Absolutely amazing! You must read the first one to understand some of the background of these characters though.
Tatya is a healer-a witch- who is bonded to a master vampire. She is the student of a shaman and has to deal with the local werewolf pack looking down on her for being "tainted" because of her witch abilities and the vampire bond. She is psychic and tries to help local authorities with tough cases where there are no real clues to follow. She has a great personality and I love her no nonsense attitude
Vance is her would-be vampire lover. "Would be" because he won't sleep with her, despite her best efforts and letting him know she wants to take their relationship to the next level. He has a complicated past and he uses his bond with Tatya to protect her. He is a lot more than a vampire(no spoiler) which makes him an extremely powerful master vampire.
The book follows Tatya as she tries to figure out who is killing women who look like her. She is still fairly fresh from an attack from a demon so she is also trying to deal with the aftermath on top of this.

What did I like? I fell in love with both leading characters, Tatya is a strong, even to the point of headstrong all with good reasons but she really dominated the story. Vanse was the ultimate dream of a man and the way that he loved Tatya was so romantic. Almost from the beginning of time. Each book is addicting, I just could not stop reading. Even though this is an epic paranormal thriller it still felt real due to the details that the author included with the Native Americans. Being one I was very impressed with her work in this area.
What will you like? A strong, well written, thoroughly research material, an addicting storyline and awesome characters. Incredible action, mysticism in a paranormal thriller that will have you glued to the pages and won’t want it to end. Remarkable details and descriptions that keep the edge going but you right in the midst of the action. An extraordinary love story that defies time. Check out the other books that this author has written, she really knows how to put the pen to the paper for urban fantasy’s! I received this from the author for an honest review with no other compensation.

The story continues
Vampires bane continues the Kala trilogy that started with healers magic. It has been some time since our protagonists send the demon back to hell, and healing has begone. Their peace doesn’t last long though when murdered women starts to turn up. In this story we hear more about Vanes background with his many thousands of years of existence. We also follow as their slow and tragic love story continues. It’s another dark book, full of war, fights and sacrifice. It’s well written with a world that keeps developing and lots of action. While I usually try to stay away from books this dark, I found it fascinating with all of the descriptions of shaman traditions and the way it was weaves into the story. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next and last book in this Trilogy.
The narration of the audio version of the book are well done, since the narrator does a good job changing her voice and in general brings the story to life. Like I often do, I bought the ebook version and read that one too, when I wanted to go over things in more details. The audio version was given to me doe free though, and since I loved the book, I am leaving a voluntary review.

Book 2 is even better than the first.
Really enjoy all of Teagans work.
I was thinking ‘True Blood’ & ‘Twilight’ in the vampire or werewolf who should she choose.... not that the werewolf is an option yet but I think he will be soon! I can feel their attraction even if they can’t!
Lots of action. This girl never gets a break!

After the defeat of the demon in the first book, Tatya is back in town and ready to open a healing store. But things don't go simply for her, first she finds a dead woman when out for a run and things go haywire from there.
A bit heaver on the romance than book 1, but not so much that I dropped it (I hate romance books)
