The day I left for college, falling in love was the last thing on my priority list. But I did. The only problem is I’m not sure whether falling for Grey was the best thing to ever happen to me…or the worst. Grey is intense, dark—an enigma with the power to hurt me, yet the ability to seduce me with a simple kiss. If only it were easy for me to fall into his arms and look past all the secrets and uncertainty that surround him. But nothing about loving Grey is easy. He is the owner of my heart, and the master of my pain. Yet no matter how much it hurts, I can’t stop loving him. I won’t. I know my infatuation with him is toxic, but here’s the thing…I don’t care.
Allison White is a writer spending most of her days creating stories when most people are asleep. She has always been a lover of stories, especially romance. From the very first word she typed, she knew writing was her passion and never stopped. And when she isn’t creating stories that tend to break and mend reader’s hearts, she’s either listening to music or getting way too involved with fictional characters.
I've been putting off writing this review for a couple of days, because frankly, I'm still very conflicted on my feelings for it. I finally decided to go with the 5 star rating, because even though I still had some issues with Grey, I wasn't able to put it down until I finished every last page. However, before I go further, I must say that this is the second book in the Spectrum Series, so in order to fully understand a lot of this story, you MUST READ Grey: The Encounter (Book 1) FIRST! I want to say that I did see a lot of growth in Olivia aka Liv, in this book, but Grey still rubbed me the wrong way at times, because even with some growth, he still had a lot of immature fits when he didn't want to do something, and going out of his way to hurt Liv. But the talented Allison White has him growing on me bit by bit, so I'm not completely writing him off anymore. There was an interesting cast of secondaries, as some added humor, while others added more drama to the mix. And besides all the emotions that I did feel, there were twists, as all the pieces to the puzzle aren't complete yet, so my f-bomb dropping was strong. Last but not least, that ending, oh that ending. Yeah that ensured that Ms. White has been added to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and hash tag her #EVILWHORE FOREVERMORE! I definitely need that next book, as I want to see how it pans out, and if Grey EVER earns my full love once I'm down from the cliff! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
“ Please let me feel. I need to be able to feel. I haven’t in so long, and I love it. I can’t lose it now.” ⠀⠀ * I received an arc for my honest review * ⠀⠀ Love, beauty, sexy, toxic. ⠀⠀ Guys... that quote... I’m crying. There is so many moments in this book that you just want to cry and scream and laugh and kill the author, sorry Allison. You really see how hard Grey is struggling with his illness and life and his childhood and I just want to hug him and never let him go!! Olivia’s character development is so strong in this book, if you take Olivia from the beginning of book one and the Liv from this book... I mean wow. Same with Grey. I really liked how the author has written about the characters and how she’s so passionate about her books. You can really feel her passion when you read her books. It’s insane. AND THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OMG OMG OMG I SCREAMED. This is such a awesome book and I need you all to read it. Like now!! I can’t be more proud of you Allison. This is awesome. ⠀⠀
OMG this book is everything and freakin amazing. Both of the characters development in this book are so strong Olivia’s character in this book has changed a lot from the first book. She went from being the girl wearing the clothes her mother bought her and listening to her mothers every word to being an independent confident strong woman. Greys character development was also good because we read about him struggling with his illness, life and childhood. I really like how Allison has written about these characters it’s made me fall in love with them more and more. THE CLIFFHANGER AT THE END WAS INSANE OMG I WAS NOT EXPECTING THATIT MADE ME SO MAD AND SO SAD AT THE SAME TIME OMG I NEED THE THIRD BOOK IMMEDIATELY AHHHH. If you haven’t read this book yet then what have you been doing with your life. You need to get yourself a copy now because it’s bloody amazing
Fell in love with the characters. Loved the story line! Overall would definitely read again as well as recommend to others. One of the best book series I've read. I think out of all of it the only thing I didn't like was the ending, felt like it could of been more... we don't really know what happens to his career and stuff about him so much. I almost felt like the ending was kind of rushed as well as changed from what it should of been because of not wanting people to be mad. Don't get me wrong I feel like that's how it should of ended but not quite. I feel like in the end she wasn't who she was and she forced him to change as to where throughout the whole series without realizing it they both start to change for the other because they want to not because they feel like they have to ending kinda felt like it was more forced changed then willingly.

