A teen girl’s diets to attract a boyfriend, but does she want the right boy?

Sixteen-year-old Cassie detests her muffin top. But how can she lose those nineteen pounds? She loves eating too much.

Inspired by a Bible study about making the body a fit temple for the Holy Spirit, she convinces her scrawny best friend, Jason, to help her develop a simple weight loss program. One that God surely won’t mind her also using to attract a great prom date and maybe even a boyfriend.

Jason is crazy about Cassie, but he’s afraid of ruining their special friendship by telling her how he feels about her. Helping her lose weight to attract some other boy? Not an appealing prospect. What can he do?

Mandy, the preacher’s daughter, comes up with a solution. Jason should send Cassie romantic notes—as her secret admirer. What a great idea!

But, as the old poem says, "There's many a slip 'twixt the cup and the lip."

Roger can't decide which genre he prefers. He's written speculative fiction, contemporary women's fiction, and novels for teens. His current interest is fiction for and about senior adults. All of his twenty-four novels are Christian, however, and are free from objectionable language, sexual content, and gratuitous violence.

Roger plays bass on his church praise team and guitar at a weekly nursing home ministry. He has also been on mission trips to Australia, England, Wales, Romania, and Nicaragua.

At 78 he's still in pretty good health, but stays home a lot more than he used to. He enjoys reading, walking, photography, writing music and recording his own songs at home, and playing Quidler with his delightful wife, Kathleen.
