Oh my word!!! This series keeps getting better and better. I quickly picked up the story line again and really loved the new main characters in this part of the series. I have a lot of questions regarding the characters that was not answered in this book but hopefully it will be answered in the next instalment. I can't wait to see what is going to happen next. Nancy Kilpatrick is a very skilled writer that has the ability to suck you into the pages of her book. This book can't be read as a stand alone I recommend you start with the first book in the series, it won't take you long to read as you won't be able to stop turning the pages.

The third installment of this sexy dark vampir series has left me wanting more. This book picks up where the second one finishes and though the main focus of this one is the Sapiens queen Blanca and the vampir king Than which is as explosive as you would expect from this author I loved the glimpses into life for King Moarte and his queen Valada and their hybrid daughter Serene her husband Wolfsbane and their life. Absolutely fantastic beautifully written as always and definitely impossible to put down. Anxiously awaiting book 4 now.

My thanks to the Author via TBConFB (The Book Club on Facebook) for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review. I gave this a 4 stars or 8/10.

Whilst, this is the third in the Thrones of Blood series it like the first two could be read as standalone reads. However, if you were to do this you would miss some of the back story. Whilst each one predominantly features two different main characters they also contain characters that featured quite heavily in previous books in the series.

As with the other books there is a relationship of sorts between the two lead characters, in this case Queen Blanka and King Thanatos. As with most relationships they never run smoothly and this one is no different.

As the two are abducted and are at the mercy of their captors, who like nothing more than subjecting them to torture, with scenes of bondage and sexual depravity this is definitely not to be read by the under 18's or the easily offended.

To find out how they cope and if they manage to survive all that befalls them, you will need to grab a copy of this for yourself.

Well written, this is a great addition to the series. All the content in the story is there to enhance it and in no way gratuitous.

This was a fantastic read with brilliant characters.  I loved Blanca and thanatos characters.  I'm looking forward to next book.  Love this series.  5*.

Abduction of Two Rulers (Thrones of Blood Book 3)
By: Nancy Kilpatrick
5 out of 5 stars

The story Abduction of Two Rulers (Thrones of Blood Book 3) by Nancy Kilpatrick is the next thrilling book in a series that I have loved since reading the first one. The author has a way of drawing you in. The storyline is addictive and the characters are unforgettable. I found myself lost in the pages not wanting to put the book down. This story is one that includes betrayal and the start of a major conflict. There is much at stake as plans are put into action. Survival is the greatest goal. I loved reading about the character of Sapiens Queen Blanka. She is a woman who instead of turning to battles wants to reason and work out differences between the vampirii and the Sapiens. She has now found herself imprisoned. Blanka is a character that I grew to love and one that I hoped would succeed in all that she does. Another character that I loved reading about is the Vampir King Thanatos. He also finds himself imprisoned in the same cell as Blanka. I found Thanatos to be a very intriguing vampire. Blanka if asked would call him an honorable and just ruler. He has great support from those in his realm. Both Blanka and Thanatos escape as they know that they must end the conflict that others are starting. Thanatos is missing. Blanka is determined to find him. Will Blanka find him? Does he still exist? Will the conflict that has started be able to be stopped? Read this book to find out. I am totally hooked on this series. I love each of the books and also how the characters are brought forward into the next story so that you get to find out what is happening with each of them. The story is told from several character’s POV. This is another example of a well-written, page-turning story that I highly recommend. I also recommend that the series be read in order so that the stories can be fully understood. I am excited about and can’t want to read the next book in the series.

