This is a collection of ghost stories from the state of South Carolina. It was published in 1984, so some of the language is a little outdated. The author has a habit of getting over descriptive at times and I found myself getting bored. Once I got into it, it was an easy read. It's a short book at 152 pages and none of the stories are really scary. Some are interesting.

This might be more interesting to people who live in South Carolina.

DNF ~55%. Not written how I thought it would be. Did not enjoy the writing style and how the “ghost stories” were presented. Basically more of a travel blog of the author tracking down ghosts than the actual ghost stories.

Very interesting stories. More to the stories than just the ghosts. She gave you some background into the reason for the hauntings

So far glad this read spoke pick me up to me back three to five years ago in a Matthews North Carolina area thrift store. Not only is it autographed but the 1st stories were as been heard in my family as well as what I have seen Ring's truth at least though my eyes. Like say the story of the ghostly hand in retrospect to incident of my mother's mother or when aged a bit younger sighting an occurrence of witness to the either in desperate need or recently deceased maybe just my touch ESP or back then being more in tune surrounding Me.
As for the story on Land's end light I have always thought that I saw witness a horizontal something off off nights beach walks, especially up here in NC in the Hatterous area beaches. Be they for real or not it's a basic neatto thought. Though infact biking my childhood mongoose bicycle when a friend around age 9 swore I saw dark shadow of man just below my father's home so sped up but closer I got the fainter it became. Maybe the thing is we or some of us as children can see glimpses of beyond. Much much muchly enjoying this read. Now continue with another take or few. Happy Autumn all.

Drawn toward the cover. Which I know is a gamble. With a family friend pitch in. I purchased near Charlotte couple years back. This possible top shelf edition of University South Carolina Press. A gold nugget will surely follow completion. Picture soon. 📷

This one will require a reread. I remember absolutely nothing about it other than I picked this up on a trip to Charleston, SC in 2015 alongside a book on pirates. Both were souvenir store books. They're both short so I'll get back to them at some point.
