The Eyewitness 'Top 10' travel guides are superbly put together. I have several of these for various locations and am never disappointed with the quality and tourist information provided. Divided into easily digested sections, giving advice on the Top 10 tourist attractions as well as things to do and must see sights by geographical area, places to stay, shop and eat. With additional hints and tips, as well as historical and cultural references, these guides are a must-have for any serious traveller.

This book gives you an overview of the top ten activities to do around Seattle.

Includes activities such as Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, or Pioneer Square.

Also, you will find the best place for coffee, delicious restaurants, or unique cafes.

Includes places to sail, cycle or take a ferry across the bay.

Children's activities include the locks, lakes, gardens, and a zoo.

The top ten lists include architecture, performing arts venues, attractions, shopping, dining, and off-the-beaten path ideas.

In the book, there are also maps, public transportation maps, and street indexes along with walking routes.

I will use this book to refer to when I explore Seattle.

I'm bummed that it's not a Kindle version but epub that I have to read on my phone or laptop. In the end, it was fine to read it on my laptop with Google Maps open and interesting places being marked as places to visit in my new area. Nice color pictures with a variety of places and information. I'm never interested in specific hotels, shops or restaurants unless they are particularly unique, so I always skim those pages. But there were unique suggestions that were not in other books, so that's nice.

This book may be my first DK Eyewitness Top 10 book. TBH, the city books by Rick Steve's are much better, but since he primarily focuses on Europe, I didn't have that as an option.

This book was fine. Nothing amazing, nothing bad. I didn't love the organization of it, but I can make it work. It did give me the information I was looking for, just kind of in a hodge podge manner.

We went on our first family vacation (that was longer than just 3 days) for 10 days back in Sept 2018 when my son was just 4 years old. It's still one of the most memorable trips we have had together to date. DK books are always reliable, whether you use them for travel or general information (son loves their encyclopedias, too). Our 5 yo still talks about the ferries, aquarium, and ocean (he enjoyed picking up huge pieces of kelp that washed up on the sand at Olympic).

We budget traveled on the "big" parts by using Air BnB, found cheap flights, ate a few Target meals in downtown but also ate more expensive stuff like the place where Harry and Sally ate, stayed near Olympic National Park for half the trip, too. Highly recommend these books! The internet is obviously great, but it's nice to unplug and utilize these books as an alternative to having your face in a screen. (I prefer reading physical books).

This summer? We are flying to Chicago for 4 days so that we can pay off things.....traveling all together is our favorite thing to do as a family, and even though we only go once a year, it's also fun to see our region on day trips, too, when we don't have to do those dreaded house chores 😊.

This was an ok jumping off point...but in this day in age, where a smart phone take up about the same about of space...offers more resources AND your camera and navigation, I was hoping for a book that gave me a little more REASON to want to explore the places it mentioned...it just lacked that the draw...

I've traveled with this guy and he's a complete idiot. He talks a lot but and thinks he knows everything, but he doesn't. Don't trust a word he says.

Contains lots of information, more than just a top 10. It does repeat some info in several chapters. Lots of sights to visit, info on places to eat, stay, etc.
