Back to the What Happens at College series where there is drama, sorrow, pain, abuse, drugs, alcohol, friendships, courtships, hookups, family, and a lot more. We find college life was a fall back for Riley Murphy. She finds herself in a situation she was not anticipating. She also finds that she finds friends both good and bad ones. This was a very realistic way to look at college life and life in general. You make plans and those plans have a way of showing you that the plan was not the one meant for you. Riley also find that she needs a friend she could confide in but not wanting it to be new friends that don’t understand. In comes Cam and their complicated and not complicated relationship. These two find that friendship could be the be thing that happens to them but where could this friendship between two very different people lead.

M.L. Sparrow make college life real and also allows for you to fall in to the lives of the characters and make a connection with them. I have read the other book of this series and I would have to say that if you are a realist when you read you will find that this series sticks very close to the actual possibilities of life.

ML Sparrow really shines brightest with her What Happens at College Series. I have really enjoyed this book as well as the first in the series, Player. I believe you could probably read these out of order, or as stand-alone novels, but I would recommend book one for sure. It was a five-star read as well, and I think it enriches a story when you can read them all in order and fully enjoy the series progression. I know I am anxiously awaiting book #3 to drop.

In Flirt we get the story of Riley Murphy and Cameron Lucas, or Cam. Riley is struggling to figure out what to do with her life after a really difficult situation leaves her searching for a purpose in her formative college years. While she thought she would do gymnastics forever, life has other plans. Life really takes her through some difficult things before she really gets to finding out what will be good for her, and where she belongs. I liked that this wasn’t portrayed as easy, in fact it was really some trying situations that Riley faces. This made this much more realistic and relatable for the reader.

Riley and Cam are two very different people. While Riley is living a life that could lead to permanent damaging consequences, Cam is the opposite. He feels for her, but also has a love for family and his faith. They have known each other for a long time, meeting and becoming childhood friends as children. They both feel like there is something more to this friendship between them. Will Riley leave her reckless path that she is on, for stability with a great guy like Cam? Can they have a romantic relationship in the end?

This book will grip you from page one to the very end while hitting you in all the right feels, at all the right times. I didn’t want to put it down, and found myself finishing this in one sitting. I can’t wait to see who will be featured in the next novel!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I love a good college romance but this story exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book to the What Happens on Campus series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are prior characters in this book as well. I was hooked on this story right from the beginning. It only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible book.

Riley Murphy is known as the party girl. Ever since her accident she only cares about is getting high and forgetting her problems. Riley hits rock bottom but she feels alone even her sister is not talking to her. She is in complete shocked when Cameron Lucas a guy from the past comes to help her. He has always had a crush on Riley. They are totally the complete opposites. Riley is very popular but Cam is a little nerdy. They start to get to know each other and sparks start to fly. Is Cam the man that can turn Riley’s life around or will she destroy them both?

I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, suspense, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters right from the start. Riley is a mess in the beginning because she was hurting on the inside. I loved reading how she grew. Cam is the perfect nice guy. He is very smart but also has a heart. The way he treats Riley will make your heart melt. This talented author will keep you at the edge of your seat until the end. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next. I am now going to read this first book with Chloe’s and Parker’s story.

FLIRT is the 2nd book in the the "What Happens on Campus Series" and I enjoyed this book better than book 1.

Riley is a trust fund kid, a former athlete and identical twin who feels like the "bad one". Riley makes decisions that are not in her best interest because she "liked the pain. It was a small punishment for all the things she'd done wrong." Cameron is the complete opposite of Riley. He's a cautious guy who takes his school work seriously and knows what's at stake if he doesn't pay attention. On paper they do not work.

I enjoyed this book better than the first one and I'm not sure exactly why. It's not like I can say the story telling was different or the flow was smoother. It's just a feeling for me. The characters are well developed and the secondary characters still have stories that are being told in the background, which made it fun to read as well. There are people who I think are going to "couple off" as this series continues and I look forward to see what comes next for everyone involved.

I will continue reading this coming of age series.

A side note: If you have someone in your life whose behavior drastically changes - please speak up. If you suspect that someone is participating in risky behavior - please speak up. There is a topic in this story that Cameron handles with the perfect balance of understanding and caring. It was nice to see a young character speak with such wisdom.