Abduction of Two Rulers continues the stories of the Vampirii and Sapiens set in a world of battles, love and revenge. We're introduced in more detail to characters King Thanatos and Queen Blanka, a Vampir and Sapien King and Queen thrown together when they are abducted and imprisoned by the vicious Vampir Queen Lamia and Zaget, the vile Sapien general, who have formed some sort of alliance against the other Rulers. We follow the story from the intense emotional positions the two Rulers find themselves in, through their escape, separation and fight to survive.
King Moarte, Queen Valada, their family and Vampir soldiers are still fighting against Queen Valada's father Sapien King Zador, who wants to destroy all Vampirii. The two stories become entwined as they all fight to survive.
I've read the previous 2 books following the stories of the Vampirii ruled by King Moarte and Queen Valada and love the way Nancy Kilpatrick writes these books. This is no "Edward and Bella" tale being far more gritty, with detailed scenes of violence, brutal sex and a lot of gore but none of it is out of place or unnecessary, after all we're talking about bloodsucking Vampirii here.
Abduction of Two Rulers is book 3 in the series but like the others reads well as a standalone, but if you're like me then you want to know what's going on around the characters and what happens next, so the rest of the books are a must.

This series is just getting better and better, this is by far my favourite of all the three books, this is a dark and sexy vampir read at its very best.

This picked right up from the second book, and i got straight back into this war between Vampir and Sapiens, this book was about Vampir King Thanatos and Sapiens Queen Blanka and how they came to be locked in a dungeon together after a meeting of all the heads of each region.

This story flowed at a fast pace that kept me quessing at every turn if these two were ever going to find each other after they was both kidnapped then escaped.Loved how we got to find out about the other characters from the previous two books and how they got themselves involved in this war that was brewing between all the regions.

This was a rollacoaster of a book that never let up with plenty of action, cruelty, torture plus lots of hot sex between the two main characters of Than and Blanka. The ending has now left me wanting to find out how this next installment is going to pan out as it's getting nearer and nearer to an all out war, and to stop this they need to join forces to out the evil Lamia the oldest Vampir in there history.Fantasic book.

Book 3 in the Thrones of Blood series is as it says about the abduction of two rulers, the Sapiens Queen Blanka, and the Vampir King Thanatos, and their fight to survive the torture and ruthlessness of an ancient Vampir ruler who has forged an alliance with a power hungry Sapiens who likes to think of himself as a King, despite his unpopularity with the people.

This was quite the roller coaster ride! It's tense and atmospheric, the characters deep and complex, you're really getting into it with this novel. I wasn't sure at first about the relationship between Thanatos and Blanka, as it seemed to happen very fast, but it grew on me, it took a little time for Blanka to grow on me, believe me, I like her, but she needed to slow down and to think a little more with her head than her heart, but I can see her growing as a character.

The writing as usual is very excellent, Ms. Kilpatrick always succeeds with sucking me into her world and not letting go until she's finished. There's another cliffhanger, and book 4 is not out yet, so patience for the next chapter is in order.

A great read, highly recommended.

Award-winning Canadian author and editor with nearly two dozen novels and more than 200 short stories to her credit, Nancy Kilpatrick excels at writing dark fantasy, horror, mystery, erotic horror, and nonfiction. Abduction of Two Rulers--a dark, erotic fantasy--sizzles with her veteran skill and sense of adventure.

This third novel in the series involves the betrayal, imprisonment, and romance of the vampir King Thanatos. Meanwhile, King Moarte and the Sapiens are on the brink of war. Moarte and Wolfsbane are busy trying to head off the war, leaving them unable to help Thanatos or his true love search for him until long after he is surely dead.

I am a fan of dark fantasy but not a reader of erotica. When I pick up the first in this series, and then the next, and now this one, I always say, “I am not the right audience.” Nevertheless, I can’t help but get caught up in the story. Kilpatrick has been a vampire fan for decades and she knows them well. Her skill weaves stories that feed the cravings of the traditional lore fan as well as offering new treats.

