CKMC #3

Coveted by Chaos

Rate this book
Gunner
he only family I have are my brothers. The ones I fought with in the war and the ones I ride beside in my club, the Chaos Kings MC. I keep everyone else in this fucked up world at a distance. It’s better that way, isn’t it? One night I stumble upon the most beautiful red-haired vixen to ever walk this earth. Never did I think that the Cheetah Club would have the cat just for me. She’s enticing, captivating, and decadently delicious. The sultry movement of her body calms the ever-growing darkness and pain that surrounds me. I want to touch her, to breathe her in. But can I do that without letting her see the monster that I am?
Fiona
The King comes in to watch me dance at Cheetah. He’s unapproachable, unreadable but still I sense his primal sexual energy. Almost as if he’s a panther on the prowl. He matches this cat well, if you ask me. He isn’t like the others. He sees what others don’t. To him I’m not wicked or repulsive. I see him as well. I see the way he carries pain and darkness like an albatross around his neck. This Chaos King may want me to be afraid of him, but no one frightens me though, because I am as cursed as they come. And the only thing he does is draw me closer. All I want to do is know his name and know how sinful his lips feel against mine.

When you're brought up being told that you are a wicked temptation and a sinner for just dancing, you use it to the best of your abilities when you run away from the chaos that is your life. At least that is what Fionna did by becoming an exotic dancer.

When war and death make you a hard man with walls so high they can't be breached, you isolate yourself in times of despair and only allow a few to climb over your walls. At least that is what Gunner did.

Until he spotted Fionna and all his demons eased just from the sight of her.

But all their demons didn't disappear. They came back to haunt them and disrupt the relationship they were building.

This story is told in multiple POVs and involves around the Chaos Kings MC. To find out if Gunner and Fionna find their HEA one-click. You won't be disappointed.

To broken souls come together and forge a lasting bond.
She was running from a terrible childhood and her own demons. He was trying to put his life back together and to keep it that way. He was trying to find peace from his demons, that followed him home form the war.

He knew that when he was with her she soothed his demons and helped quit his beast. He saw her for what she was and understood her, better then most people in her life. He promises to always protect her.
They overcome obstacles that most people would, just curl up and hide from. They find a lasting friendship as well as a deep and lasting love for each other.

Gunner & Fiona

This is the the authors third book in the series, it’s an interesting storyline. Gunner is dealing with PTSD from the war and finds that the sexy redheaded exotic dancer Fiona brings him peace. Fiona is dealing with her own demons from her past and her attraction to the sexy biker. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author, however I really hope that Miss Lawless finds a new editor because her books would flow much better without the many typos and little mistakes that could easily be fixed. I’m definitely interested in seeing a couple other Chaos Kings getting their own books.

Fiona has not had an easy life. Fleeing from abuse, she does what she knows she is good at and dances in a strip club. The decent money allows her to live in a nice little apartment. But what she lives for is the big biker who comes in every week to watch her dance. What she dreads is someone taking her freedom. Gunner does what he needs to get through the days and nights after leaving the military. PTSD causes headaches, black rage and the medication helps a little. What helps a lot is the redheaded dancer he watches. She fills him with peace. He finally approaches her but they both are gun shy. Danger comes calling and Gunner will have to decide, would he want to live without her?

Linny Lawless is another author I discovered recently who writes MC books that I would consider a bit lighter than some out there. Her MC, the Chaos Kings are a safe club, the good guys. Banded together for the brotherhood, the tribe and they are a true family. Gunner is accepted for who he is but at the same time, his tribe wants to help him. They want him to get to know Fiona and to take a shot at happiness. Fiona desperately wants that same thing, family and a sense of belonging. There isn't any other woman drama, no cheating. I really enjoy her style, her taking a chance on writing some different characters than you usually find in an MC book. The characters are unique, the guys are still strong, leaning towards alpha for sure but not over the top. This is a series that I will continue to follow, Ms Lawless makes it easy to love the Chaos Kings.

I was prepared to love this so much more than I did?

I don’t know what happened. I was so drawn to the stories description. What drew me to the book in the description was the passionate intent of the hero. Sounded like he was a major protector. He was very protective. But the descriptions, the verbiage, didn’t really connect emotionally. The flow has a stop and go rhythm at times, there are chapters where I could easily get lost in the book-and there are also points where I struggled because the words were repetitious, the author also wasn’t giving the character enough space-keep pigeon holding him. It also felt like she was taking us in a medical direction and some of that was just let go. The story took another turn. This is part of the flow issue, like a train that’s constantly hitting the breaks just as it gained full speed.
It’s my first book, by the author. There is enough here to try another one of her books-plus I already one clicked a few of them...so there is that. I do think the book works as a stand alone, that’s not the issue. I think I just had great expectations.
If i had to compare the stories to another MC series, I would say it’s in keeping with LeAnn Ashers MC in core values.

This author writes a brilliant MC book and she doesn't disappoint with the Chaos Kings.