Amazing!!! Absolutely loved it. Flirt takes you on a journey of Riley's struggles after the end of her gymnastics Career from realising she has an addiction and using it to chase away the memories to finding something worth fighting for and hold on it.
Riley's loving life now she's at university and free to do what she wants and isn't tied down. She can party whenever she likes and meet as many boys as she likes but what happens when the parties over and she begins to realise that she's always after the next one. Cam's been there in the background for her since they where kids. Soon Riley realises that none of the other boys she spends her time flirting with look out for her the way Cam does but when disaster strikes Cam's family is Riley strong enough to be there for him too or are her own problems to big.
Love this series and can't wait to see what comes next. Check out Player the first book in the series that's only 99p at the minute or get a free copy when you sign up for M.L Sparrow newsletter https://mailchi.mp/640fa080f5e1/mlspa...

Flirt: A College Romance ( What Happens on Campus Series)
By ML Sparrow
Rated 5 stars.

Ok so I started this book thinking I knew what was going and where the story was going. I was wrong. This follows the story of Riley (who we met in book 1-Player). She is a former gymnast who had plans on going for the gold-Olympian style- but her dreams were crushed because of an injury. So now we find her in college ( eighteen months later). She is failing school because she turned into a party girl. Alcohol, drugs and sexual gratification are daily events in her life. She has sunk so low.

Behind all that she is lost...she feels she has no friends and doesn’t know what to do with her life now. So here come the emotions...from the reader. At first I liked Riley but as I got to know her lifestyle..I detested her. Then once I started seeing her through Cameron’s eyes..I felt...damn this girl! She needs help! Let’s do this!

That brings me to Cam. How he can watch this girl do all that in front of him and still love her...that’s beyond me. I think he sees the girl she used to be (the one he fell in love with) and wants that girl back. The question is how long will Cam put up with Riley’s crap before he says she isn’t worth it?
Cam is shy..in the presence of others he keeps his head and eyes trained on the floor. He bunches his shoulders and seems to curl in on himself. He is the nerd and the geek to Riley’s high popularity. What do they have in common? Opposites do attract applies here. I have to give proper attention to Cam’s character. He impressed me with his desire and tenacity. His love and honor. He is a great friend.

there were secondary characters here I loved and couldn’t get enough of and others I didn’t i disliked so much. I loved getting to hang out with Parker and Chloe again. See how things are going with them as well as Catching up with Jet, Terri and a few of the newer characters. Without the support of these and other...this story would have a different ending.

So this story brought out some emotions. It deals with alcohol and drug use. There are some dark times. It’s not the light hearted story I previously read From Book 1. The characters were different and it was nice to see them grow. The story .well like I said earlier I wasn’t sure what I got myself into, was well written. I only had one issue and that’s near the end. Giving Riley only a couple weeks is setting her up for failure. Don’t make Cam be responsible for all those issues again.

Copy received from author for an honest review - thank you.

Flirt is the first book from this author that I have read. I am not much into reading college aged books these days - because, old fart here - however the blurb for Flirt intrigued me so I gave it a go.

I love the connection between our leading lady Riley and her Cam. Their history makes it all the more interesting.

I am not going to lie - I found Riley rather unlikable for a lot of the book. Not so much the character per se, but her actions to towards those around her. I could understand her struggles, but man I don't know how they put up with her a lot of the time.

I think the growth in her character is what made the book for me. I couldn't help but like her by the end of the book.

There are some great secondary characters. I adore Riley's roommate Chloe, and will be making time to go back and read her story (Player) in the future.

Frustrating, emotional, sweet - Flirt has a little bit of it all.

I will be reading more of Ms Sparrow's work in the future.

Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L Sparrow. This book can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I can honestly say that I enjoyed it so much that I will be going back and diving into book one the first chance I get! This is one of the better college romances that I’ve read to date. It had everything you could want, and then some! I was so engrossed in it that I flew through the whole book in a matter of hours.
As with the other books of Ms. Sparrows that I have read, this book is beautifully written- the storyline definitely pulls you in and before you know it you’re hooked. The characters are so superbly crafted- not merely words on a page, they actually come to ‘life’ under Ms. Sparrows gifted fingers- becoming fully realised and complex individuals who are realistic and believable- with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. This is yet again another style and ‘genre’ from some of Ms. Sparrows other books and prove just how talented she truly is- as she seems to be able to write any subject, any genre… and do it incredibly well.
Riley Murphy’s life had been turned upside down after a devastating incident. She ends up attending university in Texas, where her sister is also enrolled. She manages to form a close friendship with her roommate and is looking forward to the freedom that college life offers. As her social life ramps up, Riley seems set on a course of self-destruction- large does of alcohol, drugs, and college boys quickly become her focus and she begins to lose control.
Cameron Lucas (Cam) has known Riley since they were children and he’s loved her all this time. But will he be able to help her through this, especially when it seems she isn’t willing to help herself? What was the incident that upended her life and set her on a self-destructive path? Will she find her way again, or will her demons win out in the end? What does the future hold for these two?
Another brilliant read from this gifted writer!

