Throughout history, The Lady, Goddess of the Lycan world, has gifted werewolf packs with humans who carry her mark. Theodora Morrissey’s plans to return to college for her graduate degree are ended when she is awakened by an otherworldly voice on a rarely used airstrip in Nebraska. Injured and disoriented, she has no idea the discoloration on her back has marked her as a Seer, and that she is now a possession—and the prisoner—of the Novus Pack of Lycans. To the Novus pack, the word of their leader, their Laird, is the law. With compelling gray eyes and long dark hair, Raider Black rules his pack with intelligence and ruthlessness. To cement the security of his pack, Black has committed to mate another Packleader's daughter. But he’s finding it impossible to fight his attraction to the pack’s alluring new Seer, claiming her as his own. Sweet, fearless, and unintentionally funny, Theo upends Black’s world and pushes the boundaries of his rules. How far is Black willing to go, and what will he sacrifice, to save both his pack and the human Seer who’s found a way not only into his bed, but his heart?

5 STARS!!
"We're not human." He made his reminder in a kinder tone. "Don't judge what is going to happen by your human standards."
I got my socks knocked off! See Me was so completely engrossing . . . dark(ish), violent and well-written. I loved this shifter world that M. Jayne has created.

Triggers:

Plot in a nutshell: Beaten and left for dead, Theodora's body is dumped and then found on Novus Pack territory. In the course of treating her injuries, a pack doctor discovers a birthmark that identifies her as a seer . . . and pack property.

And so begins Theodora's introduction to her new reality as a 'prisoner' and human Article to the Novus Pack.

This was so good, you guys!

Theodora made for a fabulous heroine. She was both kind and generous, but it was her spine of steel and pragmatism that helped her navigate a completely foreign social structure, one that's male-centered and hierarchical in the extreme . . . all the way to the top, where pack leader Raider Black rules with an iron fist.
"I can feel his power all the time. I know he's the most dangerous Lycan in the room and that scares the shit out of me, but at the same time, it attracts me like the strongest magnet."
Raider and Theodora were combustible together.
"From the beginning, I felt things for him, with him, I didn't want to even try to understand."
I really liked the way their relationship was built up, piece by piece. Theodora goes from . . .
"He has always terrified me."
. . . to . . .
Could I handle the fact he'd always have the last word?
. . . to ultimately . . .
I could never be his equal. I needed to decide if I could live with that.
There were no easy answers and Raider was infuriating sometimes, lol. But while the author stayed true to her pack 'lore', she also managed to 'humanize' Raider every once in a while, giving the reader glimpses of his softer side.
It was the moments when she leaned on me or shared her worries that I treasured.
This is book 1 of a series, so the author is playing the long game . . . for which I'll be present every step of the way!! [FYI, this book ends on a VERY mild cliffhanger.]

Book 2 starts now!

Heavily beaten and left for dead, Theodora (Theo) Morrissey's body is dumped and then found on Novus Pack territory. Finding an unknown human on their territory has the pack wary and on high alert, when in the course of treating her injuries, they discover a mark that identifies Theo as a seer - well her life changes forever. Theo is now the property of the Novus pack and their fierce alpha Raider Black.

Raider Black is an alpha who rules fiercely, willing to spill blood to protect his pack and always doing his duty. The draw he feels to Theo is one he does not expect, but as a lycan used to getting what he wants, nothing will stand in his way. He may be contracted to , in the meantime he can live as he wishes, the only problem is he is underestimating how much Theo will come to mean to him.

I have to say I wasn't keen on the scene (luckily not graphic) where Raider has . This happens after meeting Theo - luckily, it didn't have my stomach churning as I thought it would.

I felt like I was right there with Theo learning to understand the new somewhat brutal world she had been thrust into.

At times I did feel the writing could flow a tad better, but it wasn't a big issue. There are explicit scenes of violence and gore in this book, so be ready. I have to say the Novus pack being involved in bummed me, what can I say my human mind.

Some f/f play between they are just friends.

I really liked Theo, she never gives up, she recognises her weaknesses but doesn't let that stop her.

Overall, an enjoyable read that engaged me, and I found myself keen to learn more about the pack, and characters so I jumped straight to book two.

