Lots of cheese, some laughs, some tears, some hope and an increased desire to serve. About what a Christmas read should be.

A book of short stories. Some happy, some sad, some inspiring. Fun to pick up and read a few stories daily through the holidays.

I love these books.... Mostly just the Christmas ones, but I still love them... I like being able to sit and read something short and usually uplifting (minor exemptions being sad stories)... I do miss the little cartoon they used to put between chapters though.

I found this pretty well arranged, and out together.... A bit for everyone....

Reading A Chicken Soup For The Soul Christmas edition has become a tradition for me. I’ll usually begin reading in November. Sometimes I read 1 or more each day leading up to Christmas. These joyful, heartfelt and sometimes heartbreaking stories ground me. The true meaning and spirit of the holiday is depicted in each carefully crafted story.

I would give this book a 3.5. There are some good stories in Chicken soup for the Soul:Christmas Cheer. This particular book is more of a best of Chicken soup books but together. Like all the Chicken soup books it is divided into sections. I liked some of the stories better than others. a good one to read at this time of year.

I feel bad since this has so many 5 stars but I wasn't really into this book. The stories were okay. Some were real good but not enough of them. It's a shame because I love Christmas and usually the stories that go with it. I think this entire book was just too much of the same. These stories were mostly ones just taken from the other Chicken Soup books and put into this one. That in itself wasn't a bad deal but it was repetitive.
As for the actual stories, I just didn't really like that many. There were a few of the typical redemption at the holidays kinds, death around the holidays, etc. I don't know. I don't want to get into the stories because there were just so many (101!) and I would spoil them if I said anything about any of them.
I think that if you are a big fan of the series and you haven't already read the Christmas ones, you may like this book a lot. It's not horrible. I think it just wasn't for me.

I love the Chicken Soup books. Most of the short stories are very touching and uplifting. I listened to these stories from CD's from the library. These are good stories to read before Christmas. Many of the people's stories related tales of loved ones who had died, lost their jobs, etc. The people learned to make the most of it, and finds the real meaning of Christmas.

This book was filled with short stories of hope as people made it through Christmas during different situations. Situations where they were struggling with something in their lives. Christmas allowed them to find the way to continue.

Makes you very grateful for what you have and shows that being "rich" is definitely relative! Reinstates belief in Christmas miracles... they do happen!

A little too cheesy for me. Plus the narrator's voice was annoying me, so it defeated the purpose of being Christmas cheer for me.
