A set of identical twins, a pair of paramedic partners, and the mistaken identity that could cost both twins their chance at happily-ever-after...
Jazzy Fuller has always been overshadowed by her prettier, more popular twin, Fabiana. While Jazzy hasn't been on a date in almost a year, Fabi has to schedule weeks out just to accommodate all the invitations she gets. She meets paramedic Max Robinson at the park and sets a date with him only to come down with the flu.
So she convinces Jazzy to cut her hair and take her place on the date. And the spark between Jazzy and Max is hot and instant...if only he knew she wasn't her sister, Fabi.
Max has been married once before, but he now spends his time playing the guitar and taking care of his little sister's exotic bird. He drives the ambulance for the town of Brush Creek with is partner Ed Moon, and neither of them have been all that lucky in love.
Until Max suggests to who he thinks is Fabi that they should double with Ed and Jazzy. They do, and Fabi is smitten with the steady, strong Ed Moon, who's come to Brush Creek to help take care of his sister and her family after a devastating accident. As each twin falls further and further in love with their respective paramedic, it becomes obvious they'll need to come clean about the switcheroo sooner rather than later...or risk losing their hearts. Will Fabi and Jazzy find the courage and faith to reveal their true identities? And when they do, will Ed and Max forgive them?

Fabiano (Fabi) and Jazzy Fuller were twins that lived together. Fabi has a date with Max Robinson and had to cancel twice before. Now she has the flu and asks her twin sister to take her place so he doesn’t think she does not want to go out with him. Jazzy has to change her hair completely and refuses at first, but then agrees. Jazzy and Max have a connection and really hit it off. Max’s paramedic partner Ed asks Max to set him up with Fabi’s twin. Little does Ed know he is going out with Fabi and not Jazzy as Jazzy wants to see where her relationship can go with Max.
This is a cute Christian story. Jazzy and Fabi are very close and do things for each other when needed. Jazzy feels bad about the mix up with the names and has to tell Max. Max had been married five years ago which cause some trouble with Jazzy and him. Surprisingly the biggest problem is a bird! I liked how the twins found two male best friends to go out with. Ed and Fabi had to go through a few trials too. I enjoyed the book, and encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
I received a free copy and am voluntarily leaving a review
Another great book by Liz. Loved it. OMG This is a wonderful story. I laughed about the girls switching places but knew when Jazzy told Max the truth and Fabi didn't tell Ed right away it was not going to go well for her. I also wondered if Max was really ready to be dating when his house shouted he was still living in the past. Max and Ed react very differently when the girls tell them about the switch. Max basically says "OK, no big deal because it is you I got to know" and Ed walks away and feels betrayed and lied to. Will he be able to forgive the real Fabi? What happens when Max is supposed to go to the family dinner and cancels because of his sister's bird? Jazzy then leaves the family dinner and nobody can get ahold of her for a couple days. Will both sisters be able to work out their relationships? Will Max get out of living in the past and the house his ex-wife decorated and will he be able to get rid of his sister's bird? Will Jazzy ever come back and be able to forgive him? Will Ed be able to forgive Fabi for lying to him and will he give her time to explain the whole thing?
A sweet clean romance. A nice, quick, easy read. The description of the book refers to "mistaken identity", but this was more of deception. Not necessarily malicious, but deceptive none the less.
Both couples worked through the issue in different ways, which was interesting. Initially, I got no sense of Jazzy and Fabi being anything other than flighty twins. I as surprised that after the stunt Jazzy pulled that she felt so injured by what Max did, especially without even having a conversation with him. Gabi and Ex's situation was a little more understandable. Max and Ed also had a bit of friction in their relationship to work through.
Ultimately you end up with an HEA. I'm conflicted. This book wasn't bad, but there are others in the series that I liked better.
In A Partner for the Paramedic by Liz Isaacson she gives us identical twins (Jazzy and Fabi Fuller), trading places, deceit and love. When Fabi gets sick and can’t make her date and has cancelled twice and didn’t want to cancel a third time, she convinces twin, Jazzy to go in her place. Jazzy and Fabi, but they were nothing alike, in appearance or personality. But some changes to Jazzy to make her look more like Fabi and off she went to see Max Robinson. Max learns that dating can be an adventure (especially when there are two playing as one) and three can be a crowd.
Liz Isaacson has written a short, sweet romance. The Fuller family is well named. I’m enjoying reading about all of the different siblings and their romances. The family relationship is close-knit. I like the main characters in this story, flaws and all. The pace of the story is good; it doesn’t drag anywhere. I plan to read more of Liz Isaacson’s work. I received an ARC. I chose to write a review to share my opinion.
Fun, little switch-it-up romance. The flirty premise sets the backdrop for a sensitive and thoughtful look into the hearts of the twins. All their lives they have been compared, constantly together, but beneath the outward appearances beat two very different hearts. I am really enjoying these short, vignettes that follow the lives and loves of the Fuller family.
I enjoyed the book, but felt like it was too much for the length of the book. There was too much going on to really get to know any of the characters. I felt like it only skimmed the surface with the characters, as well as their relationships. I wish it had dug deeper. With that said it's a quick clean quirky read with a fun premise, but not a lot of meat.