Fiona has always loved to dance but as always been told it was wicked when she finally escapes her abusive family relationship that is what she uses and becomes a exotic dancer this gives her a good life living in a small apartment but hat she really wants is the big tough biker that comes every week to watch he dance. Gunner has built walls so high around his heart no one well ever climb them he has PTSD from his military days and the only thing that seems to ease his condition is the red headed dancer he sees each week. Will these two damaged souls be able to find peace together and what happens when their pasts come back to haunt them.

Fiona has escaped an abusive past. Gunner struggles with the remnants of war.

Linny Lawless has a deep love of the motorcycle club world. The feeling is captured in every nuance of the plot. I think that's what draws you in the most. The characters have gone through a lot, but its quite clear they are never really alone because they find a brother/sisterhood - their tribe. So, of course this series is romance, and you expect a happily ever after or at the very least that the couple will find love. Coveted in Chaos does not disappoint nor do the other books in the series, but somehow I thought Fiona and Gunner had a little something extra.

I also feel Linny's writing is growing with this -- her third release. Linny is an author to watch.

I really love the "Chaos Kings MC" series!! They are all stand alone reads with connected characters. This is Fiona and Gunners story. It was an amazing tale. Fiona had not had an easy childhood, nor her brother. Gunner doesn't believe the nightmares will ever go away. He is damaged and does not believe he can ever be whole again. He is mesmerized and entranced by her beauty. She is scared to trust. These two amazing but damaged people find each other. Can they make it through everything to be with each other? I liked this story a lot. You have the Gentle giant and the sweet soul. An amazing story. I hope her brother gets a story.

This is the 3rd book in the ‘Chaos kings MC’ series and it is quite the read … I was captivated from page one! It is a fast pace page-turner that is action-packed, suspense-filled, and one wild ride. The characters Fiona and Ethan (Gunner) heat up the pages with their undeniable, potent chemistry. It is well written with a well-developed plot, witty banter, humour, and an intriguing storyline. This book is an on the edge of your seat read, and will leave you wanting more. I look forward to the next book in the series. Fioanna is an exotic dancer at a strip club pushed into from always being told she is a wicked temptation and sinner just for dancing. Gunner is part of Choas King MC and feels he is a haunted damaged soul. The story is told in multiple POV's with a beautifully written plot that moves quickly and smoothly. Coveted by Chaos is an awesome MC Standalone book within a series. The book is well developed with the story line and the characters. Fiona runs away from a difficult life and ends up running into Gunner a member of a motorcycle club who is struggling with his demons and PTSD. When their worlds collide they find solace from each other.

But of course that solace doesn’t last for long and who she is running from seems to find her and makes her life even worse than before.

Both Fiona and Gunner don’t have family to run to for the peace and security that your family is supposed to provide. Gunner does have his brothers in his MC which is a family he can rely on. Fiona doesn’t have family of any kind.

I recommend you read this book to find out if they can outrun their demons and find solace together or if the demons continue to run their lives. Does Fiona find the acceptance and family she truly desires? Must read!

Fiona and Gunner two broken and just real, so much more than just some characters. I was hooked to them and felt like a stalker wanting to not only get to know them but know that each needed the other.

Linny did so well with not only them but giving their story such amazing words that make you feel as though these were real people who have gone through bad hands and deserved a hand of king and queen hearts.

It's not easy for them but they are strong. My first book from Linny and has a new fan in me. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

I fell hard for this wonderful book, it's wounded characters and the beautiful romance in it. Gunner and Fiona are both emotionally scarred and carry heavy baggage. This makes the powerful attraction they share all the sweeter. These two will certainly touch your heart with the painful things in their pasts. I loved how they could quiet each others demons and the way they saw one another so clearly through all the static around them. An excellent blend of heat, heart, drama, danger and action. I really enjoyed this book. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and stayed there until the end, all the while watching it play out in my head.
Twists, turns and surprises await you within the pages of this book. There are some really good surprises, some you may see coming, others you wont.
My heart really went out to the main character in this book, I felt the emotions of both characters and found myself going through them all at the same time they did.
I am really enjoying this series and recommend it to all you MC lovers out there.

This is the first I have read from this author, I liked the story and characters and even though I knew there may be typos, there were quite a few near the end, as though the author was rushing and it took a little away from my enjoyment. However, this is the third book from what I gather and I am intrigued, so much as to look up the other books

Well was totally stoked with this read. Yeah this book brings back the standards of the first book. It read well and got you caught up in the story. I covers two very hard subjects but in a way you can understand but not so fully that it spoils the read for you. It’s a book that makes you think. I still feel that this author could extend her books into a fuller story but this book could be read by anyone not just MC readers.

This was my first time reading this author but definitely not the last one. This was a great story featuring two damaged souls. Gunner suffers from PTSD and never knows when it will hit. Fiona is a survivor of child abuse both mental and physical. The pairing of these two is wonderful. Destiny is a hoot!!!! Hope to read more about this clean MC.

This story has a compelling storyline. The characters Fiona and Gunner have issues from the past that haunt them. Fiona is a dancer and Gunner comes in often to see her. They are attracted to each other and soon have relations, but how will they navigate through things from there past when they resurface? The author depicts the MC life in detail for a greater understanding. A must read.
