The moment I’ve waited for my entire life is here. It’s senior year. All my life I’ve longed for the day I could walk on that field as a senior football player. It’s the year that marks everything—a passageway to the rest of your life—and I’m ready.
We are now the leaders for the entire high school. It’s time to dictate the parties, dominate the field, rule the halls, and enjoy that girls have matured a little more—looking for fun before responsibilities of college begin. We have one year to make a lasting impression.
I’ve rehearsed this, thought about it for years, and targeted every girl I want a piece of. Problem is—there’s only one girl I’m thinking about, and she’s thousands of miles away. That week ruined me. And I’ll never see her again.
Or will I?
(Note from the author: This is not a standalone. This is the continuation of Accepted Fate and book two in the Fate series. Please note, if you purchased Accepted Fate prior to June 19, 2018 you do not need this title. It was previously the back half before it was split for several reasons in editing and re-cover.)
I found books when I was going through a hard time in life. They became my means of escape when things got bad. I realized quickly how much I loved to take a backseat to someone else's life and watch the journey unfold. That began my journey with books in November of 2012. I constantly had a book open on my Kindle app. Never in a million years would I have imagined myself as a writer, because I never thought I was creative enough. I'm living proof that things will fall into place when they're meant to be. People will make their way into our lives when we don't expect it, setting the path for what we are meant to do. Never give up on people. Never stop taking a chance on others. Someone took a chance on trusting me with her work when she didn't know me from a stranger on the street and gave me the opportunity of a lifetime as our relationship progressed, which led me to editing and writing as well. This is my dream I never knew I had. As soon as I sat down and gave writing a shot, it was like the floodgates opened. Now, I am lost in a world of fiction in my head, new characters constantly screaming for their stories to be told. Continue to dream and to go for them. No one ever found happiness by sitting on the sidelines. Sometimes we have to take risks and put ourselves out there. Thank you for all of your support, and may there be many books to come. XOXO- C
Damn, that cliffhanger. I was expecting but what happened next took me back because it felt a little unrealistic to just happen in the story. But then I just went with it.
Not much in terms of plot happens in this book, until the end, if I am being honest. But it's still good!! Though it was cute, too many times Breyson would repeat how much he loved her and how it would be forever, etc., etc. It just became a little flowery.
Also, why is HW, tests, classes never mentioned besides the first day of school? It always funny to read a romance book where the characters are still in high school and yet there's almost no mention of the actual school part of it.
“We don’t choose our fate. Our fate chooses us. You might as well accept it and live your life. You only get one chance to make it count.”
Kinz & Brey have done it AGAIN— stolen my heart. It’s safe to say I’m obsessed with them and their story. Was it ooey gooey? Yes. Was the steaminess off the charts? Also yes. Did some serious shit go down? Triple yes.
“The one thing I’m sure of is that I’d rather fall with him and wake up at the bottom alone than to have never experienced him at all.”
“I don’t know what he’s done to me, but I’ll never be the same”
Before I get into it, SO much happened in this book because its taken place in span of several months, but before I get into this review— I’m so glad I decided to pick this series up, it’s gone above and beyond giving me all the feels and serving wisdom and caption-worthy quotes left and right. Sure, it had its flaws which is why it didn’t earn the full 5 stars for me, but most if it is my own preference and pickiness.
What I liked:
1. Every single interaction between K & B. Ugh, love them s’much it hurts. 2. Kinzleigh and Breysons unbelievable character development and vulnerability in this book!! 3. The girlpower vibes and friendship between Adalyn, Londyn & Kinzleigh 4. I love how invested i became in all the girls and their relationships throughout this book, I adored seeing them develop 5. Kinz shows remorse over her previous judgments of others and where she ends up moving and the kind of people that live there 6. K keeps her individuality despite how B may feel about certain things 7. Most of the conflicts K & B suffer are from outside parties rather than them having issues within their relationship, a relationship that is refreshingly healthy. Intense, but at least they don’t fight every other page. 8. Brey & Kinz’s families accepting each other as their own 9. K & B’s intimacy is on another level in this book, I’m here for it.
