I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve always loved books and films that involve human experiments that’s why I was very intrigued in the beginning. However, I do not think this book is not my cup of tea. I read page after page about four people all stuck in a windowless building for months while they are training to be another person. The writing itself was good but it was rather lengthy and the story seems to be not going anywhere. I could not see the reason why they have to make people believe that they are immortal. It was only when we reached the end of it that we get ‘some’ of the explanations that we were looking for in the first 200+ pages of the book. Though I must admit, I liked the idea of raising a child surrounded by people you hired and trained to think that they’re immortal so that that child would grow up thinking that death does not exist. But this could have been explained in the beginning and would have made the story more compelling instead of releasing it all in the last few pages which made the ending feel like it was hastily written.

Though this one is not for me, I would like to thank Mr. Kuili for giving me a copy of your book and I wish you all the best for the rest of the series!

In Ray N. Kuili's serialized novel Eden Can Wait, Ryan, an entrepreneurial journalist, loves chasing after the next big story and asking questions, but after posting an article he was told not to publish, he is, once again, unemployed. When the Experimental Science Institute (ESI) invites Ryan to take part in a research project for which he could be very well compensated, he warily accepts. There is a catch: he must pass training in order to participate in the research project an the next three years of his life are theirs. He can have no contact with the outside world, and he must consent to having plastic surgery. Thus, Ryan, now named Five, is transported to ESI's facility where the rules of the world have changed. Along with his companions, Eight, Ten, and Four, he must learn a new world and personal history as well as believing some fundamental changes that are fact in this New World.  The journalist in Ryan can't stop asking questions. What is this place? Is this a weird game? What really are they researching? Is it worth it?
Told in "episodes" Eden Can Wait  is presented through Ryan's perspective and in a journalistic style. He observes and questions. He writes factually and tries to pull the threads of his observations together. He would be able to write a killer expose on ESI if everything goes sideways. Because we are so intimate with Ryan's thoughts, he becomes a very well-developed character with whom we can relate. Kuili has also created interesting secondary characters; however, they are a little cliché : the nerd, the class clown, the love interest with a troubled past. Despite the cliché , it works. They add flavor to the monotony of their training, and help drive the story to its thought-provoking open-ended conclusion.
Kuili poses some great philosophical questions about the mores of our cultures, especially on our concept of life. He makes us think about death, the mind, the consequences of technology, ethics, and what it means to be human. Eden Can Wait  is a solid science fiction novel, pulling from science fiction lore and adding its own spin. I can't wait to see what book/season 2 has in store.
Overall, I give this novel 4/5 stars.

”the reason the hardest what-if questions remain unanswered, is that those who ask them are not willing to go all the way. they are not ready to explore all options.“

this is the kind of book that went slow and then it blow💥

since the very 1st page, this book has been tempting me to think of every possible science or even mind-blowing theories... the what, why, and how questions keep creeping inside my bones! at the end, it honestly just a simple fact that I’ve been learning since a long long time ago about some kind of connection between your mind and your body, but the story were brought amazingly... the specific theory brought for the experiment in this book were brilliant, because I’ve never thought about this ’theory’ that way, and now this book got me overthinking the possibility whether this kind of experiment really exist or not...😅

the only thing that bothered me from this book was the lack chemistry between 2 characters that ‘potentially’ would end up being a lovers... like, there were a moment when one of this character giving up on something important easily just so they both could be together, but how could it possibly happened when this two barely even have chemistry or romance connections?!!!

other than the romance part, everything were fine... I can’t wait to find out what will happen on book 2 or season 2!

“In your world, death simply does not exist in any way, shape or form.”

First off, I want to say thank you to Ray Kuili for reaching out and allowing me to read this unique serialized story. Kuili gave me a free e-copy to read in exchange for an honest review. Eden Can Wait, both seasons 1 and 2 are available now.

This is a unique way of writing a book. Kuili wrote this story like a tv series. The story is broken up into different “episodes” that make up season 1. This is what grabbed my attention when he reached out. I have never heard of a book like this, so I found it unique. Also the fact that this seemed to be a mixture of Sci-fi and thriller was a definite yes!

In the beginning, I wasn’t sure where the story was going. I found it a bit confusing and became worried that this book was not going to be as exciting as I had originally thought. I was wrong. Yes, it took a bit to get into it, but isn’t that how most tv shows start? It’s the intro. You have to learn and understand the plot. Once I started to get into the meat of the story I was hooked. The mystery that is kept until the very end keeps you reading. You want to understand what is going on, and what Ryan has agreed to be a part of for the next three years.

