Six Easy Pockets

Rate this book
Pool shark Jessie Hewitt likes to call the shots. But apparently her two best friends didn’t get that memo. Candy Poppe has taken up with the wrong man. And Karen Sembler? She’s been kidnapped! Jessie’s no-nonsense husband, Wilson Rye the cop guy, suggests she leave the crime-solving to the experts and the love lives to those involved. Does Jessie listen? Take a guess.

Six Easy Pockets is loaded with all the humor, mayhem, and mystery Cindy Blackburn’s fans have come to expect. But this one also includes a millionaire, a mansion, and a princess! Enjoy!

I waited so long for this book, but it was sure worth the wait. It is funny, mysterious and it kept me wondering who kidnapped Jessie’s friend up to the very end. I highly recommend this book!

Jessie is at it again in one of Blackburn's A Cue Ball Mysteries. She is snooping.

Receiving a telephone phone call on a landline from a wealthy friend who "Misplaced" his girlfriend, Jessie is distraught because the person misplaced is her 'Girlfriend' also. The mystery begins when she, the by day Romance writer, goes to the estate that is humongous, her words not mine.

Wilson, Jessie's hubby, does not get involved until her and another detective cannot come to grips with the missing person event, and the investigation becomes a deadly one. The large staff at the estate, family members, and Jessie's condo friends are in the overall whodunit episodes.

The enjoyable way Ms. Blackburn brings her characters alive, including the villain, downplays the crime a bit but has the reader loving the main characters including the cats. Jessie, as in other Blackburn mysteries, ends up in the final act that is somewhat comical and deadly at the same time.

Will the villain come to justice? Only by reading this fun novel will you find out.

Six Easy Pockets, book 6, Cue Ball Mystery series by Cindy Blackburn. The latest addition to this ENTERTAINING series is Finally available. Jessie Hewitt, a sardonic and mature woman, is a former pool shark. Lover of Korbel champagne. Writer of historical romances, under the name “Adelé Nightingale". Married to Homicide Det. Wilson Rye. She is also part of a trio of not so amateur sleuths. She is #1. Of #2 and #3....one is busy and the other, kidnapped?!?! Cindy Blackburn takes readers on a Laugh out loud adventure!!! Full of marvelous twists and turns. A bit of romance hoping for happy ever after... A Must Read!!! Cover to cover action and fun. Each book can be read as standalone. But the main characters leave readers wanting an on going relationship. I read this book/series on Kindle Unlimited. Cindy Blackburn's Cassie Baxter series is also A Must Read!!! More creative humor, romance and who done it mystery.

There is little more exciting than when one of your favorite series has a new release. Six Easy Pockets in A Cue Ball Mysteries by Cindy Blackburn is one of those. This time we find Jessie looking for friend Karen Sembler who has apparently been kidnapped. Cue in (pun intended) millionaires and a mansion where everyone seems to be more suspect, along with a murder. Jessie and her “Dearheart”, hubby Detective Wilson Rye have their work cut out for them. There is lots of laughter and a few gasps as they mystery unfolds.
Bravo Cindy for another great book and deserves more than five stars!

Very cute book 6

I enjoyed this book more than the last book for several reasons. Jessie was back in her home setting and with her quirky friends. Also, Jessies’s extremely silly and irritating agent was not in the story. There’s a big difference between silly and funny. After the last couple of books with the agent screaming throughout, I almost didn’t buy this one. I am glad I did.

"Six Easy Pockets" is a great addition to Cindy Blackburn's Cue Ball Mystery series.
When one of Jessie Hewitt's closest friends goes missing, Jessie is determined to find her. She's convinced Karen has been kidnapped and the list of possible suspects grows longer every day.
Humor, a touch of romance and an intriguing mystery!

Returning to the cozy mysteries genre after some intense thrillers was a welcome change.
I had so may LOL moments. I loved how Cindy makes everyone so likable and includes even the cats in the discussions. It did keep me guessing till the end.

Always fresh and funny.

What would you do if one of your best friends got misplaced and your husband was a homicide cop? You try to find her and that is how things go wrong. Jessie needs all hands on deck to find her friend who has been kidnapped.

A Cue Ball Mystery book

This is another good book in this series. It has an interesting storyline with a good mystery to figure out. The main character is an author & you get an incite into the book she’s writing which adds another aspect to the story.