What I didn’t like:
1. Breyson, boy I love ya but you gotta get that jealousy/anger shit in check. (At least in this book it’s somewhat understandable since they are a couple now, but still) 2. I hated how Breyson treated Natalie in the first chapter, yeah I don’t like her either but most of that interaction had me so uncomfortable 3. Unnecessary Ranchhand flirtation? What even was that lol (maybe he’ll make a comeback in the next book?) 4. Where the HELL is my Presley & Konnor update??? I’ve been waiting since Christmas! (Not really a dislike but you can’t leave a girl hanging!)
Overall I can’t get over how emotional this book made me, in the best and worst ways. Starting “Twisting Fate” now because I have zero self control and I need answers now! k bye
I adored this book! It's the second book in the series and continues Kinzleigh and Breyson journey. Kinzleigh has just moved into her new house in Mississippi and things are beginning to look up when she meets her new neighbor Adalynn. She informs her there is a place on the cheerleading squad for her. Maybe her senior year won't be so bad. Well if she can stop thinking of certain southern blue eyed boy. Breyson can't concentrate because all he can think about is the beautiful girl Kinzleigh he left in California with no way to contact. Then two weeks into school he discovers she is right here in his very own school and he never knew. When they see each other in the hallway everything and everyone just fades away it just the two of them.
One of my favorite quotes from the book:
"Every day I live for you, Kinzleigh. My heart beats for you, my mind thinks for you, and my soul thrives for you. My body longs for you and will never forget your touch. I will love you infinitely. Time will never cease my love for you. I know we’re young, but maybe we are one of the lucky ones—the couples that get to experience their entire lives together."
Their journey is epic heartbreaking, soul searching, heartfelt, emotional gutwrenching romantic loving rollercoaster ride that will leave you ugly crying by the end. Oh my what a cliffhanger be still my runaway heart! Five beautiful ! !🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This is not my typical genre but when I saw a review from one of my favorite Goodreads reviewers on another book in the series, I decided to give it a go.
The whole time I was thinking: This guy's definitely going to be discovered with this girl's headless torso in the trunk of his car one day.
The love was instantaneous, completely over the top (teenagers or not) and I could not figure out what it was that drove H so crazy over h. He came across as a bit of a stalker and a psychopath.
Not sure how it ended, but if this were non-fiction, the parts I've read would definitely be the first part of a Dateline episode - the bit where they describe how idyllic it all had been before he murdered her for posting a bikini pic on Instagram.
This book was so beautifully written. I love how Kinzleigh and Breyson grow closer and closer. And then the last two chapters had to happen and I could barley read because of my eyes being so blurry from tears. I am immediately reading book three after I post this review. You are amazing Charisse Spiers. You had me smiling, laughing and crying.
not h becoming bestie with the girl H hooked up with straight after coming back to his hometown. It's just so weird thinking ur new bestie was so close to sleep with the guys you lost ur virginity to. he was jealous of her talking to other guys when he spent the summer with other girls trying to forget her. i wasn't able to finished this. I hate when the H go with other people shoe being separated to h being h only stay loyal to H.
Breyson and Kinzleigh's story continues in this second book in the Fate series. Filled with romantic moments and a connection that cannot be denied, this was a fabulous read. That is until the very end and the story literally killed me. Ugly tears and a broken heart is how you left me. I only hope that the next book in the series brings out a HEA and reverses the devastation that we are left with.
This second novel in the series, takes a more detailed look into their relationship as feelings grow, an sex heats up! Kinz meets more and more people, finally coming out of her shell and opening her heart... The novel revs up leaving two brutal cliff hangers! Can this series get any better? Yeah i reckon i can...
So in love with Breyson and Kinzleigh. there is so much joy and tears, sadness, romance, love and heartbreaking going on. I just can't stop reading these books! I would recommend these book to anybody that loves romance. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
Well this book just took a different turn & my heart is breaking for everyone! I can’t wait for the next book to find out what happens. Kinzleigh & Brey’s story is messing with my head 💔
The writing in this book is better than the first. We don’t get every single little detail of what the characters are doing in a scene so I’m glad. The double whammy cliffhanger?? Wow. I’m off to book three.
I don’t know how to go on. The one outcome I expected. That was obvious. The other totally blew me a way, and now I’m balling my eyes out. Must read the next one.
This is the second book of Kinsleigh and Bryson's love story. It just keeps getting better. This book chronicles the start of their relationship. Kinsleigh moves to a new town and as fate would have it, where Breyson is from. They start a relationship but are put to the test. They come across many challenges. Is their love strong enough to make it through them?
