Dawn Dix-Beaumont has her hands full with three young children, a husband who works from home and the guinea pig family that lives in her garden. She’s happier than she’s ever been, but is it too good to last?

Camilla Dix is madly in love with local vet Tom Stone. Being with Tom and cuddling her baby niece have stirred feelings she didn’t know she had, but it’s far too soon to be making long-term plans. Isn’t it?

Honey Blackwell’s boyfriend, Dane Ackerman, has secured his teaching post at Heatherlea Primary School and they’ve decided to live together. Everything seems to be working out well, until a member of Honey’s household expresses a clear dislike for the handsome teacher.

Plus someone has been planning a proposal…

Join Allie and her friends this summer as cakes are baked, secrets are shared and surprises bring smiles and tears at The Cosy Cottage Café.

We are once again back in the little village of Heatherlea in the fifth book in the Cosy Cottage Café series. This book is full of surprises and features all of the characters from the previous four books, all of which were a delight to read.

There are plenty of shocking moments and even more moments to smile about, especially with one of the villagers getting the surprise of a lifetime, though she isn’t sure whether the surprise is good or bad and another getting a proposal of marriage, but will she accept?

We also get to find out why Allie’s daughter fled London and into her arms at the end of the last book, ‘Spring at the Cosy Cottage Café’. I certainly didn’t see the reason coming and felt very sorry for the young girl.

This has been an amazing series and this book I would say is the best of the best. I enjoyed all the characters being together and each adding to their own stories. I’m wondering whether this is the last we will see from the village seeing as the year is now up, or whether Ms. Griffith’s will add more. I’ll wait with bated breath.

If you are looking for a series that you can really sink your teeth into that has fabulous characters, a beautiful rural setting and plenty of cake to go around, then this is definitely the one to choose.

Allie, Dawn, Camilla and Honey are best friends and they regularly meet at Allie's Cosy Cottage Café to catch up. They're all madly in love. Change is coming though, will they each be able to hang on to their good fortune and crazy happiness?

When Allie's daughter Mandy returns with a broken heart Allie is worried about her, what has happened and can Allie comfort Mandy, so she'll be ready to face the world again? Dawn's three children are keeping her busy, her husband is at home more and they've finally found a rhythm that works, will they be able to keep it up? For Camilla feeling safe is important, she's never seen herself as the maternal type, but looking after her little niece makes her feel something she's never felt before, does she dare to allow those emotions? Honey has finally found the man of her dreams, but she has quite a household, will he be able to fit in? Love is in the air for each of them, but who will receive a proposal?

A Wedding at the Cosy Cottage Café is a wonderful story filled with friendship, family and unconditional love. I love the Cosy Cottage Café, it's such a delightful setting and the atmosphere is exactly right. It was fun to read about Allie, Dawn, Camilla and Honey again and I enjoyed finding out what happened after declaring their love for the men of their dreams. There's always something going on in their lives and I loved each new twist and turn. Rachel Griffiths has written another amazing book and I'm glad I had the chance again to read about these four fabulous friends.

Someone's getting married and I was incredibly curious to find out who it would be. Rachel Griffiths has a heartwarming writing style that's laced with humor, which suits her story incredibly well. She writes about relationships with wisdom and lightheartedness, which is a great combination. Her detailed descriptions of her setting, her main characters and every (small) adventure in their lives are always incredibly entertaining. I really loved A Wedding at the Cosy Cottage Café, it's a fantastic feelgood read.

I have spent a whole year in the lives of these friends and it’s been great catching up with them all again here in A Wedding at The Cosy Cottage Café. They are all now in their happy places but there are still a few things that ccould threaten the happy ever after for these girls! But here we are, back in Heatherlea, to see who is getting married! And guaranteed, it looks like it’s going to be a “rocky road” to happiness (see I’ve started thinking about the cakes already! It’s no wonder I struggle with my diet when Rachel Griffitha has a new book out!)