Thank you, Ms. Sparrow!

Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 2)
By: M.L. Sparrow
5 out of 5 stars

The story Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Book 2) by M.L. Sparrow is a contemporary/new adult/romance book. This is the second book in a series and I loved the story just as much as the first one. It is the story of Riley Murphy and Cameron Lucas. They are two people whose lives couldn’t be more different. They are both attracted to each other and have feelings for each other. One of them is taking a dangerous path in life. What does the future hold for these two? Will their differences and the life choices of one lead to these two ending their relationship or will they find a way to stay together? This is a book that when reading you feel as if you are back in college. Reading about the characters makes you think back to a time when balancing education and the need to party had very blurry lines. Riley is a young woman whose promising career is over and she now looks for other ways to feel the high that she once had. When reading about her I could tell that she is in pain. Cameron is a young man that has always cared about Riley and he now finds himself in a relationship with her. Family and faith are important to him. He wants to learn all there is to know about Riley and who she really is. This is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. It will make you think about what you would do if you found yourself in the same situations as Riley and Cameron. I also loved that many of the characters in the first book were brought forward. I enjoyed their interactions with Riley, Cameron, and each other. This is a well-written story that I highly recommend reading. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Flirt by M. L Sparrow is the second book in her What Happens on Campus series, following familiar characters, introduced in the first book Player. All books in the series can be read as standalones, as each book focuses on a different character from the series. In Flirt you still get to see snippets of Chloe and Parker’s adorable relationship, but it primarily focuses on her roommate Riley and her struggles with addiction. This story does contain scenes of drug and alcohol abuse, but does not glorify them. Whilst I overall enjoyed the book, it was very cliché and felt like an episode of Gossip Girl or the OC. Riley was rich and turned to drugs and alcohol after quitting gymnastics after an accident. I really really disliked her as a main character, as she proved to be a selfish, spoilt brat. She abused and manipulated those around her over and over again, that had me yelling at the book. But in saying all of that, it also made her realistic, she refused to seek help, or carried on like nothing was wrong. Having a main character that is full of vices, makes the story more compelling and engaging, as you can see the struggles of addiction take hold of her over and over again. I still think Cam deserves better though, as Riley proved to be selfish throughout her whole life, and that kind of character never changes in people. The real story I want to see is Payton and Dawson, they were adorable in their small encounters together.
Flirt is a great book to read when you’re craving some YA angst. It has fun and quirky writing, a great set of characters (except Riley) that have very natural and organic relationships. The story also features a great plot of overcoming one’s inner demons, and self-growth.
Highly recommend to anyone that loved the OC or Gossip Girl, or contemporary YA fiction.

Flirt: A College Romance (What Happens on Campus Series) by M.L. Sparrow
5 out of 5 stars
Flirt is book in What Happens On Campus series written by M.L. Sparrow and it the second book that I have read buy this author. Flirt is an adult sports /nerd romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. The characters are well written and are mature for their ages especially what they have been through. The plot was believable with college kids and their struggles and triumphs. We also get to see the awesome characters from book one Player….
Things aren’t what they appear to be Riley Murphy has to give up her promising gymnastics career due to a devastating injury, so she decides to join her twin sister at St Joseph’s University in Texas. Finding a best friend in her roommate, Chloe, she nonetheless finds herself going off the rails as she indulges in drugs, alcohol and boys.
Riley realizes with all the partying she has done that it turns into something she can’t control… Too ashamed to confide in her friends or family, and with a boyfriend who does nothing but feed her addictions, the person she turns to is Cameron Lucas, someone she knew as a child.
Cam has loved Riley since he was a kid and used to go to work with his mama at the Murphy estate, but she was always so far out of his league. Now he’s beginning to realize that he never really knew her in the first place… However, that realization only deepens his feelings.
But the question is, how far is he willing to go to help someone who won’t help them self? And can he discover the demons driving her to self-destruct? Can Cam save Riley? Will they have a happily ever after or a tragic ending.
I highly recommend this book/ series…

