My Thoughts....
I love this story! It was quite interesting how this author brings these two [Gerard Brandt and Teegan Dean] together. With Gerard having lost his brother [Gabriel] in a 'tragic accident' we find that Gerard had left home and also giving up his title as a Alpha who was a blood descended from Germany and a prominent line of lycanthropes. Why had he left Silverton, Oregon? Now Gerard is back home in Silverton and their he meets the 'the alluring Teegan Dean.' What was it about her that he felt he needed to keep her safe? What dark secrets did Teegan have that she felt so 'unworthy of Gerald's protection?'
We find from the read that two clans 'the Brandt's known for their unscrupulous manipulation and the Hok'ees know or their notorious murders, lies and deception' had been enemies for centuries. Why was this? What will happen as 'the Heads of each clan meet in order to cease a impending war?'
How is it that Teegan Dean will be the 'key to one pack's destruction and is also the strength to the other?' Will Teegan be able to except her life as it is now that she is with Brandt? Will Brandt be able to prove to Teegan that she is a good person in spite of what all she had been through and that she is worthy of his protection?
There will be a lots going on in this well written paranormal story that these authors give the readers. Be ready for some very well developed and defined characters in this read from Gerard, Teegan, along with Sylvia, Odessa, Mato, Hanna, Eddie, Adrian, Tony, Kano, Remy, Damien, Phillip, Celia, Melinda, Brianna, Adrian, Donald, Dr. Weinstein, Eleonora, Vincent Brandt, Sheriff, James, Rhonda, Juanita Cross, Xavier Walter, Seke, Costantino Dioli, Dassan, Liliana, Ms, Everly, Ward, Rebel, Landon, Kilian, Rendal, Phillip and I am sure I have missed someone. However, all of these characters were well played and so very believable in one way or another giving this read of werewolf's, shapeshifters, witches and sorceress such a captivating and entertaining read that will keep your attention as you are turning the pages for more.
To get all of the answers you will have to pick up "An Alpha's Captive" to find out to the above questions and so much more... like in the end will these two Gerard and Teegan get their HEA? As I said earlier I loved this paranormal romantic story and the book cover is beautiful!

Teegan Dean moved from location to location every 6 months, keeping a low profile and not drawing attention to herself. It had been two years since she left Eddie behind; now he was calling to tell her he expected to find her on the porch when he made it home from prison. But she had left the area and would never go back. A group of Harley bikers rode up her drive since Teegan could fix anything better than any other mechanic could. But then another rowdy group of bikers on dirt bikes rode up for a total of 22 men and Teegan. She didn’t like Kano’s arrogant swagger or the way he looked at her and acted as if he owned her. So she showed him her gun and asked him to move on.
Gerard Brandt was back in Silverton due to the death of his brother. He was trueborn, a full-bred lycanthrope who had given up his alpha title many years before. As Head Alpha, he would have dominion over the West Coast clans from Canada to Mexico. His biggest headache, though, was the Hok’ee Clan. He pulled his Range Rover to the side of the road and shifted to find his pack whom he knew would be on a run. Then he went to see Remy, a human who had shared a cabin with his deceased brother, Gabriel. Remy had called him to see what he wanted done with Gabriel’s stuff. Remy directed him to the mechanic to get the bike. Gerard was very attracted to Teegan, which was odd because he normally avoided humans.
Unknown to Teegan, she was a witch whose mother had made sure her talents were hidden. The Hok’ee pack had always bred with witches to create powerful offspring. Now that Kano’s sorceress had unmasked Teegan for what she was, Kano intended to claim her that night at Brianna’s party. Teegan had planned to leave town the next day, so Brianna made sure she would come to her party. Would Kano have his way and force her to be his possession? To have his pups? And could she defend herself, being unaware of her own potential power?
This author is excellent at creating believable characters that the reader will remember and react to. Even the secondary characters stand out. Capturing the reader’s emotions also makes sure the story line becomes real and matters, while the struggle for power between the two clans escalates. The suspense keeps things moving along as the reader is unsure of Teegan’s fate. Don’t miss this one – it will keep those pages turning into the night! It’s a good one!

DON'T ROCK THE BOAT!!!
Man, I'm just going to put it out there. This is one read that hooks you from the beginning and reels you in for the duration. These two authors appear to have a multi layered connection that it seems their of one mind. They effortlessly pull us into their imagination and create a world around us until everything else ceases to exist. They invent characters that are realistic and on point as to appear life like and relatable. These two ladies charge in with a whole new approach. This viable technique keeps us engaged as we bond with the well developed and relatable people. With such splendid personalities that takes realism to a whole new level. Such spectacular personalities grow and transform beautifully into the individuals and the roles they were created for. Scene descriptions are so vividly detailed as it all comes together perfectly as they flow smoothly into an incredible backdrop that works beautifully. They don't scrimp, rush or botch the tale in the process of bringing it to a close. It shows just how talented they are and motivated to take us on an adventure. Twists and turns abound with such realism it feels like your part of the tale. Amarie and Deanna did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job ladies, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

