Just finished the sequel to Waivering Minds. This was an awesome read. Lush characters, set against the backdrop of the St. Louis region. Loved the Balboa (aka Denise Ferry) character, beautiful but deadly. This story nicely continues an amazing and somewhat scary time reflective of our current fascination with technology, and how to keep up with it as a human being. Reading along, I found myself visualizing locations referenced in St. Louis MO, and surrounding areas. C. James brings the characters to life through dialogue, and thought processes, allowing the reader to catch on to who is speaking based off of what they say, situationally. There are plenty of twists, turns, and enough action. “Man up and fight like a girl”. This is a great read. There are also a couple of novellas, one between this one and Waivering Lies, and then there is another between this story and the third Brainwaiver novel. Please read the set, you won’t be disappointed.