Flirt: A College Romance by M.L. Sparrow is the second book in the What Happens On Campus Series. This book can be read as a standalone although this series is one that is well worth reading – don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to go back and read book one.
Riley had everything set out for her. Her whole future centred on her gymnastics career. Until one day it didn’t. When a devastating injury leaves her unable to perform she knows she has to give up her dream. Deciding to join her sister at university things quickly go from bad to worse. Riley soon finds herself indulging a little too much in drugs alcohol and men. Something she thought she had control over until, again, she didn’t.
Riley is too embarrassed to speak to her friends and family, ashamed of what they will think. Instead she turns to someone she knew before.
Cam has always had feelings for Riley, but she always seemed so out of reach. But when she confides in him about her life, and what it has become since giving up gymnastics, he soon learns that not everything he thought was true. His feelings for her deepen as time goes on. But is he what she needs? Will he be able to help her? He has to decide whether chasing the girl of his dreams is worth everything he has to go through?
This was such a good book. I really enjoyed the first one and this book was just as good. It dealt with some difficult issues but was done so in such a good way that it was never too much. It felt like you were really taken on the journey with Riley, really taken deep into her emotions. Cam was such a great character to read about as well. The two of them together helped to develop the story and keep it flowing. A well written engaging book. I cannot wait to see what else there is to come.

Flirt: A College Romance is the 2nd book in the What Happens On Campus series by ML Sparrow. This book can be read as a standalone but as the same characters appear in each book in my opinion you get a better reading experience if you read all the books as you get to learn so much more about the characters.
Our heroine in Flirt is Riley who we met in book 1 as the roommate of Chloe. In this book we get a more detailed look at Riley. Riley was a top gymnast destined for Olympic gold when she suffered a bad injury which ended her career. She’s now at college and has become the typical wild child. Pre-college she was a virgin and tea total. Now she’s very promiscuous and constantly partying. She is now dependent on both alcohol and drugs to get her through the day.
Enter the gorgeous Cameron Lucas. Cameron has known Riley since they were young kids. Cameron has always had a bit of a thing for Riley and wants to help her out.
This is a great story showing the damage that drugs can cause, both to the person taking them and those in their life. The story is hard hitting and deals with this difficult issue in a great way.
I’ll be totally honest and say that I did not like Riley as a character, which in my opinion is testament to how well this is written. I’m pretty sure that the reader isn’t meant to like someone who constantly lies and thinks only of herself and where her next hit is coming from.
I loved getting updates on Chloe and Parker from the first book to see how their relationship is still developing.
Overall, I have loved this series so far and I look forward to reading more about this group of people as they go through college.

Flirt: A College Romance, the second book in What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow is a contemporary adult romance that hits it completely out of the park. Following the story of Riley and Cameron, who are undeniably attracted to each other but who couldn’t be more different than each other. Riley is a rising star, that loses everything in an instant, who now is turning to other ways to get the high that she used to get from performing. Cameron has always cared about Riley, and she has always rivaled with his love of family and faith. When she starts to spiral out of control it will be up to Cameron if he can pull her back from the brink or have to let her drowned on her own. What does the future hold for these two when one of them starts down a dangerous road? When the differences that didn’t really matter, suddenly become too much, will the end of the road be the only option for Riley and Cameron? This book was one that I couldn’t put down once I started it. I related to both sides of this relationship, from the highs and lows, and could remember a time in my life when I was both Cameron and Riley. Sparrow really knocked this story out of the park, part in parcel with the rest of this series. If you are looking for a story with characters that will make you both laugh and cry in turn, a story line so vivid that it pulls you in than this is definitely a book for you, and a series that you need to add to your collection today! I can’t wait to see where Sparrow takes this series in the future, because I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

Flirt is a book about a college student struggling to find her way; I think it's super hard when something changes your life forever, especially when you can't continue what you thought you would do. In this case  Riley Murphy gymnastics career is over, which personally I think is one of the hardest sporting events in history. It takes YEARS to do what men and women when it comes to gymnastics. So learning that you suddenly can't do it anymore is truly devastating.

