Truth & Consequences

It all started with his suit, my dress, and a ring.

From there, our road together was paved with nothing but secrets and deceit. But together we managed to expose the lies…the truth was uncovered.

Now, the pieces fit. I can feel them finally start to align…but at what cost?

Our past has already been stolen from us, and now our future hangs in the balance as well. There’s a bigger power at play, and it’s closer than we ever could have imagined.

Everything Julian and I share is at risk because—unfortunately for us—every truth has its consequences.

Omg! This sequel had me GLUED to my Kindle, turning the pages at a pace that quite frankly did not feel fast enough.

The mystery, the questions...oh, my! Fiona Keane sure knows how to keep a reader guessing.

One thing I absolutely loved about this book was how much Julian adored Aideen and how clear that was to me as a reader. I had no doubt he’d do anything to protect her, and he basically did prove that time and time again.

I also loved Aideen’s inner dialogue. She made me giggle more times than not. There were times where I wanted to smack her and just tell her: hello, Julian is scrumptious so please stop doubting his love for you! But then, I’d think how weird and quite frankly, horrid it must feel to not remember the man you once loved! So I cut her some slack. LOL

Now, OMG. Can we talk about how much I NEED book 3? That ending! I need more! Eeek! Can’t wait to continue this journey!!

FIVE STARS!!!!

Truth & Consequences (Boston Latte Bk2) by Fiona Keane
Aideen is starting to remember things. Are they memories or are they nightmares? She is starting to understand Julian and knows their connection is stronger than what she originally thought. While Julian tries to protect her, he also can’t understand who is playing them. The pieces start to fall into place and allow Julian and Aideen’s connection to re-connect. Those around them have other plans and it seems they will go to great lengths to destroy what Julian has tried so hard to protect. Book two allows us to understand the connection between our two main characters. However, there are so many characters that are so shady that you never know who to trust, and who is plotting there sinister destruction. Aideen is still having a hard time fully understanding her memories and nightmares. Liam seems to be equally interested in Aideen and you wonder whose side he is on? It seems that those in higher powers want Julian to push forward in his political career and they make it known that Aideen is not part of their plotting. Can Julian outsmart them or will he have to sacrifice the one thing he loves the most, in order to save her? Book 2 definitely gives us more information and yet it still is shrouded in mystery. As the saying goes, keep your family close and your enemies even closer.

What can I say? Fiona Keane has done it again, and produced another great thriller. I loved this book! It's the sequel to Book 1 of the Boston Latte series by Fiona Keane. From the opening chapters on, it's a jam-packed story of action, adventure, intrigue, betrayal, and love. The main characters are Julian and Aideen, but she's not sure whether he's the good guy or a villain. Does he want to save her or torment her? Who can she trust? Before he has protected her from people trying to kill her, but is that his intention or is he out to harm her. This is an edge-of-the-seat suspense thriller with engaging characters I know you'll love. Check it out for a great read. I can't wait for Book 3!

This is the second book in the Boston Latte series, so you MUST READ Lies & Secrets (Book 1) FIRST, otherwise you will be confused, as these books really layer upon each other. Now, while I was very confused during the first book, in Truth & Consequences, more pieces to the puzzle are coming to the table, so a picture is starting to take shape. Aideen is getting more of memories back, although, she's still very frustrated with Julian's inability to tell her anything of his life. She is learning that he actually does care for her, albeit slowly, as her inner monologue goes back & forth with those facts, but at least some of it is coming to light. And I can't blame her for some of her attitude, because while Julian was super yummy, and definitely cares for her deeply, he does keep a standoffish attitude quite a bit, which helps no one. I'm going to say though, it was those twists that kept me glued to me seat, because I couldn't put the book down, as I just needed to know, but needless to say, I still have tons of questions, so the f-bombs are still dropping like crazy. The super talented Fiona Keane knows how to write suspense, that's for sure, as I'm fully invested & highly addicted to seeing this journey through to the end. And speaking of endings, I was left hanging even worse this time, so Ms. Keane has put on the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and hash tagged #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE, as I need the next book NOW NOW NOW! Anyway, that's all I have without giving away things, so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

The truth is finally coming out

I really appreciate the writing and editing in this book, it's on point. I don't think I saw one grammatical or punctuation error throughout. On to the story. I love it. I'm so glad that the truth is finally being revealed. I do find myself getting slightly frustrated with Aideen though, she needs to listen to Julian without trying to run away or interrupt him. Having said that, she's an absolute trooper. I'm glad we're getting to see her and Julians soft, lovey-dovey sides. I can't wait for everything to come out in the final instalment. Hopefully there's going to be lots of explosive sex and cute babies in their future. I saw that some people were confused after reading the first book, but really, it said book one for a reason. Letting readers know who's who and what's what in the first book wouldn't leave anything to look forward to in this one and the next. Stick it out, it's well worth it. 💚

I have to say, I enjoyed this book better than the previous. The suspense was amped up, and I feel that the two books would have done better as one combined novel. In the first book, there is less action and intrigue than I would have liked to see. The second book exceeded my expectations!

The action, drama, and suspense was there. The only thing I can complain about is how things played out with Aideen concerning Elliot’s death. I feel she could have handled it differently?

Otherwise, love the story, the plot, the writing style, and the writer’s voice. I’m excited to read more from Fiona Keane!!

Wow! This follow-up to Lies & Secrets is spectacular. Definitely not a stand-alone read. Brilliant writing had me on the edge of my seat with the passion and fervor of this author’s words. So many WTF and swoony moments in this story that left me breathless. Julian is a darkly captivating male character like no other. He’s just fabulous and so mysterious. So many questions remain. Aideen is recovering but she needs to trust in Julian. Perhaps in the next story, which I look forward to with anticipation. So worth the read! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.

I liked the book overall, it was less confusing than the 1st book in the series. I did get involved with the characters and wanted to know what happens to them. I did have an issue with time in both this book and book 1. It seemed like too much happened and too short a period of time but at the same time I wish the story moved along a bit quicker. I was excited to read this book since it is set in Boston and I originally come from it's suburbs. I do plan to read the next installment.

An awesome series to an interesting storyline. This is the second book in this series with many secrets begins to unfold. Although IMO, Aidee is a little annoying at times.
