Jake Gray always wanted a real family. He left his own behind when he began his transition, but if he wants a baby he'll need to come off testosterone and get his life in order. The tips he makes as a waiter are barely enough to pay L.A. rent, let alone raise a child. But he’s made his own way for so long that he doesn’t want to rely on others now.

Tristan Bailey makes ends meet and then a bit extra as a B-list actor. He should count his blessings, but it’s hard to see them from inside this closet. The more time he spends at his friends’ charity, the less he wants to pursue this life. And then he bumps into Jake, a runner from a movie Tristan made two years ago. One he wanted to hook up with, but he didn’t have the courage to ask… until now.

Neither of them knows how to be loved, and while things seem to fit perfectly, Jake's unexpected pregnancy sends both men reeling. Jake always wanted to raise a child alone, but Tristan refuses to be yet another let-down in Jake's life. There's no perfect time to find love, have children, or rearrange their lives. There's only now.

Can they trust each other through all the hurt both men have endured and take a chance on finding forever love?

Forever is a standalone gay romance novel with a happily ever after ending and no cliffhanger.

It was an absolute pleasure to read Forever. So refreshing to find something that I personally had not yet read in MM. I would describe Forever as an mpreg with a twist. I love love love mpreg so I couldn't wait to see how Ed tackled the twist. The twist being that one of the MCs Jake is a trans guy.
One of the things I love about reading in the MM genre is that as well as discovering some amazing books I've also learnt a lot. So as well as being a sweet love story I think Forever will help some people get over the misconceptions they might have about trans people. It was so good to see that Jake often took charge in the bedroom and was often the more domiant and toppy partner compared to his loveinterest Tristan. They are the most adorable couple - I'm in love with them. The dymanic and cameraderie between was so much fun and felt so real. Tristan was so open to everything with Jake. And I loved how strong and confident Jake was. He knew who he was and what he wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it.
It felt like Forever was a real insight into what trans people have to go through in their everyday lives and as they navigate new relationships. There are so many obstacles that can potentially get in the way of trans (and gay) people just being able to live their lives and this book made my heart so happy. Jake and Tristan lived their lives and found their HEA. And had an adorable baby!

After reading this one I running of to read the rest of the F-word series as i'm desperate to read more about the gang we met in Forever - I NEED their stories!!

Well done Ed a fabulous read!!

Another great one to the series. Jake and Tristan's story was unique and lovely, and one I haven't read before. LOVE reading new ideas and positive stories that push boundaries in this community, of what is viewed as normal or accepted in society. These guys meet again after a quick run in on-set before, so it's a second chance to make a chance situation. Each character is trying to deal with their own issues and find themselves overlapping each other. I was with them each step of the way, and felt invested in them overcoming their demons. It's heartfelt and emotional as these two find their happy ending, love that every time I read a E. Davies novel I instantly say "this is my favorite now". The perfect blend of positive independence, strong connections and amazing smiles when you need them the most - something truly at its heart relatable to everyone. I can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

I'm not going to lie... I wasn't sure if this book was for me. I love reading MPreg books, but my narrow mind jumps to Omegaverse and Shifters when I think about MPreg.
What Ed Davies did with Forever was to educate me. I have not read many transgender characters, and I certainly have never read a transgender guy man who falls pregnant. Once I got over my narrow-mindedness, I could not put this book down.
Mr Davies writes from the heart, and you can see this with each of his books, but Forever certainly hits it out of the ball park. He takes the difficult and less talked about topics and brings them to light.
Thank you Ed for not only entertaining me with your books, but educating me as well.

I love the way Ed Davies tells a story, any story.

This is the story of Jake, a transgender man who is looking to have a child before taking the final steps and having bottom surgery. What He does not expect is to run into a work acquaintance from a few years ago.

Tristan is a closeted gay actor who is just trying to work one day at a time and hopefully have a good time now and again without outing himself. Until he runs into Jake again years after working together on a film.

After a couple of weeks as friends with benefits, Jake and Tristan get the news that will change both of their lives.

Follow Jake and Tristan on their journey together and see what makes Ed Davies such a phenomenal author.

As always, E. Davies delivers an extremely powerful subject and turns it into a stunningly, beautiful story.

Jake is a transgender gay man, who has had top, but not bottom surgery. He wants to be a parent, but being on Testosterone, it could take years or not work at all, so he might as well stop the Testosterone so when the time is right.... Right? Jake and Tristan like each other. Nothing wrong being friends with benefits?

This follows their story from the first date and what happens when Jake gets a happy surprise of being pregnant fairly early on and by a man he feels he can love and make their lives work. It's not all sun and games sadly. Challenges pop up and both men take them head on.

