Prescription: Orgasm
Patient: Kylie Hackett
To be filled by: Dr. Max Lewis
Aka her worst nightmare.

When I walk into the ER for my first shift, the nurses all want me.
I don't need my stethoscope to hear their hearts pounding.
Except Kylie. She’s actually focused on her job.
Not my military background, or tattoos. No, she’s actually all about patient care.
Well, let me care for you sweetheart.
But she thinks I’m full of myself, annoying at best.
She couldn’t be more wrong.
Fact: I know what I'm doing in the ER.
I can also fulfill her wildest fantasies.
That's not ego. That's the truth.
However, when Kylie gets hurt I find myself swallowing all my pride.
She needs me, and I’m just what the doctor ordered.

This book started out so great, however after the first few chapters I wasn't feeling it anymore. Max was super hot in the beginning, but his character took a turn which I didn't like, changing his bad ass and hot character to a sad and insecure guy. So disappointed

Cliffhanger warning!

The book description is misleading. The heroine, Kylie, doesn't resist the hero for long. The get off to a bad start and a chapter of two (feels like five minutes) later they're making out beyond the heavy petting stage. The hero actually comes across as a nice guy, surprising in the genre filled with arrogant jerks. There's an issue with a probably abused child and then an incident of sidewalk heroism to add tension and excitement. At the end, Kylie hears a rumor, jumps to a conclusion, and goes off the deep end. Max and Kylie finally talk and straighten that gross misunderstanding only for our hero to receive a distressing phone call. Then the book ends and you have to buy the next in the serial (this is not a true series) to find out what happens.

So... the story would be a solid four stars, except that the book description is misleading and the book ends on an unannounced cliffhanger. Two stars demotion for author dishonesty.

A Gripping Read

This was an emotional story about two people drawn together by their medical professions. Max is a doctor who is escaping the day shift to work nights to avoid working with children, who seem to dredge up memories of his physical abuse when he was young. Kylie’s a dedicated nurse who isn’t afraid to stand up to a an arrogant doctor like Max when he fills in one day for Kylie’s favorite doctor. When a young girl’s injuries indicate abuse, Maxi’s response to her leads Kylie to believe that there is more to his reaction than just his medical compassion. A wild sexual encounter leads him to confide in Kylie about his history of abuse in his young life that sent him to the foster care system. This in fact led him to serving in the military, which led him to his medical profession in the military as well. I enjoyed this book, but the story line only covered a very short period other than the back story of the main characters. I would have loved an epilogue that delved into their long term relationship. There were several editing errors as well that really ruffled my feathers!

Not great

What I liked - The book was a little unique, which was nice. Kylie was a decent character. I don't recall many grammatical or punctuation errors.

What I didn't like - It just feels like something is missing. There's just not a whole lot to it, but at the same time, it feels like the book dabbles in touching on too many subjects.Max saying he'd had a lot of physical encounters with women but didn't give them a second thought like he has with Kylie is gross. We're supposed to think he's a good guy because he now has actual feelings for someone? Pretty sure that's not how things work. He's a jerk for treating women that way and being a manwhore cheapens any relationship now. It makes it not seem very important, although I think we're being encouraged to think the opposite.

The ending kind of bugged me. It was like manufactured drama. I overheard he's leaving but didn't tell me. Unless, I am wrong, they slept together and then the next day, she overheard he was leaving. When was he to tell her if he was leaving? Why should he have assumed that their relationship was anything more than sex, given neither really talked about it? Why would that be his fault?

I get very annoyed when it's written or in TV/film when a simple conversation would have saved all the drama. If she had just asked him when he showed up at her door, problem solved. Or maybe don't listen to rumours. Go to the source always, then make up your mind.

Anyways, otherwise, I liked it.

Not a favorite

Trite, and cliché. Dialogue is not naturally flowing. Didn't feel any connection for or between the characters. I understood what the author was trying to convey / evoke. I just wasn't feeling it.

Great book!

