In this tale-twisting sequel to Living Anonymous, we pick right back up where the characters left off.
Betrayed by one of her most trusted friend’s, pop-star Aneesah “Anì” Bradshaw is left fighting for her freedom in the court of law. Catching a break, she is released from prison but pays the ultimate price of losing the love of her life. Now shunned by the media and critics alike, Aneesah is left to pick up the pieces of her fallen career. Going out on a whim and doing things her way, she regains her popularity in the music industry but struggles with the loneliness that seems to be embedded in her heart.
Rekindling an old flame, life seems to finally fall back into place for the pop-princess; however, a dark secret looms over her head, jeopardizing her relationship. Hit with a life-altering tragedy that shatters her world, Aneesah gives up her career, isolates herself from loved ones, and ultimately spirals out of control, leading her down a dark, twisted path of self-destruction.
Lower Merion/Haverford Township educated and Temple University graduate, Ardmore native Shataya Simms has a background in Project Management, Public Relations, Marketing, and Promotions. During her junior year of college, Shataya, along with a group of Temple University students, founded Grown Folks Entertainment which promoted Philadelphia’s night life, as well as specialized in event planning. During this time, she was also an intern for Philadelphia International Records/Gamble-Huff Music, as a Marketing & Special Projects Coordinator assistant. After graduating from Temple University, Shataya worked as a Project Manager for a sign advertising company but her passion was to return to the world of marketing and media. In 2012, she earned her broadcasting certificate from Connecticut School of Broadcasting, learning all tools in successfully running both radio and television stations. After 6 years of service as a Project Manager, Shataya took a leave of absence to start her own business, Connect Management Group; a marketing, branding, and talent management agency, as well as complete her first novel titled Living Anonymous, which she self-published and released on October 30, 2015 under Connect Management Group’s umbrella. Currently, Shataya resides in Bryn Mawr, PA where she is raising her 13 year old son as she works to build the brand of her businesses and the sequel to Living Anonymous.
Still Anonymous by Shataya Simms is a good read. Shataya Simms did a good job. It's definitely a page turner.
I'm not going to spoil too much. Aneesah needs to be careful who she called friends or who she could trust. She needs be careful who she hangs with but she needs to focused on herself. Dani is a bad news to Aneesah. My heart goes to Saheed, and Angel.
Ugh, I was so over Aneesah in this book! If there was ever a time to shake a Bih this was it. I compared the writing in this book a lot to Living Anonymous. And at first I was very frustrated with Shataya like what the hell is she doing, but then I realized it. She couldn't write this book like the first book, because Aneesah was going through something different in this book. She was heartbroken, betrayed by a friend, and experimenting with new social circles and drugs. She was off her game. And that's how the hell Shataya wrote this book, she wrote it erratic and unpredictable just like Aneesah. And once I got out of my own way, I realized that Shataya was a dope writer. Not that I questioned it before, but darn if she didn't change up her writing to fit the needs of the book. It was refreshing because a lot of authors stick to the format they are familiar with instead of giving us what we need or even want from the story. So shout out to Shataya Simms for stepping outside the box and making us live this pain with Aneesah aggravating ass! Lol. But I'm mad at the cliffhanger. Like for real this is what we doing??? This is how you're going to do us??? As much as she pissed me off being reckless, I wasn't expecting this ending.
This book is 🔥! So much going on here and there are spoilers! I simply hate how Saheed was cheating the entire relationship! I don’t care for Camille. She knew he was married and still was being with him. Really she was using him! I’m still fuming over her being pregnant and Saheed knew all along. Then he dies so Aneesah can’t even confront him! However, to be fair, Aneesah did wrong by cheating on him and leaving him, gave him gonorrhea but made him think he gave it to her, and then keeping the possibility of the baby being for Donnie from him. She was just as wrong! As for Nyce! I can’t stand him right now! His reason for leaving Aneesah when he went to prison was not necessarily a bad reason as his execution was! He definitely made his point. However, had he not done all of that, Aneesah wouldn’t have gone through all that she did while he was locked up. Now, I’m pissed at Nyce for sleeping with Tori! So, basically she got him out of prison and he cheats on her for the dumbest reason! Now she could possibly be HIV positive!!!!! Poor Aneesah cannot catch a break. I already read book 3 and I hate it even more. Nyce ain’t so nice after all!
The third installment of the Anonymous Series catches the reader up with Aneesah, who has been arrested on Christmas morning, along with her fiancé Nyce. While incarcerated, she meets Dani, a judge's daughter whose father decides to show her tough love. Nyce decides to take full responsibility for everything, in exchange for Aneesah's release.
Upon her release, Aneesah learns that life the way she knew it…is no longer the same. She also tries to be there for Nyce, who basically pushed her away, which causes her to go into a state of depression. When the realization his that life continues to move forward without her, Aneesah turns to drugs. Those around her are afraid to confront her about her addiction, and then something life changing happens…Nyce comes home.
Just when everything appears to be looking towards, tragedy strikes again!
I am completely invested in this 💎💎💎💎💎 series by @authorshatayasimms and highly recommend that you check it out for yourself.
This series has a lot to take in. I thought the first book was something but the second take on a whole new level. My heart went out to Aneesah. She went through so heartache and pain. Saheed was comfortable for her. She loved him but not the way she loved Nyce. I hate he did her like that in the beginning but she always had his back no matter what. I hate Dani introduced Aneesah to that world. I think they all seen Aneesah spiral out of control but they did not know how to approach her. I felt a lot of emotions reading this book. I don't know if I will read the 3rd book because it is getting too deep. Ms. Simms you are great writer! You are now in my top 5!