Wonderful, wonderful story. As befits this series, it centers around two guys and their 'unconventional' relationship.
Jake is a trans guy who has decides he wants to have his own baby, the only trouble is finding a suitable father-candidate. Tristan is an actor very much in the closet who hasn't so much as thought about becoming a dad. Jake and Tristan have a one-night stand that turns into a series of hookups, which in turn becomes a friends-with-benefits arrangement and eventually something more...but before either gets used to the feelings and how things are changing, Jake gets pregnant. Together they navigate a new relationship along with the pregnancy and while it's not completely smooth sailing, the boys really do love each other so they make things work.

This was very, very well written. Jake's situation was handled delicately and sensitively with none of the sensationalism that often accompanies stories where a trans protagonist gets pregnant. I loved how Jake as well as Tristan had some adjusting to do to the new situation, it wasn't all Tristan who had to work for the relationship. And the struggles that Jake goes through (no paternity wear for trans guys etc) were very touching but none of it was overwhelming or scandalous.

Such a wonderful, sweet and tender story that tackles a very tricky situation with grace and sensitivity while keeping the romance aspect alive.

These are hard books for me. Anytime there's an actor in the story I get really judgy. It's rare for anyone to really get what the industry is really like when they're not a part of it. This portrayal of Tristan as an actor honestly wasn't awful, but there were still the little things that twinged for me. Combined with the insta-love and I this isn't going to be in my favorites pile. That being said it was still really really good. I particularly enjoyed Jake and how this story was structured around his trans status, but really dealt with the feelings of wanting to have a child and choosing to make that choice as he hadn't had the hysterectomy yet.

This book really explores and educates on a lot of trans issues. I felt like it touched on a lot of things that made it incredibly relatable and understandable to someone outside looking in. I loved Tristan wanting to stand up for his man, and how the two of them worked through things to come to the best possible outcomes for them together. Things may have been fast, but they really work as a couple.

**ARC RECIEVED FOR HONEST REVIEW**

Ok, so, It's no secret that I absolutely love this authors books nor is it a secret that the F-WORD series is my favourite by this author. So, when I found out we were getting a fourth book and that it was an M-Preg story I was really looking forward to it!! I've read M-Preg before but those were sci-fi so were very different.
In this we meet Jake & Tristan. I loved both the characters so much and loved how the M-Preg plot developed. That it wasn't simply a case of Jake hooking up with Tris to get pregnant and then they lived happily ever after. They had a fair few ups and downs to contend with as well as dealing with other peoples reactions to the pregnancy.
Now, I truly did love the story but felt that a few issues could've been covered more. Nothing pertaining to the pregnancy, more to do with what happened in their personal lives......Bobby, Tristan's manager..........Jake's ex-boss......Jake's business venture.........They seemed to get skirted over.
I hate that I felt this way but this is my honest review.
Overall I really loved the story but because of those few issues, for me, this is only a 4 star read.

I admit that I absolutely adore every single thing that E. Davies writes. The F-Word series is fabulous at bringing transgender and non-binary characters to the forefront, and the stories are so lovely. There is not a huge amount of angst with the MC's being apart, but they definitely have some challenges to work through and overcome.

Jake is a transgender man who has not yet had a hysterectomy, and he decides that he wants to have a child before he completes his transition. He meets Tristan and there is attraction between them. Tristan is a closeted actor, so it starts out just being a fling and friends with benefits, but Jake getting pregnant keeps them connected and growing closer every day. Their relationship was beautiful, and I loved watching them come together and find love and family.

I really liked this story. I kept expecting it to take a turn for the worse, but it didn't. I'm so jaded by how the entertainment industry has treated LGBT people in the past that I expected truly terrible things to happen in this one. I'm glad the author did not choose to play to those tropes. That doesn't mean that this story is without its share of angst. There are truly tense moments, but they are resolved in calm (maybe too calm sometimes) rational ways. If it weren't for a few editing oddities, I think I would have given this 5 stars. The errors, when they happened, always took me out of the story. That's my biggest concern. Otherwise 5 stars for content and plot, 4 stars for editing... really a 4.5 review overall.

¸.•´.•´¨) ¸.•¨)
(¸.•´(¸.•´ (¸.•¨¯`* The F-Word

"For a couple crazy young guys who’d just been trying to find themselves in L.A., they’d found so much more: each other, and a family, and hope."

