Now I'm sad I didn't include this in my latest yaoi order, like why is Kashima Chiaki's work so AMAZING! I had so much fun reading this. I think I giggled and laughed through most of it and I became so fond of Misaki and Mikado (their bantering). And of course when the feels hit, they hit me right in the kokoro. I feel like Misaki's backstory is used so often that I should be immune to it but there was just something about the story as a whole that just made it more powerful. Also major kudos to Mikado's words when Misaki was having that breakdown (you da man!)
By far the most decent and 'mature' yaoi that I've read this month, well they're adults, not high schoolers, lol. Although, the part Mikado said he's not gay while he could fuck one should be corrected, you're bi, Mikado, not straight or GFY (gay for you)... I hate Anezaki's ex, horrible cheater should go to hell.
Anyway, it's funny actually Mikado linked Anezaki's 8 kind colognes with 8 sex buddies, lol. It never crossed his mind that some people love to collect perfumes and use different perfume everyday to work, like me, lol. A friend of my friend is a lipstick collector, she has 100++ lipsticks and use different color every 6 hours, lol.
I tried giving this manga a chance, but I just couldn’t get into it. I usually enjoy office romance, but not this one. However, the extra chapter did help ease some of my disappointment a bit.
At first I didn't like this. The first chapter was not fun at all so I was considering dropping it but I'm glad I decided to give it a chance.
Anezaki was such a sad character. He had absolutely no self worth and he'd come to live his life believing that his desires were not worth shit just because he's a gay man. That's such a terrible way to live your life.
It was like he thought he couldn't dream of having a happy, healthy and normal relationship with another person because he was a gay man. So, I think that's why he was able to easily fall in love with Mikado, the only other man who ever treated him nicely.
Honestly, I don't really have much confidence in their relationship. I like to imagine my couples will spend the rest of their lives with each other after the book ends but I don't really see it in this case. And I think that's all right.
Anezaki just needs to know that he can have more than he thought was possible. So, even if it may not end up with them getting married somewhere in the book universe, I think it would have been a great experience for Anezaki.

yup , the case of one-sided love. which i can relate, because i always fall for guy who is (extremely) nice to me and add my face type (glasses, good guy vibe, cheerful, or serious but with sense of humor).
Love this one! Is an enemies to lovers in a work office! The mc hates his boss because he's always making him to overwork... so he could record a very intimate video of him and uses that to blackmail him...

It's been awhile since i've read yaoi, (i'm just shelving past reads) and this one reminded me why I love them.
Sure the plot is forgettable, it's nothing I haven't read before, but I was hooked at the beginning. I just like my seme and uke this way (rather than the crying uke type).
"Because I'm gay. It's my fault for only being able to go with guys."
I often find it easier to slip into these characters and experience it for the first time. The hopelessness and redemption. I always fall for the cool ones with nice expressions, broken smiles and those in need of a hug.
To the gang rape scene: Honestly, I have read much worse so it doesn't faze me anymore. Although the ex is a total scum. Not recommended to those easily triggered by this.
I sense drama ahead in their relationship so I'm glad it (the story) ended right there.
3.75 stars. It's standard workplace enemies-to-lovers rom-com fare (sort of-- you'll see what I mean), so nothing that happened was unexpected, but Mikado is a fun character. I wish they gave Misaki some personal interests/hobbies of his own other than drinking, but overall, he's likeable enough. I also [SPOILERS] wish there was no random alley rape scene and then that dub-con scene right after that (both involve Misaki, but neither involve Mikado), because you could have gotten the same point across in a less gross way. And then afterward, it was just brushed aside so easily! Then again, this is yaoi, so no surprises there! I liked the hopeful, but slightly open-ended ending, which is weird, 'cause I normally hate open endings.
I loved this manga. This is so realistic and yet holds the essence of shounen-ai and/or yaoi. One of the main characters is gay whilst the other is not and the story revolves around them overcoming their own insecurities and becoming a happy couple.
4/10 The dubcon in the first chapter ruins their wholesome relationship. I must add what's with the "iM NoT gaY bUT i LovE u..." narrative. Like?? If you, identifying as a man, like him you aren't straight.........
It was interesting seeing how it started off with blackmail and hatred towards another and seeing them fall for each other. Lack of communication led to misunderstanding but they cleared it up. I enjoyed the development

liked the dynamic between the couple but falls victim to some common BL issues such as the near the end. the reveal for how the uke behaves was surprisingly more nuanced than i expected from something like this though but nothing too deep
