Why doesn’t anyone ever STAY?

Fair Warning … This isn’t a sappy romance. It’s not sweet. It’s far from anything you would want to imagine. This is a story to leave you feeling dirty.

Are you willing to stay the course all the way to the end?

Nothing about us is normal.

Nothing about us is natural.

Can love ultimately be defined in such ways, truly?

This is our story.

He is a hitman, the very one who took my family the night that changed us both forever. Something in my eyes stopped him from killing me. Something in my eyes called out for him to take me.

At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me.

Outsiders think he’s my father … That is so far from the truth.

Our twisted desires fuel the darkness that lies deep inside us both.

My innocence never existed, and he takes me as I am.

TITLE: Stay
AUTHOR: Chelsea Camaron
GENRE: New Adult
RELEASE DATE: September 7th 2015

MY RATING: 4 STARS!!

༺**This will be my first time reading something by this author..**༺

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: Fair Warning … This isn’t a sappy romance. It’s not sweet. It’s far from anything you would want to imagine. This is a story to leave you feeling dirty.

The reason I jumped on this when I saw it getting boomeranged over Facebook was the promise that it will deliver a dark read..So for that reason alone my expectations are high..

Wooohoooo Bring it!!

Ok here goes, for me this was by no means a dark read, but that is because I have read some dark stomach curdling step away from the ipad sick reads, some will find this dark but sick people like me won't BUT I still enjoyed this, was confusing at times, and it's not until the end really when we're privy to what really makes up "The Stranger" the ending I really didn't see coming but sitting down and thinking about it how fitting, it's also kind of left me wanting more, so for that and the unique way of which ending you can live with is why I'm rating this 4 stars..

Ummm yeah hmmmmm the story starts off pretty gut wrenchingly raw, a house holds so many secrets behind its walls, a father violates his ten year old daughter numerous times, sometimes with the added audience of a watcher, his wife, her mother, this story is not sugar coated..This story is told in her voice..

Mama and father always told me not to share the secrets of our home. The special secrets of our family were our own.

One Mississippi, exhale, Two Mississippi, inhale, Three Mississippi

An intruder dressed all in black from head to foot slaughters the residence within that household but saves, takes that ten year old girl..

At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me.

Now here is where it all kind of slowed down for me, I kind of wanted to feel more and it took her years to get all the answers she needed that were floating around in her head, I know she was ten when she went and lived with "The Stranger" but as the days, months, years transgressed I would've thought she'd start verbally voicing WHY..

Would he kill me? - Was one hell any better than the next?

Years Fallyn is under the roof of this man, living another lie

I’m a very bad man, Fallyn. I have done very bad things. Saving you was the only redeeming thing I have ever done in my entire life, a life that has cost me everything.

There are two epilogues—you can choose your ending.

That I have never seen by an author before, so I wonder if A is a HEA and B not such a HEA..

I'm not going to divulge any more about this book it's one of those books that you really need to one click and form your own opinions..

This was certainly nothing like what I was expecting but I adored it anyway.
"Stay" tells the story of one tragic little girl's redemption by a very unlikely saviour.
I didn't find this a particularly dark read but it definitely had undertones with the physical abuse of a young girl prior to her liberation from the hands of the people who should have been her fiercest protectors.
In this, it's Her Stranger that takes on the mantle of guardian and unexpected benefactor to a young Fallyn.
In her, this stone-cold hitman sees his second chance at protecting the innocence he still sees in her.
An almost second chance if you will after his life imploded so dramatically; ironically it's his angel (Fallyn) that gives him a purpose to live for; I say ironic because considering his initial intention it really is.
So I really loved this and honestly didn't see that ending; it took caught me completely unawares.
Though I do think considering Her Strangers need to protect her things would have gone down slightly differently than they did.
After everything that Giano had done to shield and protect her, I can't see him then subjecting his Angel to such tortures of the soul and scarring her with recurring memories for years to come; one thing was very apparent here her stranger loved her so deeply so I just can't see it myself.
That is my only reason for removing half a star here.
This is told all from Fallyn's POV and it was truly intriguing witnessing the slow metamorphosis from Fallyn to Angelina to the point the two identities merge into one whole new entity entirely.
I also loved the fact we are then treated to two epilogues an almost you decide scenario; I adored that and is it wrong that the darker of the two possibilities is definitely where my own choice was edging towards here.
So This isn't a rainbows and ribbons type of story, it isn't even a romance if I had to put a label on this it's all about loss, redemption and temptation, finding a reason to continue the daily struggle that is life.
But where there is darkness there is also light and I truly believe that Fallyn was this for Giano, his redemption; And in a way, despite the conclusion here these two were each other's, unexpected saviours, there for each other at a certain crossroads in life.
I'm actually welling up here just writing this review so deeply did this story touch my soul.
This is one bittersweet story that will stay with me for a while and am so very glad to see the author has decided to continue this enthraling saga I for one can't wait to see where this goes.
A warning before I go this does very briefly at the beginning portray a scene of Fallyn's abuse by her father; just thought I'd give a heads up in case anyone is triggered by this.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a review copy of "Stay" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions are entirely my own.

