What started as one man's desire to bring purpose to his work has morphed into a global movement that is inspiring millions around the world. The Mr. Thank You Project, chronicles the story of John Israel, a self-proclaimed "gratitude salesman," as he ventures through a year of writing five thank you cards every day for 365 consecutive days. While The Mr. Thank You Project chronicles much of Israel's personal experience of the year, this book is also a roadmap for anyone who wants to be a change maker in their community, business, or organization.
Reading this book was a call to action and one in which made me prep my own thank you card project. I highly recommend this book for everyone as we could all use a little more gratitude in our lives.
John's incredible story of writing 5 "thank you" cards a day teaches an incredible lesson, if you are looking for more gratitude and appreciation in your life, start by showing it and you'll be amazed and how it comes back to you in life. This is one of my favorite reads of the year so far, make sure not to miss some of the incredible "thank you" stories, including the Gonzaga NCAA Basketball team, the airline pilots, the random waitress, his very first thank you card (this one will make you laugh!), and his wife's favorite card.
Short inspiring read, that you can finish on a plane flight and hop off feeling inspired and better about life. Bottom line is we need more John's in the world, must read!
Quick inspiring read. John wrote 5 thankyou notes every day fir a year. The book chronicles some of the notes and the experiences he had. I loved that he wrote to the entire Gonzaga basketball team when they made the finals! Inspires us all to express more gratitude in writing!
Great book, inspired me to write some thank you cards and reconnect with some old friends. Also allowed me to show true appreciation for the people I interact all the time. Amazing how many people have gotten back to me and telling me how much it meant to them!
