Sweet, steamy, and a bit suspenseful!
I thought this was a good read.
Lena is an IG model, and Travis is a construction worker. They are neighbors and their tension is FIRE level. Sounds like the start of a dirty movie, but it’s actually sort of a sweet unexpected love story between these two characters. They start off as enemies, and then slowly get to know one another. There is also a bit of a suspenseful side plot, and it isn’t really clear who to be wary of and what is going to happen. This story also has a bit of a life lesson about social media. How it’s a blessing and a curse. I love a good moral weaved into the book, haha.
I’m pretty sure this is the authors debut novel, and I’d like to say for that she did a wonderful job. I think the story flowed well, and kept me interested until the end! Also... with the next book. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let it be about the people I hope it’s about. I love that trope (making assumptions). LOVE!
Can’t wait to read more of this authors work!

4.5 #InstaPrincess stars
There are times when I just love picking up a book written by an author who’s completely new to me. Some of them bring something so addictively refreshing to the table that you didn’t know you needed—especially when the style of writing is one you’d get on board and jive with right away.
Miss InstaPrincess came as a huge surprise to me. I had no clue I’d have this much of a blast reading it. Travis Grant and Lena Douglas were such amazing characters that they’ll just pull you in right off the bat, wanting to know so much more of who they are and what their story is.
Travis was a great hero—no doubt about that—but it was Lena who blew me away in this one. In the beginning, I had kind of a hard time connecting with her and trying to figure her out. But as the story went on and her life started unfolding, I became more and more drawn to her. She surprised me at every turn and I loved that. Lena was definitely a strong heroine and she didn’t fall into the background, letting Travis take all the spotlight. Nope, for a popular Instagram model, she certainly knew how to shine. She owned this tale just as much as Travis did.
Funny, sexy, and absolutely relatable, Miss InstaPrincess is a brilliant book for a debut author. It was just so much more than it seemed and more than what I expected it to be. It’s honestly like the lovechild of Kendall Ryan’s and Devney Perry’s work to me. It has that nice blend of rom com that will make you giggle and swoon; sexual tension of an enemies to lovers romance that will make your toes curl; just the right amount of heart-pounding thrill; and a twist near the end that will make you hold your breath.
By now, I’m already up and excited for the next book to come—especially when you have a hunch on who it’s going to be about. That’s how much I enjoyed this book, this story, and this rising author’s writing.

I am not trying to be mean when I give this star! I usually never even hand out 1 star but today I have to :(
I did not like the plot of this story at all. I had to read about a beautiful gorgeous instafamous girl who can easily get whoever she wants under her sleeve. I have no hate towards anyone who is Instagram famous but all the problems were faced around her issues with Instagram and staying fit and eating barely anything. Plus, she got some hot neighbor to be her man.
I knew from the title at the get-go that I wouldn't like this book, but I gave it a try, plus I received it for free so I told myself to just not be judgemental and give it a shot! Whelp, I did and I was right.
I don't mind when the heroine is beautiful in a book but when she is portrayed as absolute fine/sexy/drop-dead gorgeous, "Instaprincess", I just can't. I need someone I can relate to, someone I can understand. Her problems seem to be faced mostly about getting money about her fitness line..... yet I struggle to just pay my darn gym membership monthly lol...
Anyway, I am sorry but I have to be honest with my 1 star. I have book 2 for free and I want to give it a shot because I actually like the character, Sara, and the title doesn't consist of Instagram in any short. So we will see...

Travis Grant can't stand his neighbor, every night she has kept him up with the music blaring and noises coming from her house all hours of the night. After a month of no sleep Travis has hit his limit, he finally confronts Lena Douglas.
Lena Douglas maybe twenty-six and what some would consider young, but as a Instagram model time is ticking. Lena is trying to break out into more than just a model and she doesn't need the drama her neighbor is bringing up. When they meet though the chemistry is there and impossible to deny, the only problem is that Lena has been doing a bit of a side job that causes definite problems for going public.
I tried to like this one but I thought Lena was just shallow and rude in the beginning I didn't really warm to her unfortunately. I also wondered why Travis didn't introduce himself sooner instead of going to the lengths he had before an actual introduction. I liked the idea of this book just never warmed up to Lena.