Theodora Morrissey's world changes forever when she wakes up cold, battered, bruised, and obviously left for dead. Things must be worse than she thinks as she's also hallucinating. How else to describe an otherwordly voice in her head urging her to to hang on as the wolves are coming.

Raider Black is the Alpha Laird of the Novus Pack. He has worked hard to provide a safe haven for those in his care and has gone so far as to secure the pack's future in a beneficial alliance contracting to mate their Packleader's daughter. The Lady, Goddess of the Lycan world, must be pleased with his efforts as she sends him a Seer, a coveted rarity, to his pack.

Theodora now belongs to the Novus Pack. Owned and expected to benefit the pack.

Warning: This is a dark themed paranormal erotic romance. While the erotic content is consensual BDSM, for those who have a need to know basis, same sex (f-f) scenes are included. Additionally, the author does include content that may be a trigger to those who are sensitive to sexual abuse scenarios.

A new to me author's debut release. This book came up on my radar and sounded so intriguing I just had to check it out. My general impression is that this story brings to mind memories of Anne Bishop's "The Others" series though it could be that I wanted it give me that similar feel. The big difference is that this book is adult only (erotica scenes) and includes violence and animalistic mindsets in a modern world building environment.

Theodora (Theo) and Raider (Laird) have that slow burn type of romance feel. The author does a good job of building up their mutual attraction while dealing with a multitude of angst issues and baggage before getting to the good stuff. I'm on the fence whether one of these characters (not saying which) didn't stay true to character in flip flopping. The adult content features a dominance/submissive dynamics relationship that isn't as in your face traditional BDSM. Yet, this IS a first in series story so I'm sure there will be more toe curling sensual dynamic action to come.

Secondary characters. Excellent diverse cast of secondary characters added depth and complexity to the world building. I did appreciate that the characters had individual idiosyncrasies that required be dealt with on an individual personal basis. I'm going to hold off on identifying the pro/con characters who stood out so as not to spoil the reading experience for potential readers. There was one though who I totally fell in lust with and can't wait to see how things play out for them.

I do love surprises. Typically, paranormals are featured with human like morals and mindsets. All good and fine but their base self is an apex predator. I guess it's assumed ongoing exposure to humans has tamed them. The premise of this story is that lycans don't need to nor want to be tamed. They know who and what they are and act accordingly. They don't need to posture as their actions speaks louder than words. Chills and thrills as this results in scenes that aren't always politically correct or morally acceptable.

My issues are that while I appreciated the totality of this story, there were rough patches in the detail and follow through content. The whole The Lady character also left me confused in a similar manner as "are you a good witch or a bad witch?" I fully expect that with experience, as the author fine tunes her craft, this won't be as noticeable or apparent.

Totally loved this book. One of those stories that doesn't follow the cookie cutter norms and definitely targeted for adult only readers. Those who love a really good paranormal suspenseful erotic romance should definitely check this one out as the story gives a different look at paranormal shifters.

Yes, and No

I'm torn. I enjoyed the writing, the story sucked me in, kept me interested.
I would have given it 5 stars, if not for the gratuitous, "girl on girl," the main male character having public sex, in front of the main female character, and BDSM. I normally don't read books with any of that as part of the story. This one took my by surprise. There are other triggers within the plot. Plus in this book a mated couple, are OK, with the female having sex with another partner. I prefer the shifter mates that are faithful, (sexually, and emotionally,) to their mate.
So, the story is great. I enjoyed the writing, AND, thank heavens it's not a reverse harem!

