About the author

Kindra Sowder was born and raised in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA until the age of 12, when her family moved to Spartanburg, SC. She graduated from high school in 2006 with full honors and as a member of her high school Literary Club and the Spanish Honor Society. In January 2014, she graduated with her second degree in Criminal NeuroPsychology. She married her husband Edd Sowder in May 2014 and still lives in Spartanburg, SC where their company Burning Willow Press is based. She is the author of the Miss Hyde Novellas that are coming to television, and the ground-breaking series The Permutation Archives. She has earned a number of award nominations and wins for her literary works. She is currently penning more works and is earning her Masters Degree in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction from South New Hampshire University. As of 2018, she is undergoing treatment for Behcet's Disease. She hopes to become an advocate, and a voice for others with this rare condition.

3.5 for me. I thought it was super intense, which is a bonus for those who love action and pages that get your heart pumping. I don't think this was for me, though. I read the first book and didn't click with it, so I sort of looked forward to this one because the endings are always much better (what with it being over time and more going on). But then I read the first few chapters and was totally captured, and then other things happened and it started changing. I'm still not sure what it is, but I think part of it has to do with Mila. I love that she's strong but it's her way of thinking sometimes, and the way she justifies things that turn me off of reading this series. I don't think she's bad, just someone I wouldn't want to continue being with.

Action and story wise, it was pretty good. Ending was just as intense and crazy and the last line made me sit for a few minutes honestly wondering if I agreed with it. It was a strange sensation, and I feel like any book that makes you think is worth something. It's a recommend if you've read the books or like intense reads packed with action and details of pain.

The end has arrived and will it be the end for Mila and her misfit crew and family? Will King break his daughter and take over the world as they know it? How can they beat an unstoppable enemy? What lengths will they all have to go to and what will they give up and sacrifice to do so? This book has you yelling, screaming, crying and trying not to throw the book because it is that high paced, emotionally involving. I could not put this book down, I had to know what was going to happen next. This series is amazing and the ending will blow you away. Pick up this series and check it out yourself, you won't regret it!