So positively addicting!! I read the whole thing in one sitting! This one is filled with humor, angst and ALL the feels! At first I didn’t care for the female MC at all but as the story progressed and more of her character was revealed, I understood her a lot better. The characters were irresistible and the story was intriguing and steamy! I was flipping away, anxious, excited and desperate to know what was going to happen next!!

Whew. Can we just take a moment to appreciate that cover? I mean... can you blame me for not getting on board with this book? I mean really, not only did that synopsis have me swooning before I even opened the first page but that cover needs to be licked!
And what makes a great RomCom? Flipping amazing characters! And speaking of characters...
Lena is an interesting breed of fictional character. She reminds me of the stereotypical blondes who you know are high maintenance yet might also have a heart, small but there. I suppose the 'basic bitch' comes to mind, but honestly as you get to know Lena she is not some vapid, petty female. She is incredibly smart, resourceful and independently driven. Travis on the other hand is definitely a force. He is very confident, high mighty personality, one that I think feels he is above Lena, which to be fair the way she acts around him at the start isn't unjustified. He legitimately loathes Lena. Because of that dynamic, he honestly comes off like an asshole, one scrumptious, deliciously lickable asshole.
Speaking of their dynamic, it is a little tricky without spoilage, so lets try this!
Lena is constantly pushing Travis's buttons as a not so nice neighbor, eventually Travis starts to retaliate in some masterfully evil and hilarious ways. Some might consider it.... a little too far. But this was definitely the part of their development I really enjoyed. The hate they shared, the sexual tension was dripping from the pages until it finally erupted. I flipping enjoyed it! It was such a great 'Enemies to Lovers' dynamic that I just found it hugely enjoyable as their shenanigans started to evolve.
With all the good though, I gotta admit some pet peeves - ugh I know, shame! At a certain however the drama was too much. A lot of that was more or less due to the secondary characters, I just felt there was too much additive when it could have been left out or maybe played down a smidge. There was also a point where the build was almost predictable. Not in a bad way, but I could definitely figure out where this was ending.
Definitely could say I liked it, but I can't say I am head over heels in love. At a certain point there was a bit much on the drama scale that left me more overwhelmed with awkward feelings than I would have liked. It was good, and I liked where it was going but at a point, again I just had to say to myself this was too much, too exaggerated.
I will admit though this is still a super fun, sexy and quick read that is sure to make you chuckle or swoon at many points of the novel. Obviously my slight pet peeve didn't deter my enjoyment nor my rating drastically - so it is a no brainier I enjoyed it. Decently played out RomCom that I think people will enjoy if you give it a go! I know I plan on continuing reading this author's work in the future as this debut novel was a hilarious fun read!

This is such a cute, fun read for KD Elizabeth’s debut novel. I loved the banter and the chemistry between Lena and Travis in this enemies to lovers romance.
Readers are going to love these two characters, but they will resonate with Lena more, as Travis is really the standard book boyfriend. Lena’s character gives us interesting insight into the life of an IG novel. We get to see a bit do the behind the scenes moments and how that affects the lives of people.
The chemistry between Lena and Travis is excellent with their warring neighborhood games. The transition from enemies to lovers to couple is fast, but it doesn’t feel overly rushed.
The conflict between the two is external, which I love, but it is predictable. Most readers will figure it out as the read. I did truly enjoy how the book ends and the HEA. The author also gave me enough to be interested in the next book. It is definitely worth a look.
KD Elizabeth’s debut novel was great. If you are a looking for a light romance that is steamy and filled with enjoyable characters, then this is for you.

