic affairs of eminent politicians are described in this book . Author 's voice is very honest and bold .
The record of the interview of the daughter of Lord Mountbatten about the alleged affair between Nehru with her mother was very intriguing to read.
Similarly, few questionable actions of Nehru family and Gandhi were presented with some facts about his experiments with truth , etc in subsequent chapters. In my opinion , these people worked hard for our country's freedom. It shall not be our business to discuss their romantic affairs. But the thing is , our society is hypocrite.
They worship and idealize humans like god and teach young generation to follow falsehood . Now you read this book , think and decide by yourself how to form the real images .
It maybe not a stretch to say this book blew my mind and in the best possible way. It is well written, wry and incisive a subject I mostly avoid and loathe, something I could grasp. Author Amit Bagaria has done a great job here. He wrote about various sensitive issues like UN seats, Hindu law , chacha nehru, etc. Is this book written to make a point? You bet! Call it propaganda. I don't care. The book contain 18 chapters. The author back his allegations with facts that too with strong and conclusive evidence. It is painful to read and understand that everything we know about our prominent leader through history book over all year post independence is fabricated. A must read book. Highly recommend !
We usually believe and learn what is written in our academic books and mostly we will not question or go in-depth to the concept like asking questions, How Gandhi was called Mahatma and Nehru as Chacha? The book starts with the history of the past 5000 years of India and it moves to the Maurya dynasty it will really be interesting if you like social studies. This book helps us to understand past events that are a difficult subject in an easy way so the title is apt to the plot. This is a perfect pick for the people who are interested in learning about the past leaders and for this generation of people who are interested in knowing India that we have not seen.
Book Title: Demythsifying Myths: Demystifying 18 Myths about India Author: Amit Bagaria Format: Paperback
Book Title: The title of the book ' Demythsifying Myths: Demystifying 18 Myths about India ' is very clear and interesting.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is a caricature representation of the important chapters that are mentioned in the book.
Inside the book: This book by Amit Bagaria is a collection of absolute 18 myths that have been propagated with lots of hidden stories in it making them ' The Myths ' but in fact, are not. The book starts with the yester year's India before Independence, it's geographical facts and the then ruling dynasties. Often, there are questions being asked about the origin of people living in the sub-continent and there is 'n' number of stories revolving around it. And then the book travels towards the British rule, Independence era, partition, India after independence, the first Lok Sabha elections, many interesting stories around Nehru and his dynasty, his family, Indira Gandhi's regime and then till today's Modi as P.M.
Around the world there are many conspiracies which will never be solved and truths will be buried forever. Likewise, there are many such conspiracies revolving around India's history. For example, be it the death of Lal Bahadur Shastri or Rajiv Gandhi or YSR Reddy and many more. Apart from the deaths, there are many other theories of conspiracies that have been running over in Indian life story since day 1 of its independence.
In this book, the author has taken ample time in collecting so many facts and figures in order to present his readers some of the most shivering facts that have been masked under the name of history or by some people for their own political benefits. Before 2014 General Elections the fate of India was written by some of the people belonging to certain dynasty, but with Modi, as the P.M. it has opened a new gateway to understand the facts that have been hidden as myths.
Here, the author has not taken any sides to support or oppose any leader or person or party or theory. The general things that we as common man talk while watching the news, reading books, discussions held during a chai time or debates that happen over office tables during recess are presented in a bookish format. The author also ensures his readers that the facts presented in the book do not prove that ' They are the real things ' but will surely give new insight in understanding various issues of the country with a new mindset and thinking techniques.
What I like: 1. The honesty with which the author has written the book reflects his seeking and questioning skills. 2. The easy language makes the book reading with a steady flow. 3. There are moments of shock, surprise, wow and what? in the chapters 4. Perfect analysis of allegations and factual explanations are found in the book 5. Through the facts, the author has nullified the cheap and non-real stories that are propagated in and around all modes of media. 6. Some truths about Gandhi Ji, Nehru and Indira Gandhi and their political motives will really surprise the readers. 7. There are so many theories inside the book that can serve as good debate points to be discussed with the young Indians to make them understand how politics play a crucial role.
What I didn't like: This book is an eye-opener about many things that have been hidden from the citizens of this country and hence this section remains obsolete.