Definitely the odd ball here.

I loved the premise of this story, the way the characters grew, especially Fallyn/Angelina. Giancarlo was superbly portrayed. I loved him dearly. He was the epitome of a loving doting father, a brooding, intense and the calm before the storm, type of guy.

Even more so that this wasn't a sappy romance, but (not wanting to give the story away) there were parts of this book that didn't sit well with me. Along, with too much of a fatherly portrayal. In my mind, I honestly kept getting my own daddy flashbacks and that alone, was an eminent gross factor for me.

Other than Giancarlo, that ending was fabulous. The meaning and behind it and the impact was astounding. With all this said. This story simply wasn't for me.

Wow oh wow..
NO HEA here..
But a great story none the less with your choice of Epilogue ending!!
A dark romance readers fix!!!

Full Review Here..

This was a story of stolen innocence and a twisted need at redemption
It was about new beginnings and dark desires and ultimately an obsession that
lead to blood shed.
How can you not fall in Love with your captor when everything that you lacked,
were deprived of was provided by him?
Every nightmare comforted, every wish granted?
You'll have to read to see if you yourself wouldn't fall for this stranger!!

I DID!!!

Heart breaking and tragic is the only words to describe this book. There are no hearts and flowers, happy endings or illusions of one. For every action there is a reaction, for little girl lost Fallyn/Angelina.

That night, the darkness came again as I lay and waited.

One Mississippi.

Two Mississippi.

He would be here tonight. I knew it. I felt it. The red rim of his bloodshot eyes at dinner was the sign I had learned. It was my warning. It was the evidence of his overindulgence in what my mother called the occasional adult beverage. Only, with my father, it wasn’t occasional, and it was always more than one.

Even monsters have their days of reckoning, when evil meets them head on and brings them down to their knees. Stolen in the cover of darkness, little ten year old Fallyn's life forever changes from an unlikely hero. Giancarlo Diamante wasn't a savior, far from it. He'd done bad things, had blood on his hands, but if there was a way of gaining absolution or penance, he had to look no further than the child before him.

My life as Fallyn no longer existed on paper, so I had to know the concepts of two years within one to catch up to my new persona. Panic filled me because I didn’t know if I could do this.

I knew going into this there would be no HEA, so I think that helped me a lot with this story. I wanted there to be one for these two just as much as everybody else did, but knowing ahead helped me forgive that loss. This short story packed in so much in such few pages. I absolutely adored Giano's character and the loving way he raised Fallyn, after he saved her from her horrific father. Their relationship so slowly smoldered over the years, and the anticipation of them finally coming together was exquisite. This story sucked me in from the very beginning, and kept me enthralled until the end. This is my first read of this author, but definitely won't be the last.

Stay by Chelsea Camaron

This was a book I never put down once, it was very dark, horrifying, heart wrenching story to read, and I do know that not everyone would enjoy or be comfortable with some of the content but at the same time I think it's worth taking a chance.

