Every one needs a little bit of joy in their lives now and then. Designed to SHINE! by Joy Resor is definitely one of those books that lives up to its name and will bring plenty of joy to readers of all ages.

Author Joy Resor along with illustrator Lauren Connell have created a magical book of rhymes that will warm the heart and delight the eyes and ears. I found myself reading the rhymes aloud as I think they are best to be read that way(as noted in the title as well) and loved the positive and encouraging thoughts that were conveyed in a somewhat whimsical fashion.

Each of the 26 rhymes is arranged in alphabetical order beginning with Attention and ending with Zest. With fun and positive messages in each of the rhymes these are definitely worth reading to that child in your life many times over. But please don't limit reading this book to children only-- it is applicable to everyone regardless of age.

Thanks to Joy Resor for a free copy of her book, Designed to Shine! Joy definitely lives up to her name as she shares her own sense of joy in this extraordinary book.
