I read this book a while back and only realized now that I didn't review it. Wow it was so breathtaking! You would never believe that this is the author's first book. SM Broad writes with such passion and love that it transfers into this book and we can see it through her characters.
The book starts off with Aayla our heroine who is struggling to come to terms with her demons. She feels like she needs to get away from everything and find herself again...only when do plans ever go our way? Lol...her car breaks down and who would come to her rescue but our delicious hero Latham!
Latham is a mechanic and tries to help Aayla deal with her car situation only her car is old AF and he needs certain parts to fix it...parts he doesn't have and can't find immediately...so Aayla naturally is forced to stay in the town until her car is up and running again. As the weeks go on we see that Latham is interested in the beauty but she goes out of her way to be bitchy. After sometime she finally agrees to give him and a chance and they go out! Eeeppppp the romance is sizzling between them and we get to watch it grow into love.
This story is heartwarming...I'm so use to reading dark romance that this was such a refreshing story to read after so long! A handsome hunk that asks permission before he kisses you, that doesn't rush you and is content in your company (SWOON) it's a love that is pure and full of trust.

Wow! Talk about a debut book. It was flawlessly written and beautiful! I was hooked after within the first few pages.. Aayla's past wasn't an easy one and your heart absolutely broke for her. Then there's Latham who's love and devotion truly helped heal her and made her a better person! I highly recommend this book! Looking forward to reading more from Ms. Broad!

This book is an exemplary novel about the power of love. It is so beautifully written. I could feel the emotions of the heroine and other characters. I love the message in this novel. SM Board does a great job not sugar coating. Life is hard, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. All in all, this is a powerful romance novel. There is steam, chemistry, and a good bunch of hilarious moments. But, the book does a great job keeping the seriousness, with of course a HEA.

Amazing 😍
The Road to Finding me is a beautiful and captivating story. Aayla was having a hard time with her life after a tragic incident, after she decided to figure out who she is. She left her home town, then found her self broken down on the highway her where life will be changed forever. I'm so in love with the story I didn't want it to end!!!!

Loved it!
I started with book 3 in this series, and I absolutely loved it so I knew I needed to come back and buy this one (and #2!). If you like HEAs and a charming southern gentleman, this one’s for you! Aayla’s story is a wild one and I absolutely loved her and Latham together!

This was a great debut novel from SM Broad. Aayla and Latham were both amazing character. Her past was heart-breaking,a and she needed to find herself. What she found was Latham, and he put back together all of her broken pieces. Watching these two characters meet, interact, and fall in love made such an amazing story. I was hooked from the beginning and cannot wait for more!!

4.5 stars - great start for a new author. I really enjoyed the slow buildup of Aayla’s relationship with Latham. It was obvious in the beginning that Aayla would need time before jumping into a relationship and I was happy to see that she got that time. I love how both characters had situations in their pasts that had stolen their joy, but were able to move forward and find new joy with each other. I am excited to see where SM Broad goes from here.

Awwww a cute love story
This was a new author for me. It was great short read. This has a great story story line. Some areas could be a little more detailed or developed for the story. I like guts in mine. Very well written, great imagery, felt like I was tight in the story at times.

A beautiful romantic book. The start reeled me in quickly. Whilst I really liked the themes/story lines, I wish they were developed more. A good read, especially if you are after something on the shorter side.

This debut novel by SM Broad is a promising start to a solid career in the world of romantic literature. I enjoyed the characters and the journey they took to earn their happy ending. The friendships and familial bonds that are formed in this book are ones that nested in my heart and have me looking forward to reading their stories in the future.
The prologue and opening chapters had me hooked. They are dark, action-packed and suspenseful. Once invested I needed to make sure that the heroine, Aayla, found her way to a happier place. The emotional and harrowing first part of her life experience surely warranted happy ending for her.
The serendipitous way in which, Latham, the story's hero, enters Aayla's life is exactly exactly what one expects from a good romance. This sweet, southern gentleman is just who Aayla needs to help her heal from the trauma she has experienced.
I truly enjoyed the time I spent reading Aayla and Latham's story. The beautiful little southern town of Grayson, where the majority of this book unfolds, is a place that I hope to visit again, soon.

This is a BEAUTIFUL romantic debut by Shawna.
To move on from tragedy Ayala decided to leave all she knows for the unknown, but Destiny has other plans for her. They come in the form of the luscious Latham. But is she willing to venture and open her heart or would she close all she is and continue running. As I said before it was a beautiful story between Ayala & Latham, and I’m really happy with their HEA. Hope to see more of them ;)

So I suck at scientists why I'm a reader not a writer but this book ugh it's everything!!! I won a copy of this book from the author SM Broad herself. I figured it sounded cute and would something different by someone different for me. I got soooo much more than that. This book has it all!!! The laughs, the angst, the snarky sarcasm, all the feels. So I'm other words I loved this book!!

Love this book! Aayla needs a fresh start and Latham can give that to her unbeknownst to him! After a terrible tragedy, Aayla needs to leave and start fresh. And that is just what she does. While on her new journey, she meets a mechanic that becomes way more. Latham is a strong, gentle beautiful man that needs Aayla. Along the way, evil people come in and try to harm Aayla. Latham finds and protects his girl! Aayla struggles from post-traumatic stress and has awful nightmares, but Latham helps by being her protector. This story is sweet but yet sexy! Easy read that is a definite must!!

It was awesome seeing a heroine stand up and defend herself ... Its never easy being in the situation Aayla was in. We always say we would do this or that but we never know until weve been there. I love how sweet Latham was . He was so patient and understanding.... I love how they built this amazing friendship and it turned into this beautiful love story ...

I'm so glad this book was recommended to me. Latham was the perfect book boyfriend and I loved the space and necessary time he gave Aayla. I was surprised by how much story was packed into the pages, and we get an epilogue!

Great story
Loved that straight away in was intrigued. I kept turning pages. Slow burn kinda love but in time there was passion between Aayla and Latham. I knew something was big was gonna happen with all the tension and it did not disappoint.