Stay by Chelsea Camaron is well written, the story flows extremely well, I was amazed when I realized I was almost at the end of the book. The author has written a story where the bad guy ends up Fallyn's hero/savior.

When I finished the book I had to get online right away to see if there was more to come. At this point it is a stand alone. There is no happy ever after ending, but the endings are good, I did not feel like anything was missing. Great ending, will say I was surprised with the ending, but fantastic read!!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, abuse, laughs, secrets, despair, and heartbreak.

This is one girl’s story of the darkness that is her life. From the beginning you are pulled into the abuse and pain that is her life. You see her learn to grow and work through the pain and confusion. You can see how close the secrets have to stay. She learns to love and to move on from pain and abuse to something better. You also will have to deal with sacrifice as some people will know when they should stay and when they need to go. This story will pull you in and make you think everything is not always how it seems. Can you move on from a loss that is so great? Will some things you experience make you weak or stronger? You can decide by picking your very own ending.

I highly recommend this book.

I was absolutely gripped by this well written, horrifically dark but also beautiful read.

I was on the edge of my seat throughout but OMG I nearly died of shock at 75%!!! I really loved Giano, he was a true hero to save his angel and I believed him when he said

"For you, I'll always stay."

Ughh... He broke my heart :(

As for the epilogue's, Hmmm... I think I liked the first one more (why not!) but hoped there'd be one where what happened at 75% was another nightmare so that I could have a real HEA!

Chelsea Camaron is the queen of hot biker stories, and has completely branched out in this new dark romance. I didn’t know what to expect, but was pleasantly shocked at the dark and mysterious story of a little girl lost, trying to find her way back after years of pain and confusion.

Angel, as she becomes known as, was the victim of childhood abuse by her father, with her mother being an onlooker, doing nothing to save her. She knows nothing of a normal life, and endures the anguish of a twisted life for years, having to keep the family secret under lock and key.

One night changes everything, and she’s put in the grasps of Giano, but is he a savior or just another torturer? He has a dark past that involves losing his own family, and slowly transforms Angel into the daughter he lost. What will happen when Angel finds out the truth about Giano and why she’s really with him, or what truly happened to her parents.

This is a story with many twists and turns, involving debts being owed, murder, freedom, and possibly love? It’s also about finding the power and strength to overcome your demons, and make a life of your own, a life worth living out of the shadows of a broken past.

Stay is not your ordinary romance book. This book is filled with so much mystery, questions and just "WTF" moments!

It's a love story that develops over time and I'm still not sure if I'm completely 100% sold on loving these two characters and their relationship. But their story absolutely intrigued me and kept me reading to the very end. There were plenty of twists, turns and surprises.

As you know from the synopsis, the relationship between these characters is unconventional. It started out as a "kidnapping," but in a way it was a blessing in disguise. He became her savior and hero. But the secrets and mystery didn't add up, but their relationship grew over time.

Stay is hard to review, without spoiling it, but I can say that this author gives us two epilogues to choose from. And I actually loved both. This book is a quick read and filled with some dark moments and little hard to read because of the nature, but it was written tastefully and worked perfectly for this story.

I don't really know what I was expecting going into this, but this wasn't it. The romance is no where near traditional. The father/daughter (not by blood) relationship and the age difference definitely make it taboo, but there wasn't really a courtship going on. Stockholm syndrome happened without Giano trying to coerce or manipulate her into having feelings for him. He cared and it was all that mattered to Angelina. Being damaged and broken before he got her made it so easy for her to be emotionally attached in an inappropriate way. More than anything this was the story of a broken girl struggling to find her way in the world when she had many secrets to hide. The end was completely unexpected and shocking. Don't read this expecting happiness because you won't find it.

This book is a dark disturbing WTF book. It starts with Fallyn being abused by her father and her mother just not caring.
Only while her father is touching her does she wish for someone to be able to help her. She sees a savior standing with her father and he cuts his throat
The rest of the book is living a lie and trying to find a place among the world and battling the truths.

The blurb from this book grabbed me hard and I was so intrigued. A dark read? With a warning like that??

