I'm not going to write a whole review for this. I started this series a long time ago when the first book came out. I've been stressing to say the least and I saw the latest installment was out and FO FREE on Kindle Unlimited so I snatched her right up. This isn't a literary masterpiece, the prose are not mind blowing but this series continues to tickle the shit out of me. It's pure entertainment, I can shut my lil brain down and just gorge myself on the guilty pleasures of an easy read.
Favorite of the series by far!!! So again, thought this was the last book ... NOPE! At least, after that cliffhanger, there better be another book bc my heart needs it! I loved this one so much. All the twists and turns, I felt like I was hanging on the edge of my seat the whole book and had no idea in which direction it was going to go. I will say I was VERY pleased with the outcome and totally excited to see where it goes from here!
I wasn't sure what to expect starting to read this book. I am totally team Dominic! I have always loved how his character allows her room to stand on her own two feet making her own decisions and supporting her n9t treating her like something that will break or a child. He is a better fit in my opinion for her. I was blown away by the storyline of this book!! I couldn't put it down having to go through all the twists and turns to know where the story would end up. I cannot wait to see where Bianca Scardoni takes us from here. I hope it isn't a long wait to find out!!! ;-)
Completely and utterly Disappointed!!! Skimmed through it since basically the entire book was of her fighting her "feelings" for Dominic even when her supposedly love was suffering. It made me sick to be honest and I felt Jemma was selfish and weak and this book was not what I thought it would be.

Wow. The author left us at another MAJOR CLIFFHANGER!!! Now I have to wait till the next book to see exactly what happens. This book killed me to read because of the growing relationship between Jemma and Dominic when I really want her to be with Trace. It was sad that we didn't really get many parts with him in this book ( well not including devil-trace). Hopefully the next book will have more of him and Jemma. Another thing I really hated about this book is the way Jemma was portrayed. She supposedly has all this power but it seems like she can't do anything with it except break stuff when she's angry. She seemed very weak in this book and not the strong heroine I know she could be.
One last thing.. Jemma moved on WAY TOO FAST after she killed Trace. It seemed like she wasn't even that sad once she went to see Dominic. Especially since she and Trace were supposed to be soul mate's. It's sad to me that while she was off moving on with Dominic, Nikki of all people was the one who was bringing him back from the dead.

The general idea behind the story is interesting and made me stick through the series. To be completely honest the 3 leads are for lack of a better word, horrible. I don't like any of them. The main female has consistently made horrible choices throughout the whole series. She doesn't learn, she is extremely naive and by the 3rd book I realized that it can't just be ignorance, she must just have a super low IQ. She is constantly trusting the wrong people. She first started out as a character I thought I could get behind but my god, I had to start skimming through often in order to dodge her tantrums and self loathing. The two males leads, well one is manipulative and decided that he does whatever he wants out of love including taking away her free will but apparently, besides throwing a temper tantrum, she seems fine with it. The other is, jeez like half the first book is just dedicated to how beautiful and god like he looks. I have no idea why he even loved her in the first place besides being soulmates. He at least didn't manipulate her but he sure as hell wouldn't let her make her own choices very often. They are both overly possessive and protective to the point of diminishing her and again, besides throwing a tantrum, she rarely does anything about it. *Spoilers* Things that make zero sense: You have someone who can see inside another's mind through touch and yet he never saw Niki's true thoughts about Jemma? Even though it's repeatedly stated how often Niki touches Trace? You don't use Trace to find out if someone is lying? Which would have saved people multiple times? Your boyfriend has access to people who can do locator spells, or shapeshift and track and yet you don't use them to find your GF who was taken? Trace's alt could have come back at any time to warn them like he has done before but doesn't do it. Why? Your soul mate dies a few days prior, and your like, welp, now seems like a good time to make out with Dominic??? There are so many things that do not make any sense in this series, I can't even write them all. There are quite a few characters who get brought in just to further some angle of the plot and then abruptly left behind. I personally would not reccomend this series. There was only one good, intelligent, non-manipulative, honest and sincere character and that was Taylor.....who the writer killed her off. Pass on this series unless you like ignorant, self loathing, broody, manipulative, low iq, tantrum throwing, abusive, insta love, cheating, love triangle, lying characters.