Narration: The narration in every chapter is perfect and up to the point. No extra dose of facts or beating in the bush while giving an insight of factual myths that have been masked under the blankets for years gives an eerie feeling after knowing certain things. Every reader who is active in Indian political history before and after independence will definitely get engrossed in the wonderful narration.
Language & Grammar: Simple English language that is suitable for every age reader is used in the book.
My Final Verdict: Shocking and an interesting book
Book Title: 5/5 Book Cover: 5/5 Plot: 5/5 Characters: 5/5 Narration: 5/5 Language & Grammar: 5/5 Final Rating: 5/5
TITLE :- Demythsifying myths AUTHOR :- Amit Bagaria RATING :- 4.5/5
Demythsifying myths by Amit Bagaria is really a wonderful read of 18myths in political history. In this generation some people are not interested in knowing what had happened in our past history.
How we achieved our nation ? What efforts our leaders took to salute our tricolour .
The very most important points of politics are been inked here with the morals , steps used by our myths and it bring's a thought whom should be given a ultimate power , Prime Minister or President ? Author has mentioned a question also based on which system is better ..
It's a short read with simple language and I would like to recommend this book to our new generation readers . For a proper full read I would like to recommend it and it would be a great time if every reader , writer check our 18Myths Story ..
I enjoyed all chapters except last two, they were talking too much on American politics. Author come with interesting point of view. I recommend this book to be read by all Central and state administrative officers and even upsc or kpsc or other state administrative exam aspirants. This book is easy read so even high school or college students could read it and finish it in 2 or 3 days.
Power and money are authoritative and unusual which can take a person to any extent. The secret life and scandalous actions of an individual should not affect the entire nation and push into troubles. As the public servants and representatives, their core responsibility is to keep the citizen first rather than the family members or illegal affairs. The dark secrets of a normal person can fetch the attention of a bunch of people. Clandestine deeds of famous personalities are kept hidden from the people and fool them in every possible way. If revealed, they will shake the entire nation.
This book has opened minds which are brainwashed by the textbooks right from childhood. It has changed all the equations and it is an eye-opener to one who strongly believes and follows popular national leaders blindly. My views have changed after reading this excellent book where the terrifying and obnoxious actions of famous people who held the greatest positions in India.
Instead of serving people and eradicate the issues, certain politicians played a game, a dreadful game where people lost their lives mysteriously. The power always stayed by their side with the involvement of businessmen and bureaucrats. Even puppets were introduced to the power and the real players hid in the dark and led the country.
The author has touched almost all the points which we already know right from childhood. But he focused more on the features which we took for granted and he proved it wrong with proper evidence. The points he mentioned will make you rethink about what you believed through these years.
Right from the initial days of the freedom fighting till now he touched everything in an excellent way. The myths which we have in our brains will get washed away by the author’s facts. The details about various scams, religion, electoral system, population, powers, and everything which is related to this nation is mentioned here. Amit Bagaria has fetched the facts which we neglected and never cared about India and the crucial people with power and status.
How the other nations are involved in our country’s matters and how they helped at the time of crisis are mentioned in this book. Certain points will shock the readers and make them realize that whatever was taught in childhood is an untruth. It poses many questions about society and how to elect the people’s representatives who can take care of the nation instead of their family/businessmen.
The research and effort which Amit took are really appreciable and the whole book has a lot of information which was direct and clear. It really helps the new generation to understand how the system in India works and also gives a clear understanding of the things which were brainwashed right from childhood. A book which is apt for everyone who wants to know the truth and I would strongly recommend this book to all my friends and family.
With it's title and cover being interesting, the content also impresses you, after reading two chapters i was pretty much hooked with it.. I wanted to know more and more. People usually loath reading history but I for one love reading or learning more about our country or other for that matter. And this one here will blow your mind to the limits you will love ultimately.
This book comprises of 18 myths about India. Right from pre Independence era to post independence it covers all the important highlights. Starting from the pre Independence period we usually have many questions in our minds to this date related to many freedom fighters such as our own 'baapu' and 'chacha nehru'. Amount of facts about incidents and praise for the leaders whhich were fed to us when we were kids, this book does help us to understand and question alot of things, with this we also get many answers or if not it does clear our doubts. It literally alters the image of everyone you had as your favorites as kids.