I wanted to like this book, but there were too many things about the storyline and the characters that I wasn't comfortable with. For starters, I hated that the heroine was little more than a slave. Theo was literally considered property of the hero and his Pack, and what was worse was that she just seemed to take her situation all in stride, eventually even developing a deep affection for abductors. Gee, can we say, 'Stockholm Syndrome'? She did have some likeable qualities, but I could not respect a character who seemed so apathetic about her lack of rights and/or personal freedoms, or who could so easily forgive/love those who took them from her. I didn't like the hero much either. Raider was definitely not the 'knight in shining armour' type, which was fine- I like bad boys as much as the next girl- but I found his character insufferably arrogant and too lacking in empathy to be likeable. Every time I started to warm up to him, he would say or do something to remind me of what a ruthless and thoughtless a-hole he could be, particularly when it came to humans. His desire for Theo was apparent, but I didn't detect any true respect for her, which was a huge turn off for me and killed any notion of romance in my mind..... To each their own, but this book just wasn't my cup of tea. Although well written, I found the story disappointing at best and disturbing at worst.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Before I start this review, I am going to let you in on a little secret. I am a paranormal whore. I love love love paranormal AND shifters are like the icing on the cake for me. So, if you write a paranormal and I read it, I will judge/rate harshly. Its my favorite genre and its my go to read when I want something to read. With all that stated up front, you gotta know what I am about to say is deep and true to my soul……I. Loved. This. Book!! Like WTF!! It blew me outta the damn water. I will admit I was a bit skeptical about the whole Lady Goddess stuff at the beginning. I wondered if I would dig it or if it would be something I found to be an OK read. FRIENDS, this book rocked my world!! Like legit, ROCKED ME HARD!!!!

I absolutely loved the world M. Jayne (Melanie) created. I loved her mythology. I loved her side characters and seriously I am hard crushing over Lore BUT I am also scared outta my mind at him. Raider Black is our main character and he is so tough and bad ass but so tender when he wants to be but also please remember he is uber bad ass!!! Theo is thrust into this NEW world. She stumbles but runs into it with eyes wide open. When she is given her new title in the Pack, she tried to be 100% the best she can be. Her friends Solle and Conal are the best companions for her. They are loyal to Black but guide her and help her understand the human world is not at all like the Pack’s world.'

The story was so wonderfully written. I seriously kept saying “one more chapter before bed” and then the next thing I knew it was 11PM and I and 10% of the book left!! Might as well just read it and appreciate the reason for being grumpy the next day was because of the wonderful story telling. I thought the flow of the story was amazing. You were always wondering what would happen next. I know the angst of the two main characters fighting their pull and draw to one another was amazing. When they finally give in to one another it only made their bond THAT much stronger. The character banter was hilarious, but the emotional draw of the characters made me so excited for this new series!

I am so excited for the next book and wonder where the story will take us because I am totally hooked on the Novus Pack!! #TeamNovus #TeamLore #TeamSweetBabyJesusThoseWereHotScenes

Let me say, I was not sure what I would think of this book before I started it. There are several shifter books/authors that I enjoy and then there are the ones.....I just don't care for. Let me state that once I got sucked into this story, It grabbed me and did not let go. I liked the world building. The premise and group dynamic worked for me. I enjoyed the main characters and their developing relationship. I am so looking forward to the next in this series. Bravo! This one wins for me!

This author has ventured into the paranormal world of shapeshifters to give us an ultimate sexy alpha male werewolf story. What a wonderful start to the new series with a strong plot and great characters. The author has given us great depth and detail in this book that will have you totally engrossed to the very end. Raider Black will have you totally hook with his Christen Grey dominance in the bedroom and outside the bedroom. I received an ARC copy of this book and here is my independent and honest review. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series as there is still so much more to learn and know what all these fantastic characters. If you are a Paranormal reader I would highly recommend this book and even if you are not I am positive you would also enjoy this book. Well done Melanie Jayne on this great sexy romantic and suspenseful book.

Theodora is a survivor who finds herself at death's door and left for dead before the Novus pack of werewolves find her. Everyone soon learns she is a gift from The Lady, Goddess of the Lycan world to the pack and her ability to see the future will see her become the Seer. Being the Seer now has her as a prisoner and a possession of the Novus Pack. Can she adjust to her new life or will death look like the better option?

Raider Black is the ruler his pack, he is the Laird, he is the law that all others must follow. The Novus Pack is a forward thing Lycan Pack to which Raider Black is the person to bring his community into the modern day world with his intelligence and ruthlessness to rule. Black is committed to mate with another pack leaders daughter but she has shown no interest in committing to the said agreement as of yet, but as Lycan they can live an extremely long life over centuries so there is no rush. Black soon finds himself fighting the attraction for the fearless and sweet Seer, he soon claims her as his. But the Pack must always come first but Theo upturns Blacks feelings as he must decide between the pack and his woman.