I have been waiting for this book for what feels like FOREVER! And I was so seriously happy that it was finally out and I could read it! I have been having Dominic Huntington withdrawls!
Anywho, I was so excited to get my hands on this book. I read the first three books last year and totally and completely fell in love with this series. Since finishing the first three last year I have started reading more adult, new adult, and erotica. I have NEVER been one for love triangles. Especially love triangles where I am for the hero the heroine doesn't want. In this case I am absolutely in love with Dominic and Jemma wants Trace. -.-
I am guessing because I read more eroticas/adult books now, that was why I was even more upset with this love triangle and the fact that Jemma was a complete fucking idiot this entire book. Like yes, you started the apocolypse; you brought Lucifer to Earth to bring on the end of days. AND he took your boyfriends body as his vessel. Yes, all of that sucks major donkey balls. But like eventually we need to get past it, pull on our big girl panties and figure out wtf to do next. She just constantly felt sorry for herself and I just couldn't get behind that. Books that make females look like a helpless little insignificant human being just irk tf outta me. Because females are amazing and awesome. My favorite type of heroine is a badass who kicks ass and takes names. Yes, she can make mistakes or even have unsure moments where she doubts herself but she still is a fucking B A D A S S! Exhibit A: Aelin Ashryver Galathynius from the Throne of Glass series. I was just wishing throughout reading this whole book that Jemma would be more like Aelin and just handle fucking business. But she didn't until literally the last chapter when she takes her future into her own hands.
I also have to say the fact that almost every. fucking. chapter. starts with a sentence about the rainy weather. It is literally ALWAYS raining. And literally almost all chapters start out with the weather. Wtf. So annoying.
But I still love this story and I will obviously continue to read the books Bianca Scardoni puts out for this series. Mostly because DOMINIC FUCKING HUNTINGTON! :D <3
OMG!!! amazing I loved everything about this book and this series it has surpassed all of my expectations I can't even put it into words how awesome it was very well written.
This author has accomplished in this series what most cannot, when doing a series and that is starting with a really great first book an building the story in such a way that I loved every book equally when looking back on the series. Yet still felt like it was getting better an better as I was reading each book.
Bianca Scardoni You said to let you know in the review if you are doing anything wrong so you can fix it. But I can only say just keep doing what your doing an you have a fan who will always look for your name and read all your books thank you for this awesome series.
Lucifer is loose on Earth and Jemma must find a way to separate him from Trace despite everyone saying it is impossible. Meanwhile, Dominic is pining for her as she focuses on the Trace problem.
I thought this was the end of the series, but nope! Looks like there should be another book. I'm left feeling a little conflicted. Jemma has always been very focused on Trace, who we find out is her soulmate. This book is the first time she finally admits that there more between them than just the bloodbond. Dominic has been steadily growing on me but who can stand in the way of soulmates?? It will be interesting to see how it will all play out.
I was completely involved with this series from the beginning. I was captured by Jemma and how her world was turned upside down when her father died. I fell in love with Trace from the beginning and loved how loyal and open their love was. It had just started to be something when he was ripped away from her. Dominic was the classic bad boy character that held minimal interest for me and received too much attention than his character deserved. The last book was unorganized and had several plots unfinished. I was disappointed in the ending.
I cannot believe that you would choose Dominic as Jemms forever love. I mean he was always there for her, but that’s because Trace never got a chance too.. And to me I feel like Dominic made sure she will always need him by blood bonding her to him, he did it when she was hurt and weak.. I am really hurt and disappointed how even though Trace is Jemm’s soulmate that she didn’t seem to feel the same way or even crave to be around him like she did Dominic.. I couldn’t stop crying for the lost of Trace and for how she seemed to feel more for Dominic and how much it will hurt her to leave him, but her lost of her soulmate wasn’t as heartfelt, it seemed like she was more upset over the guilt of having to kill him.. But still I can’t wait for the next book to come out..
Completely and utterly worth the wait! I love this book. I love these characters. I love this story. And was that a cliffhanger? I look forward to more of this story and more from this author. I savored every chapter. I could've finished sooner but after waiting so long I wanted to take my time. With the hint of more to come, I wait with bated breath, and I'll continue to recommend this story to others. If you need another year for the next, I will happily wait.