I received this book after reading the other 2. These stories feature different protagonists but they follow into each book too painting a picture.
This land is fraught with danger and death, humans and vampirii most live in a sense of harmony but others still seek control and destruction of their opposing species.
Queen Blanka has been kidnapped and is forced into a cell with also kidnapped and starved King Thanatos. He feeds from her but both have an attraction to each other that brings forth comfort and love both have not realised they need.
After escaping they find themselves with Serene in her grandfathers kingdom and ready to give birth.
More plot intrigues as Thanatos goes missing and Blanka as a newly turned vampire tries to understand what is happening and where she fits in this new society and species adjustment.
Equal parts gruesome/erotic this series is one on its own and I’m looking forward to book 4.

Nancy Kilpatrick returns with the 3rd book in this series this time looking at one of King Moarte's ally vampirii, King Thanatos.

At the end of the previous book Queen Blanka, ruler of a sapien kingdom held a conference to try unite and bring reform between the sapiens and vampirii, not aware of the traitors within the kingdoms who would capture both Blanka and Thanatos.

Ultimately Queen Blanka is transformed into a vampirii herself by Thanatos and helps save Serene and her children with the help of Wolfsbane from King Zador's kingdom.

Thanatos is keen to stop war erupting between the lands but is stopped in his tracks by Queen Lamia. Will Queen Blanka be able to help free her love? Is war between the realms on the cards?

I received a copy of this book from TBC Reviewers request- Thank you
This is the third book in the series and although I can see how it would work as a standalone to get the full impact of the book I would definitely recommend reading the first book before you begin this one. This book picks up from the end of the second book but follows another character's relationship developments through the book. I really like the change of main character that Nancy has in each book it keeps the reader entertained and she manages to bring into the books/discuss other characters that we have met in other books.
A brilliant read that definitely worth your time!

The third book in the series, what can I say? I could not put it down, page-turning, emotionally invested I love this book so much!

As always, big delivery of the story, an epic vampire tale that touches the emotions, I’ve spent many a night staying up way too late to find out what’s next…
No spoilers in this review but suffice to say I had to order book 4 before finishing this book because I couldn’t cope being without the next book.

When I wasn’t reading it, I was thinking about it.

So if you like vampire horror for adults, want a gripping page-turner that you can’t put down filled with action and emotion then this is for you. Thank You, Nancy.

Thoroughly enjoyed the third instalment of this series. This story introduces us to two other rulers in the Vampirii and Sapiens worlds. The tension between the nations escalates as they are kidnapped and held prisoner. There follows a nail biting journey that intertwines Serene, Moarte et al from the previous instalments with BLanka and Thanatos. I found myself on the edge of me seat, literally. Kilpatrick draws you in with her characters and you very quickly fall in love with or hate them.
I am looking forward to the next instalment.

This is my favorite book of the series so far. Riveting from beginning to end, intensely erotic, and filled with gut wrenching drama, this next installment in the Blood Throne series soars. Kilpatrick keeps churning out complex characters that we love to cheer on as they face daunting challenges and cruel mistresses in many forms. It's just so flippin good--when I finished reading "The Abduction of Two Rulers", I was both drained and satisfied. I can't wait to read the next b

I read all 3 books back to back beside a pool in spain. The series has left me conflicted. I enjoy erotica but having worked with rape victims, the casual use of rape and degradation to control and subdue the females made uncomfortable reading. Especially as the women seemed to go from hating the men to accepting this meant the men loved them.
It is a dark gritty unforgiving world that both the humans and vampires inhabit and I truly struggled at times to work out who were the good guys .
I did find myself wanting to know what happened with the characters even though I skipped over places I personally found disturbing
The series was very well written, I enjoyed the authors dark and gritty world but was very uncomfortable with some of the content,
Will I read the 4th instalment?...Honestly I’m not sure

This is the third book in this series and each book, for me, was better than the last. Not my normal genre of books but thoroughly enjoyable. In this volume the characters are explored to a greater depth, and the vsmpirii laws explained further. The characters are really likeable and the story kept me gripped. . I looked forward to reading each evening, which is my measure for a good book. looking forward to reading the next instalment. .