Theo also fights the dominance of Black and struggles with the feeling she has for the Laird and the man she possible loves. Can she find a middle ground between the two Alpha personalities? As her powers grow so does the danger to herself and the pack, can she learn to stop the danger before it happens? Will her growing relationship with the Black be too much for her to cope with as she learns the ways of the Lycan world. She is just a weak human that all Lycan dislike.

I’m so confused by all the 4/5 star reviews… this is literally one of the worst books I’ve ever read.
I don’t normally write reviews but wowowowow this was truly horrible.
So, the pack are basically human traffickers and the fl was like “oh no, that’s so terrible… let’s just ignore that”
I genuinely dislike every single character in this book.
The whole thing is giving cult, like I can maybe forgive the fl because she’s clearly chugging the Kool-Aid and being manipulated by all the cult members.
Her “best friend” in the pack is incredibly annoying and I really don’t understand all the praise she gets for being a “great” doctor. Like, her bedside manner after the fl had literally JUST WOKEN UP after being attacked was abysmal. I’m so confused? Is the “great doctor” in the room with us rn???
The word building was ass. The writing was ass. The characters were ass. The plot was… you guessed it, ass.
Also, she’s brutally attacked and has a leg in a cast or whatever. It’s mentioned constantly at the start then literally never again, I remember her saying she’s walking and darting away and shit and the whole time I’m like “is she doing all this with her leg in a cast orrr?”
Anyway, I’m not here to yuck your yum. If you like this book, that’s great. If you don’t, even better.
Complete waste of time, I’m so mad I read this and the fact that this is my first ever review literally has me ready to crash outtt 😭

DNF- first I don't like weak women. I thought from the blurb that she would be a guiding light to these wolves/shifters. but she is following along and crying about everything. then she is referred to constantly as property. I read another review that praised the book and I can't figure out why. I know there is a second book but I will not be reading it. Don't get me wrong the author is a good writer but her characters are deplorable. I usually have someone to route for and can't wait for the HEA. but there is just nothing to route for. She has no backbone and no self-worth. And the love interest part is sickening. And on top of all that, "they hate humans"???? WHAT????

Intense

Not much of a break between the pages. The story is intense and never lets you think this world is filled with sparkly vampires. These lycans are brutal, dominating, territorial, sexual, and always hungry for something. The heroine struggles to stay sane in a world that just isn't. She is strong but not always in the ways she wants. She knows any romantic relationship with a lycan will end in disaster...but she will do so anyway. Good book, darkly erotic and disturbingly addictive.

M. Jayne is the alter ego of Melanie Jayne, who writes about hot, sexy alphas males. Now she’s ventured into the world of hot, sexy alpha werewolves. And she’s hitting the mark. And hard! In See Me we find Theo thrust into this new world unknowingly. This new world of werewolves is fresh, exciting, and smoking hot! Everyone needs to meet the Novus Pack.

Now that was definitely not what I expected. A few words come to mind when thinking about See Me...
I mean, Fifty Shades who?

FIRST THINGS FIRST THOUGH
This book is definitely not for sensitive readers. It has violence, explicit sexual encounters (f/f & group) as well as scenes describing rape, physical abuse, and emotional abuse. It also has a very strong BDSM theme (dom/sub) that might not be to everyone's liking.
So, be warned all ye who enter here.

The story is about a young Seer, who is Marked by The Lady, the Goddess of the Lycans. Theodora is taken in by a wolf pack in Nebraska, led by Raider Black, a great and powerful alpha. She befriends the wolves but it is still quite clear that all bets are off when it comes to her safety. Just one wrong step and someone's head might get ripped off. Literally. (It happened three times).

She enters into a relationship with the pack leader. It is a very complicated relationship since it is basically with three people: The man, The Laird, and the Wolf. All three have different reactions, but their first priority is always the pack. Theo knows that her time is limited with these immortal creatures, but she dives headfirst into her new life. There are complications of course, her newfound lover is promised to another. Her gift from the Goddess is growing every day and if the past is any indication it is not going to end well for her. She might go insane or Raider would have to kill her if she is a danger to his pack.

