My name is Mia Donovan, a twenty-two-year-old, small-town girl who became the billionaire James Maxwell’s mistress-turned-girlfriend. My life is in danger, as I have been kidnapped by a man from my dark past, a man who would do anything to keep me at his repulsive mercy. But I know James loves me, and he will not allow this bastard to take me away from him. James will come for me, and when he does, all hell will break loose.
Alexia is a self-proclaimed hermit, puppers-loving girl who likes to write anything romance—be it contemporary, historical, fantasy, paranormal, or a combination of any of these. Currently residing in Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud), she spends seventy percent of her time watching anime and reading comics and the other thirty percent daydreaming about food and procrastinating. Whatever’s left she actually uses to write books that may or may not bring her a few precious gold coins to support her lifestyle.
I was sad when the book came to an end, but was happy to see the happy ending of the James family. From the continuation of the previous story, Mia had been rescued safely and the villains of the story were very nicely beaten. I liked the bonding between the brothers and the friends and the new additional members in the story (whose release I am waiting for eagerly). Alexia loves to keep her readers wanting for more. Happy Reading! :)
In the end, I really enjoyed the story. The character's had an average development through it but I believe that since the actual length of the books and the story, in general, is good. Also, I must admit I kind of liked the story because the books are the kind that my best friend loves.
*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*
This final volume begins with Mia’s nightmares of her younger years. The happenings haunt you day and night and the readers remember the events leading up to the kidnapping as Mia flashes back to how she got where she is. Genius!
As much as I want James to save Mia in the nick of time and Mia to recover miraculously overnight, it is more believable this way. My heart broke for Mia, for Andy and for what their loved ones had to go through. Their struggles only made their reunion more tear-jerking and heart-warming; and their sexy times that much sweeter.
Scott is as hilarious and funny as ever and little Aria’s innocent remarks had the grown men’s panties in a twist. Love Andy’s spirit and Mia's determination to free herself and not wait for Prince Charming. Way to go, girl!!
Sophie’s unclear fate and lack of mention of James’s age still irritated me.
This volume is packed with lots of Aria/James, Mia/James, Mia/Savanah, Andy/Mia moments not to be missed. It also comes with Andy/Matt’s kiss scene with all the feels. Not to mention, a surprising and refreshing ending in the good, old, traditional way.
Hoping to see cameo of James and Mia in the subsequent series and possibly mini-James’s or mini-Mia’s running around with Aria.
As always, a great book for me. The last volume I've been waiting for. I was having mixed emotions while reading this but all was good in the end. Satisfying and worth it. I was a fan of this series and its a great story for me, its dark and lovely at the same time. Cheers for the author! 😊😊😊
The story was flowing good until the part of Liam Maxwell. No full explanation about him getting married and why Scott was verbally torching one of the sisters. The ending was so rushed. James loved her and the way he proposed to her was cold and meaningless.
Overall I loved this book and not only the plot and other characters which are more way connected to the story. I loved James and his brothers and friends especially Matt. Cute Aria added to the story got the emotional connection. Cute love story with slight dark edge.
I love the way James is having confusing feeling toward Mia, and how he is trying to figure it out. But obviously James didn't want to keep Mia for 5 years, he wants her forever.
Ive read boks 1 to 5 and are single handedly amazing does someone have book 6:loved to help i can't afford as of now the last five made adent in my savings
It was good to finally see the James family finally happy. Especially the two love birds who met in a weird way. I sincerely send my regards to the author of this book Alexia praks
