Kirsty has suffered the worst trauma a living person can endure. The death of a new born child. Every day for her is a living battle. She is recovering slowly, but the brutal murder of a woman close to her home rocks her peaceful world.
Another woman is killed in the same way. Kirsty now makes a terrifying discovery – the murders of both these women point to her husband, Jake. He is the local doctor and knew both women well.
Piece by piece, the jigsaw falls into place, and Kirsty is spellbound as she realises what her husband is capable of. Then she finds the evidence that could utterly destroy her: Did Jake kill her baby son?
As her life unravels, Jake becomes more suspicious. Soon, Kirsty knows her life is in danger, and she has to act fast to make the police believe her. But by then, it might be too late…

A Twisted take of dangerous liaisons.

A great book of you like to get stuck in cover to cover. The plot explores the grief the loss of a newborn baby creates in a mother and father and the different ways each cope.

Women are being murdered and the plot sucks you in the be playing armchair detective as clues are thrown up as you read. Do you really know those close to you? Can a person be two totally different people. A serial killer can be.

A grieving wife with a lot of heavy questions. Trust is thin as the story intensifies. I was at 89% when my own detective investigation found the truth. Surprisingly more twisted than I thought.

As a self-published author, Mick has written a book on par with many recent crime/psychological thrillers and I predict publishers will be taking notice. I read this quickly and loved the pace. My only reason for no fifth star was some weakness in police procedures, both things that would not occur and more detail needed.

A solid 4 star book that anyone who likes this cross-genre will enjoy. I'm keen to read Nick's other novel too.

When you pick up your copy of Don't Say It, make sure that you don't have anything to do, including eat or sleep for the next 20 or so hours (depending on how fast you read). Once you pick up this book you will NOT be able to put it down until the last page. To say it is fast-paced is like saying a 747 is a big plane...a definite understatement. Several times I just knew I had the plot figured out and then another twist would come and I'd be right back at square one. All of the characters are so well-developed that you feel you know them. I almost physically felt Kirsty's pain as she tries to deal with the loss of her son. That portion of the book is really a little difficult to handle because Mr Bose makes every emotion come alive. And this first part of the book may feel a little slow as the foundation for the rest of the story is being carefully laid, but once the murder investigation begins the action becomes non-stop. Don't miss this book. It would be a shame,
And so that no one will think this is a "cotton candy" review, I must say that Mr Bose uses my least favorite narrative, which is first person, present tense. It just feels awkward to me and can set the author up for tense errors quite easily. In this case, as much as I dislike it, it allows the reader to see events from the perspective of both Kirsty and Jake, which made for a very interesting and twisty read

An editor is a very useful thing. I finished the book as I was intrigued by the storyline but it was painful to wade through all the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes.

I'm quite wrung out at the end of this novel - what a stunning read!

Kirsty Gunn is understandably devastated when her son is born with health issues, and then dies. Her world collapses in on her and she struggles just to get through each day. The killing of a woman in the local park where both she and her husband, Jake, go running shocks Kirsty to her core. When she realises that Jake was out at the time of the murder, a tremor of suspicion is aroused and a bit of tentative scrutiny fails to allow her to drop it. She is left with treacherous thoughts running through her mind. With no option but to run with her abhorrent idea, Kirsty begins to widen the scope of her probing and really doesn't like where it's leading - but by then there's no going back.

This is a breathtaking read; with so much going on it really pays to keep your wits about you! The sadness of the beginning stayed with me throughout - I think anyone would be touched by Kirsty's plight, especially in the light of her husband coping so well and moving on with his daily life. I really felt her pain, and this part of the story was extremely well explained. Then came the murder, the suspicion, and my heart pounded along with Kirsty's on several occasions. Fast-paced and exciting, this is a gripping thriller and one which I found very difficult to lay down. Unpredictable and surprising, it's a superb read and one I'm extremely happy to recommend.

My thanks to the author for providing my copy. This is my honest, original and unbiased review.

I was really enjoying this book and then it all went wrong at chapter 50. Sigh.... overall three and a half stars.

I received a free advance e-copy of this book from the author and have chosen to write an honest and unbiased review. I have no personal affiliation with the author. Wow! A great story. Very well written with a great plot and good character development. The action and suspense never quits. Full of twists and turns. The author portrays accurate examples of psychopathic personalities and how they can fool everyone. I was really thrown for a loop with an unexpected surprise twist at the end. There is a great quote near the end of the book, "A forest is a natural place, Kirsty. In time you'll see the flowers that bloom there and smell the pines. Don't think of it as the woods." This book is well worth the read and I look forward to reading more from Mick Bose in the future.

Mick Bose is definitely trying some different styles, and this one is a great success. It manages to convey the heartbreak of a young woman, Kirsty, whose new born son dies and her attempts to return to some sort of normalcy through work and is helped by sessions with a therapist. But then two young women are murdered in the area and Kirsty's dilemma when she finds evidence which points to her husband as the murderer is portrayed extremely well, and so is her subsequent descent into confusion and even more despair.
The ending comes as a real shock, I honestly didn't predict what is revealed and again this is written beautifully.
I received an advance copy of this book, but this review is voluntarily written and my honest opinion.

This book is a real thriller, it should be made into a movie, at first it starts out dark, but, boy that changes. The book makes you aware of how depressed people see themselves and how they think others see them. It's and illness like any other, but, until recently has been a taboo and people looked at others as crazy. As I'm reading the book, oh I know who the killer is and had the whole thing figured out. Well, I certainly was wrong all along, great job.

The murderer came out of left field!

The story had two distinct narratives, the loss of a child and the search for a killer. There did not seem to be a cohesive connection between the murders, the motive and the killer. The identify of the murderer was not only a surprise but also a shock. I think the connection between the murderer and the motive could have been more fully developed. Otherwise, a pretty good read for a rainy evening.

It's bazaar

I enjoyed the author's series with DCI and Harry. This book's nothing like those.

Kristy isn't wrapped too tight. I understand that losing a child will make you crazy, but I think she was a whack job prior to her loss.

I did figure out what was happening around page 120.

Don't say it

I really enjoyed this book. Women are being murdered in the woods and there doesn't seem to be any suspects. The book revolves around two couples - is there a murderer within. Nice twist. Great book📕👍

Gripping emotional story.

Excellent author who pulls the reader in with the very first chapter and leads you on an emotional journey and never let's go until the very end. I could not put this book down and was unable to get anything done until I got to the conclusion.

Many facets

The book is multi faceted in that it covers the psychological aspect of losing a child, the inner workings and compromises of marital sex, the beauty of a strong friendship and most of all a great nail biting mystery.