This excellent continuation of The Marked Saga brings Jemma's story to a bit of a conclusion, while leaving the door open for the possibility of more of her story to be told in the future.
Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to read this yet (can’t wait for it though!!) but I noticed it has a3 star rating thanks to a previous person leaving a one star for some reason. As another person said, hopefully this was an error—I don’t like to think of readers leaving unflattering reviews/ratings for books they haven’t read. In any case this is me doing my bit to try to get INFERNAL’s rating up somewhere closer to where it should be :)
Yes, I know the book isn't out yet, and I haven't read it... But after seeing a certain unfair rating for an unreleased book, I couldn't help but rate it prematurely. Hopefully the rating was intended for another book and wasn't intentionally targeting INFERNAL, but if it was, then that just seems really cruel to do to the author. :(
I enjoyed first three books! I don't think I've ever read a series ended so badly. Kills everyone off and leaves town. After all the angst for four books, she doesn't kick butt and win, she kills her soulmate and best friend dies. What the heck is that???
I really love this series. It's a fun easy read (or listen) and it's got good characters and good plot development. In this episode, the MCs boyfriend . She needs to save the day and try to rescue him. But her feelings for Dominic keep growing. What's a girl to do? Fun story.
It’s YA, so I’m not expecting much. I don’t know why I do this to myself. Editing needs some work.
However, I was entertained. There were some twists that were welcome.
I never liked Trace. Never. He was a horrible, pretty boy, preppy, popular guy in love with himself. Everything I despise. He was teasing her and rejecting her one moment, cruel and seemingly with Nikki the next...then claiming he cared? I think she just liked his looks and the idea of him.
Dom was cocky jerk at first but he fell for her and then tried to hide it to avoid rejection because all she could think about was Trace, Trace, Trace. He obviously had it bad for her and in his eyes, she could do no wrong. He was loyal all the way, even if she was obsessed with someone else. Yes, he would even break a few rules to get his girl. I got sick of his “angel”, “angel lips” nicknames but, it could be worse. He could be Trace.
If she doesn’t stay with Dom, I will be pissed, but she had better NOT go back to Trace 🤮.
My biggest gripe with YA books is they stay in school (or “training”) forever, and the girl usually crushes on the popular jerk. In the real world, the popular jerk is really a narcissist, abusive, and should be avoided. I am happy the author did something a little different here. I would hate to see Jemma become Trace’s little stepford wifey.

I can’t EVEN figure out what to say about this book or this series. It’s pretty amazing. I am NOT a fan of love triangles or reverse harem or any of that kind of thing, but this author made it work. And it came on gradually enough that it felt plausible and wasn’t a smack in the face.
I don’t want to include any spoilers whatsoever, but I just want to say that the series is well worth the read and will have you thinking and FEELING a lot.
There could be criticisms for the numerous grammatical errors (though they didn’t detract too much, they were obvious). And I suppose some criticism for each of the main characters (D being overbearing & a bit underhanded (though one can argue all the people in Jemma’s life were), T being absent a lot and relatively immature, Jemma being a bit too emotional and rash and honestly? J & T’s ‘relationship’ being too ‘instant’ once it does happen, super boring, annoying and superficial.) But overall, I enjoyed these books and I’d gladly continue to Season 2.
**SPOILER ALERT** First of all I wanna say I am #TEAMTRACE I was SO happy with this book throughout the series, so this last book disappointed me. Jemma was quite annoying during this book, and kept complaining about her stupid ‘love triangle’. She constantly argued with Dominic over serious matters, and then the next minute, threw himself at her. How can it end with her and Dominic together when Trace is her FREAKING SOUL MATE and Dominic is only with her due to some fake blood bond that forces people together. JEMMA DIDN’T KNOW THAT THE BLOOD BOND WAS IRREVERSIBLE AND THAT HER LOVE FOR TRACE WOULD FALTER! IF SHE DID SHE WOULDN’T HAVE DONE IT!! I am so annoyed with this ending. Thank you and goodnight.
