The beginning two-thirds of the book was like the old guideposts and the stories were encouraging. The last third dipped into stories about Catholicism and paranormal activity which was very unusual and somewhat strange.

Unfortunately a total miss match in terms of what I thought this book was, .. I enjoyed the original chicken soup book which led me to this one, and also a fan of the 2 authors work

However this seems targeted to the one religion vs universal faith I Thot it was... Or least until the point I stopped listening...

- constant pitches of accepting JESUS and so on ( which is fine by the way for the right audience and not do I have a problem with or other faiths)

But good old UNIVERSAL stories of faith regardless of inner beliefs would have helped, or the title clearer

Good authors anyway...

Good

It's a good read to regain your lost confidence, hope and prayers. Later on, it becomes slightly boring, but still good keep faith in prayers.

Good part about this book is, you might want to read it over a period of time when you go through tough patch, God forbid. But, you can get in touch with it and very much there to connect with Almighty.

A typical collection of feel-good stories. Always good for "between novels" reading. I would read a couple of stories in between deeper novels. I will say, this was a nice assortment of topics, unless most Chicken Soup books.

Chicken soup for the soul is the best series/books/stories I came across. Every single story is heart warming, soul touching and way grounded for me to truly absorb its simplicity.
Whenever I start to shake on my beliefs, this book builds a vote of confidence in me. So thank you CSS.

A wonderful collection of stories of faith. Many are told in a dramatic fashion--all are sincere. My favorites were "The Altar Boy," "An American Beauty," "Salvation in Sarajevo," and "Stormy Delivery."

Read with a handkerchief.

Most stories were heart-warming and encouraging. A few were annoying because the author was into hocus-pocus stuff and don't understand God or faith at all. A good read tho.
