Frankie was a completely normal pet goldfish . . . until Tom's evil-scientist big brother, Mark, tried to murder him with toxic gunge! Luckily Tom and his best friend Pradeep shocked Frankie back to life with a battery, and he's been their zombie-fishy friend ever since.

At the medieval re-enactment centre, some-fin very weird starts going on. One of the knights is acting very suspiciously . . . and Tom is sure he's seen his evil big brother's vampire kitten lurking around. Can Pradeep and Tom work out what Mark is up to without revealing Frankie's secret zombie skills?

In story two, what starts as a school trip to an archaeological site ends up with a monster on the loose - when Tom's and Pradeep's evil big brothers manage to clone a Jurassic carp! Can the boys and Frankie stop the monster from taking over the oceans . . . and the world?

"Originally from America, I moved to London because I wanted to live abroad but spoke no foreign languages. After a brief and unsuccessful stint as a serving wench at the Tower of London I found work as an actress and comedy performer. I’ve perfomed regularly at Edinburgh and London comedy festivals. A few years back I got a job touring around the UK as a storyteller and that’s when I discovered that kids liked, laughed at and didn’t fall asleep when I performed stuff that I wrote myself. I was hooked on writing and performing for kids..."

My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish quarter #1 choice book #1
Jurassic Carp story 2 written by Mo O'Hara is a fantasy book that takes in a school but then grows and moves to a bigger aquarium then the pool and gets bigger and bigger.
The main characters are Tom Paradeep Sami and Frankie. But they also have Mark Fang and Dr.Mcdoom.
The problem in the book is that Mark(Toms evil brother) has created the giant jurassic fish,(a replica of frankie) and it won't stop growing.
Part 2 of Juassic Carp is about a giant jurassic goldfish that has to keep being moved in to bigger bodies of water because it wont stop growing.
I really like this book because it is action packed and something new is always happening and they always find away to fix things and prove people wrong. Frankie can hypnotize people and control things you would have never imagined. Mark always finds a way to mass something up but best of all he never loses Frankie the great big fat zombie fish.

This is probably the most ridiculous of the series so far in terms of plans and plots, but it was quite enjoyable. These books are so weird, hilarious, and creative. They are great quick reads and are very unique.

In this book, the first story details the gang's strange experience at the medieval day reenactment. This one was pretty out there (there's no way that sling shot parachute plan would have worked), but it was still a fun story. Definitely not to be taken too seriously. The second story is a spoof of Jurassic Park with zombie goldfish, so obviously a good time.

Well-written, completely odd and enjoyable, with great illustrations that help break up the text and pair well with the narration. This book was a fun read and I'm excited to read some of the spin-offs featuring Mark and Sami.

The two-novellas-makes-a -book format threw me at first, but YOU try getting a nine/ten year old boy to read during quarantine. This one was a little more cerebral than most, but this is a great series with a funny premise and a great boy friendship worked in.

Two solid stories can be found in the 6th Zombie Goldfish book. The medieval-inspired tale was enjoyable, but it was the titular story that especially shined and was surprisingly touching.

This is another fun book -- and, sadly, the final book -- in this series, read with my 11-year-old son.

This book is about 2 kids named Tom and Pradeep. They are best friends. They both have evil scientist big brothers. When Tom's evil scientist brother comes to his school medieval day, they know something is wrong. There is a fishy looking night knight at the school doing the knight events. Is there a mystery to be solved about this mysterious knight night, or is he just a normal strange jerky knight? If you like hypnotic fish, vampire cats, evil scientists, and heroes of school. Then you will love this book. I gave this 5 stars for the nice plot and mysterious storyline. I suggest this book to anyone who likes goldfish and cats and evil plans.

The two stories in this zombie fish series feature Frankie and his two friends Tom and Pradeep once again. In the first story, the boys are on a field trip to a reenactment of a medieval competition, and they quickly see that one of the knights is too good to be true, stronger and more accurate than any knight has a right to be. Together, the three of them figure out what's behind that knight, and end up winning some prizes of their own. After all, when there's trouble, the boys' older brothers, Mark and Sanj, can't be too far away. The second story focuses on Tom's brother's efforts to clone Frankie into a prehistoric carp that grows by leaps and bounds. Fans of the series will be just as charmed by these two stories as they have been by the others. I found it amusing to watch Frankie move from one watery place to the other in the first story, and it was neat to watch Fang, Mark's vampire kitten, deal with her feelings of jealousy. Both stories are told with dollops of humor and are accompanied by illustrations that make the stories go down smoothly as readers can readily visualize the action and characters.