This was a great start to a wonderful series. It kept my attention and had me wanting to keep going through each episode to get to the end. The mystery was well done and the ending left you completely shocked and with more questions than ever before. I would definitely recommend giving this a try.

The concept was extremely compelling: hiring normal people to enter a world where there is no death and pretend they're immortal. But I wanted more payoff.

The writing relied so much on exposition that I found myself getting very bored during these sections. There was also a rather baseless attempt at a romantic subplot (the possibility was mentioned briefly once, shot down gently once, and then it was about to become the main character's entire "reason for being" - nah) that was distracting from the plot and completely unnecessary. We spent this entire novel (season) building and building towards the point of entry, going through the tedium of four people trapped in what is essentially school for months at a time only to... Stop before we get any payoff at all.

I'm also not super into the format of serialized novels. The episodes were an awkward length that, without chapter delineations, dragged and didn't fit together when I read them back to back.

I was given a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
I had mixed opinions about this boom when I read the description. Sci-fi stuff can be hit or miss with me. They need to be done well or I don’t care too much for them. The concept of this book intrigued me so I gave it a shot.
The book had a lot to take in and sometimes felt a little slow, but it only took me about a day and a half to read the book, so it was actually fast moving. It left me thinking deeply about life which is always a huge plus in my eyes.
If you want a unique story that rattles you this is the book for you. The ending was so cool and I’m eager to read the next episodes and see where this story goes.
I love how this is split into episode. It provided the nice mental break I needed at times after reading some intense mind boggling things.
This is a boon worth reading for sure. I loved the idea and I’m eager to see where this goes.

I received a free or reduced price copy of "Eden Can Wait (Season 1)" by Ray N. Kuili. The concept of "Eden Can Wait" is different from anything I’ve read. The premise of the book is that certain people are offered the opportunity to sign up for an unknown experiment with a shadowy organization providing a great financial reward at the end if they are accepted. You get bread crumbs along the way, but when it is put together, its like WoW. I thought this was going to be the standard dytopian thriller; I thought that I knew what was going to happen next, but boy was I wrong. I have already pre-ordered season two the book was that good. Pick up your copy today or read for free in kindleunlimited.

I wrote the following review on Amazon after reading the first four episodes:

“The alternate universe on Fringe, the barn on Haven, and the island on Lost all rolled into one addicting storyline. Carlton Cuse and J.J. Abrams...this is your next hot TV series. I'm looking forward to reading the next episode.”

I recently completed Season One and my initial thoughts remain unchanged. The concept of Eden Can Wait is different from anything I’ve ever read, and each episode moves the story forward with unexpected twists and turns. Looking forward to Season Two!!

An interesting concept. People chosen to sign up for an unknown experiment with a great financial reward at the end - if they can pass the test. The carrot is dangled, would you take the chance? What happens if you pass? what happens if you fail? So many unknowns, but so much money. The story is about people that did take the chance, and you learn the truth at the same time they do, that is - if they can pass the test. Great story, can't wait for the next chapter.

While I like the basic plot of pretending immortality, too much of the book got caught up in telling rather than showing.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book/season. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a well thought out and interesting story. The author did a great job of keeping my interest as our main character is trying to figure out what ECI is up to. After the reveal at the end of the book, I'm really looking forward to season 2.

There were a bunch of grammar errors and missing/added words, which was distracting.

This novel was exactly what I was in the mood to read!! It was sinister and kind of creepy from the beginning and it got creepier as I read on.

We follow our main character Ryan, a young Boston journalist, who had a big story published in the paper. But when he finds himself suddenly unemployed and his image tainted by the controversial article, he has a deal offered to him that he just can't ignore.

Financially struggling Ryan finds himself being interviewed for a job he knows nothing about that is offering him a boatload of money.

The interview is for a scientific experiment in which he will have to sign 3 years of his life away in exchange for financial freedom when the 3-year contract is up. Once he agrees, the money is immediately deposited into his account.🤑🤑🤑. Ryan agrees and is thrusted into the biggest scientific experiment ever. He meets others that were promised the same thing, they become a group of fast friends and together, piece by piece they try to figure this thing out. Only its not one they can easily figure out. This is something bigger than anyone would have thought.🙈. You guys, this book had me floored. I'm always great at figuring out the twists in novels early on. I have to say, I was never able to predict the twists in this novel.🙊🙊🙊. A strict and sinister organization that has a huge hidden agenda. It might be too late for our main characters... Or maybe not?😲. I highly recommend this ebook. It's a serialized novel. I read the complete season one. I need to read season 2. That ending was insane. 🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🙊🙊