This is the first book that I've read by Amarie Avant about werewolf's and so far so good, I will say that it left me feeling that I wanted more! This is the story of Gerard Brandt and Teegan Dean. Gerard was the alpha of his pack until he stepped down because he didn't feel "like" himself. Teegan is a runner through and through, she is running from her past (a past that is as troubled as the young woman is). They meet over a bike and from there it was up hill. I loved the chemistry between the two. Teegan's past is shrouded in mystery and it finally comes to light that she is a witch and her "smell" was bound by her mother to protect her, because the werewolf's were known to blind the Dean family to make more hybrid werewolf's. Teegan found herself in such a situation when Gerard saved her. Boy, I think I just gave the whole book away...well not quite. So if you want to read what happened to Teegan and Kano Hok'ee (the werewolf clan that blinds witch's to breed for them) or even Teegan and Gerard please pickup a copy of this book.

Wow, could not put this book down. So much going on. We have Teegan who has been on her own for so long. She steals, lies, and never stays in one place for long. Gerard is a vet, who left his pack to have peace. He never wanted to be alpha, even thou he is one no matter how much he runs from it. Gerard’s brother passes away and he goes home and meets Teegan and wants to know more about her no matter how much they fight. Teegan goes to a party of Kano’s and doesn’t know he wants more from her. When Gerard finds out he goes to get her and all hell breaks out. What will happen? Will Teegan get away? Will Gerard be able to save her? What happens when Teegan finds out she is a witch? Can she accept it? Can she let Gerard in to her life? I received an arc copy for my honest review.

Wonderful Paranormal Romance
This was an amazing read both Author wove a wonderful captivating tale. Gerard and Teegan had amazing off the charts chemistry but where she was weak and requireds support he stepped right in to provide her that and she did the same for him. He is a Alpha through and through but she is also sharp tongued and quick wit because she is a survived and had to rely on herself for so long. However with Gerard she was able to let her guard down cause he was strong enough to carry them both and protect them from the danger that came there way. Great book and way to start a series so well but together can't wait for part 2 of this series

A thoughtful Werewolf Hmm
I will just have to eat crow! I am such a fan of Amaire Avant books, when she posted on her FaceBook page about this book and that it was about Werewolves,well I wasn't sure if I would buy. Well my fears were unfounded. This is amazing.If your one of those people who believe they there is that one perfect soul that your meant to be with you than this book is for you.I can't wait until part 2 comes out to see what their happy ever ever after turns out to be.

Love
What is it about love that makes us forgot and forgive. This story was truly well written and Beautifully told. Teegan grow up thinking that she was unlovable because her Mother abandoned her. Not so the case. She was only protecting her from some very ummentionable people. What's not to a Mother's love for her child. Her and Gerald was meant to be together. I love the Chemistry, and his protective streak he has for her. Amarie I love this book, and can't wait for book 2..And the inserts on the last two books was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

***Attention authors****Please step away from the ambiguous heroine. I can't even describe this heroine's background- Black, White, Native American, Hispanic? All I know is that she randomly had pink nipples but is described as dark features. I don't know any women of color with pink nipples. Overall the story was interesting, hopefully the next book will give the heroine way more background and description.

This story captured my attention from the beginning to the end. I love Gerard and Teegan together and what he did to protect her. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Kano bcuz he felt entitled. I would recommend this book if you are into fine A@# wolves. I hope the next installment is not a long wait bcuz, I am dying to fine out what happens next.

I enjoyed this book. The story was pretty cool and I loved the action. Gerard and Teegan had great chemistry which was definitely a plus. I don’t recall Ms. Avant writing any paranormal books before, but I think she did a pretty good job. Thumbs up!

Incomplete
The story started out entertaining and very interesting. Unfortunately after the first few chapters things began to be disjointed. Ending was very weak to many questions left unanswered such as what became of kano? Where were her brothers? What happened with her ex-boyfriend when he got out of jail? What about the murder charge? TOO many loose threads.

While I liked the story, it had quite a few problems. The writing was disjointed and did not flow smoothly, punctuation errors and repetition. So I will probably read the next one, hopefully it will be better.

The story is worth 5. The editing is worth 0. I received an ARC. I have it on good authority that the editing issues are being addressed so, once that is done, I would highly recommend it. The story and characters are wonderful.

This was a great story. It started a little slow but then it built like a forest fire.
It has a well construct world that is vividly conveyed and characters that make you love or hate them.

I wish Gerard's father wasn't so cruel but maybe that's why he is still alive after all this time and I'm glad Kano was scared enough to back off of Teegan. I never suspected Teegan was Odessa's daughter.

Interesting Shifter Story
Good story but felt more action needed between the packs. The conflict was there but no action occurred. Nothing ever came of Teagan’s partners in crime story so why add it. More needed on the occult.
