This was a short and sweet book. I'm not surprised the rest of the series has been great too. In this one we have Bianca and Marshall. They have a past and when given the opportunity they try it for a second time. Thankfully this time it works out in the end for them.

Marshall has to leave to go to the college where he was accepted. Sounds great, but in leaving, it means he's leaving Bianca, the girl he's come to love. When she won't see him before he has to leave, it only solidifies his feelings for her. So much so that when he comes home for Christmas break, he's beyond determined to get Bianca back. It takes awhile to get her to let him back into her life, and when she does, he's surprised to learn why she rejected him before. Now Marshall just has to figure out how to get around the obstacle Bianca and he are facing.

Once I started reading My Only Wish is You, I realized I had read the first book in this series, Welcome to Your Life, and I understood why some of the characters seem familiar. Although I don't remember either Marshall or Bianca from that first book, I found it easy to understand what was going on here. I ended up falling for Marshall. He's a sweetheart, and so determined and patient with Bianca, who's a bit (A LOT) prickly. Luckily for her, he stuck to his guns, or she'd have ended up a bitter old woman later when she realized what she had lost by being so freakin stubborn. Aside from being annoyed in general by Bianca, I liked My Only Wish is You. It's sweet and Marshall is the perfect bbf. I'm looking forward to much more from this promising author.

This is the 5th book of the series and if you have read the others, you already know Marshall and Bianca, you already have your favorite characters and especially you like this series and its author.
Marshall left to pursue his studies far from Bianca, he didn't think it would bother her. Bianca is sad and very angry with Marshall even though she never told him how she felt about him. The latter is trying to make it up to him, but Bianca is stubborn and Marshall is not his only problem. His family and prejudices are another obstacle to his relationship with Marshall, unfortunately.
I like Marshall, he's tender, loving and conciliatory, he doesn't let Bianca do as she pleases. He knows what he wants and I really like his strength of will and his family.
Bianca withdraws into work, Marshall made her suffer when she left and she tries to get over it but everything is complicated. I admire Bianca, she is a strong and determined woman who deserves to know happiness in her life.
I liked the evolution of the relationship between Marshall and Bianca, they're both so cute.
Katrina Marie has managed to make my little heart vibrate again.

What I love about this little book is the characters. I love how Katrina Marie is able to keep a series going, and keep it interesting, without surrounding the whole series around one or two characters. She has built a whole world of characters that are relatable and the reader can do nothing but root for them! I love that each book of the Taking Chances series focuses on a “new” set of characters (even though, they aren’t really new because they are secondary characters in the other books), and is able to keep the stories going. Not all of them are the same, and Marie doesn’t follow any predictable formula.

What I didn’t like about this little book was that it was just so short! Which meant that the story had to move quickly. There wasn’t really any kind of conflict, now real climax of the story, and everything just seemed to fall into place. I can equate it to a very short Hallmark movie. Still enjoyable, but not a lot of substance.

I love these books so much! I was really curious as to what was going on between Bianca and Marshall in Jake's book, but I never imagined this would be their lives! I loved how determined Marshall was and for a long time I was pretty upset with Bianca. She was pretty dang selfish for quite a while and just wouldn't hear out Marshall. I absolutely loved how Marshall didn't back down and completely gave it his all to win back Briana. He was so darn determined, it was so adorable! I absolutely adored how this ended and I loved that we got to see some more of the other couples too!

Marshall was trying so hard to fight for what he thought was a great thing, but Bianca is so afraid of getting hurt. Marshall had to go to college where he was accepted and unfortunately it was out of town. Bianca didn't think a long distance relationship would work, so the night before he had to leave she refused to say goodbye and see him. Marshall comes back for Christmas break with a mission to do everything to convince Bianca he was serious....even so far as getting a tattoo. I won't give spoilers but I highly recommend the book!

College student Marshall meets a few years older Bianca a tattoo artist and Latina on summer break. He thinks she’ll be fine with a long distance relationship when he goes back to school until she doesn’t return his calls and texts. He transfers to a college closer to be with her, but she still won’t talk to him. It’s to until she meets his parents and he meets hers and they are accepting of their relationship that she lets him back in. This was a YA romance dealing with age and cultural differences.

My Only Wish is You is a sweet story about falling in love, taking second chances and learning from misunderstandings.

We meet Bianca a friend of Charleighs and co-worker. Marshall is Jake's friend. They hit it off bit he has to go back to school. Once he returns home he's determined to win her back no matter the cost.

This book is sweet, easy to read, romantic and funny at times. I really like this series and all its characters. Looking fwd to Reef and Tonya's wedding next.

