K.L. Myers was born in West Berlin, Germany, the daughter of a military father. She then spent her childhood moving from continent to continent, finally landing permanently in Colorado when her father retired.

Eventually, she moved to "hell," aka Arizona, where she resides with her husband & their fur babies. She has two daughters & four grandchildren, and she believes in living every day to the fullest.

This might be book number two in the series but it gives the reader a slice of Lillian's background. He love and affection for her bodyguard Angelo is an affair that was a joy to read. The back and forth and the pedestal he puts her on emotionally made him like Prince Charming. I hope Angelo gets his HEA.

But this is the mafia and he is dealing with the Capo's daughter. Does he care? He should, but when the forbidden fruit is dangling in front of you you want a taste.
Angelo and Lili really blew me away. She had had a thing for him since she turned 16. But Angelo kept telling he no. What happens when the temptation is to great? I'm not saying. But this book is absolutely amazing

I really enjoyed this book from K.L Myers.
Lost in L.O.V takes us back a few years into Lillian's life and the relationship she had with her bodyguard. Lillian's family are the mafia, she's the capo's daughter and Angelo was there to protect her but the lines of their relationship soon became blurred.

A great but short read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to read more of Lillian's story in the near future.

I had never read anything by K.L. Myers until I sat down to read ACAL. I know… *hangs head in shame* But in my defence, ACAL was quickly devoured followed by LIL. And I’m still hungry for more – hurry up, Book 3!

After the bombshells in Book 1, LIL gives you some insight into Lillian’s background and the life she desperately wants to escape, and the one man who holds the key to her future happiness.

It’s a tale of forbidden love, and the ultimate sacrifice. For what greater sacrifice is there than forfeiting your own happiness for the one you love.

Don’t look at me like that! Just because Angelo is a soldier with a notorious crime family is neither here nor there, people! He still has a heart *harrumph*

I’m being honest, I’m a teeny tiny bit in love with Angelo – shocker, eh? I was like, Linc who? *snorts*

So, in my humble opinion we should have a return to Angelo’s story in the future – go figure! Plus, he’s packing the inches where it counts, ladies *winks*

So this is more like the prequel to the last book telling the story of Lillian's bodyguard and their story. Angelo is pretty fab, but to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with Lillian. I know she was young, but she came off as just spoiled and annoying.

As in her last book (love at last #1) this book is very light on the sexy department, some dirty talking but not a whole lot and the sex scenes themselves are pretty tame as well. It's a very quick read and you really feel for these two, but since I knew they weren't going to end up together it was hard to get too invested in them as a couple. The writing is really well done, this author knows how to write a story, but everyone seems to get along too well, and cave a little easily. The way they talk doesn't come off as quite believable either, especially for Angelo. I don't think he ever used a single contraction when he spoke which just sounded a little strange to me. Fun read though to see the history of these two. I still prefer Lincoln since he didn't walk away without a word.

K.L. Myers continues to bring it in this awesome “Love at Last” series. If you have not read or listened to the first book, “A Chance at L.O.V.E” I recommend you get that right now. In that book you meet both Lincoln and Lillian, in this book we get an inside look at who Lillian is, where she came from and what her family is all about. Her father Francesco Vicci, a powerful crime boss in New York and Lillian is his only child, heir to his empire, one she wants no part of. Angelo Rizzuto, a killer and soldier for the mob, Francesco assigned him to watch over Lillian when she was 12 years old, making her his ward. Lillian and Angelo grew closer over the years, when she was 18 she wanted him to be more that a body guard and friend. Despite the 10 year age gap Angelo could no longer deny his attraction to her but if her father found out it would be a death sentence to him and his family. I loved learning more about Lillian and who Angelo was to her, it gives you insight of why she the way she is in the first book. I also loved what Angelo chose to do and how he went about doing it. Sacrifice in the name of L.O.V. This book ends as cliffhanger in current time and what an ending it is, I am looking forward to what come next in the third book, “Finding “L.O.V.”. K.L Myers thank you for another fantastic story. 🎧📚🎧

I listened to the Audible edition, Lacy Laurel and Scott Rider continue to bring these characters and their story to life. They are talented narrators who make the characters their own, performing the roles with perfection. Scott Rider’s played the perfect Angelo, sounding just as an Italian alpha mobster would sound. Lacy Laurel grasped Lillian’s persona as well, going from a young girl to a young lady.They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