Hell yes sign me up! I am ready. This was my first read by this Author and her first time going to the “dark” side as it seems she writes a lot of biker books. I love me some hot bikers! Anyways onto this review.

Fallyn in no way, shape or form had a normal childhood. Actually you really couldn’t call it a childhood at all. She came from an extremely wealthy family, but they weren’t rich in any of the ways that really mattered. Behind the closed doors of their home lived nothing but secrets and lies. There was no love and worse of all in the dark twisted shadows of the night when her father would visit her room there was no one to protect her from his evil. This was her life until one night when a stranger came into her home and murdered her parents. For some reason he saved her, but would she ever know why?

“One Mississippi, exhale. Two Mississippi, inhale. Three Mississippi, exhale.”

At ten years old Fallyn was taken in the night by a stranger, now she is living in a pink lace room in a house where she is not free to roam. For months the routine in her new home stays the same, the stranger visits and leaves her food, but he doesn’t ask for anything in return. Having lived the life she did this really confuses Fallyn. She soon realizes the stranger who we learn is Giano doesn’t want to hurt her like her father did and the two form a bond. He helps her, gives her a chance at a new life.

“If only he wouldn’t let me go, if only he would want me to stay.”

Over time on we see things start to change between Giano and Fallyn or Angel as he calls her. She has always been attached to him since he saved her but as she grows into a beautiful young women she stars to want him in a different way. Giano also has a very hard time hiding his growing attraction to Angel and the two are teetering on a very thin line and when they cross that line everything changes, everything!

“For you, I’ll always stay.”

So while the writing in this book was really good and the storyline was unique I had a hard time with a lot of things. First while this book promised a dark read, overall it really wasn’t what I would consider that dark. I mean yes there were several dark, disturbing elements that fucked with my head but from the blurb I was hoping for more, for darker. Also I felt like parts of the story were way to rushed and confusing, maybe it would have been a longer read it would have given me more time to slow down and wrap my mind around things. I will say I absolutely loved both main characters. Angel was a fighter and it was so great to see her come into her own. Giano what can I say about him? I loved just loved him. A dark, mysterious, sexy, suit wearing hit man? Yummy.

Ok I know this book didn’t promise a conventional HEA and so I knew going in that the HEA wasn’t going to be all sunshine and roses but I in no way saw the curveball coming that the author threw at us. That fucker didn’t even come from left field, it came from another ballpark in another fucking country!! So yes in some stories I would applaud that shock factor, but in all honestly it didn’t work for me in this book and I almost had to DNF it at that point, but I made myself go on. I am being selfish because I am pissed off at the way things went? Maybe, but really I just don’t get it? To me it just didn’t work at all. I also discovered something I really don’t like while reading this book. I really do not like the option of having the choice of picking what epilogue to read! I want one, and I don’t want to make the choice! I guess I can see where some people might like it but this chick does not, that’s for sure! I read both, I had to since they were both there but neither changed the way I felt about the story.

What did I like? I liked the writing, the Author can definitely write. I also like the potential that the storyline had, and the fact that it was unique. The story as a whole and the direction it took just wasn’t for me. What did I love? I loved Giano, like a lot. He was a fantastic character, one of the best I have read in a while, both him and Angel were.

“At ten, he captured me. At fifteen, he consumed me. And at eighteen, he owned me”.

Ummm what did I just read? Is this real? Holy moly of Darkness! Okay first Chelsea Cameron read and she sure pop my virgin cherry nicely! I was completely blown away with Stay! The darkness behind Fallyn's world broke my heart. The ugliness she endured as a child stole my hope in humanity. I found myself losing pieces of my sanity throughout this read. In walks "stranger" to save the day? Maybe? Maybe not?

From one step to the next I didn't know what was going to happen. She was 10 when everything started to change in her world, how could this possibly turn out to be what I think it was going to be? Oh wait IT DIDN'T! She grew up but not as Fallyn! Weird? Yes, but you will have to read to find out. Her stranger soon became her savior, her everything. She wanted someone to stay. Fallyn didn't know what living a normal safe life was like. Could her stranger give her this after the things she saw that dark night?

