A robbery, an obvious suspect, missing people, and a club president who doesn’t believe him… Ryder knows everything is against him, but his intuition has never let him down and he’s counting on it now, more than ever. Storm was just trying to get by, dealing with the problems that kept getting thrown at her… and now this! She was already on the back foot, and life just took another step in the wrong direction - or was she destined to be right here, right now. Time would tell, but time was running out faster than she could keep up.
This is the 12th book in the Southside Skulls MC Series. It is a Standalone Romance Novel but characters from the previous novels, DAX, CODY, GUNNER, ZACK, LEVI, KAT, HUNTER, GARRETT, WHEELIE, JIGSAW/RUSTY & CHOPPER are included in this story too. HEA and No cliffhanger. Intended for Mature Readers. * * * The Southside Skulls MC Series is about members of the MC club, and their friends and associates. Each story, while focused around one or more main characters, is not necessarily about a Southside Skulls club member, but the story is related to Skulls members and the club.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
If you love MC romance novels then this is so the series for you. The Southside Skulls are a little different then some but they do a good job. This time we meet Ryder as he investigates the robbery of a bar owned by the club. The main suspect just happens to draw him in and man do the fireworks go off once they work everything out. I am really enjoying this series and cannot wait to see who is next. A must read for fans of the genre. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
I cannot say enough how much I love this series. Even with so many books every single one is fresh and unique. Hands down though, Ryder and Storm are now my favorite couple. Sexy yet sweet their story is loaded with suspense that keeps you guessing and turning the pages as fast as your eyes can read. I devoured this book in one sitting totally hooked to the magic that is Storm and Ryder. Framed for a robbery Storm is the number one suspect in the eyes of Ryder’s MC president. But even seeing her once Ryder is convinced of her innocence. These two are quick to fall in love and burn hotter than any fire with the chemistry between them! Their story is filled with twists and turns to go along with the steamy romance in a way that keeps you hooked to every page.
Ryder and Storms book. Her name is actually Stormy but has always gone by Storm Waters. They meet when she almost takes his head off with a baseball bat and then a few minutes later the bar is robbed. A case of too many suspects and everything points to the innocent. Kinda easy to figure out the who but the why is not. Seems they go from one side of the country to the other and back again trying to peace it all together. It was a good book but feel like the author might be getting a little bored with writing this series as she is leaving more and more out. Definitely needed an epilogue. Would have liked to have seen where they went with their lives. How did things go when he met her Mother... did the surgery help with the problems she had...etc.
I have been loving this series and this was another entertaining and likable installment to the series. This book didn't have a bunch of action like many MC books have but it did leave us asking who could be behind the mystery. It will leave you questioning yourself and falling for the characters as you read more and more. I love this MC and have loved all the books in this series. I have yet to get tired of all their stories and am always excited to get a new one and to catch up a bit with the previous characters.
Ryder is not a complete hard ass as so many of his fellow MC men. He is so sweet and caring and although he has enjoyed many of a lady, he knows that there is something about Stormy that he can't deny and he doesn't want to. He is loyal to a fault but they may cost him something important. Will he be able to stay true to both the MC and Stormy? Will he lose one of the most important things in his life?
Stormy has been blamed for a crime she didn't do and the MC is determined to find the evidence of her wrong doing. Everything is pointing to her but Ryder knows she didn't do it. As you read this story you will see that she is such a sweet and caring person until she is crossed that there is no way she could do this. She is independent and doesn't want to depend on anyone and has been doing all she can to do what she has to do to help her mom but that doesn't include doing what she was accused of. Being with Ryder is more than she expected. She is falling more and more for him but will he be able to put her first? Will he be loyal to her? She wants to come first to someone for once, will Ryder be that someone?
Another enjoyable read from Jessie Cooke. I can't wait for Wolf's story!!!
So this is the 12th or 13th book in this series, because I'm not sure if you could count Jigsaw and Rusty books as whole books. Those two were more like novella's. Not that, that really matter's they were still just as good. Anyways I'm getting off track here, so lets just get back on track. Whichever number book this is doesn't matter, I still want more of this series however many books there are. I never grow tired of these character's. I'm not sure if this book is the last of the Southside Skulls or not and I'll explain that at the end of my review.
Let's start with Ryder. I liked Ryder, I thought he was sweet, kind, caring, and he had the whole smexy alphaness going on for him. Ryder is also a former nomad that had rode around with Garrett and Chopper. But felt like there was something a bit lacking or maybe missing in his life. But he has now found that settling with the Southside Skulls has seemed to ease some of what he's missing.
I have to say that at first that I thought Storm was awesome. At first that thought she was tough and had an edge. I don't want to say that I started to dislike her. But I did become a bit frustrated with her.
I thought this book started out with a bang and even brought some twists to it. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review I'm not sure if Ryder is the last of the Southside Skulls. I've heard that Mrs. Cooke is about to start a new series. Of course I loved seeing appearances from Hunter and Dax.
I'm giving this book 4 Stars out of 5 and can't wait for Wolf's book!!!!
***I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion***
Another sexy installment in the Southside Skulls series!
