Fugitives' Gamble

Rate this book
An imperial inspection, a pirate raid, and a spacewalk… and that's just before lunch.

Captain Rance Cooper prefers being called anonymous transporter instead of smuggler, but the heiress-turned-fugitive has a knack for finding trouble. Stranded inside a battle zone, Rance must decide which is worse - turning herself over to the authorities for protection, or fighting off a horde of angry space pirates.

Breath taking action as Captain Rance and Solaris/Roote battle to escape a space station. Did I mention pirates and Unity soldiers?

T.M. Catron’s Star Streaker stories are a totally fun universe to play around in, and Rance Cooper is just the ideal character to do it with. That’s exactly what we get in her Fugitives' Gamble: A Star Streaker Story. Action, adventure, strong characters in a well-built story universe. Not much more you could ask for. This book definitely delivers. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to more Star Streaker stories.

A fun short story about Rance and Solaris/Roote on a space station trying to do business and of course they run into trouble with both Unity and pirates showing up. Now they have to escape with a ton of action that made me laugh at the problems they seem to find. I enjoyed the story a lot.