They were on two separate paths, diverging, but somehow crossing. A delayed attraction brought them together. Now the closeted actor trying to make a name for himself, and the out and proud trans man he was falling hard for had a decision to make. For Tristan, "Coming out—living out—had suddenly become an option, when it never had been before." For Jake, "He wasn't quiet about his trans status, and he was lucky to live in a state where he could afford to be so open about it."

Navigating through so much: sexuality, coming to terms, coworkers and friends; these two knew their connection could forge the path laid out for them. An unplanned pregnancy changed the course of their lives. Tristan was determined to make Jake happy, come hell or high water. And Jake was willing to put aside everything that had come against him and make life tolerable.

E. Davies writes like how I imagine his life to be. A series of adventures with deep seated dreams bursting to become reality. M/T books may not be for everyone, but if you give it a try, you may discover something that reigns you in. After all, it's the heart that counts.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

I purchased this book cause of I LOVE how Ed writes. I have always shied away from mpreg style books because I like my books to be something I can see myself experiencing or realistic. Alpha/Omega I don't feel is my style and have yet to read. With saying that the blurb to this book caught my attention even though I felt it was out of my comfort zone I bought it. It sat on my kindle TBR for months, today was the day I dove in to my first mpreg story.

I loved it!!!!!!!

I admit at this time that every time I read a book that is written by Ed I learn something. The reason I picked up this book was because I was curious on a mpreg story but also knew that many people struggle with every day due to story I have heard about in the past on the news/talk shows. I wanted to read a realistic story and was not disappointed.

Reading the struggles that Jake goes through, not only because of hormone changes but also mentally, was eye opening. Jake has a great perspective on his life and is generally happy but to see him struggle with his own issues on top of all hormone changes he is experiencing was eye opening. I honestly hope that anyone struggling through these life changes have all the support and resources that Jake was able to find especially when it comes to medical care and not being judged.

Tristin could not have been written any better. His questions, concerns, and reactions I feel were spot on to what any person in his situation would be. I can also imagine that with public perception that actors such as this character would struggle in the industry. As we continue to grow and accept things (even though it is a slow growth) we are seeing more actors pushing the boundaries and more producers/director/studios willing to the boundaries but creating tv shows and movies portraying these lifestyles.

Thank you Ed for writing such wonderful books and educating us with these books

Amazing. Powerful. Beautiful.

This was easily one of the most important and powerful stories I have ever read. This entire F word series has been absolutely brilliant. The author tackles real issues that people are dealing with in a way that is amazingly educational without the reader even realizing it. The reader is simply engrossed in the story... But they are also learning about the complexities of being a trans man and the partner of a trans man.

I am doubtful it is possible to read this story without falling head over heels in love with Tristan and Jake. This is so much more than a romance story but I suppose at the most basic, that is what it is. It is written in such a way that you feel their lives and experiences.

And while I know the book has some serious topics, it is also funny and happy. With those perfect sex scenes this author does so well - so insanely hot that you need a fan but never gratuitous in any way. Just perfectly placed to add to character’s relationship.

The author doesn’t shy away from the negatives in their lives, whether that be discrimination or fear of coming out. But those moments help to strengthen the characters in a way that gives us hope that we too would be strengthened after going through difficult experiences in our lives. They persevere and come together stronger for it.

The author educates us without teaching (in the traditional sense.). We are simply on a journey with these characters. We get to know them and love them in a way that their worries and obstacles are things we feel. So that we, as readers, become more aware of these issues without ever feeling as though we were actually taught anything. The lives of Jake and Tristan impact us by being forever in our soul. Their story is one we carry in our hearts and hopefully, remembering their story will help us find more compassion and understanding for struggles that not all of us face.

I wish I could give this more than five stars. It deserves all the stars in the entire world.

ENLIGHTENING BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY

Every story of this series brought something unique and interesting to the storyline. Each book can absolutely be read as a standalone. I however LOVE a great series and love stories with happily ever afters. Tristan is a closeted actor, making a decent living, waiting for his break out role. Jake is a transgender man, working toward fulfilling the goals he has before his final reassignment surgery are complete. Jake and Tristan had met years before when Jake had worked as a PA on one of his movies. Imagine his surprise when they meet again and the slight spark from before turn into an inferno. These are two very different, independent, goal oriented men, unknowingly searching for the same thing. I loved this story. At times, I will admit, I found it a little confusing. I haven't read many stories about transgender issues. I thought this book was magnificently written because it didn't gloss over the tough emotions. I went through all the emotions with BOTH characters and loved them more for it. I also loved catching up with the characters from the previous stories. Whether you have read the other books or not, this is a beautiful love story you don't want to miss. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT SERIES!!!!!