It was definitely not what I expected, and not the type of books I read very often. However, I really enjoyed it. The pack dynamics and intricacies were something different from the regular romance/fantasy books. It felt more dangerous reading this - it felt real. The author isn't fluffing it up or romanticising it to save anyone's feelings. Straight forward. And I like it.

I found it to be just like the pack's words of life
Cum Nobis aut Contra Nobis

You're either going to love this or hate this

For me it's the former.
So the next one is all lined up and ready to go.

**Please read the entire review**
I have so many why’s going around in my head about this book. I felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story and I was constantly trying to catch up. The storyline is really very good and I really liked the characters but there was no world building and no background profiles. If I had never read a paranormal shifter book and had some understanding of that world I could see someone not finishing the book. As I said before there were so many times I asked myself why and I felt lost in the their world.
**That being said I was intrigued enough to continue reading, because I had to find out more about these characters and where this would lead.
Theodora Morrissey wakes to find she’s been left to die in the middle of nowhere. A voice from somewhere tells her to seek shelter and that the wolves are on their way. Scared and in pain she does her best to hide from the wolves she knows will kill her.
Raider Black, Laird of the Novus Pack searches for the intruder on the packs land. They find Theodora bloody and broken in the abandoned building and that her to their healers. Once there they discover she’s a marked human, a gift from the Goddess. Theo must learn her place in the pack and fight her ever growing feelings for the Laird. She’s strong and open to learning about the powers she’s hidden since she was a child.
Raider is highly suspicious of Theo and why she was gifted to his pack from the Goddess. He will use her Seers powers for the pack until she’s of no use. He senses her powers are great which can help the pack greatly or hurt them in the end. His inner wolf wants her but he knows that can’t happen, he’s pledged to an other. Avoiding her is impossible, she calms the beast and intrigues them man.
There’s a traitor among them and Theo’s powers are called upon and her and Raider must come to terms with their ever growing relationship and her powers.
I would say this book ended on half a HEA and half a cliffhanger. I will be definitely reading the next book to see what is in store for these characters. I’m hoping in the next book there will be some world building or maybe a Prequel novella?

So as a reader I sometimes get stuck on what to read next and nothing sounds good, this is why I’m glad my friends are readers too. See sometimes we read the same authors, but there are other times that they can off up a new author that I haven’t read and this is one of these times.
While searching for someone to read some of the other Twinsie pointed me in the direction of M. Jayne and her Novus pack.
Holy heck am i glad for friends after starting this series. First of all I love how every shifter author has their own rules for shifters and while some are the same there are differences too.
Theodora Morrissey is left beaten and frozen on a airstrip runway and is no longer just a “human” when she awakes, she is now a Seer and marked by The Lady.
Raider Black is the Novus pack leader, for him Novus comes first above everything and he will do whatever he has to do to make sure that it stays that way,
OMG, the heat that these two have is off the charts first of all and second Theodora is having to learn about her new life. Her place is with the pack, she is theirs, well Black’s, and there is no going back to her old life.
She has all these things that she has to learn, about the pack, about shifters, about what The Lady has gifted her and how to use her gifts for the good of the pack. While she has been marked which is a honor, she is also just human so not as good as a wolf.
Black and Theodora fight the pull between them for a while and it is hot watching said pull, its also hot watching them when they stop fighting.
Not only is the book hot, but it has its humorous moments too. Along with the hot and funny are some tearjerking moments, so be prepared to laugh, cry, and be turned on all with one book. LOL!!