Grey and Olivia have a lot of back and forth. While they are great on the good days, the bad days offset them in every way. You want to cheer them on, although at the same time you find yourself wishing they would go their separate ways. Throughout I found myself expecting both characters to be more mature than they are. While both have heavy issues from their familit's and the past, it can be difficult to move through the story. It was a good storyline and premise to it. I did find myself wanting to know what would hapoen, but also wishing it would end. As with the first book this too ends on a cliffhanger. ~A Wild About Romance Review.
This is the 2nd book in this fantastic series, and carries straight on from where #1 ended. Grey and Olivia’s story continues with Grey struggling through life, and Olivia becoming stronger throughout. This is an emotional story, which is an engaging page turner which had me totally intrigued and captivated throughout. This story ends in yet another cliffy, and I for one cannot wait to read #3 in this phenomenal series. This author has done an amazing job in writing this series, and in my opinion; this is one of the best which I have read for a while.
I love this book! I mean when I read the first book I was kind of confused about there relationship but I still gave it five stars but this was a whole new level. This book tackles there relationship from meeting family to breaking up once again. I hate how this book ended because I really wanted them to stay together and work it out but that didn't happen. I am still going to read the next book.

Why two people that love each other as much as Liv and Grey do hurt one another? Maybe they didnt try to do it but they can not help it. The reader knows the reason of Liv deceits but Grey doesn't. He is specially hurt because of his disease but also because despise of it he was learning to be open to be there for the person he loves. I got hooked, I dont want to but I need to know what happens nex
I didn't like the characters in book one, and I still don't like them now. This book is about 30 chapters too long. Everything is so drawn out, and the conversations are repetitive. There's still too much unnecessary drama in it. It's chock full of it, and it's annoying. I had to start skimming at around 7%. A painful read. I won't be reading the next book.
This is the second one in this series. The relationship between Grey and Liv continues to grow and get more intense. But there is to much standing between them for it to be a happy relationship. Love the chemistry and the storyline. Definitely grabs and holds your attention. Intense and gripping.
Great reading. Just couldn't put it down. So many ups and downs you just keep waiting for something to happen and it does but not until the end. Now I have to get the next book in the series to find out what happens.
Don't be like me and think this is a standalone because it's not. Someone pointed this out to me so it's only fair I tell you the same thing.
This book continues right when Grey : The Encounter ended. You really do need to know who Grey is and what has already happened before delving into the darkness of the infatuation.
Is a monster born that way or do circumstances make him so? Is innocent over rated or under valued?
Grey walks the fine line between what he is and what he needs to be often losing his balance and falling along the way, his past interfering with his vision of the future and his present ever changing.
Olivia blossoms in the infatuation, she's like a rose under a glass dome. So beautiful yet fragile and delicate at the same time. Petals fall as her Heart breaks will she remain standing or wilt and give in and revert to her past self.
I got cocky I thought I knew what was going to happen and I was both delighted and shocked. Astonished actually that I was so wrong.
How can something so wrong be so right I can't sum this book any better than that.
To read is to understand where my mind is, my thoughts and my delight at the unexpected. What an utterly fantastic book. This is definetly a must read series of 2018!!
This book was so hard to put down. I finished it in less than 12 hours, while still doing what I do every day. Whenever I got a break, I engulfed this book. Grey is funny, frustrating, and sweet. His relationship with Liv, most of the time, makes you wish you had a boyfriend like him. The last book was amazing, this one was perfection, perfection, perfection! I am so excited to read the upcoming books, especially after the end of this one.
I really, really enjoyed this book!! I recommend reading the 1st book in this series before reading this one!! This is the continuation of Grey and Liv's love story!! This book grabbed me right from the beginning all the way to the end it was so good I finished it in 2 hours I couldn't put it down!! This is a definite 5 star must read!!