In Forever we follow Jake, a transgender male who still has not had bottom surgery and wants to have a baby so he begins the process of researching support groups and stops taking his testosterone. He meets Tristan, a closeted gay actor that he worked with a few years ago and soon a relationship develops. Their relationship was meant to be simple, merely friends with benefits, but early into their relationship they receive unexpected news. Both men struggle to come to terms with how fast their life changes one thing remains constant, their devotion to each other. The changes to their lives seem too fast and scary at first, but turn into an HEA for both characters and on their terms.

Forever can be read as a standalone novel but after reading I have an itch to go back and read the first 3 books in the series and get to know the other characters in the book. I love Ed’s stories, he is not afraid to take on less mainstream topics and challenge us to think outside the norm. This book tugged at my heart as both Jake and Tristan struggled in the early stages of their relationship not only with their feelings, but also with how fast their lives began to change.

Content notes:

This is a cute story and I really liked the way accidental pregnancy trope was done, but I dunno if I really jive with author’s writing cuz at times I felt bored reading, like nothing was happening.

This fourth novel in the F-word series was a well written gay romance novel with good character development. This novel contained no suspense unlike the first two books of the series, a fact that I expected after the lack of suspense in the third book. I really liked this one, and I was intrigued by the idea of a trans man choosing to carry his own children at all, let alone cope so well with the physical and hormonal changes of a surprise pregnancy. I thought it was much better done than the first book of the series, especially regarding the portrayal of the trans character in it, especially how Jake was so open about being trans as opposed to living stealth like Nic and how Tristan already knew Jake and his status from having worked on the same movie set in the past. That existing connection made their jump into bed feel much safer and more realistic than how Nic and Kyle got together in the first book. Also, I admit that I really liked the humor of the choose-your-own-cock-adventure involved in the couple's sex life due to Jake having not had any bottom surgery and being a packer instead. Anyway, this one might just be my favorite of the series.

So first I want to say: I didn't know this was part of a series, and it can 100% be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this book. There doesn't seem to be a lot of trans male pregnancy books (NOT mpreg), and this one did not disappoint. Davies, who is trans himself, did a beautiful job of being informative and respectful with his trans MC. No hand-holding for unfamiliar readers, just straightforward facts about Jake's body and experience. With limited transphobia and homophobia, and low angst, this is the perfect light read.

This book is fast paced, the whole thing taking place in less than a year. And while every major milestone is touched upon, I do wish there had been more in-between stuff. I would love to have read more about Jake's relationship with his body, how the two prepare for the baby, and their emotional growth throughout the pregnancy.

Overall, though, very pleasant read. 3.75 stars.

I love this series and Tristen and Jake are just wonderful heroes.

Davies does an especially good job developing hero heroes to be very lovable but with imperfections and as they share and accept their less than stellar traits and trust each other they also strive to be better.

The love that grows between what started off a sex positive hook up is lovely.

We have layers or pretty intense issues here as Jake wants to have a baby and his carrying of the baby in his womb...well even LA isn't ready for that.

Health insurance. Fair treatment at work. The film industries whiplash craziness around LGBTQA+ representation.

All these sound pretty heavy and they are but Davies lets us linger in the day to day and wonder of true connection. We also get fun romance themes like opps preggers and married for the insurance and fame (light).

Very, Very good.

I can't remember the last time I read a M/M romance that involved a transgender person. This story is unique in the way that only E. Davies can tell it, and I will admit to crying during some really tough scenes in this book.

If the thought of a transgender person makes you uncomfortable, I don't advise reading this book. However, if you can say this with an open mind and an open heart, you'll see that E. Davies has written a beautiful, compelling, feel-good romance. I honestly think this is my new favorite E. Davies book (sorry Riley brothers).

E. Davies handles tough subjects in a heart-warming, caring way that makes you fall for everyone involved, and I even learned some new terms that I previously didn't know.

Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I loved Forever. It was a beautiful, heartfelt story that needed to be told, and E. Davies did a great job telling it. Jake and Tristan were wonderful together. Seeing their journey and learning about their separate pasts that brought them to this point was touching. Were the intimate scenes sizzling? You betcha! Of course they were. E. Davies knows how to write them! The reader was treated to some amazing moments between Jake and Tristan.

With every book in this F-Word series, I have learned something or gained additional insight about a topic. It is great when an author can educate, enlighten, and entertain. This series accomplishes that.

It was nice seeing old, familiar faces and watching them welcome Jake into the fold and immediately befriend and support him. Forever made me cry, laugh, cheer, and smile... a lot! Another great book by a great author!