I read this after reading book 1, A Chance at L.O.V.E. (Lincoln’s story). This book is Angelo’s story. Working for a mafia family, he is assigned to watch over 12-year-old Lillian Olivia Vicci (L.O.V.). Throughout the years he’s become her confidant and he has watched her grow into a beautiful woman. After pleading with her father to go away to college with Angelo still watching over her, he can no longer deny the feelings he has for her and they soon find themselves wrapped in each other, even though Angelo knows his life is over if her father ever finds out. After discovering something devastating about her health, Angelo breaks her heart by leaving and never returning. As the years go by she slowly heals from her broken heart and falls for the handsome yet arrogant Lincoln Oliver Vincent Eastwick (L.O.V.E.). But during an unexpected return home to care for her father, she finds out that Angelo has always been very much a part of her life.

Angelo’s selfless decisions caused heartbreak for Lillian, but she was able to overcome it and fall hard for Lincoln. Angelo has always protected her and would die for her. It is through another selfless act that he contacts Lincoln to help Lillian. We will have to wait for the next book to see what happens next!

Although I enjoyed this very much I would have liked it to have just a little more content to smooth it out a bit, I felt at times it jumped which had me blinking and wondering if I missed something. I cant go into detail because it may just be me and I wouldn't want to spoil it for anyone else. I love diving into a story and really getting lost, with this I did to some degree but just felt I kept missing something. I loved the first book when it came out as part of the anthology and really looked forward to completing the story, this takes us back before the first book. It is the female character growing up and becoming of age, her life already pre destined in a way she doesn't want so she fights for the right to do what she wants and gets her way with some restrictions. For Ang he has spent many years protecting her, stepping up to deal with issues that arise. All of this is good, but sometimes things crop up that are not really explained or no lead up to them, a decision is made but it is not clear why. It isn't enough to spoil the story as a whole just cause a few hick-ups. The plot is good and interesting the main characters are easy to like. There is some violence due to the Mafia type theme, nothing long drawn out. On the whole a very good read.

Lillian’s story, and, another character is in play.>

This is book two in the Love At Last series, and even though it goes back to Lillian’s beginning, you absolutely HAVE to read A Chance At L.O.V.E first. It’s imperative even!

Here is Lillian’s story as she grows up, having the man she wants watch over her as she grows into maturity, still loving him. For a moment, it seems perfect until a family crisis affects them both – badly.

This is also the story of the man who shattered Lillian’s heart, and his own, when he denied them the chance of a future, when he backed out of the relationship, and out of her life, through guilt and his loyalty to the family. In Book 1, he sounded like a creeper, but, it is in his story that my heart broke for him as he watched and guarded Lillian from afar, and knew the moment that he’d lost her forever. This, I thought was true sacrificial love, and Lillian knew nothing of it. I really wanted him to have a win somewhere.

K L Myers is a new to me author who’s fast paced writing in this novella series has held me entranced as I race through this book to get to the next. 4.5 action packed stars.

While this is the second book in the LOVE series, it actually predates book 1. It’s about Lillian growing up in a mafia family and how she fell in love with her bodyguard Angelo. Lillian was 12 years old when her father assigned Angelo, who is 10 years older than Lillian, to be her bodyguard. Angelo watched as Lillian went from being an awkward bratty preteen to a beautiful young woman. Over time they fell in love, but he refused to do anything about it because of his loyalty to her father. When Lillian convinces her father to let her move from New York to California to go to college, he agrees as long as Angelo goes with her. Lillian is beyond happy when they finally admit their love and act upon it…only to have that happiness destroyed when Angelo is called back to New York and he tells her that he won’t be coming back! Years later when Lillian is called home by her father, she runs into Angelo… Great read to find out if she gets back with her first true love or will she stay will her new love! GREAT read and looking forward to reading book 3 of the series!!!