I have adored this series so far and A Wedding at The Cosy Cottage Café is no exception. I’ve got to know this group of friends as if they were my own over the last 4 books and catching up with them was like going out for coffee, cakes and a catch up as we see how they are coping with their lives. And as we approach the lead up to the wedding, there is love, drama and laughs aplenty not to mention the most delicious cakes and baked goods to make your mouth water and your stomach grumble!

You can’t help but smile when you read Rachel Griffiths stories of family, friendship and romance. She just writes so beautifully, bringing her characters to live with a vibrancy and joie de vivre that envelopes you totally. I adore them all and it was wonderful to have them all together again.

A highly recommended series!

How nice it is to be back in The Cosy Cottage Cafe with everyone! This time there is drama, romance, friendship and quite simply - just happiness! This entire series has been absolutely delightful and I've enjoyed every novella - enjoying the cafe more every time I return. Rachel Griffiths has a way of completely drawing you in and this novella is no different.

Even though there is quite a few in the series, you could read them as a standalone as well as each time they focus on someone/something different. I would say though that I would recommend you reading them all in order as you get the most out of the characters and the storylines that way! The underlining theme is the friendship between the women and I must say that it was absolutely lovely to read about.

Reading these novels are a great and enjoyable way of spending a few hours and I would definitely recommend it. You'll end up feeling all happy and bubbly afterwards! They're such feel good and heartwarming novella's and I love that. Why would you not want to read a book that makes you feel all happy and warm inside?! There are funny moments, romantic ones, and in this one especially, quite emotional moments.

It was an absolute joy to read and I have enjoyed every page. Thank you to Rachel Griffiths for a copy of this novel, which I have reviewed, as always, honestly.

I love a wedding; the romantic proposal and the build up to the big day of celebrations but when you have four loved up couples in the village of Heatherlea which one of our couples is getting married?
This story follows on from book 4 (Spring at The Cosy Cottage Café) to when Allie's daughter has returned home distraught. Allie is trying to comfort her daughter and work out what has happened.
Whilst Allie is in talks with her daughter Dawn makes an upsetting discovery which is very sad but the author Rachel Griffiths has cleverly written around this storyline turning it into something quite wonderful.
Camilla also has concerns regarding decisions to her future and is so flummoxed about it all she inadvertently involves another one of our couples which turns into some amusing scenes.
A Wedding at The Cosy Cottage Café is another wonderful instalment in the idyllic setting of The Cosy Cottage Café were friendship, community spirit and love is the key to happiness all washed down with tea and cake.
I would wholeheartedly recommend reading all the books in the series in order to fully appreciate and enjoy the reading experience of this gorgeous cosy romance series. The books in order are:
Summer at The Cosy Cottage Café
Autumn at The Cosy Cottage Café
Winter at The Cosy Cottage Café
Spring at The Cosy Cottage Café
A Year at The Cosy Cottage Café – an anthology of the first four books in the series
A Wedding at The Cosy Cottage Café

I have to start by saying how much I have loved reading this series there is such a wonderful heartwarming feeling with each and every story that is sure to put you in a good mood. I would say that each book can be read as a standalone but you really are missing out on getting to know each character individually. So I would recommend starting with book one just so you can enjoy every single moment!

In this story we get to see how Allie, Dawn, Camilla and Honey are getting on as they deal with parenting issues, love and just life in general. Then of course in regards to the title of the book there is a wedding that was both beautiful and emotional especially after I had spent time getting to know the characters.

One of the best things about this series is the beautiful friendship that this group share they always manage to make me smile and usually you will find me giggling away at some of their antics. I adore books that can make you forget your worries or if you have had a bad day will just wrap you up in a lovely warm bubble. This is definitely one of those books!

A Wedding at The Cosy Cottage Café has a beautiful charm that will pull you right in with engaging characters and a truly uplifting story. I have to admit I will miss my trips to Heatherlea!

Five stars from me!

With thanks to Rachel Griffiths for my copy.