The fourth book in the F-word series. It features Zeph's closeted friend Tristan and FtM transgender Jake. Jake wants to start a family and has decided to go off his testosterone to do so.His doctor sends him off to Plus to get more information on finding a support group. It's at Plus that Jake runs into Tristan and the two reconnect.

The book was interesting and I learned a lot from it. It made me curious enough to do a search on transitioning since Jake's journey in transitioning is quite different to the details that were presented in Kyle and Nick's book. I enjoy picking up new knowledge and I think this was a fun book to learn from and get a love story. I also liked that it portrayed how quickly a person's life can change when detail of their lives are revealed.

An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.

Ed Davies is a master of taking a difficult, uncommon subject and delivering a powerful and emotional story, without delving into angst and over the top drama.
Jake is a transgender man, wanting to have a child and therefore going off testosterone. In the meantime he meets Tristan again, an actor he has met on set sone years prior.
The sparks are immediate and what begins as a friends with benefits arrangement soon turns into something more.
Jake's early and unexpected pregnancy will face them with issues that they will have to face together or let them bring them apart.
The fourth book in the F-word series, Forever gives us another in glimpse into Plus' makeshift family of friends and has the same emotional impact as the previous ones in the series.

ARC received for Honest Review. One of my favorite subject from one of my favorite authors ... MPreg with a twist. Most MPreg books I read are usually Alpha & Omegas, this book is a transgender gay man, who has had top, but not bottom surgery. He wants to one day be a parent. Jake & Tristan had "known" of each other from the movie world, Tristan is an actor & Jake a runner from a set they worked at together. Jake walks into an LGBT volunteer home looking for advice, meeting Tristan again. Sparks fly & they decide to do a "friends w/benefits" relationship, but become pregnant. . This book shows the ups & downs of being male, closeted & pregnant & how they overcame all for a Forever kind of love.

Jake and Tristan

This is the 4th book in the F-Word series. You can definitely read this as a stand-alone without feeling lost. The characters from the other books do make appearances but only as friends so their individual stories aren’t crucial to understanding this book. Jake is an out gay trans man who is on his own and is used to taking care of himself. Tristan is a closeted gay man who is a b-list actor. This book is sugary sweet with lots of love. And while the author addresses serious content (going through a pregnancy as a man), it is done seamlessly without causing tons of angst or becoming preachy on the topic. And of course, the chemistry between the MCs is off the charts. You also get a beautiful HEA.

A lovely story, about finding love in unexpected places

E Davies writes the most beautiful stories. Full of emotion, both joy and fear, love and acceptance. This book is no exception.
Jake and Tristan met once on set and never saw one another again for a couple of years. When they unexpectedly meet at Plus, their attraction to one another is rekindled, but although they start a no-strings relationship, Jake's body has other ideas, and only a few weeks after stopping T, he is pregnant. Both men are shocked and need to face their own fears and accept themselves before the baby is born.
I had tears in my eyes by the end. This was an excellent fourth book in the F-word series. I admit I was sceptical as to if this concept would work, but it was really well written.

Ed has a talent for not only entertaining me and giving me some of the sweetest romance but educating me as well. He always peels back the layers to a POV I can't fathom and teaches me something new and Important. We have to see the world from someone else's eyes if we are ever to change it. We have to see where they are coming from before we can even hope to understand a struggle that is not our own. I thank Ed for doing this in small ways every time I pick up his books. It's a gift to be able to fall into a book and escape, it's an even greater accomplishment if you can enrich your readers lives by giving them a new way to see the world and to learn. So thank you Ed for always entertaining me but also guiding me to a new perspective. The F-Word series is a beautiful and great read!

Just when I thought I'd read the best Ed had written, he tops it again with Forever. Beautifully written book that gives a true insight on a ftm trans character, Jake, that wants to have a family of his own at some point. That point came a little earlier than expected when he finds himself pregnant. Even though not quite ready, he doesn't let it stop him. And the best part of the story is that he has a partner, Tristan, that is totally accepting of him from day one of finding out that he is trans, he didn't hesitate at all and I love this more than anything else.
A heads up for anyone thinking about reading this book, it is NOT an MPreg book, it is a story about a gay trans male.

Another case of a book group influencing my reading.

I haven’t read many books where one of the main characters is transgender, just because I haven’t come across many. So when this one was recommended, I read the blurb and decided the story sounded great.

And it was. Jake meets Tristan at a time in his life where he’s thinking about what he wants for his future. What he really wants is to be a dad. He is trans but does still have the inner workings to carry a child. Jake knows the risks and the consequences and is confident in his decision.

I thought the relationship was beautifully portrayed. The subject matter was dealt with sensitively. Love is the winner.