Ryder slides into the action quite unwittingly, after first encountering a sexy little spitfire threatening him with a baseball bat. While still dealing with that situation with a healthy dose of good humor, a robbery breaks out in the bar and never one to stand idly by, he steps in and takes over. But he's unprepared to deal with his Prez's suspicion, or his own attraction, for the woman who works there, the bat-wielding Storm.
Stormy Waters wasn't looking for trouble, in fact, she's fleeing it but it always seems to follow her. Landing a much needed job at a bar is helping her get back on her feet, until the bar is robbed and she becomes the prime suspect, at least as far as the President of the Southside Skulls is concerned. Getting on the bad side of the notorious MC, and mixing it up with one of the"brothers" is the very last thing she needs.
I enjoyed Ryder from the jump. He's uber sexy with a sense of humor and honor and quite the storyteller. He also has a soft side that is fascinating to watch as it blooms. Storm was a first character hell-bent on going it alone but when things start to spiral out of control, the sexy biker might be the only person willing it have her back.
Awesome book and great characters. I loved these two and getting to catch up with the other characters from the Southside Skulls!

Ryder was a story that quickly cast me in it's spell because I tried to just read a couple chapters before bed, and before I knew it, I had read the whole book. It starts out fast when Ryder goes to pick up a deposit from the bar his MC owns, and it turns into a robbery with the new girl, Storm, being the prime suspect. The problem becoming that Storm is a prime suspect at taking Ryder's heart as well, but he's torn because the club is investigating her, while he doesn't believe she had anything to do with it, everything is pointing that she did. Now doesn't that sound completely addicting? It was, so my advice is to not start it before bed because no sleep will be coming until every last page is devoured with the fast paced, exciting read. Not only are there all kinds of f-bomb dropping worthy twists, but there's chemistry that doesn't take long to turn into sexy times that light the sheets on fire, to where no panties are safe, fire! And then the drama, oh the drama of the secondaries who could have done it, are many. Plus the many alpha, sexy, bikers running around. Yeah, it ticked all the boxes! Love me some brilliant Jessie Cooke, with her sexy bikers, so cannot wait for the next book in this fantastically exciting series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Ryder did a favor and ran right into a robbery and a hot little firebrand with a big stick. While they were fighting over his right to come in the back door to pick up the bank deposit--someone else was out front robbing them. Robbing an MC is not a good idea.
Storm was brand new. She was also the main suspect. Ryder saw more in her and didn't believe her guilty. Of course, the fact he wanted her might have something to do with his feelings. At least that's what Dax, the prez thought.
So begins the new life for Storm and Ryder. In order to prove her innocence, he has to find out who really did the deed. Just when he thinks he trusts her a new player enters, plants evidence and leaves. Yep, life isn't on her side right now. Good thing Ryder is. Can he prove her innocence? Is she? Do they have a chance?
I like this MC. They are tough, loyal, mostly legal, and don't treat any of their women badly. Of course, the guys are hot and women lovers. Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
Another enjoyable read from Jessie Cooke and her Southside Skulls MC series.
Ryder is a pretty easy character to fall for. He’s strong, funny, tenacious and sexy. He pretty much took the spot for my favorite male character in this series.
Storm is feisty and yet has an innocence about her, too. She easily drove Ryder crazy but it worked well for their dynamic lending to some great chemistry between the two. I probably liked her more than most of the other h’s in the series.
Overall, the story was well done and had a great mix of what I like about MC Romances. There’s the action and the suspense, the fun banter and humor and of course the sexiness. Lots of twists and turns that are always present. I definitely recommend Ryder!

Loved it! I truly enjoyed reading it, did not want to set it down for a moment. The author gave us a bit with Dax and the boy's, I always love to see what they are up to. They do It and do It well.
This was a twister, the storyline continued to grow, adding new people and angles, it never got boring. When you thought you knew what was going to happen, the author changed things up. Ryder & Storm are a match made in heaven. The author did a fantastic job blending their personalities and kept things spicy but not outrageous. Sometimes in life, we do the wrong thing for the right reasons.
The author also gave us a bonus at the end, the prequel to her spin-off series, Westside Skulls MC. Good Lord, let me tell you I thought I was going to need a fan just reading the first chapter. I can't wait to read that one. Happy Reading!
DNF - who the hell is "Stormy" to be so full of herself. She is nothing and while Ryder is helping her she emasculated him over & over while making him apologize. Its disgusting & I refuse to read such trash. Respect goes a long way & she needs to learn some. Who wouldn't be mad when she openly flirts with someone else & then admits she did it to piss him off. Ugh. Then he follows her back to the posh hotel HE'S PAYING FOR so he can apologize for her being a bitch. This is after he's had her back THE ENTIRE TIME and there is no appreciation. Nope just more emasculating comments about not needing him because she's independent. He should've let Dax at her from the beginning but no, he's working to clear her name...so she throws him out. Real gratitude there. Leave her sorry ass in NY & go home. She certainly isn't worth it!