This book was darling! Oh my goodness! It had me just wanting to keep in this life with Lena and Travis for longer. I wanted to see what would happen next and what banter they would have. The wit and sarcasm were perfect in this book. I laughed and cried and felt attached to these two people almost instantly!
The beginning made me laugh out loud with the interactions and the stubbornness. The middle made me giggle with anticipation. The ending blew my mind! I didn’t even see that coming and I still can’t believe how it turned out! The epilogue made me even more excited for the next books in the series.
I truly loved this book and am so excited to see what comes next!

I knew that this was going to be one thrill ride of a book after I had met the author at Book Expo this year and I was not wrong. This had a lot more sustenance to it than other books and I could not put it down.
Travis and Lena were the perfect set of characters. The bickering, the tension, and the swoon worthy romance was just amazing.
What got me was the reveal of who was writing Lena those nasty emails. Omg! I had some thoughts and they were all wrong. I couldn’t believe it.
This was a unique read and I can’t wait to read more by this author.

This was an amzing new book for me..!! I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would.
It had R.L Mathewson and Aurora Rose Reynolds vibe to it and it was absolutely amazing.
The characters were well written, the story flow was good, and the way the enemies to lovers concept was handled was pretty great. I highly recommend this book..!!!

Miss Instaprincess was such a cute read, I absolutely love how the last chapters of the book turned out. Love the connection between the hero and heroine. Love how at the beginning they hated each other bahaha. Love that this book has a big meaning about life in general.

Totally not exaggerating at all when I say this book was an absolute blast to write, and I am getting even more enjoyment out of seeing people's wonderful reaction to reading it. This is my debut, and it is SURREAL to see people reading it--in a good way!
Couple of fun facts about Miss InstaPrincess:
1. I began it in August 2017 and finished in November.
2. Originally, Sara's character was going to be a guy, and he wasn't going to make more of an appearance than in the first scene with Lena. In fact, he was going to be this dickish guy who gives Lena trouble in her class. But when I started writing the chapter, this girl popped into my head and all of a sudden she had this huge backstory, and the entire (well, a large chunk of) the plot changed. And now she's getting her own book (which, as of July '18, I've almost finished drafting--it is a slowwwwwww burn).
3. I wrote the entire book, and then did the chapter headings during the rewrites.
4. The first draft was 85K words, then I cut it down to 75K, and after adding a little, the finished text is around 79K.
5. The ebook version (on all platforms except Smashwords) have a sneak peek of the first chapter of the sequel. It may change, but probably not too much.
6. Originally, John was supposed to be a terrible boss. Not abusive or anything, but I thought more of the conflict would come from that character arc. But I decided it might be more interesting to make him pleasant, but still demanding.
7. I wrote a large chunk of this book will traveling in Europe, and whenever I reread those scenes, I remember where I was and what I was doing. It's kind of a fun travel memento.

OK BACK TO THE REAL THING NOW
I read every new adult/adult romance novel in one sitting, and Miss InstaPrincess is no exception. It was a great read from the beginning till the very end, sending butterflies of “I’m gonna stir your stomach so badly” towards me throughout the entire book, and I am so happy to be able to read this before anyone else did. HAHA.
What I really loved about Miss InstaPrincess is definitely the fact that the author chose to include a little backstory with the characters: it is the main protagonists’ backstories that compose a big part in adult romance novels: without them, you won’t get to see the vulnerability of the characters in order for the attracted-to-each-other couple to truly understand each other.
K.D. Elizabeth also knew how to torture readers from the beginning of the book by already setting off a love-hate relationship: the “i hate you for the first fifty pages or so” was quite funny I must say, but it also created a good ironic feeling because as readers, we know there was more to what the characters, Lena and Travis thought of each other.
As little chemistry as Lena and Travis had at the beginning of the book, Elizabeth set the tone off with a big bang at around sixty pages: a tiny turn of event that no one saw coming, but one so toxic that it could set anyone ablaze. Yes, I’m serious. You’ve got some hot steamy romance coming your way. Kisses are very powerful. The story was well paced throughout the whole book, and despite the fact that we introduced some complications with Lena’s house that involved some really disgusting plumbing stuff, that all add on to the plot to build Lena and Travis’ relationship.
Elizabeth had not forgotten the element of surprise and suspense that are usually seen all over in adult romance novels, and the form of suspense she chose was really quite the thing. Putting it right after she had left the readers smitten over romance, the sudden climax and the fact that the form itself is so unexpected (as it was simply fused together with Lena’s profession, InstaModelling) made it so much more impactful, and the ending is simply to die for.
The fact that Elizabeth chose Instagram was also a very interesting point to talk about: the power of social media and the possible drawbacks behind it. Identities, masks that people are able to put on, whether it is Lena or someone else relevant in this plot that I cannot spoil you about. Putting it together with such a vulnerable story was a good way to address the fact that for some people, social media were ruining their lives, the way it can create a much more lonely environment for those who have risen to the top, only creating more height for them to fall deeply.
And that is also why it was so important for Lena to find Travis, someone to finally lean on, someone to keep her from being alone when all around her has already crumbled. Someone to help her break out of her cycle of life that she already deemed miserable and to finally move on.
Miss InstaPrincess is a wonderful novel with burning romance from beginning till end, the characters left vulnerable for you to all see and listen to their voices as Lena and Travis construct each other’s hearts.