Nicole Elliot is a new author to me and I instantly fell in love with this book. Max and Kylie are the perfect match. Kylie is very much focused on her career as an ER nurse and doesn't pay much attention to dating, until she starts working with a new doctor. Instantly drawn to each other they at first refuse to give in to their attraction but their desire eventually pushed them together. When they hit a rough patch they have to be strong together to make it through.
This is the first book in the Savage Soldiers Series and a great read. I'm happy to have found new author that keeps me captivated.

Kyle a young nurse meets a Dr. who normally works the nights when he fills in for a day Dr. who Kyle normally works with. Max is an ex soldier who went into medicine. First time they work together they don't get along, the next they see Kyle has saved a woman life and appears at the hospital covered in blood with her dog . Max thinks she is hurt and the guard is threatening her. He takes her home ordering her a mental health day off. They end up breaking hospital rules...Falling in love but solve their problem with different shifts.

The book idea was interesting enough. A scarred doctor and a emotional traumatized nurse meet and they fall in love. The story itself was cute overall, however, the resolve to the problems that the main couple have was too quickly resolved. It felt a bit unreal because nobody gets over a trauma so quickly, even when they fall in love. It was as if their problems just vanished in the presence of the other person and would stay gone as if the very thought of them was enough.

The story itself was good but that's all that I really have to say about the book.

I enjoy this book very much because the Kaylie and Max are both strong and vulnerable. Kaylie is not just out of school girl. She has been hurt before and has shut herself out of the dating world. She is a dedicated nurse who truly appreciate her role and is compassionate. Max has his share of secrets that he can’t seem to hold back when he is with Kayla...can they work together in the same hospital and on the same shift? Read this to see where there story goes....I’m already into the next book in the series....happy reading

Not quite sure how I feel about this one.... definitely 3.5 stars at least.

The concept was cute and all I could draw from the epilogue was that there was obviously a book to follow.
In this story Kylie was the heroine, and we didn't really hear anything about Max's heroism in any real detail. Was he a hero? Yes, he was ex military, and ex foster system, but a hero? Who knows? It wasn't touched on.
Still, it was a quick and easy read.

It had me until the ending. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers concept. I really liked the back stories to the characters. I didn't like that there was too much unresolved at the end. It's set up to segue into the next book of the series, but it seemed that Kylie and Max had too much yet to finish. I did enjoy the rest of the book and want to see if my answers are hiding out in the second book.

Great read!!!!

Kylie loves her job. She's a very good nurse. She has her favourite doctor & loves working with her. When DR Nehru isn't at work & in her place is a new Doctor. He's handsome & hot but she's got a job to do. Max is blown away by how beautiful she is. Loved this book. Thanks.

It was a good story but from the blurb i was expecting something else to go on in the story. I liked Kylie's character she was a strong woman who kept her head high and didn't take anything from anyone. I also liked Max the sexy ex-soldier doctor with a past. The ending had me intrigued for the second book in the series.

This is a military medical romance book but other then working in a military hospital and one character is a retired/discharged soldier there is no military in the story. The story is rushed and feels like it was forced, nothing seems to flow natural. I wanted to like the characters but never real felt invested in them. If you want a short, none emotional quick story you may like this one.

This was a fast paced sweet read but it didn't really grab me. A couple moments just switched gears all together leaving me thinking what? Same with the smexy scene. Good premise just not for me I guess.

Decent

Not a bad story line. I really liked that they had a pit bull as I really love them. The characters seemed a bit flat with mostly sex on the brain. So if you want a hot afternoon read this is the book.

Super hot and sexy

The characters well developed & good. The plot was good but moved too fast. I felt that the characters got together way too soon. Or at least in real life it would’ve been real too soon.

Doctor, nurse, policy you get the drift! Great enjoyable read that reminds you how hard and selfless the hero's of the medical profession are. Looking forward to book 2

This was just okay. The characters were good and the writing good, but the plot was wonky and lacking. I had a difficult time continuing to the end.

Ok

The book was ok, it jumped fast. It was very short, and the ending was not what I expected, it ended strange. So my question is will it continue in book two?