So what does every college student tend to do when their dream suddenly ends? Make bad decisions. I certainly didn't enjoy that aspect of Flirt, I felt like it was a important component of Riley's story and I get why it was included, but I really didn't enjoy reading about it. However to ease that uncomfortableness comes in the form of Riley's childhood friend Cameron Lucas. Things get interesting to stay the least, especially when suddenly you see someone you grew up with in a different light and immediately things change between them. Things get super interesting once this occurs.

If you like college romances with angsty drama, Flirt is the read for you. I liked it a lot, however the writing and pace didn't always hold my attention. But I feel like this issue will improve with each book ML Sparrow continues and I look forward to her future releases.

Flirt: A College Romance (What happens on Campus #2)
By M.L. Sparrow
5 stars

I’ve got to be honest this book was not at all what I expected. I thought I had got it all figured out but I was so wrong, so, so wrong. After reading (and loving) book 1 in the series I knew I wanted to know more about Riley, she was in the background as Chloe’s friend and roommate but I just knew her story would be an interesting one but the author kind of broke my heart a little. I just wanted to give Riley the biggest hug ever and get her to see what she was doing to herself and the people who loved her. There were also quite a few times I wanted to shout at her and tell her to open her eyes. She was a far more complex character than I anticipated and I think the author did an amazing job with her story. I felt like I could really empathise with Riley at times and that was through the great writing and development of her character. Not only did my heart break for Riley but also Cameron. He was just the nicest person ever, everything he did he did because he was in love with Riley. He looked after her, he tried to help her – he was such a gentleman. I absolutely adored him.
There were some great twists in this story but the overwhelming thing for me was just the way in which the story was written I really felt the struggle of the characters. I love how the author set the scene for the next story in the series and I can’t wait to read more about these characters!!

What a great story! Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. You can read this book as a standalone but I would recommend that you read this in sequence. So this story follows Riley and her journey with loss of a career, addiction and finding who she is. This story also follows Cameron. The boy that has been in love with Riley since he could remember. While Riley goes through her tough times she comes to find love with Cameron. Cameron really helps her with her growth and shows her what true love means. Riley was headed on her way to the Olympics as a gymnast when she hurt herself and wasn’t able to continue her career. So she decided to go to college with her twin sister. Those two couldn’t be any different! But college wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. Riley met a guy who introduced her to all kinds of addictions. This story was definitely a roller coaster but thankfully one that has a HEA. There weren’t too many sexy scenes. This story didn’t need a whole lot of them. But the ones that were there were pretty steamy. Addiction is difficult for anyone, even a rich girl that had huge aspirations. But its how you deal with it that counts and that’s what this book is all about. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I would recommend this series to anyone!

Flirt: A Campus Romance (What Happens on Campus #2)
By ML Sparrow
This was a great read for me. I really enjoyed the first book so I was hoping this one would be just as good, and I wasn't disappointed. The author did an amazing job making sure there were a diverse group in this college coming of age romance. This story dis touch on a couple of serious issues and I thought they were well written. There was also really good friendships and some laughs along the way. Cam has been in love with Riley for as long as he can remember, but they come from different backgrounds. Riley is dealing with some issues from her past which is causing her to make decisions that she may not have made before. Can Cam and Riley find love? Can Riley work out her issues. Riley just wants to be close to her twin sister Terri but emotions run high between these two, can they find some middle ground? To find out the answers to all these questions you must read this book!!! This book can be read as a standalone but the first one is great so my suggestion is to read both you will have more background information and get a better idea of the characters. I highly recommend this book. Once you start reading you will not be able to put it down!! I can't wait to read the next one!!!

Flirt: A College Romance by M L Sparrow
Four Stars

Flirt: A College Romance is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M L Sparrow. Although this book is the second in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I would suggest you read the series in order, but just because the first book is also very good and you would be missing out on a great book. This college romance had me hooked from the very first page. This book if full of romance, suspense, understanding and compassion. This story does deal with some drug abuse, that being said, I believe the author did a great job with the topic.
This story features Riley and Cameron, who have know each other since childhood, but come from two different worlds. Riley is on top of the world, then a career ending injury ends her gymnastic career and she makes the decision to go to college to get a new life and career path. However, once she gets to college her life derails when she starts partying, taking drugs, drinking and sleeping around. As her life is spiraling out of control, Cameron, who Riley knew as a child, steps up to help her turn her life around. This book is full of ups and downs, I was crying at a few point and laughing at outs. If you love a good college romance this is the summer read for you. I love this book, author and series and look forward to se where Sparrow takes us next.