This book is very well written, with complex and intense characters. While Raider and Theo are the main characters, we begin to get insight into those within their inner circle. This world is different from other authors Shifter worlds. It is a strange mixture of medevil, old world ideals and practices with current high tech available and very well used for the benefit of the Novus Pack. It is indeed a Male dominated world and most of those in power are male while a small number of females do hold highly visable and important positions as doctors and guards,
The Laird (heres the medevil aspect) rules ultimately, and if that Laird is cruel, then all those beneath him must suffer silently and without objection. Fortunately, while Laird Raider Black is more progressive than most, he still rules with an iron fist as fairly as he is able, but still considers Humans berneath Lycans.
Those humans within the pack ar considered Articles, posesssions, and once declared as such, are without rights within the pack, and must obey all the rules set forth, whether willingly or not.
I have a hard time with this, as well as the rough and some times violent sexual scenes within the book, which is not usually without injury, danger nor limited to private spaces or behind closed doors.
This book ends abruptly and their story supposedly ontinues in the next book.
I was unwittingly dropped into this world by reading the 2nd book in the Novus Pack World series. From reading "See Me" I am curious as to how this couple became the one in "Ghost". Because of this, I will read "Feel Me" if it ever is available within the Kindle Unlimited program.
You on the otherhand, should proceed with caution, just as other reviewers have advised.

This book had so much potential and I was really into it for the most part. It was a different look at a shifter romance. In this story, the female lead, Theodora, the Seer, is not seen as the true mate for the Alpha of the Pack Raider Black. He is already promised to another female from another pack. The problem is that they can feel a pull towards each other and aren’t sure what it is. Theo is loyal to the pack as their Seer and does what she can to help them out and the works alongside the Laird, Black. Though they fight it, they still end up together. One thing that bugs me is that he’s still planning to end things with her once his mate is ready for him and still sees Theodora as his “consort” which truly sucks and I don’t see that as a romance at all. However, you can tell that they are truly bonded and closer than any “mated” couple. The problem is that she is human and marked and he is a lycan and they see things differently as the shifter world, in this book is kept hidden from the human world and they stay off technological radars. Things heat up for the pack and for these two and when you finally feel like they are getting somewhere, THIRTEEN FREAKING HOURS LATER and “This has been “See Me” by M. Jayne … “. WTF… I mean WTAF. How are you just gonna leave a girl hanging like that…. After thirteen long ass hours. Then I look and this is the first book in a series but the app doesn’t have the second book. I can’t… I just can’t… I’m so annoyed at this point, I’ll probably forget this book and not return to the series.

I’m a bit torn about this book. I read it start to finish and liked the alternating points of view—also liked the idea of a person showing up totally baffled in a frightening and unfamiliar place without knowing how or why she got there. I like good fantasy and try to write it myself. But this book struck me as too much like 50 Shades (ugh, can you give a book minus stars?). I hasten to add that the writing in this book is worlds better. The triggering and explicit subject matter did not bother me as it does some. Sexual abuse, human trafficking, rape, all manner of sex aside from plain vanilla, bdsm—all this stuff happens to human beings, which in my opinion shouldn’t make it off-limits to fiction writers. I don’t know—I guess country&western werewolves just aren’t my thing, and the explicit sex, which didn’t offend me, didn’t particularly excite me either, which I think it was intended to do. I was interested to read one of these shifter books, because I ended up with a werewolf character in a fantasy series of my own, yet I didn’t even realize what a fantasy sub genre this is. Now I know. I’m figuring other readers may like this book just fine.

When Theodora is found in the middle of nowhere left to die and not sure how or why shes there things are about to change in her life. Raider Black was the all powerful Laird for the Novus pack of wolves, his word was law and he wanted to know how Theodora ended up on Novus land he wanted answers and wanted them as soon as he could. Theodora kept talking non scene and come to find out that she had been touched by the Lady and they were positive that she was sent to them for a reason to help Novus anyway that she could. One issue Raider's wolf was calling to her and was going to clam her as him at all cost he didn't care. While Theo was still trying to figure out what the hell was going on with these new powers she suddenly had. Wow oh wow this books was amazing and i could probably go on and on but I wont give anything away. Raider Black is oh so sexy and amazing Theodora is shy and stays in her bubble but had a wild possessive side to her. Will these two be able to help each other through the ups and downs or will they be doomed from the beginning.