The Fuller family’s identical twins switch places while dating paramedics who are partners. Telling the truth to untangle this web has never been more difficult. One of the paramedics is divorced, but remains stuck in the past. Isaacson proves that one can’t move forward in life while staring in the rear view mirror. The past must be discarded before the future can be embraced.
The Fuller twins', Jazzy and Fabi, story. Jazzy is not happy with the deception but follows Fabi's lead anyway. Jazzy feels like the one left behind, and Fabi can't find the one to settle for. Paramedic partners Max and Ed think they're ready to date the twins, but have their own issues. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This is a two for one romance as both of the Fuller twins get their chance for a happily ever after in this book. It is the classic twins switch places set up which became totally confusing to me. It might be because I was letting my kindle read the story to me while I was driving but I kept finding myself confused with which twin was dating which paramedic because they were using the the name of the switched twin instead of the twin's real name. I finally had to go back and review to get it all straight in my head.
I liked the characters though I thought the switching places thing was a little immature for grown women to try but it is necessary for the plot of the story so I'll get over it.
A double romance featuring the Fuller twins, Fabi and Jazzy, who fall for a pair of paramedics. Due to Jazzy and Fabi switching places on the first date with Max, because of a bout of flu the two end up dating people who think they are with the other twin. Although this sounds like it should be a plotline of a screwball comedy, this is more a gentle humour. The plot deals with the theme of lost love and struggling to move on, the more serious note of the book. You feel for Jazzy who feels she is the more unattractive of the sisters, even though they are identical twins, just because she is different natured than her twin. Another good clean read with emphasis on church going. I voluntarily agreed to read an advanced copy of this book.
This book is extra sweet, clean and romantic because you get not one but two love stories. The Fuller twins Fabi and Jazzy get themselves into a little double trouble when they do a little switcharoo. Fabi didn't want to cancel her date again but she was sick so she talked Jazzy into going. Jazzy went and had a good time and is now very interested in Max. Max has a friend named Ed that he wants to do a double date with and ask the Fuller twins. Little do the guys know they aren't actually going out with who they think they are and the twins have some explaining to do. I thought this book was super cute and fun. I loved the chemistry between each of the couples and I'm glad they were able to overcome their situations so that they could move on.
The Fuller twins have been inseparable in each book leading up to this one, so it only makes sense that they would share their stories. After hearing about how Fabi and Jazzy would prank people by switching places with one another, it’s not surprising that trading their identities would come back to bite them. I liked that between Max and Ed, they show the full range of possible reactions when truth came out. I also really liked seeing that all of the characters had some growing to do before they were ready for happy ever afters I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author.
Double Jeopardy: When the power of a little white lie doubles because twice as many people are involved in that lie, four lives are effected. This story is the essence of the problems faced by Jazzy and Max, Fabi and Ed as they independently (and dependently) unravel the mess created by the deception. The story is filled with love between not only the couples but also the twins. Here's another story where Isaacson touches my heart. It's a fun summer read. (Reviewed as an ARC copy.)
Can anything good out of pretending to be your twin? Loved Jazzy and my heart hurt for her. It was surprising to me how the guys responded differently when told about the switch. A really sweet romance with tear jerker moments. I have twin daughters so this was an extra special book to me. Loved the ending.
What a wonderful story! Twin sisters with very different personalities, men who are work partners, sickness, trading places – what a mixed up mess! But so much fun to read. Confusion, confession, hurt feelings, forgiveness – this has been one of the most enjoyable books I’ve read in a while. I hope you enjoy it, too.
I just finished A Partner for the Paramedic and I loved it. We get two stories in one as the Fuller twins Jazzy and Fabi are the featured characters. I always enjoy the characters of Bush Creek by one of my favorite authors, Liz Isaacson. I received this book for free but totally love the book and my review is voluntary.
Double trouble is what happens when one twin talks her other twin into changing places. Especially when they end up wanting a relationship with the men they tricked. When the truth comes out there will be a lot of explaining to do.
I was given a copy of this book to review and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is another books about the Fuller Family, this one being about the identical twins. Love how the characters come to life and how the story develops.
This fun love story is about twins and the not so easy path to love with two paramedics . As an identical twin myself I enjoyed the plot as my sister and I traded places growing up some also. Oh twins can have so much fun!!!!!!
Brush Creek bride's continues to flourishing over the community with lovers gathering in harmony. Crying and giggling so hard along with the chacters and enjoy reading.
Very interesting book worth so many perspectives. Intriguing. I loved getting two intertwined stories. It was great and new and refreshing. I’m going to be so bummed when this series is over!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This is such a fun read. Jazi and Fabi are twins and when Fabi is sick, she sends Jazi on a first date rather than cancel. Max is her date and when he suggests that his partner and her sister double date, things get really complicated! Delightful!
What a wonderful read, great characters that have become family as this series unfolds. I can never put Liz's books down until I have read it completely.
Good combination: twins and partnered paramedics in small town setting. With an identity switch leading to confusion and misunderstanding will there be resolution?