Sheesh! Idk what to say. This girl has had some serious stuff going on in her life. I admit she makes things worse by bottling it all up & never letting it out. So problems after problems are being piled up. One on top of the other until she can't take it anymore. The people around her don't really help because nobody says anything, they just sit around watching her self destruct acting like they don't notice anything different. It's a good thing Nyce is home because she was practically killing herself. And he almost let her do whatever cause he didn't wanna face the truth himself. Now her friend is calling with more bad news. I don't know if she can even handle anything else.
It's rare to see a sequel as good as the first novel but Shataya has come through yet AGAIN with another banger. This sequel picks up where the first book left off with Ani and Nyce being taken to prison. Pree and Knuck are still going strong. This book kept you going with so many twists and turns...every time Ani thinks her life is going good she is hit with yet another obstacle or trial. We do see Ani finally put her foot down with Yaya's ass...and we had all been waiting on that moment. All in all, this sequel was amazing, heart wrenching, and full of twists and turns. It has an explosive ending that left us in dire need of the final book in this series. FIVE STAR FOR REAL!
My heart bleeds for Ani as life seems to just frown her in sorrow. After Nyce gets locked up; he releases Ani from his life! Pree marries her boo after getting MJ 's blessing and Tre married Melissa. Saheed and Ani get back together with a baby on the way. Life seems grand and then more tragedy comes her way. Drugs and pills are Ani's new coping mechanism. Everyone enjoying their new businesses and babies and no one sees Ani drowning. Rita finally tells her how she was conceived. New light happens when Nyce is released and he slowly beings Anresha bacj but one phone may again change everything!!! Damn!!!
Book 2 in this series picks up where 1 left off. I was really into the storyline as the drama of Ani and Nyce had me captivated! However, this excitement dwindled as too many fillers took up most of the pages. There needs to be a happy medium between details and just plain ole fillers that do nothing to progress the plot. I kept putting the book down and trying not to skim over them as I sifted through the plot.
I had high hopes since it started on good notenough in terms of keeping my attention, but the numerous day to day events overpowered the drama the lead characters endured. I so wanted to be into this book because the storyline has great potential.
I really wish I could give this book a stronger reading, however that's not the case. The story was overly dramatic and drawn out. Some of the battles that the main character faced when she got older didn't make sense. She came of as weak, which was not the case in book 1. There were a lot of grammatical errors and confusing dialogue. For examp!e, the house chef was Japanese, which he spoke to diamond in the kitchen, but she responded to him in Mandarin. Didn't make sense at all.
Once I started I couldn't put it down. I can even find the right words. I love Nyce even though he treated Aneesha bad to make her go live her life. He did it because he loved her. Aneesha has many hurdles in her path but with his love she conquers them. The end though uuugghhh, I can't wait. This book had me in tears 1 minute smiles the next.
OK let me first say Aneesah is in her 30's and she hasn't shown any growth. She made me mad this whole book. I hope Nyce don't have HIV messing with her... She knew better sleeping with Dani and she was having sex with random men. Nasty*** It's a good read but everyone is growing up except her... Sigh!
Intense, nerve wrecking, emotional,....these are just some of the words to describe this book. I CUD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN! My husband asks...”your eyes don’t hurt? ... but I just cannot put this book down. Ani does not and cannot get a break. If it’s not one thing...it’s another. Although she’s weak....she is still strong. Finally Nyce Is doing what he should be doing.
I'm speechless at the things that ani' has endured in this series. Even though it's really sad I can't put this book down . The roller coaster ride is just crazy but draws you in . I have read every book by this author and so far haven't been disappointed .
I can't wait for the next installment. So intense. Took him long enough to see her cus I was getting mad. She been through much. And Yaya that was just weak her n her rat a** n***a She got a lot of debts and Dani made my a** itch...
This book was such an emotional read it took several days for me to complete. Mainly because my heart seeped for Aní and I just want her to be happy. Like after all shes been through homegirl cant catch a break.
Man, this installment really had me on edge. Ani can't catch a break. She's constantly undergoing changes and left with the shitty hand...im desperately needing part 3 because things have gotten REAL!
Wow, this book had so many turns. These folks went through hell and I didn't expect that ending. Lord, it's just too much. I'll try to check out the next books Nyce deserves everything and more!
My heart can’t take anymore...Aneesah has been through hell and back. With each chapter I read I’m asking myself what more can she go through? This book was really good and sends you on a emotional roller coaster....
Oh girl cannot catch a break. She is constantly getting hit after hit. I hope in part 3 that she actually gets her happily ever after. I'm like how many hits can a person take. I knew there was something strange about that Yaya chick. I wonder what happened to her. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn't know what was gonna happen next. I love the length of this book as well. Even though it's long I didn't rush thru it or skip any pages. So far all 3 books in this series Living Anonymous, Nyce and Still Anonymous have been worth the read. Thanks to the Cafeteria for recommending it.
You delivered again. Yess I absolutely enjoyed this book. You left me wondering if Ani will every be truly happy. I am teamnycenani so it has to work. Great series cant wait.
Damn damn damn... Ani is so strong. I don't think my heart can take anymore. This book has me listening to gospel and being grateful for all the blessings in my life.
I am enjoying this series. This is my 3rd book by this I author and I really like what I am reading thus far. I look forward to reading more by this author