Ryder is doing his friend Garrett by going to pick up the receipt from the bar the club owns. That when he runs into stormy. She sees him coming in the back door and she doesn’t know who he is so she grab the baseball bat that is keep just inside the door and goes to knock his head off tell Caroline the manager comes in to see what is taking stormy so long. But soon they hear yelling and what they see in the bar is someone robbing the bar. But Ryder can’t stop it because he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt.soon the skulls think it was storm and her mom that robbed the bar but Ryder doesn’t think so and he sets out to prove it.so enjoy another good read and see what they find out!!
What another fantastic installment in the Southside Skulls MC series. I loved Ryder from the first chapter. Once I picked the book up I couldn’t put it down. Such a fast paced story.
Ryder goes to make a deposit for the club owned bar and is caught up in a robbery. Storm, the new girl in town, is the primary suspect. Ryder can see through her and believes she’s not guilty. His judgment is compromised because of his feelings towards her. Will he be able to prove her innocence to all of his club brothers?
I loved the cameos all of the previous characters played. Dax is still my favorite Prez of all time. I highly recommend this book!!
I loved Ryder’s story. There’s mystery, tension and a little fun (His full name is Ryder Moore, best road name ever) Ryder goes on the hunt for the culprits who robbed the bars takings and a hot romance is a surprise he had not anticipated. Storm was a feisty young woman, just trying to get by in her new job, she didn’t need any more trouble, but at times it followed her with a capital T. An exciting read, full of intrigue and mystery. The story is well written, the mystery enticing you to turn the page and continue reading. I loved meeting some of my favourite characters again (Dax being #1) and the romance is as steamy as ever. A definite must read!
This is the 12th book in this phenomenal series, and at last it is Ryder’s turn. When Ryder goes to pick up a deposit for the club, the last thing he expects it to walk into a robbery. Storm is the new girl, and is now the prime suspect. Ryder does not believe that Storm is guilty, and together they have to prove to the club that she is innocent. This is another all consuming must read from this talented author. I was completely intrigued and captivated throughout, and I cannot recommend this authors’ work highly enough for all MC lovers out there.
Love this series and this book didn't disappoint . Ryder and Stormy met awkwardly because she thought he was robbing the bar she worked at. When she found out he worked for the owner she felt bad plus both were drawn to each other. The bar did get robbed and Stormy was to blame because she was new but Ryder knew deep down she was innocent and had to prove it. Once he can hopefully prove her innocents he wants her for more than a little while but a lifetime now to convince her.
I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I enjoyed most of the characters. This is a book of compassion, kindness, patience, and just basically doing the right thing. Ryder and Storm wow what a match. Boy when she got mad she really created a Storm. She was a caring daughter though, she was trying to help her mom get out of her gambling debt. Even though things went awry for her on her job. As you know things turned out well in the end. Ryder and Storm made a great couple. Great read. I recommend this book to all romance readers.
This series hasn't been just about the actual members of the Southside Skulls, but about their friends, family, and others associated with the club. The stories have been wild, crazy, emotional, suspenseful, and some with unexpected twists that you'll never see coming. Overall, this has been a fantastic series, and one that I highly recommend. It would be best to read the series in order so that you can get the most out of each story, as well as the characters. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.
Ryder Moore known to his friends meets the new girl when she threatens to take his head off when he comes in the wrong entrance on her 1at week at work. That's moments before the armed robber takes a hostage out front. But things got bad to worse for Storm wen all fingers point it was her in on the robbery, Ryder just doesn't feel it though.
Won't say anymore don't want to spoil anything but oooooooh what a ride.
Looking forward to reading Wolf's story whose up next
Storm is being blamed for a robbery at the Southside Skulls bar. She’s the newest employee and she’s got a need for that kind of money. Ryder doesn’t believe she did it, but can he convince Dax before Dax rains down on Storm?
I liked this plot. I read A LOT of MC romance and sometimes I think the plots of some books are similar to the plots of other books, but this was new and different. 4 stars!
Ryder and Stormy hook up and she is worried about the consequences from the robbery that happened at the bar. Dax thinking she had something to do with it fires her. Ryder thinks she is innocent but he puts his foot in his mouth when he starts questioning her about her mom. From there they are on the road looking for her mom and discovering who planned the robbery and tried to frame Stormy and her mom. Pretty good read.
RYDER is one of the best in this series. Storm was strong and defiant. Loved her. Strong women throughout this series. Storm did not give RYDER an inch. She stuck to her guns. Ryder was putty in her hands. This was a fantastic story. A must read. Now bring on another book in this series.
Southside Skulls! This series is so worth the read. I have started the next one, but best to read this one first. If you love MC series, this one will keep you engaged from start to finish. I have no doubt you will enjoy it. Yummy alpha bikers, plot twists you won't see coming and HEA for every one of them.
A good story about a lady who gets accused of something she didn't do. Then Ryder falls in love with her and he takes one proving her innocence. The guilty party ends up unlucky too, her mom has her own issues and Ryder tries to sort it all for her. Good read... With some interesting back story too
Ryder and Storms story was awesome. She is accused of doing a robbery and Ryder makes it his mission to clear her name. He really steps up for her with the club and her mom. Fabulous writing. The storyline was great.