Flirt is the 2nd book in the What Happens On Campus series by ML Sparrow. I didnt read the first, and really enjoyed the book, so it can definately be read as a stand alone book. The characters are realistic, dealing with real life issues. I always like books like that, and highly recommend this one as well.
Riley and Cam grew up together, but couldnt be more different. She comes from a wealthy family, has a trust fun, and was nearly in the Olympics. She likes to have fun and drink, do drugs and hookup with random guys. Cam is poor, in college on scholarship, and tutoring in his spare time just to have money for food and clothes. He is a virgin and studies in his spare time, rarely going out at all. His mother works for Riley's parents, and he has been in love with her since puberty.
When Riley gets injured, and gives up her dream in gymnastics, she decides to follow her twin sister to college in Texas. It so happens Cam is at the same school, but she hardly remembers him. I'm not sure if it is fate, destiny, or just plain luck, but their lives cross paths and its time to discover who they really are. Is Riley really the woman Cam built her up to be? Can Riley get her life straight and be happy and healthy again?

Flirt is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series by M.L. Sparrow. This book picks up around where Player left off, but this book can be read as a standalone (recommend reading Player). Riley is a little lost after losing her gymnastics career and wanted to try the college life. Well, she tried the wrong college life – drinking, drugs dealer “boyfriend” and sleeping around. Cameron is your typical good guy; he loves math and science, doesn’t drink much and go to church. Cameron has always been in love with Riley since they somewhat grow up together. Riley needed someone to put her on the right track before something really bad happened but is Cameron the right person and why is Riley really acting like this?

I really liked this book; Riley and Cameron were just the right balance for each other. At times I couldn’t believe that Riley was so selfish and didn’t think of anyone else. I wanted to smack her friends for waiting so long to do something about it. But I guess you have to let someone fall before you help to pick them up.

I’m looking forward to the next book but I have a feeling I’m not going to like what happened to Terri. A box of tissue will be on standby.

Flirt by M L Sparrow

Five Stars

I can’t believe what I just read. It was so real and raw I felt like I was living the author’s words. Riley has an addiction but she doesn’t see it that way. Cam has loved Riley for a really long time but doesn’t think she notices him. I loved every word of this story because it told a story that we need to hear. Kids are out here suffering and we have adults feeding them drugs. The pressure these kids feel to be perfect to perform perfectly is heavy. The author did a great jib highlighting the life of young adults on two different paths trying to meet in the middle. Cam wants to help Riley but it seems like she is just dragging him down. She doesn’t believe she needs help but clearly something needs to change. I felt angry at her parents and how they enabled her. The mom should’ve known that the manager was shady and kept him away. Over all it was a great story that made you want to hold Riley and tell her there was a better way and that you were there for her.

Flirt by ML Sparrow is book two of the What Happens on Campus series. This book is a college romance that can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the first book as you’ll have all the context you need going into this book. All the characters are pretty intertwined as well. Plus, they are just really good books!

Flirt is Cameron and Riley’s story. Cameron is briefly introduced in book one but he’s back and he is trying hard to be noticed. Cameron has loved Riley for what seems like forever. Watching her at school is torture and he’s sure she won’t notice him again.

Riley is too focused on having fun but that quickly turns to something she can’t control. As shameful as she feels, she doesn’t think she has anyone she can turn to until Cam. Can Cam help Riley or will her demons overpower Cam’s love for Riley?

I really enjoyed this book, almost as much as I loved the first one. This book was able to evoke a lot of feeling from fear of Riley’s self-destruction to hope that she’d be able to let Cam in. This book truly has it all.

Flirt is the second book I've read by this author and this book was as good as I thought it would be. We first met Riley in book 1, Player, of this addictive new series. It's very clear then that she's still struggling with whatever happened to her before she arrives at college, and this pain leads her to make some very questionable decisions. I was left wanting to know more, so dived straight into this book and I couldn't stop reading from the first page. Riley is my favourite character so far, and I just wanted to jump into the story and give her the biggest of hugs. We also met Cam in book 1, but only briefly, so we don't get to know him until this book, and he's another guy that you'll find yourself falling in love with. This book deals with some difficult issues, and will take you on an emotional ride, but it's a book not to be missed. Flirt can be read as a standalone, but you're definitely going to want to read book 1 if haven't already because you won't be able to get enough of these great characters.