Many questions such as what is better for a country presidential system or the parliamentary system, role of congress party, indian political world, mysterious death in Indian politics, problem with electoral system of India, how and to what extent our country was already divided before independence and many more.
The author backed everything with possible facts and evidences. The amount of research he has put into it is quite appealing and the way of putting things for one to grasp is appreciated. Language used is lucid and the book is well paced.
This is book is not some kind of work which once read can be forgotten about or something you start to read and begin to imagine how the story could go in many different ways. It stays with you throughout, even it gives you a different insight about many incidents and many people.
Overall it is an amazing read to know what went down through all those years ago and how it impacted our Nation. It does leave you wanting more. This is a must read for today's youth, i would say everyone should read it once.
Demystifying 18 Myths about India is author Amit’s attempt to provide his point of view on few of the common beliefs in the country about prominent personalities and about the country. Some of the topics picked by the author have been in vogue for too long that they are trusted by ordinary people as facts and truths. Hence some of them are risky and controversial topics to even pick up and then provide very contrasting views to what has been the popular opinion. Like the question of ‘is Gandhi a Mahatma’ and who bestowed that title on him, what are the qualities that prove him worthy of the title and the author’s counter arguments on why he believes it may be totally the opposite.
Almost all the 18 topics picked by the author are hence controversial if you go by the sentiment of common people in the Indian society. Also, since most of the topics have either political, historic or religious inclination, the opinions expressed by the author may not be in line with what the reader may have grown up believing in. Especially for the millennial's who wouldn’t have been around when these political events happened, if their personal opinions can be kept aside, then the book gives a completely different perspective. Also, the author discussing mostly about leaders from only one political party may not appeal to the party fans and might look like targeting a few people.
The author covers a plethora of events and prominent personalities in Indian history and politics and provides his arguments with precise thoughts. If you are inclined towards these topics, and love reading nonfiction books, then this book is a must read. A gutsy, risky, and interesting compilation.
While going through reviews, I noticed that some people has alleged that the author has not corroborated things in the book with facts. But these ‘Saboot’ gang are not really interested in sabot, because when presented with facts these people deny it outrightly. Things mentioned in the book are already available in academia. Only thing the author has done is compile it in the form of book. The author has given another view about M K Gandhi, J L Nehru, Indira Gandhi. In addition the book has detailed justification that our country should have followed Presidential form of democracy rather than parliamentary form of democracy, which we are following. Also the author has discussed about how the positions like our ministers are selected which we can only dream about.
About negative aspect of the book – the chapters 14. Religion Hindu and 15. Vegetarian Ram. Here the lack of knowledge in these fields is clearly visible. About vegetarian Ram chapter I want to ask author that show me one book where Devi Sita has told Bhagwan Ram to hunt that deer for meal. Devi Sita had told him that “this deer is very beautiful, please bring that for me”. Beautiful things are not for cooking. It would have been better for the author that he stuck to the subjects of his domain and not to venture out his domain and pick up subject in which he has less knowledge. Same thing is about hunting by earlier kings. During peace time hunting was used as tool to test one’s fitness and military skills rather than for meat. If it was for meat, it could have been done someone else or meat of domestic animal’s meat could do. That’s why I am giving him 3 star.
Book Review : Demythsifying Myths : Demythsifying 18 Myths of India Author : Amit Bagaria Genre : Fiction Duration : 4 hours Version : Kindle / E-book Rating : 4 stars Book Review : The book is a great source of knowledge for all the people out there. It was a surprise package for me to read the book as from the cover I was not aware of that this book is so much interesting and holds so much importance. I being a student was very fascinated by the author's work in writing the book as I can understand when we write it takes alot of courage to put the matter in right places. I got a complete package of Indian political background which we thought it was like that only as this book cover about 1) Mahatma Ghanndi 2) Jawaharlal Nehru 3) Lok Sabha 4) Prime Minister of India And many others.... The book is a fiction that is made with strong research to identify 18 Myths which we as children as believing to be true. I am really happy that I read the book. It helped me In gaining knowledge at the same time providing me a story that made me smile.
There is a lucid and simple writing style followed by the author. I thought that the ending could me more interesting as I expected alot from this book after reading about all the people.
I liked the book alot. Would recommend others to read it as well.