Connections were made, minds were made up. Everyone always left her. She wanted someone to stay. Her mind was set that she would get exactly what she wanted on a certain day and it could either free her and give her everything she desired or it could splatter her heart and leave her questioning everything. Her stranger or no longer a stranger but a man that she wants to stay. But with the lies and betrayals can there truly be a happily ever after? My jaw dropped on the floor, my eyes exploded outside their sockets and I was shocked. Chelsea took the ending I had wrapped in a nice bow and splattered it. My mind was spinning circles, going left and right, I found myself blinking rapidly to see if what I just read actually happened. I wanted to bang my head against the wall. Everything shattered around me and I was left dumbfounded. Chelsea did it, she shocked me completely. The past, the reasons, the connections, the future, everything was different than what I have envisioned.

Sometimes the stories we read have a happily ever after. It may not be the one we envisioned as the reader but a different happy. Sometimes the guy gets the girl in the end and they make a beautiful life together, sometimes a persons reason for being thrust into your life was to save you or themselves from situations that could crush a persons soul. Love comes in different forms and love has many different meanings, I experienced all of those things in Stay. Chelsea opened my eyes and taught me that it's not about whether a person leaves your life or if they stay but what they do in between the time of entering and leaving. Nobody really stays forever, we all move and this is that story. Stay will make you think hard about happily ever afters, it will make you experience a different kind of happy. I am hooked. This will not be my last Cameron read. If you love dark romance with twists and turns and lessons to learn than Stay is what you need to read. Because this story, these characters even though they have left me they are in my heart and that's where they will Stay!

Totally Awesome and Heartbreakingly Good!

I read and reviewed my personal copy of this book for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Going in to this book I wasn't sure what to expect but I can tell you that I was pleasantly surprised and heartbroken all at the same time.
Fallyn/Angel lived a terrible life for a child of only 10 years old. Parents should always keep us safe, not put us in the middle of danger. She will learn that her father was not who she thought her was.
Giano has lost so much but he has found his salvation in Angel. By sparing her life, he is saving them both.
Can they both make the lie believable? Will Angel accept her new life with Giano? What happens if the lie is found out?
I love Chelsea Camaron and her writing style. And her MC stories are drool worthy but this story is another level for her and I feel that she rocked it. This story is dark to a certain point but not too dark, heartbreaking, painful and will make you cry. I loved everything about it. Well done Chelsea.

Sick, twisted and dark! yes it was fantastic. The way it's written is comparable to Lucky Santangelo and probably a lot of Belva Plain, that is dating me I know but...I'm so proud of Chelsea and her writing I see another bestseller!! I would love to say I am jumping up and down but I am not. I will celebrate the fact that this author is TALENTED . The novel is dark and I love that. The subject matter is not easy to read for a lot but I DO love dark. This opens with a seriously sick scene of incest. I was thinking about how many times lately I could do my own drinking game: Every time you see a description with billionaire, take a shot NOW every time you see the description with alpha male, chug! GO
I know this is not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but most people who follow me or my blog will know I love controversy and dark, so this is a ten on both scales. I am sad it is a stand alone cause there is a lot of character development that would be good for more.
If you are a Chelsea fan PLEASE read this cause it will knock your socks off and shock you, its different. Think of Captive in the Dark meets a Jackie Collins novel. GREAT book

What can I say about this other than I loved it. Chelsea really hit it out of the ballpark with going outside of her norm. This book will grab you and have you trying to figure out what's going on. You will be on a roller coaster and be made to feel dirty and question why you want certain things to happen with the characters. You might end up crying too; I know I sure did. I loved this book because Chelsea gave my emotions a hell of a ride. I keep saying this but her writing keeps getting better and better it's fantastic watching her rise. Read this book you will not be disappointed if you enjoy dark reads.

I like a dark read. I was a little concerned in reading the description/reviews that this might be more yucky than dark. I thought it was well written. I liked the story. I was never bored. It was dark.; it was disturbing, but I really liked it. I wish the whole book would have been longer.