Goodness I was not prepared for my depth of commitment to this series. The storytelling is wonderful! Although I normally do not necessarily like books written in first person, M. Jayne did a fantastic job of keeping me enthralled. It felt as if I were the character, which I find many authors who write in first person fail to do.
The Novus world could be true! I want to travel all over Nebraska to discover if there are werewolves hiding in plain sight! It didn't hurt that her sex scenes were scorching, or that her characters are entertaining and like many of my neighbors. Perhaps I need to check on them a little closer.
I did like that she did not try to hide the darker side of a paranormal world. M. Jayne provided many trigger warnings prior to the reader beginning the book. With this being said, I believe she handled the character's horrific experiences in a truthful and respectful manner.
I have already recommended this series to friends.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This was my first book in this genre. I don't know if this book is typical for the genre. I thought it was well written and the story line was good. I did read the complete book. I have down rated it one star because of things I didn't like in the story. I was uncomfortable with Theodora "belonging' to the Laird. She was branded and had to present her brand to him, even though they were lovers. The sex scenes were graphic and not typical of romance stories that I have read in the past. There was violence that I am also not comfortable with in a romance. These things will add interest in this book for some readers and turn others off. I wanted to let potential readers know that this is not a gentle love story.

Did not finish- there really should be MANY trigger warnings on this book. It’s unfortunate since the Seer part was an interesting twist on the traditional shifter theme.

It was ick to me that people who were supposed to be caring for her preyed on her physically once. Ok, weird but then she finally got with her dude but then he joins in on it when she’s not into it? I mean one of them is her doctor. Then she makes it extremely clear that she’s got a hard line she doesn’t want to cross and he’s like yeah imma change that. Come on. Then something crazy terrible happens where she sees visions of SA, murder, incest, and the guy comforts her by crossing her one big line? This person supposedly cares about her? I tried to push through it but it just wasn’t for me.

What a Ride

Jayne gives you a constant rollercoaster ride of emotions in book one of this wolf shifter series. Theodore Morrissey finds herself lost and injured in a world she never dreamed existed. This new life has her being pushed well beyond what she believed possible when her new family nurtures her hidden powers. She is their Seer, a most revered position in their pack as wolves and Lycans, despite the fact she is human. Lucas can take human form, and Theo is drawn to the powerful and enigmatic leader Raider Black. Both Theo and Black are tested to their limits when it becomes clear each wants what they cannot have...each other.

This book started off interesting if not a little confusing. I received it as part of the Stuff your kindle day so I wasn’t as careful about reading the reviews as I should have been. My mistake. Nothing in the blurb alerted me so I was caught off guard. I like shifters and psychics, and I like true mate romances. This is not that. I stopped reading when I realized there would be F/F action. This isn’t my scene. Had I read the reviews I would have seen the warning. If there were other warnings I totally missed them. The book has an interesting concept but it isn’t the type of romance I was looking to read.

Great read

I liked the intensity and strength of the lycan world created by the author. I also liked the Laird and the things his pack did for him. I’m not offended by his sexuality with the females of his pack as some were. After all, he’s the Alpha.
At this point though, our heroine’s role is kind of unclear. I also didnt like her description of being lush. This is my fictional escape and I want my MCs to be beautiful, with healthy bodies. Sorry, just how I feel.
I will definitely read the second book. Fascinating world.

This was a big book! And, I was so happy that I loved it. Characters that I loved and a story that I enjoyed getting further into.

I loved that this wasn't really a wham bam, thank you m'am kind of read. It was a slow simmer and that made it enticing, made me want to keep turning those pages to see where things would go. This pack is organized, a bit brutal, a bit fun, and super sexual. I was continually surprised at what was going on.

Lots of heat and lots of danger. Well plotted and well written. Looking forward to reading more of this Novus Pack!

This is a great start to a unique series, Theo is found injured by the Novus pack. What happens next is a miracle for the pack and Theo must learn to accept her new life with the pack. This is an action packed adventure with a steamy background with charismatic characters. I can't wait for the next installment of this series to see how Theo's powers will change and the Laird's involvement with her. Great Read!

Engrossing

I really enjoyed this book.
I felt so many emotions reading this story. I was frustrated, sad, worried, excited.. that's how I know this was good.
I do see Theo as a bit of a pushover, but I understand in this society requires 100% obedience or death. I'm nervous about book 2 because I read some reviews and I feel some serious heartbreak coming. I'm excited though...