It will help in providing complete source of knowledge to the younger generation. It is a good book so any history lover will enjoy the book. The book is designed in a manner that all can enjoy and laugh on the stories
The author holds 25 years of research in this book before writing into a book so I really respect his vision !! I am greatful and thankful for the knowledge.
The contents as well as the title of the book is arresting for anyone giving it a first read. This book was actually an eye opener for me, elucidating unknown facts and stories that were hidden to me due to my own ignorance.
If history and in turn the history of India is something you are interested in and is close to your heart, then you should definitely go for this book.
The book contains several explicit truths about our freedom fighters who are depicted as goldy and have been glorified and mystified in our history books. My thoughts regarding a few have definitely changes, thanks to this book. Among all the chapters, my favorite would be the accounts on Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. I would urge the readers to give this book a read and get acquainted with the real picture of India's freedom struggle.
The writing style is simple and conversational which is a plus point for those who love reading books in simple English. However, I felt that the author has played it safe with the writing style to be largely accepted to the masses.
The beauty of the book lies in the fact, that with every passing chapter you get a deja Vu feeling, when you read about the freedom fighters you have idolized all your life. Some of the accounts of incidents mentioned here, have shocked me as well.
So, if you are interested in the topic per se, and you are looking for a book which is a simple yet shocking read, do give this book a try.
I have bought a kindle version of the book and I am very satisfied with the experience of carrying the book around with me in my device.

Title: Demythsifying Myths Author: Amit Bagaria Format: Kindle/ Paperbook Pages: 236 Ratings: 4.5/5 No. Of chapter: 18
My Review: The author has tried to address a total of 18 myths about our country in this book. This book is covered under 18 chapters which fold 18 myths about India from 5000 Years ago to now which our generation should know. The author covered various sensational topics such as Kashmir, emergency, Article 370, Hindu Religion, lord Ram, UN seats, Chacha Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Indian National Congress, ISLAMIC REPUBLIC STATE, Indian politics, Prime ministers, mysterious death in Indian politics, the problem with the electoral system of India, partition of India and Pakistan, Big Scams and many more. The author begins the book by Chapter 1: India 5000? analyzing whether ‘India’ is a 5000 years old country or not and then 2 chapters on the Mahatma Gandhi and then Chacha Nehru. Chapters I personally Liked from this book: 1. Ye Kashmir hai 2. Hindians, Kya? 3. Hindu Rashtra This Book actually focused on what Politics is. The utter desire of being in power and playing with that power The author has well researched and compiled all these myths in the cleanest way, The author has presented some unknown facts with full evidence that are hard to accept. All I can say about the author is that The author is a very plucky one. The book kept me hooked with it until I finished it to the end and I'm so happy that I picked this book up. I recommend this book to every reader.
Engaging, interesting and historical. This book is a great compilation of facts. It was one of the most-exciting non-fiction titles i have ever read. This book not only answers many inconvenient questions but will also make you ponder about many things like the problem with India's electoral system and the mysterious deaths in Indian political history. The truth being revealed for many of us as we were made to believe all that wasn't the fact or truth all these days.
Amit Bagaria's Demythsifying myths takes us to the depth of each claim that we have been fed as children and tries to check each of them for the validity. The 200 page long book explains 18 incidents in a different perspective. The author begins with the question of whether ‘India’ is a 5000 years old country or not. He moves on to a few questions related to Gandhi, whom we know as Mahatma and also the father of the nation. You will certainly be surprised by the facts that you read in the chapters related to Gandhi. He has a lot of valid points and he raised genuine questions pointing out various events. Some are really shocking.
The writing style is simple and conversational. This book has totally changed my views about many things which was in my mind from childhood. The author keeps things simple and tries to give more information to the readers.
A must-read book to know about the real Indian politics, history books are full of lies.
We have all grown up hearing just the positives of every leader and with that perception we glorify them as legends. What if you really got to know the actual colour of them? Would we still have the same respect and perception towards them? Absolutely NO! We, Particularly Indians have always been brought up in such a way that we just believe the facts .We are also made to believe that those facts are true. And our brains have been narrowed down so that we do not even go a step ahead to find out the real truth.
I really appreciate and admire the research the author has put into this book .It is indeed an eye opener that everyone should read.