Lost in L.O.V. is the second book in the Love At Last series, so YOU MUST READ A Chance At L.O.V.E (Book 1) FIRST, and don't let the whole Bid On Love Series Bachelor #4 thing confuse you, because it's listed under two series. Anyway, let me get to it. In this installment, the talented K.L. Myers goes back to Lillian's past a bit, to show us her first love, Angelo and what happened. I'm not going to go into more detail since it's a short read, but seriously, I have more questions than answers at this point, as it barely scratched the surface of the place that I was left hanging from the first book, so I'm still singing some serious colorful metaphors off the side of that same cliff. I know I'm completely hooked, cannot get enough, and know that there's so much more coming down the pike, so the next book cannot come out quickly enough to rescue me off the side of this cliff that I've been hanging off for too long! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Angelo Rizzuto was given a very important job. He gives me a revelation that surprised me due to the fact that it involves one of our main characters. The next surprise was because I had no clue from the first book that this history was going to come to light – great way to bump things up. It certainly had me saying “this is an interesting turn of events!” Certainly shows a level of creativity.

After reading the first book, I kept expecting to see both main characters. You will see that has changed here. It certainly will leave you wondering what else this author can come up with. And if I didn’t mind this twist, I’m sure you won’t have a problem with it either. But you have to wonder what is coming next for our three characters.

Love this series!

This series seems to get better and better with each installment.

I absolutely loved reading about Lillian's past which very much involved her DELICIOUS bodyguard, Angelo.

My heart ACHED for Angelo and everything he sacrificed. But seeing how protective he was made me swoon a lot while reading. Being a bodyguard with a mob family was anything but easy and required him to do things no man should have to do. But he did them and quite well, actually.

Fast forward seven years and we're back in present time where A Chance at LOVE left us. We get to see Lincoln again and that man is just as swoony as ever.

This second book in the Love At Last series blew me away. It takes us back in the past and we get to take the journey with Lillian and experience the “family” life with her. We feel the undeniable connection that is soul deep to her bodyguard Angelo and see when a man like him states he will give his life for hers, just what he will do to keep this promise. Lost in L.O.V. is one of experiencing love, sacrificing love and giving love. If you weren’t enamoured by this series before, this second installment will have you totally and utterly head over heels.

Lost in Love is mainly about Lillian growing up. You meet her protector Angelo. This one takes you through these two falling in love and him protecting her. I enjoyed reading this one because it helped me to understand the relationship between these two and how things happened to make Lillian the strong woman that she is. I absolutely loved that Lincoln is in this one and what happens. I felt this one was intense and the beginning of the rest of the story.

Lost in L.O.V. is book two in the Love At Last Series. If you haven’t read book 1, A Chance at L.O.V.E, I recommend reading that first.
Lost in L.O.V. gives us the back story of Lillian and her bodyguard/first love Angelo. Growing up the daughter of a mob boss isn’t easy. She didn’t have the freedom any normal girl her age did, her family expected her to marry another mob family member to join two families. Lillian, stubborn and strong willed, had other plans. She didn’t want to marry someone she didn’t love, someone she thought of as more of a brother and she wanted her freedom, she wanted to go to college.
Angelo worked for Lillian’s father. When Lillian was 12 he become her bodyguard, never to leave her side. Over time he started to fall in love with her but he knew that her father would kill him for wanting his daughter. He devoted his entire life to protecting Lillian.
After meeting Lillian in A Chance at L.O.V.E and learning a little bit of her past, I loved being able to read about her experience growing up, going to college and her struggles to just break free from her family and their mob lives. I loved reading about her first love in Angelo and the loss of that love, how she managed to somewhat gain the freedom and the life she wanted. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen next with Lillian, Lincoln and Angelo.

Well hell, this series is amazing. Lets go back to a few years back and Lillian's love affair with her body guard. This book is intense and shows just how powerful Lillian's family is as well as how strong Lillian is. She is an incredible heroine and I love learning more about her story. Angelo is intense and sexy also. It would be hard not to swoon over him and even harder to resist. This book really puts a new perspective on Lillian's life after Angelo. I am so looking forward to finding out where this story is gonna go!!

Amazing! I absoutley loved how this story brings us back to the very beginning. We get Liallian and Angelos "forbidden" romance. As well as how Lillian gained her independence from the family. It then brings us to where she is at, for the beginning of the first story.

Angelo and Lillian's story is so dang heartbreaking! I want to weep for them. They have so many hurdles to try and overcome.