OK BACK TO THE REAL THING NOW
I read every new adult/adult romance novel in one sitting, and Miss InstaPrincess is no exception. It was a great read from the beginning till the very end, sending butterflies of “I’m gonna stir your stomach so badly” towards me throughout the entire book, and I am so happy to be able to read this before anyone else did. HAHA.
What I really loved about Miss InstaPrincess is definitely the fact that the author chose to include a little backstory with the characters: it is the main protagonists’ backstories that compose a big part in adult romance novels: without them, you won’t get to see the vulnerability of the characters in order for the attracted-to-each-other couple to truly understand each other.
K.D. Elizabeth also knew how to torture readers from the beginning of the book by already setting off a love-hate relationship: the “i hate you for the first fifty pages or so” was quite funny I must say, but it also created a good ironic feeling because as readers, we know there was more to what the characters, Lena and Travis thought of each other.
As little chemistry as Lena and Travis had at the beginning of the book, Elizabeth set the tone off with a big bang at around sixty pages: a tiny turn of event that no one saw coming, but one so toxic that it could set anyone ablaze. Yes, I’m serious. You’ve got some hot steamy romance coming your way. Kisses are very powerful. The story was well paced throughout the whole book, and despite the fact that we introduced some complications with Lena’s house that involved some really disgusting plumbing stuff, that all add on to the plot to build Lena and Travis’ relationship.

I love reading Romance, but lately I’ve felt that I have already stumbled upon all the best authors and have read their books. Then, I was fortunate enough to meet K. D. Elizabeth during BookExpo and receive an ARC of her first book “Miss InstaPrincess”. I had no idea what to expect, but by the end all I can say is I found another favorite Romance author.
Elizabeth’s work reminds me of Diana Palmer (her “Diamond Girl” and “After The Music”) and Judith McNaught (my favorite Romance author of all time). This is not just a fun book (Boy is it fun!), but a book that touches on real emotions and suffering, too; a romance novel that may appear silly at first, but has real depth. The intimate scenes are steamy, without making me feel uncomfortable or like a voyeur.
All in all, I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

The best thing about this book was the Author's Note at the end. Book itself was an enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity romance between a reluctant Instagram model & a construction company owner. I really struggled with the fact it felt like plot devices were just thrown in for a scene the author wanted, but that felt completely unbelievable or stupid (e.g., after heroine hurt her hands, was struggling to get a photo for posting because the ONLY yoga pose she could think of was grabbing her foot in the air...). This was apparently author's 1st book, and 2nd I read, so hopefully other book I read is more indicative of her writing quality.

I have to admit, I could not connect with Lena in the beginning of this book, but it quickly turned around! I loooved Travis, such a sweet and protective guy! I really enjoyed the author’s writing and look forward to her next book!
