Chronic illness. Obesity. Autoimmune disease. Cancer. Perhaps you are one of the millions of Americans manifesting symptoms of common chronic illness such as diabetes, Crohn s disease, lupus, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, food allergies, leaky gut syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, or one of many other conditions. Or, perhaps you are unaware of the Timebomb in your system, only in the early warning stages of your body headed toward chronic illness or showing signs such as fatigue, brain fog, energy spikes followed by crashes, digestive issues, hormonal imbalance, constant need for antibiotics, or even premature aging. If this is the case, the groundbreaking information within this work is imperative and will help you take charge in order to change the course of your situation. THIS IS NOT A WEIGHT-LOSS DIET! Timebomb is a revelation involving an avoidable national health epidemic more pervasive that anyone could have imagined and touching as many as 80% of all Americans whether they know it YET or not! In Timebomb, you will *how the USDA and FDA have failed to eradicate and correctly label deadly ingredients being legally added to our food every day; *the deadly truth behind GMO foods and how consuming them is a dangerous roll of the dice; *the most common underlying (and often reversible) cause behind many common illnesses plaguing Americans today and what can be done about it; *how toxic ingredients are making you sick and impairing your mind; *why the dangerous cycle of treating symptoms instead of identifying and addressing the underlying cause allows disease to hide beneath the surface and escalate, causing further damage to your body; *the psychology behind food marketing; *how big farming has corrupted our modern food supply and the small farmer just might be our biggest advocate for healthy, safe nutrition; *practical, applicable how-to information that will empower you to take charge of your situation and begin to overhaul your diet; *how the modern health epidemic, largely brought on by our food supply, is only the most recent tactic in a deeper malaise effecting creation dating back to the beginning of time!
A MUST Read for a Healthier You Joe Horn is a minister out of Branson, Missouri. My wife saw a Christian Television interview with him a couple of years ago. She was impressed with what she heard and purchased "Timebomb." When I told her that I had set a personal goal of losing ten pounds, she encouraged me to read the book. "Timebomb" is the autobiographical story of Horn’s battle with health issues caused from his diet. For over a decade, from his early 20s to his mid-30s, he was diagnosed with and suffered from severe nausea, diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, nervous bowel disease, spastic colon, nervous colon, adult acne, fatty liver, and adrenal burnout. He alternated from having diarrhea to constipation and had little to no energy. Eventually an infection developed, and he was told if he didn’t have surgery, his intestines would turn septic and possibly rupture. When Horn contacted his doctor to schedule the surgery, he was told that the doctor’s office had gone through a software upgrade. Consequently, Horn’s name and patient history was purged from the doctor’s client base. Therefore, he would have to be a new patient. Intake for a new patient would take sixty to ninety days. Horn didn’t have that long to wait, so he contacted several other physicians to see if they could see him sooner. Each said that intake for a new patient would take sixty to ninety days. At this point Horn said, “I was out of options, completely vulnerable, and afraid. I felt like I was carrying a timebomb and my plan for defusing it had fallen apart.” Thus, the title "Timebomb." Horn then went on a journey of self-awareness that saw him change his diet and lifestyle. Throughout his years of seeing doctors, he says not one suggested he change the foods he was eating. Instead, his wife took on the task of helping him to repair his body by completely changing his diet. "Timebomb" is not a cookbook, a fad-diet endorsement, or quick-fix nutrition plan. Instead, it is Horn’s personal story and his accumulation of research into the toxic, modern-American food supply. Through moderate exercise, avoiding processed foods, and eating natural organic foods, Horn lost almost a hundred pounds. His medical issues cleared up, and he now has more energy. "Timebomb" is inspirational. Anyone wanting to lose weight will be encouraged. "Timebomb" is also scary. It is horrifying to read about the poisons that are in the foods we consume. Still, the book is a must read for all who are willing to make changes in lifestyle and diet in order to become a healthy person.
The is no doubt that the united states of America has the worst food supply on planet earth because of the FDA, big Parma, and corporate corruption. This is not just a book about health, although at its heart your health is of primary importance. This book lifts the mask of nefarious intent delivered through our food supply with detail. This is important because I have always known how to be healthy, yet I did not know the healthy choices I would make are actually not healthy and could possibly be killing me. You need to read this book and take your life back! Learn how our food and drug supply is deadly and learn what to change in your lifestyle so you can be healthy again. This is a life of change, time bomb is a great start.
Very interesting info about our food and how it’s marketed. When you think about it we all know we should eat less carbs, sugar, fat etc but unless you read the labels and not the hype you don’t know what you are eating. I’ve already made changes to eat more fresh fruit and veggies and limit the processed food. One thing the book doesn’t address is the use of plastics for storage and packaging. It would be interesting to find out how much that affects our health.
Too, too general if you have some knowledge and know something about the subject of food and health, this is not a book for you. But if you have had very little exposure about foods and their part in what our body needs to be healthy or why some foods fail to help, it is a decent starting point. I ENJOYED his TV interviews and his t-shirt and brought his book thinking it would further my understanding—sadly it did not.
Insightful book! Full of good facts and information. The book teaches about processed foods and their dangers. I learned how to deeply read a food label. The book also acknowledged God as healer. I would highly recommend.
Good indictment of the food industry, but generally the author's own issues seemed to stem from a dairy allergy, so they had to write about all the other bad chemicals in order to fill out the book.
