The characters are so well written, flawed and redeemable; you will love them all. The writer has a very good grasp on PTSD and it's symptoms; hypervigilance, flashbacks, and night terrors. If you know someone who suffers the descriptions are accurate, though everyone's' experience varies in degrees.
The men are not knights on white horses, but the honour and courage each has are admirable.
The women are not damsels in distress, but strong women who can rescue themselves. Put those two combinations together and you have relationships with sparks.
I've gone on to purchase the rest of the series. I cannot put it down.

I couldn’t wait to read Luke & Cassies story but first I had to read about Marc & Angelina and then Ryder & Megan. Marc finally found out about who he belonged to, he had to do it the hard way and the long way. Ryder suffers from ptsd hard out, but Megan’s there for him, I like that story. Finally I got to Luke & Cassie and we get to read about her story, it took forever but she finally fought her demons and married Luke twice. And guess what....she can talk to animals, yup that went a little crazy. Along the way Adam & Karla have their babies, Savannah & Damien are hapu and Grants still a mystery