I waited a while for this book and I have to say that I was a little disappointed as to how dragged out it was with saving trace. And I started rooting for Dominic like 2 books ago. He’s Always Been there for jemma more so than trace. And at one point I wanted them to get together so I was very happy that it was looking that way. Author should have left it alone jemma going on a trip with her sister and coming back to Dominic. Not leaving us with that suspense of what Nikki is doing. Dominic loves jemma so much and he gone through so many changes and now to finally have them together just to rip them apart I just don’t get the point. Trace is gone and it should have been left alone.
I love this series and each time I finish one of the books I am simultaneously elated and heartbroken that I have to wait for the next one. Congratulations on such and amazing series and another book to add to it.
SPOILER
I could not be happier with the ending. I have always been fully team Dominic and actually ending up hating Trace. However the cliff hanger about Trace coming back? Does that mean another book? I'd love another book as long as Jemma ends up with Dominic , I beg.
Very good end to the series but it surely can’t end like that. I want more. My only gripe were the spelling errors. It was irritating to say the least.
I love this series. That being said, I didn't mean to fall in love with Dominic, but I did. Sorry Trace. Although, I'm still 100% team Trace. I can't see this ending happy because obviously one will be heart broken or permanently passed on. When is the next one Bianca? And how can this end happy?
Jemma is the Princess of Darkness, the Daughter of Hades, and now that the gates to Hell have been opened and Trace is being used to channel Lucifer himself, all bets are off.
Jemma is in a race with Dominic and other friends to try and save Trace before Lucifer erases all of aspects of Trace’s soul and takes over his body completely. The Order instructs Jemma that, as the Daughter of Hades, she is the only one who can return Lucifer to Hell, but she refuses to sacrifice Trace because she believes there must be a way to do both: Banish Lucifer and save Trace.
Jemma is also the only one who can wield the Sword of Angelus, a supernatural weapon forged from the bone of a gargoyle and the essence of an Archangel, and the only way possible to rid the earthly realm of Lucifer. But Jemma is willing to make a deal with the Devil himself if it means she can keep her loved ones safe.
Again, another great installment, much of it focusing on Jemma and Dominic’s evolving relationship. Jemma, however, has some flaws, the biggest of which is her utter inability to think through her actions. She always wants to be the hero and save her friends, when what happens usually ends up making things worse. She’s also terribly moody. I’d have no patience for her.
I’m all about seeing where the story goes, though, so I can cheer on Team Dominic!
I must be a glutton for punishment because I continue to read a series with a main character that I can’t stand. I was hoping the Infernal would of been better - but no surprise when Jemma was still annoying as hell. (No pun intended). Those who read this book will get that :)
Jemma’s character did become stronger in this book, but her conflicted feelings for Dominic while trying to save her soulmate Trace was unbearable. She sees a future with Trace but won’t leave Dominic alone? The gaping holes in the book were annoying as well, what happened to Uncle Karl? The remaining two Roderick sisters? and where does Tess disappear to at all the most important times in the book? Tess is that extra in a movie that won't go away.
These open ended characters makes the series flawed. I feel that Bianca has way too many ideas but doesn’t know how to portray it to the reader correctly. And Lucifer was a terrible, terrible villian. Yes the idea of having him being in Trace's body was brilliant because Tess would never kill her soulmate but besides giving Jemma something to struggle with, he really had no role in this book either.
Will I continue to read this series and will Nikki succeed with Trace? I guess the book ended with a cliffhanger for us both...
Very Disappointed! Jemma's character was portrayed as a weak, confused female that only made mistakes and always made the wrong choices. She a!lowed herself to fall for Dominic, the bad-boy, because of the "blood-bond" that for some forsaken reason could not be broken. That's hard to believe. Meanwhile, while she claims she can't stay away from Dominic because of this magical blood-bond, her so-called "soulmate" Trace (which should be more powerfull than any other bond) is stuck with Lucifer. Yeah, ok...hard to believe the pull is not as strong. I am so disappointed with this book. This book would probably have been good if they found out that the way to remove Lucifer from Trace was to hurt Trace's body (the vessel) enough that would force Lucifer to remove himself from his body then landed into Dominic's body. That way, Dominic would prove the love he claims he has for Jenna by allowing her to put a stake through his heart a d finish both evils. Ugh! It's such a shame how this book turned out when the first 3 books were amazing. I hope the author makes up for it in the next book...if there is one.
