About the Diptiman Ray Chaudhuri, Professor, Department of Electronic Science, University of Calcutta obtained his B.Sc.(Hons) in Physics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata in the year 1969; B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta in the year 1972 and 1974 respectively. He was awarded the Ph.D (Tech.) degree from the University of Calcutta in the year 1980. He joined the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta as a Lecturer in the same year. He has been instrumental in setting up the Department of Electronic Science, University of Calcutta and is one of the founder members of the said Department.