This story, breaks your heart right away. Its like hey you know going in that you want these characters to have some amazing love story. Heck you know going in there is probably going to be problems, but RIGHT OFF THE BAT they are already to this pivotal moment of heart break and pain.
I kind of liked how this book was set up. How Marshall was set on fixing things, and how everyone around him knew what he needed to fix it!
These two, even when fighting the pull towards one another are being pushed right back to each other. Their everything is saying BE together.

It was just meant to be a summer fling but he knew he wanted so much more. He left because he had too not because he wanted too. Now he is back and he wants to show her he wants her for good. Will he break through the walls she has built around her? Will she sees she needs him as much as he needs her? See if she will

A short romantic novel that asks us not to assume we know what others are thinking.

Given the shortness there is a surprising amount of depth to the characters.

This is the second book of Marie’s where I really engage with the male lead, being Marshall. An engaging college guy, who is trying to get the girl he loves, Bianca, to give him more than just a summer.

Book five in the Taking Chances series is a well-written story that kept my interest throughout. Bianca let Marshall leave for college without saying goodbye, but now he is back and he is going to fight for what he wants. I enjoyed reading how their story grew. This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Katrina Marie; she has done a great job at writing a good book. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This was a really sweet romance it is the fifth book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Marshall and Bianca have a summer fling which ends when he leaves to go to College but neither one has been able to forget the other one even though Bianca tries to hide from her feelings now he is back and wants her back. This was sweet and yet fun at times a good read

Short, sweet and too the point! Marshall wants Bianca’s. They have a past. She’s afraid and he does what everything he can to convince her to come back to him. A few laughs a long the way and some swoon worthy moments too.

I’m going to say that Marshall and Bianca are hands down my favorite. Who doesn’t love a love story like there’s. The break you from the beginning like who doesn’t love that. This series has been awesome.

Marshall and Bianca's story is a good one. Marshall refuses to give up on the woman he really wants and he helps her overcome her worries. Bianca realizes she needs to stop pushing Marshall away.

Marshall and Bianca had a summer romance that ended when Marshall had to leave town for school. Bianca had shut him out before he left, but Marshall didn’t give up on trying to talk to her and connect with her. Now, Marshall is back in town and wants to see Bianca, he wants to talk to Bianca.

I didn’t see her coming and she’s my polar opposite in every way.

Marshall and Bianca, I’ve been interested in them from the moment these two were introduced and I couldn’t wait to find out their story. The story was a little on the shorter end, but there was so much to it. We got to see the growth of these characters and Bianca overcoming her fears when it comes to a relationship.

Marshall, he is such a perfect gentleman. I love that he never gave up on Bianca. He is sweet and sexy and would do anything for her, even if it meant that he couldn’t have her in the end. Bianca, she doesn’t want to disappoint her family, but I am glad she was finally able to overcome her fears and worries.

Marshall and Bianca’s story was a great addition to the other books.

A summer fling that refuses to be in the past.
Marshall left town to go to college and Bianca stayed behind refusing to acknowledge what he ment for her.

This is a great short read about getting a second chance at love. Marshall and Bianca have a great relationship but when Marshall is due to leave for college, hes forced to go without Bianca and without a goodbye, leaving her is hard so when he returns home at Christmas seeing Bianca is his first want, proving to her he wants her back is another and it wont be easy with the secret she holds.

This is one of the sweetest love stories I have ever read. The author is a wonderful storyteller and this is such a beautiful, heartwarming romance. It had me under its spell from beginning to end. I just loved it! It reminds me that love can conquer things if given the chance. This book had me laughing and crying and I could not be happier with their HEA and how everything played out.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Katrina Marie does not disappoint. I love everything written by her, and this story did not let me down. Marshall and Bianca's story was one that I was really looking forward to, and I'm so glad that it was written. I loved Bianca in other books in the series. Her no BS attitude was one I love, and I'm so glad that we got to see another side of her in this book. It was obvious early on in the series that Marshall was one of the good guys, and he totally proved it throughout this book. This book had some moments that made me mad, but I'm so happy with how it ended. This was a short read showing that fighting for what you want does pay off in the end.

First I have to say I was very sick of Bianca by the end of the book while Marshall won my heart and mad me wish he had chosen ANYone else. However this is a good read and Marshall is enough of a reason to read t all on his own. Since he has decided he can't possibly live without her and does what he can to prove it to her if only she wasn't so stubborn. We get a wonderful story of cat and mouse and we also get to enjoy Marshall laying on the charm. Bianca does have their reasons but with a sweetie like Marshall she needs to get over it. Yup loved it and this author a wonderful read.