Flirt is book two in the What Happens on Campus series by M. L. Sparrow. This series is a brilliant insight into the varied turbulent and difficult stages of early adulthood. This author captures the headaches and headaches facing young people today. It is a highly moving and entertaining experience to read these rambunctious and often frustrating characters embarking on the trail to being a grown up and the complexities of young love.

Riley has demons. And issues. And at times I wanted to shake some sense into her. Cam was a sweetheart that was almost too perfect. I experienced a myriad of emotions and admittedly I may have given Riley a piece of my mind a time or two. She lacked the maturity that Cam seemed to have been born with, caused mainly by the dramatically different way the grew up. All of these dramas and situations came together to provide such a perfectly put together romance that lacked nothing and gave everything. A series that just gets better. 5 stars

Flirt, by M.L. Sparrow, is the second book in the What Happens on Campus series. This is a contemporary new adult/college romance which features characters introduced within the first book of the series as supporting and/or minor characters. Flirt is Riley's story - in Player, Riley was the life of the party, all out and no holding back female. I was excited that her story was next, there just had to be more than the girl testing her limits/extremes at the start of the series. In Flirt, we get a much deeper view into her and where this story takes her, bringing in Cam and what impact he may or may not have in her life. I liked the college setting the author chose for this series. It gives us something more along with the drama and romance that is the underlying theme of this story while tackling some tough topics. At parts through the story, my heart broke for the characters. M.L. Sparrow did a great job in this story/series and look forward to reading more.

Flirt is the second book in M.L. Sparrow’s coming of age series What Happens on Campus. I have read the first book and I was looking forward to this book a lot as I liked Riley in the first book and wanted to hear her story. I think you could read it as a standalone by I personally prefer to read them in order if possible …
Flirt is the story of Riley Murphy and Cameron Lucas. They have known each other since they were kids and I tell you, they do not come from the same background. Riley is living her life on the edge now as she is facing the consequences of her choices and actions. The writer is making it all so real that you cannot help but feel for her. Cameron is the opposite – he is as responsible as one can be.
The writer takes us on a journey of finding oneself and dealing with the consequences of one’s actions and she keeps us on the edge of our seat while doing so … I am looking forward to Riley’s sister’s story that is next in the series!

Flirt is book two in the "“What Happens On Campus” series by ML Sparrow.
We first met Riley, and her twin sister Terri in book one titled “Player”.
While this book is part of a series, it can be read as a stand alone.
Flirt is Riley’s story.

Riley was a brilliant gymnast with a promising future. After a devastating injury, Riley enrolls in college at St. Joeseph’s. Riley starts to take a self destructive path, using guys, drugs and alcohol to numb herself to reality.
Cameron Lucas has been in love with Riley for as long as he can remember. Cam quickly figures out that Riley is fighting some personal demons, after he witnesses her spiraling out of control.
Can Cam help Riley save herself? Does Riley want to be saved?

I really enjoyed Riley’s story. I had emotional tug for her and the battles she was facing. Talk about the feels! I really loved how well written this book was. The emotion was palpable.

I'm absolutely in love with this series. ML Sparrow's writing is flawless and she hooks you in these books so hard that you never want to stop reading.

This book was about Riley and Cameron. Riley is in a very difficult part in her like after going through some major life changing issues. She thought her road was mapped out for gymnastics but life decided to throw her a curve ball. She's stuck and lost and doesn't know a good way to deal with all the emotions and let downs. Riley is on the reckless path that can permanently damage her life.

Cameron is the opposite of Riley in which he literally will become her rock so she's able to rebuild herself. They've been friends for a very long time so he knows and understands everything she is going through.

I loved this book. It was gritty, raw, and real. I cannot wait to be sucked into more! This series needs to be on everyone's must read!

Flirt is a new adult romance by M.L. Sparrow and the second book in the What Happens on Campus series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Riley was a talented gymnast before her accident, now he is drowning her pain and disappointment in partying. When it gets out of control she starts losing friends and even her sister doesn’t want to deal with her. Cam has had a thing for Riley for a long time and wants to help her, but how do you help someone who doesn’t want to help themselves? Can these two find their happily ever after? Once I started reading this book I wasn’t able to put it down! I loved Cam, he is sweet and has an amazing heart. The author did a great job dealing writing Riley’s addiction problems in a realistic way and her character growth makes her a loveable character even with her darkness. This series is a must read or new adult fans and I look forward to reading more!