Wondering what is this book about?? • I would rather call it The BTS of Indian History. • It contains several explicit truths about our freedom fighters who are depicted as gods and have been glorified in all our books . • This book contains all the just another human quality of the so called Great Leaders. • You will get to know all the selfish motives behind their actions. • Get ready to get shocked!!
If you are someone who loves history, you definitely should read this book you will be surprised how our books are painted with lies. I read a kindle version of this book; I will definitely buy a paperback so I can pass to my family to read. I’m sure you too will find this book enlightening as I did!
P.S I do value the participation of the various leaders in the country’s independence.
The title definitely would make you pick the book. Kudos to the author for that. Many a times we fail by picking the book cause of the title or the cover but end up regretting. This is one book that I assure especially if you love political genre you definitely will not regret picking it up and would definitely finish it at one go.
Though it's non fiction the author lists down the instances in a fictional manner making it no less than a perfect fiction pick.
As the title goes, the book is about 18 myths from both pre and post independence era. Many of which will make you go in awe and shock at the same time. A lot of questions arise in your mind as you progress through each chapter. The amount of effort taken to collect this information and amalgamate them into this wonder book of truths that were hidden from us by our yesteryear politicians in the name of myths is commendable.
The author has been neutral and completely honest with the views mentioned. The writing style is crisp and clear with the author making the points bang on. Rather than dragging or beating around the bush, the facts are accurate.
If you are interested in politics and your mind has a number of questions clouding up this book should give you answers you were looking out for.
This book comprises of 18 myths about India. Right from pre Independence era to post independence it covers all the important highlights which would make you think on certain facts.
This book reflects the reality of our freedom fighters, throws light on their journey, their morals and repercussions of their decisions.
This book would make you question certain facts on so many levels. Right from Hinduism, Hindu rashtra, various issues from Indian political world, mysterious death in Indian politics, problem with electoral system of India.
The author has well researched and summerised all these myths in a lucid way. The book is well paced, you would love the read as the myths gets unravelled.
This book will make you think President or Prime Minister who should be given ultimate power, our leaders of post independence, struggled with this question.
Author has also highlighted an important question, which system is better, American Presidential system or Indian Parliamentary system.
Overall book was an interesting read. I really loved author's writing skill and how he put forward his points.
Demystifying 18 myths about India is a plot twist on Indian political history. This book will help us to crack so many myths that we might have considered as facts and which may or may not be questioned earlier. This book have covered 18 myths that most of us have been led to believe. Through this book, the Author tried to clear out the myths in a language that is quite easy to understand. There are 18 chapters in the book, each discussed about a unique issue which is prevalent in India before and after the Independence. The Author begin by analyzing whether India truly was a 5000-year-old nation and dedicated two chapters to the "Father of our Nation" followed by two chapters on the Nehru Era. Likewise all the chapters have a story about someone or something related to our History which makes it an interesting read. Overall its an eye opener book that everyone should read.
The most fascinating book, by now I know author Amit Bagaria is a very interesting person and is a professional writer. This is the third book I am reading of the author and must say, I was waiting to read his next work. And after reading this book I can say I am just a huge fan of his work and looking forward to read other books as well.
This book is filled with myths of India and it's a book of Indian history. The book will give you more details of individuals like Mahatma Gandhi, Chacha Nehru, and many more such individuals along with political matters, Religion, that will make you aware of many unknown historical facts of India.
Overall a very well researched book and if you are looking for a book that will capture your attention you from the very start then read now.
I will give the book 3 stars out of 5. The sole reason for the positive rating (if you take it that way) - the book presents true facts that we must know. How many of modern guys may know about Mr. Bramhachari and Indira's relation? How many of 21st-century people may know about Gandhi's celibacy experiments? The people need truth and the author has offered that. My sole reason for negative rating - if you take it that way - the book does not offer a list of sources from where the author has collected the facts. The Internet may be your friend but you do need a book that offers your curiosity a respite!
I usually don't read non-fiction especially if it about politics. But the book by Amit Bagaria hs strked me to read it. The cover fo the page itself express a lot. It is all about the dynast politics of India, misrepresentation of thoughts, and conspiracies that have taken the lives of many. The book dig deeps in the search of truth and it has covered a lot in detailed. Honestly speaking, sometimes I fear who was ruling our country. We were in a democracy or in the hands of dynast politicians. A wonderful representation of thoughts, data and figures that reveals the hidden secrets and mysterious about India.
